An Assistant Tailor And a Handyman At Equestria.
Chapter 41: Amber Moon Part 1
Previous Chapter Next ChapterOver the next two months, Alessio trained intensely with his mentor Medal of Valor. Initially there had been a small moment of friction between the two, regarding the training and what was to be practiced, right at Alessio's house.
Medal Of Valor then had chosen the courtyard of the house. the aforementioned courtyard which was just a large open courtyard with trees, flower beds and a nice pond to turn it into a training facility. Alessio had been immediately against the idea and, it took him a while to explain to his mentor that in this open air, the possible secrecy of this training despite the high walls and the gate, would have been visible to prying eyes.
Despite Medal of Valor's expression and initial annoyance, he understood and finally agreed and then decided to use the basement, transforming it and was subsequently transformed in some way, to Alexis surprise as to how, his mentor had done and so in a short time, but Alessio was surprised by what his mentor wants him to train to become what were the last human protectors of Equestria.
Since then, in the last few weeks, Alessio has attended intensive lessons on the use of weapons and hand-to-hand combat. The mobility tests - which in Alessio's opinion seemed like a variant of parkour, but wisely he kept this thought to himself - were as difficult as they were complex, exhausting and, every time he fell, he always got up again, without ever giving up and started again determined to improve.
The weeks of training and teaching to say they were exhausting was an euphemism, Alessio realized from the beginning that his mentor was very skilled in combat and equally strict, but Alessio gritted his teeth and followed his teachings and no matter how many times he would fall in training, ignore his mentor's disappointed comments and start again more and more motivated and determined to succeed.
However, he managed and was happy to balance it: working at the spa or at Rarity's boutique, being with family and training together was a toll to pay, but the his past experience of having done multiple jobs had taught him how to handle such situations.
But, as he learned new fighting techniques, he had a feeling that his mentor, and perhaps even Luna, wanted to keep something from him when they addressed anything about the past of when humans had come to Equestria, despite Alessio's constant attempts to discover them by voluntarily entering into the topic discreetly in the attempt that his mentor or Luna would detect something, they were never successful, but Alessio he hope one day or another to discover something about it.
* Current day *
"If nothing unexpected happens, today I should at least have some time to go out with some friends and spend more time with my marefriends or friends or with Luna and Moonlight." thought Alessio sitting at the reception, he moved his gaze from the front door to the changing room and back to the front door, then he looked at his wristwatch, it was early afternoon on what was a slow day.
Today was one of those Saturdays, where most of the aforementioned, some of the patients tend to book massages due to changing working hours, finding some free time or simply visiting a family member.
He had met many ponies from different cities and also other species from different countries, this Alessio made a mental note to talk to Luna about traveling together for some time.
On the other side of the coin, on Saturdays at work at the spa the days sometimes got slow, so sometimes the spa closed early mid-afternoon and today is one of those Saturdays. And the rest of workers were on their day off.
Several minutes later, Alessio got up from the chair and headed towards the relaxation room, where a coffee machine had recently been added - in reality it was the machine for making American coffee as he knows it - and made himself a good coffee, meanwhile he decided that he would organize the orders of several customers in the daily diary and file some documents before asking his bosses if they would stay open for another hour or close early so we can all go home and he could spend some time with his foal.
"Um. I thought Luna would like the idea of taking a break from her royal paperwork and going for a walk together in the park, but if her schedule is busy, I'll spend time with Moonlight and I'll prepare a nice relaxing evening for Luna." he thought as he took out a paper cup, the sugar and the wooden spoon and served himself the steaming coffee. He also prepared two more cups for his bosses, who were in the massage room busy doing their check-up for the next client visits or arranging everything to start well next Monday.
While he stirred the sugar and in the time he took a sip of coffee. Suddenly he rang the doorbell at the spa entrance.
"I wonder why it always happens like this." Alessio chuckled at the bizarre timing for a customer to arrive at a time like this.
"I'm coming, please wait." Alessio said as he finished another sip of coffee almost risking burning his tongue with the hot liquid, he threw the paper cup into the bin and returned towards the entrance, as he reached the entrance hall, he heard the sound of hooves clopping against the tile floor.
entered the lobby entrance. Alessio saw two mares waiting in front of the entrance doors. He smiled apologizing for the short wait as he recognized one of the mares, one of his best friends and the captain of the Wonderbolts.
The strong and athletic yellow ocher mare smiled warmly at him as she took off her dark aviator glasses, revealing her beautiful, fiery orange eyes and placed them on her forehead at the base of her flaming Mohawk hair. Unlike the times he had met her, she wasn't wearing her traditional Wonderbolt outfit, but was wearing her favorite aviator jacket with her cutie mark stitched on the shoulders, blue jeans, and black and light blue sneakers. Although it was also hard not to notice how much her tight t-shirt emphasized her shapely breasts and wide hips enhanced by jeans and toned legs, she slowly swayed her tail from side to side.
But Alessio, although he took a quick look, always kept his gaze on her face
Alessio had met Spitfire at the grand galloping galà where he had met Soarin and had seen her a few days before the Hearth's Warming Eve to give the two Wonderbolts style gifts for his marefriends Rainbow Dash, unfortunately too much time had passed and he met occasionally Soarin so much, today was a nice surprise for him to see his dear friend and leader of the Wonderbolts.
