After an, 'annoying' song according to Gohan, the Crystal Empire was decorated to how it was a thousand years ago.

The Mane 6 made a whole fair for the empire.

Jousting, flags, animals, instruments, you name it!

It took a few days, but it was happening.

Gohan began to tire from the lack of sleep.

Bags appeared under his eyes.

Twilight called for the Crystal Ponies to attend the Crystal Fair.

Just from hearing Twilight yell for the ponies to come to the Crystal Fair made the Crystal Ponies sort of crystal again.

But, the Crystal Heart wasn't the actual one.

That was the one problem.

The one Twilight made was merely temporary.

"I'll retrieve the heart." Twilight said, rushing to find the Crystal Heart.

Only Gohan and Spike came, the rest of the Mane 6 had to keep the Crystal Ponies happy with the fair.

"Gohan, this is my test!" Twilight said.

"The test doesn't say you can't get help. Besides, you may get lost in there!" Gohan said, pointing at the castle.

"Ugh, you can come. Don't do anything, like Spike promised me!" Twilight said.

After finding the throne room with the gem exactly like Celestia's, Twilight performed a dark magic spell.

It revealed a staircase in the floor.

"Wow, that's cool!" Gohan said.

"No time, Crystal Heart!" Twilight said, rushing down the stairs.

"I'll take us down there in a jiffy, and my aura can be a light!" Gohan called.

"Fine!" Twilight exclaimed. "But nothing other than this!" She added.

"Alright, alright." Gohan said.

Gohan took Spike and Twilight and traveled to the bottom of the stairs at breakneck speeds.

As they reached the bottom, a door appeared.

Twilight attempted to open the door, but it kept moving.

"Should I destroy it?" Gohan asked.

"No, let me handle this." Twilight said, using another dark magic spell.

When the door opened, each of them were put into a different place of mind.

Twilight was suddenly in Celestia's palace.

She looked around in confusion.

"What are you doing here?" Celestia asked.

"I-I don't know, I opened the door and then-" "Now you must go." Celestia said.

She was clearly enraged.

"Go where!?" Twilight asked.

"Doesn't matter to me. You failed the test, Twilight!" Celestia said.

Twilight was shocked. She failed!?

"I don't understand, the test!?" Twilight asked.

"Not only will you not move on to the next level of your studies, you won't continue your studies AT ALL!" Celestia called.

Twilight was in tears. "B-But, you didn't say I wouldn't be your student if I failed!" She said.

Celestia wrapped her wing around Twilight, only to push her away instantly. "Didn't I?" She asked, trotting away.

"But, what do I do now!?" Twilight asked.

She looked to see a stained glass with King Sombra defeating her!

"No... No... no...." Twilight muttered.

Gohan was having his own nightmare.

He was suddenly back on Earth.

"The heck?" He said to himself.

He suddenly sported Piccolo's gi.

Without the cape.

And he was in the Cell Games arena?

The Mane 6 were approaching him from afar.

Twilight waved as she came closer.

"Did you really think you won?" A familiar voice came from behind.

A worried Gohan turned around to see...

"Cell! You're back!?" Gohan asked.

Cell chuckled.

"Do you honestly think a barrier can protect the Crystal Empire?" He asked.

"How do YOU know about that!?" Gohan asked.

Cell chuckled.

"Can't say. Speaking of which... Are those your new friends?" He asked, pointing at the close Mane 6.

"No... Don't you dare hurt them!" Gohan yelled.

"Oh, I won't... But they will." Cell said.

Behind Gohan came many childish giggles and muttering.

"The Cell Juniors!?" Gohan asked.

They all charged at a petrified Mane 6.

Gohan quickly flew after them, but he was suddenly stopped.

Cell had caught his foot from behind.

"Not this time, RUNT!" He yelled.

He instantly swumg him around many times in less than a second and hurled him at a pillar of the arena.

The pillar broke, obviously.

"No!" He cried out.

The Mane 6 were were being brutally and mercilessly beaten up...

He tried to charge at them again, only to be halted by Cell once more.

"You know what? I'll turn the entire planet to dust!" He yelled, charging a yellow ki blast in his hands.

"Y-You wouldn't!" Gohan yelled.

"Say goodbye to your precious Equestria!" Cell yelled.

"Equestria?" Gohan asked.

"GOHAN!" Spike screamed.

This got them out of their trancelike state.

"Are you okay?" Spike asked.

"I... I'm here...? I'm here! Oh, thank Kami." Gohan said.

"King Sombra's dark magic." Twilight explained.

She opened the door with good magic this time.

This revealed... another room.

With another staircase.

"UUUUGGGHHHH!" Spike groaned.

"I'm here, remember?" Gohan asked.

"Oh, right." Spike said.

"We better make this quick, I'm getting tired." Gohan said.

Gohan carried Twilight and Spike to the top, but he already began to pant.

The barrier he kept was weakening as he himself was tiring.

It's been two days.

At the top, they saw a... Crystal Heart?

"Alright, let's get the Crystal Heart so I can turn off the Super Saiyan and maybe take a nap!" Gohan said.

"Alright! Now, let's get this Crystal Heart to Cadence!" Twilight said, carrying the Crystal Heart with her magic.

But, suddenly, Twilight was trapped in dark spikes! She even dropped the Crystal Heart!

"W-What!? No way, how did he get through!?" Gohan asked.

"H-He!?" Spike asked.

During all of this, King Sombra managed to get through Gohan's barrier with a little trick.

Pinkie Pie was doing her usual crazy things around the outer walls of the barrier.

Why was she outside of the barrier...?

"This snow will go great with my 氷!" Pinkie yelled.

(Not the full word but just flavored snow cone)

King Sombra was lurking around...

He snuck up behind Pinkie with his smoke form....

She was humming a song.

I dunno, Smile? Don't know.

And he possessed her by literally going into her body!

Her eyes turned green, and her pupils were red.

She was under complete control.

She entered the barrier no sweat.

And Sombra just exited for a good reason.

He vomited rainbows as he left...

Anyway, he already began his assault on the Crystal Empire.

"My Crystal slaves..." He called.

The Crystal Ponies were running everywhere crazily.

They lost their sort of crystal look.

The rest of the Mane 6 rushed to Cadence.

"Princess! I accidentally let Sombra in!" Pinkie Pie exclaimed.

"YOU WHAT!?" Cadence and Shining Armor asked.

Gohan tried to smash the dark crystals to get Twilight out, but they kept regenerating too quickly.

"D-Dang it! How will you pass the test if you don't get the Crystal Heart to Cadence!?" Spike asked.

Twilight thought long and hard.

She tried teleporting out of it, but she was put right back in.

"D-Dang it!" Gohan shouted, smashing the rocks again.

"Spike. You have to take it." Twilight said.

"But Twilight-" "SPIKE! It doesn't matter if I die, JUST GET THE HEART TO CADENCE!" Twilight yelled.

Spike picked up the dropped Crystal Heart.

"It's the only way, Spike!" Gohan said, grabbing Spike and traversing down the castle from outside.

King Sombra was already on his way to Twilight and the others.

"THAT HEART IS MINE!" King Sombra declared. His form became physical again.

"Spike, live through this for me." Gohan said, dropping Spike.

"AAAHH!" Spike screamed.

Gohan charged at King Sombra, and took advantage of his physical form.

He pummeled him to stall him.

King Sombra's assault was put to a halt.

But Spike was still falling.

"HEEELLLLP!" He screamed.
