Chapter 36: Part 35: Waxing Moon

Manehatten: Tenpony Tower

It went as an unstated agreement amongst the group that nobody would out Nimbus as the one who caused such a massacre amongst the Enclave/Society forces. He had enough on his plate already, dealing with such a thing without the inhabitants of the Wasteland throwing shit on him for such an action. Yes, there was a very distinctive difference between dealing with an unknown menace such as the cannibals of Arbu and known monsters like the forces of Stormy Skies. But the last thing Nimbus needed right now was everyone hailing him as some sort of violent pegasus who would clean up the wastes by paying evil unto evil.

“You going to be alright?” Riptalon asked, all prior hostilities towards him forgotten for the moment. Right now his friend… no, his mate needed him. Yes, he knew it was a stupid question but it beared asking.

“Honestly… I don’t know. I should be saying yes, I’m going to be fine,” Nimbus answered his voice barely higher than a whisper. “I mean, I have my brother back so all should be fine and dandy but…”

“You’re worried, aren’t you?” Riptalon answered giving his mate a brief nuzzle. In the back of the room sat Clear Skies watching anxiously. Part of him wanted to talk to his brother, but the other part knew that this was a private moment. “Worried about becoming exactly like Stormy Skies?”

“How did you…?” Nimbus whispered.

“It doesn’t take a genius to figure it out really,” Riptalon muttered. “Plus, I know you too well. You’re worried you’re cut from the same cloth as he is aren’t you?”

“...More than I’d care to admit really. We both grew up in the same city together, we both fought the same war together. I… I carried out deeds for Stormy, and sometimes I wonder… did I relish them?” Nimbus whispered and finally Clear Skies could hold his silence no longer as his glass of water shattered in his hoof. His brother needed him. His brother needed him. For too long, Nimbus had been forced to fight his way through the Wastelands alone and deal with the effect it had on his psyche. No longer Clear said to himself. No longer.

“That’s BULLSHIT!” Clear Skies barked -making Riptalon nearly jump out of his seat from the volume of the shout- as he walked over to his brother and wrapped a wing around him. “The only reason Stormy got you under his wing was that you wanted to protect me. That’s the same reason you went ballistic back at that station right? You thought a friend of yours had been killed hmm?”

“Y-Yeah…” Nimbus whispered. “No, not just a friend. Henri… she’s become like the sister I never wanted. All of her group, they’re like family to me. Henri’s the sister. Regina’s the mother. Target, the other sister. Jabari and Gabby, the annoying little siblings. Starglow… the daughter. Twilight’s another older sister. And Riptalon… Well, I think you know by now where me and Riptalon stand really…”

“Yeah, I do. It’s sorta obvious really…” Clear Skies shrugged. “Seen the way you two interact and look at each other. I’m not going to judge. Celestia knows you need someone to make you happy…”

“Honestly?” Nimbus admitted. “If Riptalon hadn’t come along, I don’t exactly know where I’d be right now. Dead maybe… Or maybe insane. Without… without him…” Nimbus continued taking a deep shuddering breath. “I don’t know if I’d have even made it this far. I… I…”

“You don’t even need to say it Nimbus,” Riptalon stated. “You don’t even. I already know. And I already know who your source was for finding your brother. Winter right?”

When Nimbus stared at him Riptalon rolled his eyes. “Oh, don’t look so surprised. I may be many things, but don’t take me for a fool love. It hardly takes a genius to figure out Winter was your source. That mare knows so many things, it’s scary really…”

“Still amazed she got this far, and now she’s heading up Stormy Skies worst nightmare. Aside from brother dear of course,” Clear remarked ordering another drink. This time it was something stronger. “She always was ambitious, to say the least!”

“So… you’re not mad I…” Nimbus trailed off.

“Oh, I’m mad. Pissed even. But I understand how things went down the way they did. Winter’s nothing if but a charismatic mare. And if you two really were friends back above the clouds then… Well, I suppose I can’t entirely blame you for taking a temporary switch of allegiance. No, I’m just pissed you didn’t trust me enough to tell me about this possibility till it actually happened!”

“I… I see,” Nimbus whispered hanging his head in shame. “In the future, no more secrets. No more okay?”

“Agreed. No more secrets. For example, did you know I have a fetish for urin-”

“Ooooookkkaaaayyyy love, I really do not need to know anything like that thanks!” Nimbus squeaked out before Riptalon burst out laughing and although he didn’t quite know why Nimbus did soon after as well.

