"Y-You're crying...?" Sunset asked.

"D...Dang it...!" Gohan sobbed, sniffling.

He tried wiping them away, but they came back...

"Are... Are you okay...?" Sunset asked.

"I'm fine, I'm fine..." Gohan said, a little irritated at his tears.

"Stop crying already...!" He muttered.

"If you really need to cry, you can cry..." Sunset said.

"No, I have to stop." Gohan said, sniffling.

His tears seemingly stopped...

'Why did I cry!? That's embarrassing!' He thought.

"No, when you cry like that, that's when you have bottled up feelings." Sunset said.

"No, that's when I show weakness." Gohan said.

"Don't think of it like that... Sometimes, everyone has to cry." Sunset said.

"I mean, you're just a kid." She added.

"I... I don't usually...cry." Gohan muttered.

"What's going on?" Sunset asked.

"N-Nothing, I'm just... Uh... Emotional...?" Gohan said, clearly lying.

"I don't even need to try to see through that. I don't think heroes lie like that." Sunset said.

"B-But I..." Gohan mumbled.

"Look, just tell me what happened! It's okay, we're friends!... Supposedly." Sunset said.

"I can't tell you. I'm sorry..." Gohan said.

He let out a tear, rolling down his face.

...But he quickly wiped it.

Trying to hide it.

'He's being so persistent...! Is that how he is in battle or something?' Sunset thought.

As stubborn as Vegeta.

"Please, I want to help!" Sunset said.

"I... I'm really sorry, b-but I can't..." Gohan said.

Sunset held his hand, and looked at his scared and saddened face with her serious face.

"You have to understand. I can't just sit here and watch you drown. You can wave all you want, I see you drowning." She said sternly.

Then her hands created a small white light...

It created some sort of... Connection.

"You're my friend. The old Sunset might've turned a blind eye, but the new Sunset will stop at nothing to get you to talk. I don't care if you're millions of times stronger than me, or that you can fly, or whatever- I'm making you talk." She said.

Gohan very subtly whimpered...

"P-Please... I... I don't want to...!" He said.

He felt like crying all over again.

But, suddenly...

Sunset saw something weird.

It's like... A lock?

Well, some sort of transparent lock in front of his face.

It suddenly disappeared.

'What was that?' She thought.

"C-Can you let go of me...?" Gohan asked.

"Tell me right now. I won't see you in any different light, you're my friend." Sunset said.

"You let me off the hook for trying to kill you, so... It's okay, Gohan." She said.

Gohan was whimpering.

He really did not want to talk about it.

"P-Please... Stop...!" He whimpered.

Sunset was looking at the damages, and just...

"Ugh."

She let go of his hands.

...

"...A-Are you... Done...?"

"I never realized how freaking submissive you are." Sunset asked very suddenly.

Well...

True dat.

"B-But y-you... You're my..." Gohan tried saying.

He wanted to say girlfriend, but...

"You fought back with lasers and stuff when I was trying to kill you, you talked back to me when I insulted you, but now you can't even assert yourself. What, did the previous Sunset have some sort of dominance over you?" Sunset asked.

Gohan wiped his face...

"T-Technically, yes..." He said.

"Is it because I'm a woman or something?" Sunset asked.

"That's part of the reason..." Gohan said.

"Then the other part is...?" Sunset asked.

"...Er, you don't need to know that... Right now..." Gohan said.

He was grasping at straws not to spill it.

"Oh come on, this is getting stupid. It's like I'm playing detective but with only one kid that won't talk!" Sunset complained.

She was kinda angry with him.

"I'm sorry that y-you're upset..." Gohan said, cowering again.

Sunset sighed.

"It's fine, it's fine, I'm sorry I made you cry even more." She said, putting her hands to her forehead.

"I'm just too confused right now..." She muttered.

"I understand..." Gohan said.

...

Some awkward silence...

'I have to break him somehow... But he won't fight back other than saying no. So... Wait, I could just look at my phone! There's probably some pictures of us.' Sunset thought.

She pulled out her phone.

"What are you doing...?" Gohan asked.

"O-Oh, uh... Just checking social media..." Sunset lied.

It was kinda believable...

...But this is Gohan.

"Don't you lie to me now..." He said.

"I'm not lying." Sunset said.

"Look, I have ultra sensitive hearing. I'm a living polygraph machine. Well, kinda, I can't detect tiny sweat nor stress. While polygraphs are not infallible, in fact, they're horrific, I know you well. We're terrible liars. Our heart rates spike when we lie." Gohan said.

"Ugh... Nevermind." Sunset said, putting her phone away.