"Hey Spitfire so good to see you again." Alessio said walking towards her and hugging her. The Wonderbolt captain returned the hug and they both held the hug for several seconds, then once the hug was broken, Alessio moved his gaze to look the second mare next to her.
The mare next to her is a beautiful bat pony with a ash-navy blue coat and short mane Magenta with cropped bangs covering the left eye and long tail. Her bat-like wings, the same color as her fur, were closed against her back.
She was wearing long dark trousers and a black leather jacket and combat boots, with a Tanto-type dagger against the background of the full amber moon imprinted on the right side of the jacket as if to indicate her own cutie mark. The aforementioned black leather jacket, although closed, highlighted the size of her rather shapely bust.
Alessio noticed her facial expression was focused on him, always keeping her sight and her jaw clenched. Alessio challenged her gaze, never averting it, he hinted at a semblance of a cordial smile, but he saw her purse her lips and her facial expression did not change, it became darker, she always had her eyes on him with a sudden icy flash.
Alessio immediately came to mind: that time when he went to Canterlot for a job at the Candies & Shiny Fun house. A quartet of bat pony mares had insulted him and how they stared at him. This bat mare in front of him had the same look.
The bat mare looked ready to spill some blood as her cat slit amber eyes focused on him, a piece of his right ear was torn off and he had a silver stud earring in his left ear.
Alessio found himself engaged in a duel of wills. The bat pony mare didn't bat an eye, it seemed to pass through him as if she had seen something she didn't like or was disgusted by: her eyes seemed to dare him to look at her in a way that she didn't like so that she would have a justification for picking a fight. The amber eyes fixed on the grey-green ones never wavered; "She's a mare used to getting the better of stallions, or she's a troublemaker, or she's just looking for an excuse to start a fight" Alessio reflected.
Then, very slowly, he began to cross his eyes, and that comical device broke the mare's concentration and caught her off guard. Lifting her chin in a haughty nod and making an equally contemptuous snort, the bat pony judged Alessio to be a buffoon and she was interested, but continued to look away and stare at him.
“Idiot of a stallion,” the bat pony mare whispered so low, but Alessio still managed to hear her, confirming one of the hypotheses he had made while looking at her. He turned his gaze towards his friendly Spitfire and asked her about her friend next to her.
Spitfire looked somewhat relieved, smiling as she introduced her. “Oh yes, I almost forgot. This is Amber Moon, a captain of the Lunar Guard and a dear friend of mine." He pats her best friend while she also giggles.
Alessio smiled at the bat pony mare and held out his hand in greeting. But Amber didn't extend her hand, continuing to stare at him without ever changing her cold expression.
Alessio withdrew his hand and put his hands in his pockets, looking at Amber, "Greetings." he said.
Amber didn't even say a word to him, continuing to stare at him.
Spitfire gulped as she stared at her friend, with obvious tension, although she tried to hide it, she stepped forward and gave her friend a friendly pat on the back between her closed wings, while she turned to Alessio and gave him a smile that seemed reassuring.
“I'm sorry for your attitude. We are going through some issues and, she needs to relax before Monday. So I thought a nice relaxing time at the spa would help her loosen up." she said.
“Spitfire, are really you sure this is a good idea?.” Amber asked as she looks at her questionably, without taking her gaze away from Alessio.
Alessio raised an eyebrow as he looked at Amber and Spitfire, more towards the batpony, "she seems like she would have preferred to be somewhere else" he mused.
Spitfire smiled. “Of course Amber, you need this more than any pony. Especially what’s happening Monday. And don’t worry, I’ll pay for the massage, you just go get dress in a robe.” She beckons her to go change.
Amber takes a few minutes to stare at her friend before walking to the change room.
Once the bat pony goes to the change room, Spitfire looks at Alessio and hugs him again. "She really needs to relax." she said breaking the hug.
“I really appreciate what you do for her.” Alessio said with his hands in his pockets.
"I promise I'll help her relax. Not to mind your friend but what's her problem?." Alessio asked casually, it hadn't escaped his notice that his friend Spitfire said that something would happen on Monday and, he wondered what, but he wouldn't have insisted if it had been personal and private.
Spitfire lost her smile and her expression became more worried than calm, she looked at her human friend and shook her head. “I'm sorry, but it's personal and I can't tell you, I can mention that right now; Amber is going through some emotional issues right now.” she sighed then, put her hand in her pocket. “Anyway. How much is the massage session?.” she asked.
Alessio raised a hand to stop her, continuing to look her in the eyes. "You don't have to pay anything. This massage is free for you. The reason and why; besides you are the last customer of the day because we would have closed early since it's a slow day, and my bosses and I, we wouldn't like to send people away customers who came from far away to have a session massage. It's her and a friend of yours. I'll explain the situation to Aloe and Lotus, who's i doing a favor for a good friend." he said with a smile.
Spitfire nodded and smiled, thanking him for everything, before deciding to go back and get ready.
At that moment Aloe and Lotus had arrived in the hall. After a quick explanation from Alessio that he was doing a favor for a dear friend of his and leader of the Wonderbolts. Aloe and Lotus nodded that there would be no problem, promising a discount or an extra exclusive treatment for Spitfire if she wanted to try the spa one day and the leader to the Wonderbolts she took a card advertising the spa, considering trying the treatments offered by her human friend's spa.