“...I really wouldn’t want to be inside your mate’s head at times, you know that right?” Clear Skies whispered to his brother.

“Hey, at least I got him laughing again right?” Riptalon piped in. “So that’s something right?”

“For however long…” Clear thought to himself. He honestly didn’t know how his brother would go from here. He saw, at least some of it anyways. He saw his brother driven into a violent rage he didn’t even know Nimbus even possessed. He knew his brother should never have to feel such a pain ever again. No, he had to do something about this. But the obvious question was what?

“Nimbus should never have been the one fighting my war…” Clear thought to himself. “He never should have been. And it’s my duty as a brother to protect him. I swear Stormy…” he continued to think as he looked upon his broken brother. “You will burn for this. I’ll make sure of it.”

Still, Clear had so many questions. For one, how had that Alicorn even appeared on the battlefield to help Nimbus and get that griffon -Harriet he thought her name was?- to safety? How exactly did that happen? It was like she appeared out of nowhere, and from what he had been hearing she had been deliberately left out of the mission on purpose just so she could rest up.

Walking from the bar, Clear strode down to the medical wing where he saw Twilight resting up in bed alongside the griffon she’d save. Clear had to suppress a wince when he saw their new cybernetic fittings. Twilight turned her head when she saw the pegasus step inside the medical wing.

“You… so you’re Nimbus’ brother huh?” the alicorn smiled. “Such a pleasure to finally meet you…”

“Wish I could say the same for the former Princess of Friendship and head of the Ministry of-” Clear started before Henri shot him a nasty glare.

“No, it’s fine. I deserve any scorn thrown my way,” Twilight whispered sadly her head drooping slightly. “Anyways, I assume you didn’t just come in here to say hello. You’ve got questions am I right?”

“Yeah, I do,” Clear nodded. “Like for one, how did you show up when you did…?”

And so Twilight explained…

24 Hours Ago:

Twilight had finally been admitted to the clinic set up in Tenpony Tower. It wasn’t because of who exactly she was that it took so long, it was simply because Manehatten was awash with ponies in need of medical care. Field hospitals had been set up all over, but there simply were not enough medics to go around even with the Typhon and Nomad City sparing who they could. Severe cases went first, such as those who needed immediate assistance. As badly crushed as Twilight’s leg was -having part of a building fall on top of you tended to do that- she could still fly and was considered a lower priority. Life Bloom giving her the A-Okay for the time being probably pushed her down the list as well.

“Where’s Henri and the rest?” Twilight had to ask as she slowly flapped into the treatment room, with Life Bloom and Focus waiting on her. Gabby shrugged.

“Beats me, last I heard they went out into the Wastes. Tracking down some sort of lead or doing pest control as Riptalon put it. I decided against going with them, wanted to see if there was anything I could do here. Sadly, and perhaps needless to say ponies aren’t exactly comfortable with a ghoul around them.” the former CMC member stated with a hint of bitterness.

Twilight sighed. As creepy as ghouls were, they were living thinking beings as well and deserved to be treated as such. Ditzy Doo and Gabby were proof of this for Celestia’s sake!

Still, Twilight had long since learned ponies were always afraid of anything that was remotely different from them. Even she fell under this banner, as disgusted as she was to admit it. She’d been terrified of the zebras, and more than a few times she’d given Gabby a wide berth.

“Okay, we’re going to put you under. Going to solder off that limb of yours,” Focus stated holding up an anesthetic. “Strong stuff, so you should be out for a while. Hopefully, if all goes well then we should have this done by the end of today.” he continued gesturing to a cybernetic limb, stark white. Twilight noted to get it painted in a lavender shade after all this was over with.

“I… I understand,” Twilight said as Life Bloom’s horn glowed with light.

“Relax, just relax…” Life Bloom said as he moved a mechanical arm over to her. “You won’t even feel a thing. This will actually be a very long well-deserved nap for you, I think…”

“Trust me,” Twilight yawned. “I could use such a thing. Been running on mostly adrenaline for the past few days. This…” she trailed off before she felt a little prick and then fell under.

Twilight found herself walking in a bare plain before features slowly came into focus. Canterlot Castle, in all it’s glory and splendor.

