Adagio's Accidental Harem Hassle!
Chapter 13: Chapter 12: Magic Trix
Previous Chapter Next ChapterAdagio Dazzle walked up to the old two-story building in down town Canterlot and took a good look at the sign to make sure she was in the right place. "Hoofdini's Magic Emporium" She read aloud looking up at the sign before going up to the door and looking at the two doorbells, the red one with marked shop and the blue one marked home. Adagio let out a sigh and pushed the blue doorbell hoping that her protege would be ready by now as when she had called her from Sunset's loft the showgirl had promised Adagio she would be ready and raring to go by the time the siren leader had arrived.
"Just a minute!" Adagio hard a voice shout from the other side as she heard the fast heavy thump of someone walking down the stairs ended with a quick sprint to the front door as it swung open to an obviously winded Trixie Lulamoon.
"r-ready!" Trixie wheezed as she caught her breath.
Adagio couldn't help but let out a small chuckle, as much as Trixie found herself running away from annoyed students or bullies you would think she wouldn't get so easily winded from merely running down a single flight of stairs.
"And what's so funny!?" Trixie asked with a pout.
"Oh, nothing" Adagio replied. "You look cute"
"Oh, ahh...thanks" Trixie blushed playing with the curl at the front of her hair. Adagio meanwhile examining her friend. The girl was wearing a sleeveless purple t-shirt that like Juniper's the day before did a very good job of showing off occasionally boastful teens ample bussom, if there was one thing Trixie could brag about it was she was by no means lacking in the size department, Adagio devilishly thought to herself before taking in the rest of the attire, a dark blue short skirt and some silver leggings going down into a pair of black boots.
"Nice ah... shop you got here" Adagio smiled wanting to make sure that her friend didn't catch on that she had been oogling her.
"Yes, well technically it's my fathers. Hoofdini was my great-grandfather you know!" Trixie boasted with a smile.
"Is that so?" Adagio asked with a somewhat inquisitive look.
"Yes, I never met him myself but my father is always telling stories about what an amazing man he was, and how he could do any trick without fail!" Trixie continued to brag. "Growing up my dad's stories inspired me to want to be a great performer as well, I was determined to become the world's first great musical magician....but....you've seen how that's turned out." Trixie sighed hanging her head looking down at the sidewalk.
"So you've hit a couple bumps in the road, give it time i'm sure crowds of people will be chanting your name in no time!" Adagio reassured the blue girl with a wink.
"Well, of course, I know that" Trixie puffed with an air of faux-confidence. "I just get impatient sometimes that's all" The girl half chuckled. "So, what do we do first? How should we start our Friendship lesson?" Trixie asked looking at Adagio in anticipation.
"Can't say" Adagio replied much to Trixie's surprise. "I'm just here to help you if you need it, overall what you decide to do is up to you."
Trixie just sighed and thought things over for a bit before gulping and shaking her head as if to confirm she had made some form of decision internally. "OK then" Trixie began "I-I think I want to confront Lavender and Fuchsia and apologize to them!" Trixie nervously exclaimed.
"Well, i'll admit that's a bit of a surprise, I was expecting something a bit more basic to ween you in, but if you think you're ready for the big guns I say go for it!" Adagio cheered giving Trixie a thumbs-up.
"I mean, I-I know most of why they hung out with me is because I paid them to, b-but I know deep down we really were friends despite that, or at the very least we really did have fun together at times" Trixie continued. "A-and if I don't at least try i'll never know for certain, right!?" Trixie gulped again as she nervously asked Adagio.
"Makes sense to me." Adagio chuckled. "But do you even know where they'd be?" The siren leader asked.
"I-I think I might" Trixie stuttered. And with that the two were off to find Trixie's potential ex-friends.
Lavender Lace and Fuchsia Blush groaned as they set on the bench in front of "The Flim-Flam Bros. Music Company"
"Ugg, I hate having to work summer jobs!" Fuchsia whined.
"I know F.B." Lavender sighed "Working when you should be having fun in the sun and flirting with hot guys on the beach is the worst!" Lavender added. The two girls just looked at each other once more before letting out a small half hearted chuckle. "Almost makes me wish we were still on Trixie's payroll" Fuchsia stated. "Yea, as if, i'll be happy if I never see that bratty bimbo again!" Lavender replied, quickly feeling as she had jinxed herself however as she turned around and saw the aforementioned Trixie walking towards her and Fuchsia with Adagio Dazzle of all people!
"H-hey girls" Trixie nervously smiled as she looked at her former back-up performers.
"What are you doing here Lulamoon!?" Lavender asked in a rather angry tone.
"And what the heck are you doing with that Dazzling chick!?" Fuchsia chimed in rather confused to see Trixie hanging out with a girl that she had previously considered one of her rivals.
"W-well you see girls I..." Trixie began with a stutter obviously quite nervous as she temporarily looked back at Adagio who just gave her a nod confirming her vote of confidence in her friend. "I-i've been getting, lessons, sort of, on how to be a better friend, and I-I wanted to come and tell you both I was sorry for the way I treated you and-and I was hoping maybe-maybe we could start over, you know, be friends, f-for real this time" Trixie nervously spouted out with a blush.