Alessio said he could handle everything from now on and, with a final hug to Spitfire, he headed to the spa to prepare everything for the last customer.
Then Spitfire leaves the spa and taking flight, heads towards her base in the sky, takes out the spa's advertising card and, a little worry spreads across her face as she prays to Celestia and Luna, about her friend, she won't kill him.
“Oh Celestia I hope she doesn't hurt him to bad.” she sighs in nervousness, begin felt a sharp sense guilty inside herself.
Meanwhile, once Alessio returned to the spa, he took some fresh towels from the dryer and placed them next to the massage table, he prepared the lotion basket.
He stood there staring without really staring at the floor, he was reminded of when he had met Gilda and given her a
massage and a fight had broken out between them, that time it had been self-defense since then, it had been the griffin who attacked him but after he had told her what she really was. Alessio had the feeling that Amber was just a troublemaker under the guise of captain of the lunar guard. And instinct told him to be alert.
"As with Gilda, I better not let my guard down for even a moment with this Amber." Alessio reflected frowning.
On the other hand, the bat mare was his client and he must do his job giving her fun and relaxation. Once the final preparations were finished to start the massage session, Alessio went to get his client.
He headed towards the changing room and saw his client had just left. Alessio looked at her briefly sideways;
Although she was wearing the white robe, her body looked like an athletic hourglass. Her thighs were thick and strong, fitting her wide hips and thin waist. The size of her ample breasts covered by the tight and tightly closed robe could have been a cup roughly an GG-cup size and wide and perfectly round.
“Hey!. Eyes up here! Asshole!. I swear if I catch you going any lower then my face I’ll show you what it’s like to be a nail against a hammer.” She said angrily, showing her teeth and long canines, almost hissing, keeping her ears folded against her head, she especially seemed ready to beat or kill him right now.
"Don't worry, I'm not looking." Alessio replied impassively.
All she did was shake her head and walk over to the massage table. Alessio walked behind her, staying far enough away from her that she had some space. He noticed that she was giving him quick glances as if to catch him in the act of staring at her, but Alessio's gaze was focused only on the nape of mare's neck.
Even before her bat pony client could say anything to him, Alessio turned with his back to her and holding his hands behind her back, waited for her to take off her robe, waited for further seconds for her to relax on the massage table.
Then once he got the green light, Alessio took the basket of lotion and held it out in front of his client's face.
“Um… Ms. Moon do you have a prefer lotion or would you pre-“ he were cut off as Amber smacks the basket away from her face.
"Do whatever you want! I don't care! Get me some lotion! As long as it doesn't smell like shit! Got it!" she shouted so annoyed and angry.
Alessio couldn't help but let out a small growl irritation at her rudeness. But he let it go because she is Spitfire's best friend. "Okay. As you want." he murmured serious as deciding to just randomly grab a bottle of lotion and begin the massage.
Alessio sprays himself a dosage from the randomly chosen bottle of the lotion and lathers them up, I spray another dosage on his hands, ready to start on her back.
“Remember, you bastard. Not my ass or anything." Amber turned her head at him and gave him an angry sneer, threatening him one last time before starting.
Alessio immediately understood her warning, but he wondered if she really thought that he would start with an excuse from elsewhere, so he immediately started from her shoulders and the base of her neck.
Amber lets out a small sigh, while Alessio performed circular movements on her tense muscles.
Alessio wasn't even a bit surprised by how tense she felt, given that many guards who came as clients felt tense after busy days and various tensions like today, and, being a captain, she must be really tense after a day of work to ordering and training new guard recruits, various paperwork and bureaucracies.
She thought that perhaps, as the next few minutes passed, she would be calmer and more relaxed.
It didn't even happen!
As Alessio worked behind her and on her back, what had been truly brief minutes of silence turned out to be the proverbial calm before the storm. And she had only the poisonous attitude, but also an equally poisonous tongue.
“I can't believe a stud like you can work in a spa.” she giggled as contemptuously as her mirthless smirk, looking at him out of the corner of her eye. “You should be like a drag queen because of your workplace.” she scoffed in a sarcastic tone with sick humor as Alessio noticed.
"It's clear that you only do this job to grope mares without problems, eh asshole." another equally poisonous comment.
"This one has a complete dislike of stallions, and is truly a troublemaker under the guise of a royal guard. She just wants to provoke me, and, she's almost succeeding." Alessio reflected, angry, as he lathered his hands with another dose of lotion. He would add that she was actually making him close to losing her temper with the way she was doing.
She was far worse than Gilda, Blueblood, or the quartet of batpony mares who had insulted him long ago. Alessio continued his work, trying to ignore her snide comments about his job at the spa.
"I'm surprised that a royal guard like you has such an antipodal way of thinking." he replied in a serious tone, secretly shooting her a cold glare.
Amber was silent for a few seconds, her jaw clenched in anger, and she glared back.
"If she continues to provoke me any longer, I will stop the massage and let Aloe and Lotus continue it, and if anything this arrogant bitch insults the two of them. I will send her out of the spa." Alessio thought as he was about to start massaging the base of her membranous wings, he took the bat mare's silence as a small victory.
However Amber had one final comment to say at the end.
“Well sometimes I wonder how the heck you are with an important mare like Princess Luna. Blackmail her with something so she can keep her mouth shut or something. So you can go down and fuck her whenever you feel like it. Huh, just like all those other slacker studs." She giggled a little. “She wouldn't stoop to be with a freak like You!. A bucken user.”