But Twilight knew something was off the moment she stepped into the library she had once so often frequented. The books were blank. She knew she was dreaming. The thing about the brain, it was a funny thing. The right side of the brain, which retained things like reading was always inactive when one was fast asleep.

“Hello, Twilight,” a familiar voice said, one that she hadn’t expected to hear again. She turned to see the tall unmistakeable form of Princess Luna without her royal finery standing there. “It has been a long time.”

“Luna… How are you…” Twilight whispered fighting back tears. “But you’re supposed to be…”

“Dead? I am,” Luna replied with a soft sigh. “When I died my personality and power fragmented itself across Equestria. I am a piece that was placed into the subconscious of a filly named Star Heart. Her descendant is currently projecting the fragment into your dreams.”

“...Great, so I’m just crazy then. That’s such a comforting thought really,” Twilight deadpanned. “Yeah, real comforting. Explains so much!”

“Twilight, I am real in a manner of speaking,” Luna sighed. “I know this sounds kind of crazy, but I’m here because the mare holding me received a message. She’s a doctor that works with the Alliance.”

“...More than kind of crazy, but fine…” Twilight muttered rubbing her temples with a hoof. “I’ve seen more than enough weird by now to accept this as possible fact. So… I’ll hear you out.”

“I am going to need to use both yourself and Ruby as a way to expand my influence over the dreamscape,” Luna said. “I don’t have a lot of control over it as it stands. But with your powers combined, I can connect to another dream for a short time. That dreamer is the one who needs to give you the message.”

“And this is in no way related to building yourself up back to your full strength right?” Twilight asked skeptically. “No offense, but I’m not sure our kind are needed anymore. If you really are Luna, then you know our… mistakes led to the destruction of Equestria. I think it best we let the ponies figure out these things for themselves, without the interference of Gods. This world was never ours to keep in the long run anyways…”

“Twilight, I am very limited in this form and it will only hold for so long,” Luna sighed. “There are ponies who have tried to increase the power of fragments. Me, I’m just here to try and help ponies with their dreams. Some are easier than others. Ruby was approached because I’m the best way to get the message to you without arousing suspicion.”

“Okay… In that case…” Twilight decided. “Shall we?”

“Of course, just remember I can only hold this together for so long,” Luna said as she gathered magic in her horn and formed a portal in front of them and walked towards it. Twilight followed after Luna and found herself in a kitchen of sorts.

“Here’s breakfast for my two girls,” a white-coated stallion with a short rainbow mane said as he sat two plates down in front of two ponies seated at the table. Twilight blinked a little as she recognized Winter Breeze as one of them, her usual suit replaced with a bathrobe as she was accompanied by a Pegasus filly with a light blue coat and a spiked white mane.

“Thank you, dear,” Winter said as she leaned up and kissed the stallion lightly on the cheek. It was such an ordinary scene, it felt more like breakfast at some pre-war family’s house than watching the President of the Enclave.

“This is so surreal…” Twilight muttered as she saw Winter Breeze of all ponies enjoying a nice wholesome family breakfast like anyone else. She wouldn’t entirely be surprised if the family itself was a product of the dream.

“...Well, it is a dream after all…” Luna murmured. “Could be worse, could have walked in on a-”

“Yeeeeeeeaaahhh, didn’t need to have that image in my head thank you very much,” Twilight muttered. “I have enough mental scars to last a lifetime without learning about someone else’s wet dream…”

“Yes, I remember once I stumbled upon a dream of you and Tempest…” Luna started to say before Twilight cut her off.

“Don’t… Just don’t even go there,” Twilight stated her cheeks blushing fiercely. “How come she hasn’t…?” Twilight trailed off noticing Winter or her family didn’t seem to recognize two very famous -or infamous alicorns depending on your perspective- standing in their kitchen. “I mean, you’d think she’d…”

“They can’t see us yet, I was surprised by the scene is all,” Luna said with a nod as her horn glowed again. The scene around them froze except for Winter who lowered her fork and looked up at them. “President Breeze.”

“Luna, Twilight,” Winter said as she pushed her chair back and got up and walked over to the two Alicorns. “I know this must be a surprise for you, Twilight. However, you were the easiest pony to get a message to given Dr. Starlight’s status in the Alliance.”

“...This is just getting weirder and weirder by the moment…” Twilight muttered. “...Getting contacted out of the blue by Winter Breeze…”

“You’re missing a leg,” Winter observed.