Lavender and Fuschia just looked at each other before looking back at Trixie, their face still rather disgruntled. "So let me get this straight...." Lavender began. "You think just because you've been spending some time with some reformed magical girls, whom you used to hate by the way; that we will just magically forgive you because you say you think you can be a good friend now!?" Lavender huffed.
"u-umm yes." Trixie mumbled.
"BWAHAHAHAHAAAAA!!!" The two girls laughed out loud causing Trixie to move back closer to Adagio.
"Seriously Trixie, the only reason we even hung out with a loser like you in the first place was because the pay was decent, but even that wasn't worth putting up with a brat like you at the end of the day." Lavender told the devastated showgirl.
"B-but what about when we weren't at school, th-the shopping spree's at the mall, t-the sleep overs!" Trixie asked, her eye's sorrowful and pleading, begging for any form of validation that at some point the two girls had cared for her.
" The shopping sprees were just a way for us to trick you into buying us stuff, and as for the sleepovers, well everyone needs a break from their family now and again, even if it means spending the night at a dusty old apartment of a bratty bimbo and her dusty old dad." Lavender manically laughed.
Trixie was heartbroken by her former compatriots words as she began to sob. "F-Fuschia, I-is this t-true!?" The heartbroken teen asked. Fuschia didn't say a word however as she just looked straight at the ground, obviously not having the courage to contradict Lavender's words despite obviously not agreeing with everything the girl had said.
Unbeknownst to the rest of the girls standing behind the spectacle Adagio began to feel her blood boil, seeing Trixie cry had awakened something in her like, that same primal force she had felt before began to take hold once more.
"YOU BITCHES!" Adagio shouted as her eyes began to glow bright red like the gemstone in her palm. "She came here to make amends and you just decide it's ok to break her heart!?" Adagio screeched as she walked up to the two girls anger oozing from her body she grabbed Lavender by the neck of her t-shirt and brought the now frightened girl right up to her face. "I should gut you like the pig you are!" Adagio growled in a scratchy demonic voice as her fingernails began to extend out into claws as she held them up for Lavender to see. Lavender meanwhile was paralyzed with fear and couldn't even scream out, nor could Fuschia who was in disbelief. This obviously did not please Adagio however as she let out another growl "Squeal for me pig, it's no fun if you don't squeal!" Adagio laughed as she arched her hand back as if she were ready to strike.
"AHHHH!!" Lavender shrieked as Adagio's claw closely came down towards her. Only to be stopped at the last minute by Trxie who was holding back the girl's arm.
"Adagio, Stop! T-this isn't right!" Trixie pleaded as she held back the angry siren's attack.
Adagio looked over at Trixie and saw the frightened look in her eyes. Immediately Adagio was knocked back to her senses. Realizing what she had almost just done her eyes grew wide with fear and she ran off.
"A-Adagio wait!" Trixie shouted as she ran off after the girl. Meanwhile Lavender and Fuchsia who were still in a state of shock just looked at each other, without uttering a single word just nodding knowing they were both thinking "Note to self, never piss off a magical girl."
Trixie continued to run after Adagio until the girl finally stopped at the park atop a small hill.
"W-what the hell was that!?" Trixie wheezed looking at Adagio.
"I-I don't know, i'm sorry, I-totally ruined things for you back there" Adagio chuckled as she began to cry.
"No, i'm pretty sure those two didn't really want to be friends with me anyway." Trixie laughed as she too began to sob the harsh words of Lavender Lace still echoing in her mind.
The two girls just continued to laugh like they'd gone insane as the both decided just to say "screw it" and fell back onto the grass and looked-up at the clouds. "You know, while Trixie is sad to know her fake friends do not want to be real friends, Trixie is still very grateful for the real ones she does have." The silver haired beauty smiled looking over at Adagio.
"Well, same here" Adagio softly smiled back. "I mean you're no Rainbow Dash, but I guess you're still kinda awesome" Adagio teased, Trixie just playfully poking out her tongue in reply.
"So, what do we do now? I didn't really have a back-up plan." Trixie explained.
"Well, I could think of a few things" Adagio cooed looking over at the buxom beauty.
"Hehe, yea right, Trixie doesn't want to be the one to cause a rift between you and Juniper" The girl teased back using her arms to cover herself up. "Besides you are not Trixie's type" The girl continued to tease.
"W-what!?" Adagio scoffed in fake anger.
"Yes, well for one thing your hair is far too poofy for my liking and well, like Sunset Shimmer and her little pet Twilight, Trixie prefers.......the more nerdy type." The girl admitted to Adagio.
Adagio just pouted "Fine I understand, everyone has a type I guess, Just don't be trying to steal Juniper away from me" Adagio chuckled.
"Oh heavens no!" Trixie reassured. "I said nerdy, not insane!"
"Hey now, that's my girl you're dissin!" Adagio continued to chuckle.
"Yea, well, that's your fault, not mine" Trixie playfully mocked.
The two girls eventually just sighed and laid down in the grass once more looking at the clouds as they relaxed.
Meanwhile a mysterious cloaked figure watched on from the shaded trees "Almost ready, but not quite....just one more push" The figure mumbled as it slowly faded away.
