It was Dinner Time.

Applejack knew of Gohan's... Special appetite. So she got extra food for Gohan.

A LOT of extra food.

Gohan sat in his seat, patiently waiting for dinner to arrive.

Applebloom sat next to Gohan, Granny Smith was at the end, and Big Mac sat across from him.

"So, I've heard you cleared the orchard with a slam..." Granny Smith said.

"Um... Y-Yes, I have done that." Gohan said.

"Do ya have a cutie mark in karate?" Applebloom asked.

"A what in karate?" Gohan asked.

"A cutie mark! You know, that mark that appears on your flank when you find your special talent?" Applebloom asked.

"Uh... I don't think I'm able to receive a cutie mark. And I don't do karate." Gohan said.

"But why are you wearing the gi?" Applebloom asked.

"It's made to look like my father's. I am a martial artist..." Gohan said.

"You're only 12?" Granny Smith asked.

"I think so." Gohan said.

"That's mighty impressive. What's with the weird looking blue shirt and wristbands?" Applebloom asked.

"It's... Weighted clothes." Gohan said.

"How heavy?" Big Mac asked.

"Please don't be as surprised as Applejack was, but it's 430 kilos." Gohan said.

The other ponies were wide eyed.

"WOW! You must be the strongest around! Maybe stronger than Big Mac!" Applebloom exclaimed.

"Eeyup." Big Mac said.

"I-I don't want to brag... Don't tell anyone else." Gohan said.

"How can ya move in that?" Granny Smith asked.

"Can I hold one of your clothes?" Applebloom asked.

"Uh... You can try my wristband... It's 15 kilos." Gohan said, handing Applebloom his wristband.

"T-This is tough!" Applebloom said.

Gohan took the wristband back. "It's difficult for many." He said.

"You defeated that oaf, Discord with that!?" Applebloom asked.

"Again... Please don't make much of a fuss about it. I mean, I am ending up in your class." Gohan said.

"I-I'll try and keep it a secret, but I have to tell the other crusaders!" Applebloom said.

"Can they keep secrets?" Gohan asked with a smile.

"They sure can!" Applebloom chimed.

"You two are getting along already!" Granny Smith said.

"I guess I have a friend for school." Gohan said.

"Maybe he can help us get a cutie mark in martial arts!" Applebloom said.

Gohan chuckled nervously. "I-I don't know about that, heh." He said.

"Now, we got some fine food here for Gohan." Applejack said, pulling a tray across the floor.

It carries five regular sized plates full of vegetables and apples. There was also one huge bowl of rice.

Gohan came to Applejack's aid, carrying a plate to each pony.

"Aw, isn't that like a gentlecolt." Granny Smith said.

"Thank you." Big Mac said.

"Thanks!" Applebloom said.

"Thanks for helping out, Gohan." Applejack said.

Gohan finally put his giant bowl of rice on the table.

"None of us like rice, so we gave it to you." Applejack said.

"Oh good, I thought we were gonna share." Applebloom said.

"But wait, Gohan... Does the filly eat this much?" Granny Smith asked.

"He beat Pinkie in an eating contest, so we should probably get ready for 23rds." Applejack said.

The others stared at Gohan

"O-Oh, don't worry, I'll fast for tonight, I'll do more work for things like that." Gohan said.

"Oh. Thanks, Gohan." Applejack said.

"Alright everypony, dig in!" Granny Smith said.

With that, Gohan was already sounding like a drill.

The Apples ate slowly, staring at Gohan's appetite.

Gohan didn't realize it, and within 20 seconds, he was a fourth of the way done with his bowl.

"G-Gohan?" Applebloom asked.

Gohan stopped. With past experience, he swallowed before answering.

"Yes?" Gohan asked.

"H-How do you like rice so much?" Applebloom asked.

"Maybe because that's what my name means in Japanese." Gohan said.

With that comment, the Apples burst into laughter.

"How, how does Gohan mean rice!? Hahah!" Applejack asked.

"It's Japanese." Gohan said with a smile, resuming his meal.

"Are all of you able to eat this much?" Applebloom asked.

Gohan stopped. "Yes and no. All Saiyans have a huge stomach, but all humans seem to eat as much as you do." He said.

"Wow... An alien hybrid. That's so cool." Applebloom said.

Gohan laughed and resumed his meal.

"I wonder if the boy eats his veggies..." Granny Smith said.

"Let's see." Applejack said, leaving the table. She was halfway done with her food.

She returned with 3 bowls of vegetables. Broccoli, spinach and corn.

"Nopony here loves to eat these except for the corn, but they're good for us." Applejack said, setting the three bowls beside Gohan's big bowl of rice.

Gohan was finished with his bowl and already started loving the broccoli.

"D-Do you like those vegetables?" Applebloom asked.

Gohan finished the broccoli. "They're the best!" He said.

"W-Wow, a filly who loves his veggies..." Granny Smith said.

"I was surprised at him the first time I saw this." Applejack said.

Gohan finished his entire meal before anyone else.

"Boy, that was good!" Gohan said.

"Y-You finished before us..." Big Mac said.

"Thanks so much you guys." Gohan said.

The rest finished up their dishes.

Gohan took the plates into the kitchen, and actually cleaned them himself.

"W-Whoa, you didn't need to..." Applejack said.

"It's the least I could do." Gohan said.

Before Bedtime

"So... We have been deciding whether we should keep you here." Applejack said.

They were all in the living room, where a few couches existed.

"So... Are you guys alright with it?" Gohan asked.

"Well, are you able to do your own laundry?" Applejack asked.

"Sure, I can. I have been doing that." Gohan said.

"Without any doubt, we will house you, Gohan." Applejack said.

Gohan instantly smiled widely.

The Apple Family gestured for a group hug.

Gohan tackle hugged the Apple family.

"Well, Gohan. You have a busy day at school with little Bloom here." Granny Smith said.

"You two have fun, hehe." Applejack said, nudging Gohan.

Gohan gave a half death stare half gleeful face at Applejack.

"What?" She asked, breaking the hug.

Gohan laughed. "If I were a pony, probably." He said.

"What do you mean?" Applebloom asked, oblivious to what Applejack meant.

"It's nothing." Applejack said.

"Anyhow, I'll take you to your room, Gohan." She added.

Gohan was placed in the same bedroom as Applebloom.

They didn't really have many rooms to offer, but Gohan never minded.

It was time for bed, Gohan washed himself and brushed his teeth with his toothbrush.

He got in his small bed on the other side of the room, while Applebloom was on the other side.

"Well, see you tomorrow for school." Gohan said.

Applebloom was already fast asleep.

Gohan slowly drifted off, but he always had aching thoughts.

Some were about his past, some were about him having to live here now, and some about avoiding the media.