“And so I am. Blame your friend Tornado, she dropped a building on me. Had to get an amputation.” Twilight stated cooly.

“I cannot comment on this as I’m not completely familiar with what happened, but I will speak to her about it,” Winter said. “But that’s not why I’m here. One of your friends is in a bad situation and needs help.”

“Forgive me if I don’t take you at your word,” Twilight said cooly. “You’ve been trying to get at the NCR for months, if not years. So why do you care? What’s one more life lost to you? One less enemy on the playing field to you really…”

“Because it’s Henri!” Winter shouted as she stomped her hooves angrily. “I am not some two-bit warlord like Red Eye or the Empress. She was, we… I just, don’t want anything to happen to her.”

“And yet you pointed Celestia One right at the NCR,” Twilight refuted. “I don’t know how or if I should trust you, given Megaspells were exactly the reason why Equestria is the way it is and the reason the Enclave even exists!”

“The Megaspells wouldn’t even exist if it wasn’t for the Ministries,” Winter said as she closed her eyes for a moment. “How many Megaspells did your Ministry develop? How many lives were lost on the last day because of your creations? I wasn’t the only one who was pointing a gun at the enemy’s head, but the difference is I never fired it.”

Twilight had the decency to look ashamed of herself. “We… we should have reached out, tried harder to prosper peace but… In the end, maybe we deserved exactly what we had coming to us, thinking Equestria was invincible in our hubris. All empires fall, maybe it was our time…”

Luna placed a comforting hoof on Twilight’s shoulder. Twilight sighed. “In any case, where did you get your information from anyways? How do you know Henri’s in danger, and for that matter what is she in danger from?” Twilight asked with more than a hint of suspicion.

“Twilight, you should know by now that I have ponies everywhere. I cannot compromise my secrets by telling you,” Winter replied. “But she’s in danger because she went after the Society. She’s still angry about what happened to Puppysmiles and is going after them as some twisted revenge for what happened to her. I would send my troops to do it, but we can’t get close to Manehattan after, recent events.”

“Nice to know,” Twilight remarked wanting Winter as far away from Manehatten as possible. She knew Winter would try for Celestia One again. It was in her nature. On the other hoof, Gabby had indeed mentioned Nimbus and Henri were out of Manehatten and as Riptalon had put it, they were performing some sort of pest control. And in Riptalon’s mind, the Wasteland was definitely infested. Not that she could blame him for his way of thinking. The Society was a blight upon Equestria and needed to be dealt with as soon as possible. They disgraced Luna’s good name by worshipping that… creature.

“I know you have no reason to trust me, but Henri is my friend,” Winter said as she looked down at her hooves. “Or, she was at least, I don’t know if they think of me as one anymore after everything I’ve done. Twilight, please, do this. Don’t do it for me, do it for Henri. She’s been struggling with what happened to Puppysmiles for years now. I wanted to help her get closure, but… I guess I failed,” Winter continued now pleading. “I… I just don’t want to see her…”

“I understand, but waking me up to go save Henri will be quite the challenge. Life Bloom put me under quite the anesthetic so he could perform the surgery. I’m not even sure if it’s a good idea to do it right now.” Twilight replied looking at Winter. At any other point in time, seeing the President of the Grand Pegasus Enclave humbled would have brought her satisfaction but right now…? No, she wasn’t so vindictive to let one of Winter’s friends die -No, not just one of Winter’s friends. One of her friends- just so she could see Winter on her knees.

“That is nothing to be worried about,” Luna said. “While I’m in here, Ruby should be helping with the surgery. Given she’s an Alicorn with healing magic, I’m sure that should help with the process.”

“Well then, in that case…” Twilight started. “I’ve got a friend to save.”

“T-Thank you…” Winter said. “Henri… I’m not sure on the exact location, but what I do know is this, she’s a few miles outside a scrapyard near Manehatten.”

“My time is running out, we’ll need to return to your dreamscape now,” Luna said as she opened the portal again.

“Luna, Twilight, thank you,” Winter said as she returned to her seat. “This means a lot to me. And tell Dr. Starlight that I appreciate her going out on a limb for me like this.”

“Ruby’s a good mare,” Luna said with a soft smile as she looked back at Winter. “And I’ll pass on the message to her.”

With that, everything began to fade, and Twilight shot awake much to Life Bloom’s shock even as he began to ready a certain limb.