She was sure Gohan would slap the phone outta her hand or something...

"O-Oh... Okay..." Gohan said.

'I guess I'll do it undercover... I'll have to- Wait! I could do both!' Sunset thought.

...

"Hey, Gohan..." She said.

"What do you say about a visit to the... Er, aquarium...?" She asked, unsure if that's what he likes.

She pulled that out from the top of her head.

"Marine biology? Aquatic habitats!? Heck yeah!" Gohan said excitedly.

Sunset was just flabbergasted.

'That worked?' She thought.

"O-Okay... Um... I know that the Canterlot Zoo is a few miles away..." Sunset said.

"The aquarium is inside." She added.

"Cool! But... Why?" Gohan asked.

"Well, you look sad, and I made you cry a bit, so I want to cheer you up..." Sunset said.

It wasn't exactly a lie...

"When are we going?" Gohan asked.

"Now." Sunset said.

"Really? Don't you need a clothes change...?" Gohan asked.

"What's wrong with what I'm wearing?" Sunset asked.

"D'ah, I-I mean... I don't think what you're wearing is necessarily wrong... I'm just saying, it's a tad... bit... r-revealing...?" Gohan said, very nervous.

His thoughts were:

'Please don't kick my ass, please don't kick my ass, please don't kick my ass!'

"Are you calling me fat?" Sunset asked.

"Wha- No! I think you have a perfect figure, I'm just saying that it's a bit revealing...!" Gohan said.

'Perfect figure? Flattering, but weird... He is right, though...' Sunset thought.

"Well... I suppose a swimsuit isn't the best outfit." She said.

"Should I take you to your house...?" Gohan asked.

"Eh, sure. But I want to fly." Sunset said.

'First Goten, now her. Wow!' Gohan thought.

It didn't really annoy him, but it's weird.

"Sure... I mean, it's cool." Gohan said.

'Don't think about dad or Goten... We don't want another episode like that...' He thought.

"Let's go, they're closing in a few hours, anyway." Sunset said.

"Um... Ok." Gohan said.

Ah, what a day at the fucking aquarium.

Sunset was back in the original wear of the episode...

Which Gohan thought was just cute.

Wow.

But, anyway...

They were traversing a hall with tanks of certain types of fish...

There weren't that many other people.

"Ooh! Look! The common carp? Meh... Swordfish? Kinda cool... Oscar? Weirdly named..." Gohan muttered as he walked along.

Sunset was just confused.

He didn't even look at the signs, he just listed them off by looking at the fish only.

But, she had to investigate... kinda.

Gohan was listing off a bunch of fish names...

"Hey Sunset, did you know that farmed salmon's natural color should be grey? It's not shown here... I mean, it's pink because they eat the same ingredient in krill, named-"

Well, time to look through that phone.

Sunset was just ignoring Gohan's ramblings...

'Pictures of the group... There are so many pictures of him with us. Who's that other kid? Looks kinda like him... Are they related?' She thought.

That was Goten...

'They have that same outfit...' She thought.

"-and that's why that country should convert to the metric system, they're confusing the rest of us! Phew... Anyway, what do you think?" Gohan asked.

"Huh?" Sunset asked, turning her phone off.

"Are you paying attention to the tens of thousands of species of fish?" Gohan asked.

"Well, I'm just looking for the anglerfish." Sunset said.

She did like that fish...

But, little did she know...

"Well, the anglerfish exhibit is that way! Right past the fake sharks in tanks and the common carps placed across from them!" Gohan said, pointing down the hall.

Well, there are tanks on both sides of the place.

"Oh! Uh... Sure...?" Sunset asked.

She put her phone in her pocket...

"Then come on!" Gohan said, holding her hand.

He kinda pulled her with him as he walked kinda fast.

Sunset was a little confused and surprised.

It was sudden...

"I hear it's very popular, they even have hats of the anglerfish's esca!" Gohan said excitedly.

'Well, he's cheered up.' Sunset thought.

"My favorite fish might be the pufferfish, but the anglerfish is a close second!" Gohan said.

"Great...!" Sunset said.

Opening the doors to the exhibit...

There were skeletons, diagrams and tanks of anglerfish...

"I wonder if they have the explanation for their bioluminescence." Gohan said.

He let go of her hand.

"Let's go!" He said.

'Well, I could check later, that can wait.' Sunset thought.

She immediately followed.

What a fun time.

"Ooh. They DO explain the bioluminescence!" Gohan said, looking at a tank of anglerfish.

"I don't even need to see it. Certain bacteria in the water create a symbiosis with the esca." Sunset said.