"Enough now!" Alessio think, his jaw clenched, his gray-green eyes shone cold as winter, the tinge of green that sometimes accompanied a smile or cheerfulness was gone, and only gray remained, dark and menacing like storm clouds of a storm looming. He was naturally incapable of raising his hands on a mare, or like Gilda long ago he had only done so in self-defense and only if attacked, but now hearing this bat pony insult his relationship with Luna made his hands itch and the idea of disappointing her deplorable behavior it was tempting. His reaction was simple and short: Don't step on my toes and woe betide anyone who does!.
"Who do you think you are to say such a thing?." he said with a menacing gleam in his eyes and in a tone that seemed to make those around him shiver, the icy coldness of his voice comparable to that of an arctic winter.
“I’m done giving you a massage!." He sais as he walked away from her. Amber was surprised at his tone but she grew angry as he left her without finishing the massage.
“What the buck are you going to?.” she shouted at him as he walked away.
Alessio turned his head and looked at her over his shoulder. "Simply. Away from you that's what!. You know nothing about me and who do you think you are to say shit like that and, I refuse to continue working with a vile mare like you." he said with clearly visible resentment. "My bosses will continue your massage, since you have a dislike towards studs." he added as he wiped his hands on the towel, folded it up and threw it in the laundry basket, then added in a colder tone and stared at her as if he wanted to pierce her; "I'm warning you, if you insult them too. I won't think twice about kicking you out of the spa! Is that clear?!"
Meanwhile Alessio was opening the door to leave and leave the vile client and go on to call Aloe and Lotus, briefly explain the situation to them and finally want to go and relax and calm down a bit, far away from his former client.
Speaking of the aforementioned, Amber didn't like the idea of him leaving without finishing the massage. Just as quickly as she stood up, she flew and stood in front of you, one arm pressed against her bare big breast and part of the towel covering her waist. “With the buck you think you're just going to leave away like this, without finishing your job!" She invaded his personal space, looking into his eyes. "So, you do your job and you take it like a stallion." she said, emphasizing every word, tapping hard on his chest with her middle finger.
Alessio aimed a cold look. He had already met in his life when he lived on Earth, some who thought that because of their popularity or merit, anyone who has a sore point against him must submit. But Alessio did not tolerate any form of oppression and did not let anyone push him around. “And you can just go fuck yourself, 'Captain'.” he retorted, mentioning her rank royal guard as if she didn't deserve an arrogant asshole, even if she were a mare.
Then, he pushed her aside with enough force to push her aside but without causing her to lose her balance and walked past her. “Both princesses would be really disappointed in a Royal Guard, a Captain who acts like a pathetic arrogant asshole.” he said as looked at her one last time with contempt. "And it's different from the bullshit you say about me, without knowing anything about me."
As Alessio was about to open the door, he would soon realize that that was a mistake.
Amber growled in anger and quickly hooked him around the waist, no stud deserves to go against her and get away with bragging rights. “Bastard, I will show you that no one should ever go against me!” she yelled as she quickly picked him up to suplex him.
But the bat mare realized she hadn't lifted him all the way to do theprojection; she felt her leg locked by his leg a hook, she realized she was losing her grip when she felt his hands push hers down his pelvis to push forward is to unbalance her. She was thus driven more by anger and knowing that if she had used her wings she risked coming at her more unbalanced, she decided to put him on the ground and try again immediately after having made her grip firmer.
Alessio had great experience in self-defense and had reacted quickly realizing what she wanted to do; blocking her leg with his as she lifted him, pushing his hands down, blocking with his arm her elbow and throwing her off balance and now his feet were on the floor. He flipped forward, dragging her with him.
Amber found herself crushed under his weight and she had to loosen her grip, as soon as she felt that she was turning, she tried to hit him with a knee, which he blocked with his hand and forearm and quickly got up and put himself at a safe distance.
Amber stared at him dismayed but surprised. Although she enjoys showing the studs who's boss, she didn't expect such a quick reaction from him.
“Don't even bother attacking me if you don't want to get hurt.” Alessio warned him in a serious and cold tone, in a defensive position, while he was near the hydromassage tub.
Amber growled in anger, quickly stood up, dusted herself before going to get her robe from the floor, she seemed to have changed her mind about attacking him. But then after having fastened the robe belt tightly, she quickly threw herself at Alessio and threw a punch.
Alessio quickly ducked and felt the fist pass over the top of his head, he pushed her with his shoulder, making her step back and Amber threw another punch, which he intercepted and blocked her arm, he rotated his torso and gave her a judo throw and he threw her into the nearby hot tub, sending her for an unscheduled bath.
“Have a nice bath, bitch.” Alessio said with a pleased look.
Amber resurfaced, waving her arms and coughing up water as she leaned on the edge and wiped her eyes with the wet sleeve of her robe, she aimed a dagger-like glare at Alessio. She looks at him as if it's the first time she's let her guard down for an attack like this. She gritted her teeth as she exited the hot tub and got into a fighting stance.
Alessio slowly moved to the side, maintaining the defensive position typical of Krav Maga which he knew and practiced as a civil self-defense position, while he seemed more relaxed and held his hands at face level. The raise an eyebrow and smile scornfully when she saw his posture.