“What… what the Hell?” Life Bloom shouted in shock, understandably startled. Nearby, a red Alicorn mare with a white mane who was probably Ruby sat beside him.

“She has to go,” Ruby said softly as she rubbed her head a little and looked at Twilight. “You got the message then?”

“Yes, I did.”

“What… What message?” Life Bloom demanded. “What’s going on around here?”

“We’ll explain later,” Ruby said as she gave Twilight a nod. “Short version, there’s a life on the line and she’s our best chance at saving it. Twilight, good luck.”

“I’m not exactly in the best state of galloping out of here. I’m going to need a bit of help to get a good running start, and to be flying fast enough to make it there in time.”

“You don’t even know where there is!” Ruby shouted.

“Trust me, if Nimbus is involved then chances are Henri will be pretty easy to locate. Neither of them are the most subtle of ponies at times…” Twilight mused.

“Point taken. What do you need?” Ruby asked.

“A good solid toss.”

“Oh boy… yeah, I think I can do that,” Ruby said with a nod. “There should be a good place to do that nearby.”

Ruby led the slow-flying Twilight to a nearby balcony a few rooms over. Picking up the frankly rather hefty pony, Ruby then gave a good hard toss and Twilight was sent flying with her powerful wings soon catching gusts of air. Surging forwards across the landscape, Twilight continued picking up speed until finally a loud explosion-like sound was heard. Almost like a thunderbolt. A powerful flash of purple light lit up the night air, and Twilight didn’t even realize what had happened until a few moments later.

“Thank you… Rainbow.” Twilight whispered before her eyes widened as she saw a powerful plume of fire in the distance. A few moments later, she saw it. Henri tossed into a boulder, her wing severed and her leg crushed.

Twilight fired a powerful beam of energy towards the alicorn who was slowly advancing on Henri, and the creature began to glow a hot red before exploding in a shower of blood and gore.

A spell, one that heated someone up from the inside out before finally, their blood literally boiled over. Twilight honestly hated that spell and wished she never developed it all those years ago. But right now, she was too mad to care.

Engaging the second alicorn in a brief aerial duel, Twilight knocked her down to earth with a spell that increased gravity around the target. Teleporting Henri away, thinking directly of the clinic Twilight then created shield after shield to block incoming spellfire. With a hint of pride, Twilight noted the body of a third alicorn flesh seared off from an explosion. Twilight knew there could be only one possible culprit for that. Seems Henri did not intend to go down without a fight.

Looking like some sort of dark avenging angel, Twilight then whirled around and slammed a powerful hoof into the final alicorn’s face crushing her skull. By now, Twilight was coated in a purple aura, a rare form of magic known only as Alicorn battle rage. It wasn’t something an IMP created Alicorn could access, only one ascended or born by natural birth. And even then, Twilight knew of only one Alicorn -her sister-in-law- that had accessed such a state upon the death of Shining Armor.

Flying down towards the nearby gas station in a fury, Twilight without thinking tossed a dropped zebra rifle towards Nimbus and burnt an Enclave soldier to ashes with a magical blast.

What happened next, Twilight could only describe as pure and utter horror. Ponies, being burned alive under their armor screaming for mercy. But no quarter would be given, at least by Nimbus. One pony tried to hide behind a car, but Nimbus just shot through it and blew it and the poor soul skywards in a light blue fireball. He continued to go on autopilot, shooting down any Enclave soldier that came close. Their deaths were hardly quick, and they were hardly without mercy. Right now, Nimbus the Enclave Soldier had returned. Nimbus Breaker, the Morningstar.

Twilight, for a brief moment, flashbacked to yet another time, another battlefield. Zebras, tearing through pony forces with these exact same weapons and friends of hers burning alive. No. Twilight decided then and there. She would not be a party to this. Not ever.

And neither it seemed, would Riptalon who was shouting and screaming. “You can stop now! Please, for Gawd’s sake, just STOP!”

“NIMBUS!” Riptalon shouted as he wrenched the rifle out of his mate’s hands and smashed it underneath his paw. “Your brother… He… he wouldn’t want this, would he?”

Twilight joined in on the pleading, trying to calm the rampaging pegasus down before he got them all killed. It would be too easy, a stray shot hitting an energy recharge pump. “Please… please stop all this!” she pleaded her voice barely higher than a whisper.