"You're just as smart as ever." Gohan said.

"Well, I did get first honors." Sunset said.

"Yeah, I know. You were really happy when you finally got an A in biology." Gohan said.

"Yep. Hey, look, some baby anglerfish!" Sunset said, pointing inside the tank.

"Aw! It's so... Well, I'd say cute, but they all look like they're suffering. Kinda like bulldogs." Gohan said.

"Well, can't argue there." Sunset said.

"Is that a simulation? I don't remember anglerfish being this popular." Gohan said, pointing to a booth.

"I call dibs!" Sunset said.

Well, what a day.

It's nighttime and Sunset was riding on Gohan's back.

She was wearing a blue hat with a blue esca...

Gohan didn't, though.

"That was fun. We should go again sometime." Sunset said.

"Agreement." Gohan said.

Sunset giggled...

She grabbed her hat and put it on his head forcefully.

"Oof."

"I think it looks better on you. Kinda like I'm riding the anglerfish to battle!" Sunset said.

They both laughed.

"Can we take the long route? This scenery is the best." Sunset said.

"Sure thing. Just tell me when you had enough." Gohan said.

But...

Sunset noticed something ahead.

"Uh... Is that a UFO?" She asked.

"A UFO?" Gohan asked.

There was indeed a ship ahead...

A red and white ship, with a glass dome in the enter.

There was a man standing on top of it.

The logo in the middle of the white was of the Galactic Patrol...

The guy was complete with purple spandex.

He had weird yellow bug eyes...

"Aha! It's you! The one Watagash chose as his host!" He yelled.

"What?" Gohan and Sunset asked.

They were flying closer to get a better look...

"Great Space Cannon engage!" The alien yelled.

Then from his ship popped out a giant fucking cannon.

Then the guy pulled out a space gun...

"I shall disintegrate you before you can cause me any more trouble, Watagash!" He yelled.

"...Although I kinda slacked off for a few months before coming to find you." He muttered.

"What!? I can't hear you, you're very far away!" Sunset yelled.

He pulled the trigger, and-

Holy shit!

A big blue beam fired right at Gohan!

"Uh oh." Gohan said.

Sunset screamed and covered her eyes.

Gohan grabbed the backs of her knees and narrowly moved to the side!

Holy fuck, that was close...

That beam was actually devastating.

It was seen by everyone below...

It even had little electric sparks...

But it eventually died down.

"Man, that was close..." Gohan said.

"What happened...?" Sunset asked, peeking again.

Right after this...

A giant blue explosion ensued!

It was half the size of the damn planet!

It didn't hurt anyone, but it released a ton of powerful winds.

It was very random, so Gohan and Sunset was immensely pushed back by it...

They got pushed right into that damn ship...

Gohan grabbed onto that cannon before colliding with it...

He got their combined weight on top of the thing...

Apparently the space man now was on his knees.

"I almost fell..." He muttered.

Then he noticed the two.

"So you survived, Watagash!" He yelled.

"I won't miss this time!" He yelled, aiming his gun at Gohan.

Gohan stood on that cannon with extreme balance.

"My name's Gohan, what are you talking abou-"

Sunset wrapped her arms around his neck with a death grip...

"Oh no, he'll shoot!" She yelled, closing her eyes.

She was grabbing for dear life...

"Are you speaking about the Japanese 'gohan' rice I ate earlier? Are you trying to buy time, Watagash!?" The alien yelled.

Sunset was comedically choking Gohan as he tried to harmlessly get her off.

"L-Let go..." He said weakly.

"No! Protect me!" Sunset yelled, tightening that grip.

"This is where you get vaporized!" The alien yelled.

He pulled the trigger, and-

Gohan acted instantly, making his yellow aura flare and swatting the blue blast away!

...But the hat blew away too.

It was a weak one, so it died out pretty quickly.

Sunset was still holding on...

"Huh? You!?" The alien asked.

"What?" Gohan asked.

Sunset's death grip loosened.

"Did we win?" She asked, peeking again.

The alien pointed at Gohan...

"Son Goku's kind of mediocre son!" He yelled.

"What?" Gohan asked.

...

"...He does kinda look mediocre." Sunset said.

Season 3 edits are STILL NOT FUCKING DONE, DAMN IT!

I'm on the last story of it, but it's so damn hard! Over 20k words, and STILL not done!

Ugh...

And this trashy story took way to long to write, and I apologize.

I also apologize in advance for future chapters taking a long time. They will take a while.

I really suck at life, so that's why.

Before the next chapter, those edits will be done!