Waiting for the first blow, while Alessio wanted to reach the door, unlike the fight against Gilda, where there was nothing left for him to do but face her, this time, he had the chance to leave and not care about this annoying customer.
Amber lunged forward ready to shed blood, Alessio deflected his blows with his hands and kept his distance from potential kicks, before responding with punches which Amber managed to dodge and counterattacked, he managed to dodge her attack.
“Good, you little bastard. Shall we dance about her?.” She giggled as she launched a jab, Alessio deflected it and hit her with a quick jab to the nose, making her eyes water and she quickly step back.
Alessio didn't reply, he remained silent, concentrated and ready to fight, exactly as he did during the fights, the human's silence made Amber more irritated, the aforementioned dried herself by removing the blood from her nose. She decided to show him how strong she was and to see how much he would be able to tolerate the pain and resist?.
They exchanged blows as they studied each other's weaknesses, although Amber boasted excellent training in the royal guards. Alessio would have been an interesting sparring partner, although perhaps a worthy adversary for her. She wondered how good he was at defending and attacking.
Then Alessio hit her with a lunge, immediately followed by a side punch that caught her by surprise and rang in her ears. But it wasn't enough to knock her down. Amber responded with a spinning kick that hit her opponent in the back.
Alessio staggered, but quickly recovered. They began punching each other again, to which Amber occasionally kicked. she had to enjoy and, at the same time, be surprised by the human stallion's ability to take blow after blow.
* Twenty minutes later *
Alessio wouldn't have held out for much longer, but he didn't want to give his opponent the satisfaction of seeing him falter. But he realized that even Amber, although he tried not to show it, wouldn't hold out for long either.
Unlike the fight against Gilda, Chrysalis and Queen Umbra, Alessio suffered some bruises and lacerations on his shoulders, chest, arms and face.
While Amber was no different from him. Her dressing gown was wrinkled but intact, covered in bloodstains, unlike Alessio's, whose t-shirt he was still wearing had a few tears after the many times she grabbed it and it was of no use in blocking the her blows against him.
Panting with tiredness, Alessio and Amber stopped for a moment. Amber rubbed her belly where it had been hit by Alessio's spinning kick, in response to an attempt to hit him with a punch, using her wings to propel herself forward.
Alessio, keeping an eye on her, retrieved his eyeglasses still intact from the floor and put them on, his ribs hurt as he bent over but he was sure he didn't have broken or cracked ribs, he wondered if the bat pony still wanted to fight or if she had finally had enough after all the beatings they had both endured.
Amber admitted that she was really impressed, as the last pony stallion she had brawled with a while back, didn't get up in the final hour after a suplex.
Amber grinned. she showing her blood-red teeth, spitting some blood from her mouth, she used her tongue to feel if she had a tooth in order. “Damn stud, you're not that bad at fighting after all. You are a difficult opponent. Why didn't you join the Royal Guards?." She said impressed for a second.
“Because I don't have to deal with asshole superiors like you. bitches or not.” he replied she.
That last comment kind of hit her sweet spot. With a loud scream of rage she charges at him. Alessio seemed to be about to charge in turn, in reality, he was about to react at the right moment.
Amber swung her wings, ready to headbutt him. But Alessio like a bullfighter, dodged the attack by moving to the side of her and hit her in the belly with a shoulder and the bat pony mare fell to the ground, breathless on the floor.
Amber reacted, hitting Alessio in the cheek with the back of her hand, the blow was strong enough to knock him down.
Alessio reacted in turn, when she stood up and then threw a punch at him. He hit her jaw with the back of his fisted hand, her blow equally strong enough to knock her down. Both were sitting on the floor panting and, they sat there for several minutes, as if they had both had enough.
Alessio and Amber stare at each other for a few seconds before a miracle happens. She smiled, perhaps for the first time since she had entered the spa.
“Damned stud I guess I was wrong about you. You aren't like those prissy royal’s.” she chuckled
"It took you a long time to understand. I'm not at all and even if I were, I would still be who I am." He said extremely seriously, he pointed a cold gaze at her. “Why did you think I was?.” he asked.
He wondered what her problem was. All day since Spitfire left, she's done nothing but tease him even though both just met. Maybe Spitfire had told her about him, she might have left something out about him. Because it ended like this. Or Amber didn't believe it and didn't give the benefit of the doubt to her friend's words. Of one thing she was certain; she had a dislike of stallions.
Amber wiped blood from her mouth from a small cut on her lip before starting. “Reason is because I've been working for royals ever since I was a cadet in the guards and each…. Was like the same;. They bend the rules to what sees fit. Stallions are the worst though. They do whatever they want whenever they want. They don’t care about other ponies, but only themselves.” She said with barely contained contempt.
She sighed as all her years in the royal guards, she saw many ponies lose their homes, property destroyed for new buildings and many friends all died to save their sorry butts. All of was too much as she even remembered one of her best friends almost became paralyze after they supposed to protect that asshole BlueBlood butt when he was visiting Las Pegasus and a group of raiders attack them. She didn't even get a thank from the pompous bastard.
Alessio stood up as she continued her story of her time in the Royal Guards.
The words made Alessio think about how Canterlot ponies are, he feel disgusted by the fact that Canterlot ponies were so careless when a guard was there with them to try to protect them and only the guards were hurt or worse.