Finally, it seemed to sink in, and their voices reached Nimbus as he slowly opened his eyes and saw what lay around him. “No… No…” Nimbus slowly began as his voice began to turn softer before he watched with widened eyes a small white figure being pulled up the hill. Nimbus let out a roar of rage and his energy finally spent amongst the blood and the bodies collapsed into Riptalon’s arms sobbing heavily…

“So… that’s what happened then…” Twilight whispered in a slow, raspy voice tinged with more than a hint of shame. She’d left a few parts out, such as Winter Breeze’s family realizing the magnitude of such a thing if they weren’t creations of a dream. Certain truths would have stay secrets for the time being if stability ever was even hoped to be achieved. But for the most part, Clear Skies got the full unabridged story. “I know what you must think of me for committing such atrocious unforgivable acts, and who I conspired with but…”

“No,” Clear said and Twilight looked at him in shock. “No, you did what you thought you had to do, and in your place, I’m not entirely sure I couldn’t have stopped myself from doing the very same.”

Over Henri’s pipbuck, DJ Pon3 continued to talk speaking about rumors of a Sonic Rainboom being seen late last night before dismissing such things as bunk. Twilight had to chuckle at that. Out of all the weird and wild things in the wastes, was a third Sonic Rainboom really so hard to believe in? Then again, Twilight mused… It was considered a legend even back during Equestria’s golden age.

“Honestly… when it comes to family -and believe you me, Nimbus considers all of you his family- anything goes when it comes to protecting the ones you care the most about right?” Clear asked.

“Nimbus… he really considers us his family?” Henri whispered.

“If anything, I’d be more surprised if he didn't. Given all that I’ve heard of you been through together, it was… inevitable really. A family’s not just forged in blood really…” Clear continued. “I… I want to help you all. I want to help finally put the curse of the Enclave, and the Megaspells to rest. I’ve done so many things, some terrible and I probably will in the future but I want to end this war.”

“Yeah? Well… Get in line,” Twilight stated as the mare climbed up off her bed. “I may not have much of a place in Equestria anymore,” she continued before tossing a brief smile towards Henri. “But I can make sure my legacy isn’t totally remembered as one of sin and devastation. I… I want to do right again. I want to be the mare my teacher was proud of. Maybe I don’t deserve the title of Princess of Friendship anymore, but I will make sure that Equestria will never have to suffer ever again. Winter Breeze, the Society, Stormy Skies… All of them. I will either teach them or if needed… tear them down brick by brick.”

“And I’ll be right there by your side as you do so,” Henri smiled. “Puppy never wanted me to grieve over her death, not for as long as I did. She never wanted me to succumb to something as simple as a lust for blood. I was killing in her name. There should be no excuse for that. No excuse. No matter what I do, I can’t bring my sister back. But I will make sure the tomorrow that comes would be a place she’d have been proud to call home.” Henri stated her pipbuck glowing as she said this. Twilight tossed her another smile. She was glad her Element had found a very worthy successor.

“But what of Nimbus?” Clear Skies began. “What should-”

“Yes, what of me?” Nimbus asked as he walked in Riptalon by his side. “I’ve already made my choice. Equestria doesn’t need me. No… I’m far too much of a danger, and I’ve already done what I set out to do. Destroy Stormy Skies, or get my brother back. And I’m proud to say I’ve done the latter.”

“Wait, you’re not saying…” Henri whispered.

“Yes, I am. From this moment on, I’m officially retiring as a soldier.” Nimbus stated.

Author's Notes:

Okay, so I thought long and hard about this, but yes... Nimbus will be retiring as a soldier. He may come back to the fight in the future, or he may not. But for the time being his brother will be continuing his war, which is entirely understandable really. Last chapter, that was NImbus' Arbu. His greatest failure, where he succumbed to his bloodlust and nearly got his friends killed because of it.

Now, huge thank you to RuinQueen, as ever for writing not just Winter's lines, but Luna and Ruby's as well. Seriously sis, you rock.

Now, I must stress the reasoning behind this chapter. Wasn't even intended really, but I figured after Twilight showed up out of nowhere last chapter an explanation was needed. Hell, she wasn't supposed to show up until a friend of mine, PonyJosiah smacked me on the head and told me a griffon VS three Alicorns was suicide really.

Anyways, last chapter for this month so enjoy it, please? I'll be back next month, at least I hope, but for the time being, I'm stepping away from this story lest I suffer major burnout.