Another reason he refused to live in Canterlot, the atmosphere of social divisions and the behavior of the Canterlot nobles was irritating. -Except as he knew there were good Canterlot nobles, like Fancy Pants to name one-, and Ironically, even during a conversation with Fancy Pants and his wife Fluer, the couple in question, had said similar things about the bitter behavior of other Canterlot nobles.
But Alessio he feared that Amber has made all the fuss one-size-fits-all. Although he would have liked to tell her the example of Fancypants, he wisely preferred not to do so, perhaps another time.
However this, although Amber only explained why she hated rich people, she still didn't say why she hated studs. Alessio he know the fact that not all stallions are like the ones she described and an explanation would be nice.
Amber straightened her robe while hugging her legs to her chest and crossing her arms on her knees, she saw Alessio motioning for her to wait a minute and saw him go to get something from a cabinet, a green bottle and a couple of towels, she went back and after pouring a few drops into the water, he waited until the green-tinged water became clear and dipped the towel halfway into it and handed it to her.
"Hold it to your face and dab it, the healing potion will still work like this, maybe slower, but it still works." he told her.
Amber looked at him with a slight distrust, then she sighed and a little hesitantly did as he advised her, she hissed a little from the burning but little by little she felt the pain in her face ease. Meanwhile Alessio sat close to her, but far enough away to give her personal space.
"But I have met some rich people who you would be surprised at how much they are not like you say," said Alessio, he raised a hand to silence her. "Let's avoid misunderstandings, okay. I'm not excusing everyone, I know there are I don't know how many rich ponies who don't all have a broom up their asses. I don't like visiting Canterlot either, except for very few things." he said.
Amber looked at him surprised by his statement and, she didn't help but giggle, though she hissed in pain from the unhealed cut on her lip, "Thought I knew which ones you're referring to, they're actually different from other rich assholes." she said, pressing the wet towel against the right side of her face.
Alessio gave her a good-natured smile for the first time. "Well. We agree on this."
Amber nodded. Then, she sighs. "Well, since you beat me, I guess I should tell you why I hate stallions. You see…. When I was not yet born, my father used my mother so he could have a foal. He bribed her with nice things before taking her to bed. Many months later he left her... he didn't want a filly." She sighed dejectedly.
Alessio listened to her carefully, while he in turn pressed the towel on his forearms, knowing that the water contained in the towel with Zecora's healing potion would cure his wounds and bruises. To say that thinking that Amber's father had been a total asshole would be an understatement from that contemptuous attitude.
“Then. Growing up we stayed in Canterlot but it wasn't too good. Every day I was bullied by colts because they always thought mares were weak. This it kept going on till I finally snapped in middle school when one day, I got into a fight with a little bastard who always pulled my mane or my tail. After that fight, his daddy tried to sue my mom because he hurt his precious colt. I don’t know how but my mom managed to win that fight but we were discriminated every day after that. So, my mom and I ended up moving away and I spent my high school years in Trottingham.” She squeezed her fist several times as she continued a talking.
Alessio frowned as he began to understand, already from childhood, having prejudices of the kind of sexual discrimination, due to such a stupid and narrow mentality chauvinist, could influence getting to know stallions in the future, having a deep distrust and antipathy, as in case of her.
"After high school, I joined the Royal Night's Guard because I wanted to stay strong. Even though I spent years working as a guard, until I reached the rank of Captain. That's when things went to hell for me." Amber explained with her ears flat against her head.
Alessio looked at her, interrupting his thoughts on the difficult life that the bat pony next to him has had. He raised a hand and stretched it towards her back and although with a brief hesitation, he massaged her back to comfort her. Amber gave him a look and immediately Alessio moved his hand away, she gave him a small, short-lived smile and, after a few seconds of silence to grip herself. She continue to talking.
“I had recently found information about my…. Father… but, our first meeting didn't end so well."
The change in tone in Amber's voice made Alessio frown.
“What happen?.” he asked.
“He… tried to sleep with me… I refused… so … I punched him.” Amber sighed, her tone hardened with anger as she remembered that day.
As she said told him, while she remembering that day; After asking for a few favors, she was finally able to meet him on a pony. The day seemed beautiful as they talked before night fell and then things turned sour. Her biological father didn't know or care that she was his daughter. All he cares about is getting into her mare nature. He tried to convince her with alcohol which she saw was mixed with something about her and tried to use his strength against her. But after years of being on her guard she rejected him and punched him hard in the face. She escaped that night, but not before the bastard actually sent a letter to the guards in which he claimed she had attacked him in cold blood.
"I should have listened to my mother... and not looked for that asshole who abandoned her." she said as She closed her eyes as a lone tear fell down her face. Her hopes and dreams, her life is ruined because of him. And suddely she punched the hard marble step in frustration, waved her sore hand.
Alessio was speechless after what he just heard Amber say. Her father ... he tried to have sex with her and now he is trying to get her kicked out by the Royal Guards to get revenge on her.
The very idea disgusted him and he could not leave unpunished a miscarriage of justice for false accusation by the person responsible, who was the real culprit who was seen as a victim, while the real victim, she would have lost her career.
Sitting there next to Amber, with his hands clenched into fists until his knuckles were white, Alessio allowed himself the last moments of uncontrolled emotion.
He would control the feelings, he would use them to move forward, but for now he let them boil in his head: the violent anger at the actions of that bastard.
The injustice of what had happened was like a disease that tormented his insides and his only cure was to bring the real culprit to justice. He had no idea who Amber's father was, his image of him was lost in the flames of his anger, which would only be extinguished when he sent him to the place where he deserved whatever it was.
Alessio loosened his grip on his fists, his nails had left marks on his palms. He shook his hands to get the circulation going and took a deep breath. “Understood,” he said.
Lowering her head she wipes the tears from her face with her forearm. “Now you see why I hate rich stallions. They come from famous ponies back in their day and they think they can get whatever they want no matter what happens to others. It disgusts me because there are those like me who put so much effort into it." she said.
“Yes. I know that feeling.” Alessio he said, resting his elbows on his knees.
Amber pricked up her ears and looked at him. She was confused as how he would know.
"It will surprise you to know that I was from a wealthy family before coming here to Equestria. But wealth never went to my head, nor did my family. I worked many jobs and I was proud to have done them and to have had experience working, I am there are few jobs that I haven't done yet, however I have had ups and downs and, I rolled up my sleeves, without inconveniencing my family, who were still very proud of me and wanted to help me, I followed the values that they taught me and that are the best qualities. I have met people who think like you, who give their all in what they do, but I have also met people who believe in hard work but in the end they ruined themselves with their own hands. I have met people who they work double jobs to support themselves but also live their life. When I came to Equestria, I chose to work, also accepting the job offer to work, I looked for how other work here, when they saw that I was ready to learn and why someone let it slip that I was good at massages, oh well details. Even though I won't be able to leave and return to Earth, my native land. I have found a new life in Equestria."
Amber Moon listens attentively as the stallion who is also Her Majesty's lover and the father of her foal, experiences the hardships of the workers and learns about the difficulties of the aforementioned in carrying out their jobs. She felt grown a sense of respect for him and also a pang of guilt for everything she had just said before and during the massage.
"Luna and I live together because we met and over time we loved each other, the same goes for all the mares I'm with. I love them with all my heart." Alessio said, before turning to look at Amber and his gaze hardened. "The Titles or social status have nothing to do with it." he said, then his lips parted in a good-natured smile.
"I have good friends, to whom I am ready to lend a hand if they need it, at any cost." he said, marking seriously the last words.
Amber Moon hesitated to look at him, before holding her head down in shame, she remembered how her best friend Spitfire told her that the human Alessio was a good friend, but she never wanted to believe or give the benefit of the doubt, only thinking that he was yet another hypocritical stallion like they all are. And her anger at what had happened today got the better of her, just like it always did.
"I'm…. I'm so sorry. for all those horrible things I said to you." She said with her ears lowered against her head, not looking at his face in shame.
Alessio gave her a less hesitant pat on the shoulder, drawing her attention and raising her ears a little.
“Hey, everything's fine, okay, I understand what you're going through. Everything that happened has put you to the test. Spitfire was right to want you to come to the spa to relax, you have a good friend who cares about you." Alessio smiled affably, showing her that he was no longer angry with her, not as much as before, however he was still upset after trying to think that she knew him.
“I simply… I can not believe... a royal like you... May he have done menial jobs, no other royal would even think of doing it. It's strange to say." Amber said still confused by everything she had just heard.
Alessio rolled his eyes. "Well. Technically speaking. Yes, I am considered royal since I live with princess Luna. But you should know that I refuse the crown. To be precise I refuse the crown it 16 times."
By now Amber was more shock. The chance to become a prince no actually a King because the princess gave birth an heir to the throne and is considered a queen was turned down 16 times. A moment "No." stallion will ever turn down and yet him of all ponies turned it down so easily.
“But why? ... I mean; You could have everything. Exotic food. The best designer clothing. Trips to private Tropical Island or even any mare you wish for." she say again confused to him. "What made you turn it down 16 times?." she asked add.
Alessio looked at her seriously as it's not the first time somepony asked him that question, mostly he ignored them, but how he he told Luna the real reason, he thinks it's better to tell her. "I admitted. I'm not ready to make an important decision lightly yet, for now i mean. One day. When I'm ready, only so, then I'll be able to tell yes at Luna." he said.
Seeing Amber staring at him even more confused than before, so Alessio gave her a sincere answer, "And one last thing. Although it's important; Money is still money. Now the most important thing I have is a family." he said with a warm smile.
Amber stares at him with amazement in her eyes to his words.
Alessio slowly stood up and turned to Amber, "The healing herbal potion I added to the hot tub water will still have an effect. If you want to soak and relax, you can relax a little and at the same time, heal your wounds." he told her and, he added with both hands raised in surrender. "Don't worry. I'll give you privacy and go somewhere else to shower and heal my wounds from our fight."
Amber looked at him, while Alessio's words sank into her, she remained silent and simply nodded, she saw him walk away and she decided to break the silence.
"Wait," she called to him, catching his attention as well, when Alessio turned to look at her. "Thank you… for forgiving me.” she said almost in a hush tone.
Alessio looked at her, then simply nodded. "If you need anything else, I'll be there. He'll leave her to her relaxing bath now." he said in a professional tone that surprised Amber, who saw him walk away and head towards the showers.
Amber turned towards the hot tub, took off her robe and proceeded to the hot tub and slowly immersed herself, holding back a groan from the multiple pains she felt from her body, about the fight against the human, then she relaxed while as she had said the human, the healing herb powder potion in the water, it magically healed all your wounds without leaving a scars in the end.
* Several minutes later *
After taking a shower, adding Zecora's healing powder to the sponge to heal his wounds, Alessio dressed himself in his own clothes, he would have taken a spare t-shirt from his locker which he kept as a change of clothes when he needed it, an old habit that he had since he worked on Earth.
Then, he grabbed a new, spare robe for Amber and returned to her, called her attention and left her robe on the edge, looked away as she picked up the robe and slowly stepped out of the hot tub.
Speaking of Amber, she felt more than happy after today. She felt refreshed. As if she had broken through her shell of hatred and despair and emerged a new mare. She emit a sigh in relief. As a feeling she had never felt in her life.
Alessio looked at her, he was happy to have helped relieve her of her stress which, instead of a long day, in her case was actually a long life of stress and repressed frustration. Usually seeing each of his clients smile and hearing them sigh with relief from her treatment made him satisfied but, not this time.
He guided her to the change room. And as she changes back into her regular clothes, Alessio go quickly change his shirt with a spare t-shirt and and returned back.
He arrived at the same time as his client leaves wearing her normal clothes. Alessio smiled and Amber smiles back as she slowly approaches him and she wrapped her arms around him and hugs him tight, surprised him.
“Thanks again…. for everything. I really needed that.” she said in a low, calm voice, looking up to look him in the eyes and leaves the hug. "You are certainly one of the very few royals I know, who I would give sincere respect to, besides princesses." she add.
Alessio smiled, “You’re always welcome here anytime you like,” he said as bow in respect gaining a small chuckle from the bat captain.
Amber Moon lets out a sigh. "Yes... After Monday I might come back. I just hope things will be better by then." she frowns remembering that she had to be at Canterlot court in the morning on Monday. She didn't know how long that thought would last but she knew that her mother and all her friends in the guards would be there along with Spitfire and her team. She can only pray that her bastard 'father' didn't have paid the judge and jury to get her kick off though.
“Don’t worry so much. I know you will win.” Alessio said as gave a reassuring smile for her trial to Monday.
Amber smiles back but only for a second. She is glad she has another friend who is there to support her but think it will it be enough.
He gave a bitter laugh. "Yes and so. As long as that bastard of a 'father' of mine hasn't paid the jury and the judge, between my trial against him and the testimonies in his favor because I raised my hands against a couple of stallions who there were some of my colleagues who made chauvinist comments, I have little chance of winning the trial." he said in a low voice and his ears low against his head.
Alessio stared at her, the sadness on his face couldn't help but fear the worst too. The stallion she told him, were a high royal so that means he has connections that he can get in touch which. And this new information that Amber said, it must be assumed that that stallion looked for any other useful clue to have an easy victory, besides pretending to be a victim.
Alessio felt anger begin to inflame his chest. Just the thought of Amber losing her job to that bastard stud disgusted him as much as letting that bastard walk free for his crimes.
Right now Amber needed all the help she can get for Monday.
Approaching her, Alessio puts his arms around her and hugs her tightly, surprising her. Amber was definitely surprised by the sudden hug. "A small chance of winning, can always mean something." he said reassuringly.
Amber stared at him for a few moments, she couldn't help but smile, albeit briefly when Alessio realized he had hugged her and apologized. She told him it didn't matter but she felt more reassured now.
Alessio nodded and only then saw a note on the reception floor from his bosses, on the note was written with the keys to the spa next to it; 'We have closed the spa to let you look after the last client of the day in peace. we went to Canterlot to visit our sister Vera Aloe, we will send her your regards. don't worry we have a copy of the keys. See you on Monday. Kisses Aloe and Lotus'.
That's why they didn't come to check, when Amber and I started fighting." Alessio thought bitterly, before sighing, he looked at Amber. "And now we both go home and rest." he said she took the keys and clicked the lock, opened the door and let her out.
Amber bids him farewell as she takes flight back home.
As she flew away, Alessio closed the door and in the meantime returned to the massage area to clean. Although he would have liked to have had some time to think about the decision to help Amber Moon in some way, he trusted his instincts. There was no denying that an injustice like this should not be allowed to go by and the idea of leaving Amber while she fights for her career and he sat there in court supporting her and couldn't do anything, he would never forgive himself and he wasn't one that he would do such a thing. It had always been easy for him to make decisions, and this one was no different from the others. Even without instinct telling him to help her, he had already made the decision to do so and help her win the trial.
After finishing cleaning and placing the broom and brush aside, Alessio reflected on what he had told her before, about why he had rejected the crown so many times, that he didn't feel ready, and now. To save her friend and captain of the lunar guards, it was a possibility, even a small way to help her. Now that day had come and he was ready and would feel no remorse.
As he walked down the corridor he had a stiff gait, his broad shoulders hunched and his head down, thinking carefully about what to do in points. He reached the entrance to the spa.
He looked at himself in the reflection in the glass of a painting hanging on the wall. Her jaw was clenched and behind her eyes he could almost see the embers of anger catching fire. She owed Amber Moon nothing, but she would not abandon her to her fate, just as she would help an injured or abandoned animal or help an old lady cross a busy intersection.
Alessio came out of the bathroom, picked up and put on his jacket and headed towards the entrance, while the adrenaline was starting to kick in.
"I have to see Luna" he said with a deadly serious voice and face, closed the shop and went straight home.
To be continued.
