Nick sat in the hospital, sweat running down his face. He had 2 minutes left from what the clock said, taking a deep breath he gulped, he had only been taught a few pointers in magic by Link along with a few spells that weren’t even the full package he could’ve learned!

Nick took another breath, the cool air of the hospital making him shiver slightly as he looked at the unconscious Eris and Twilight. From what the doctor had told them it’d be a bit before they fully woke up. Then Nick had to face the big bad himself Erebus, he was nervous, he was scared.
Anxiety building in his chest before he shook his head, “no!” He said as he took a breath.

I’ve got this, I have to be cautious but I’ve got this…” He reassured himself as he looked at his Omnitrix, he didn’t have that much time left. The others had been on their way to the hospital, the perfect time for Nick to slip out.

Clicking the faceplate he scrolled the list of aliens before clicking one form, fur growing along his body as a sort of black mask formed on his eyes, almost Wolverine like with a thunderbolt design going down his chest. Nick had been replaced with the alien Fasttrack as he dashed out of the hospital and past Applejack who jumped at the blur dashing by.

“What the hay was that?!” She shouted as Rainbow Dash rubbed a hoof against her chin, “I’m pretty sure Nick, but I don’t think he’d leave Twilight and Eris without a reason…”

“M-maybe he just needed time to think…” Fluttershy piped in, Applejack shook her head. “He had time to think before from what Twilight told us. Should we follow him?” Applejack asked looking out the window seeing the blur move fast to the edge of town.

“That would be a good idea darling, but who will stay back to watch Twilight and Eris?” Rarity asked, Applejack adjusted her hat. “Let em go ahead, I hope he’ll be alright…”

“Are your forces prepared?” Erebus asked in Shade’s ear, the unicorn grumbled slightly. “Yeah yeah yeah, they are. The princesses will know when Nick is close to death, I put the idea in Celestia’s head while she was sleeping. Once their gone Canterlot will be ours for the picking.”

“With the Princesses gone, we can converge on the other kingdoms. The dragons, the griffins, the Crystal Ponies. Along the way killing the Mane Six, as they’ll be an inconvenience we do not need.” Erebus laughed a bit as Shade narrowed his eyes at him, “Changeling territory?”

“Shade, we’ll take over all of Equestria once we’re done. If not more, and believe me this is just a small start for me. You can have this Equestria. But let us focus on these two, I must go to my duel.” Erebus stated as he quickly disappeared, Shade grumbling slightly. ‘

Behind him stood a rather large group of mutated Unicorns, Pegasi, and Earth ponies, along with the Timber Wolf. “I got off lucky, I’d rather have Sombra’s horn attached to me then be a mindless combat pony.” Shade said as he looked at the ponies, there was maybe a town's worth of them.

The ponies stood tall, their horns and or wings extended widely. For the unicorns their horns curved at the tip covered in armor that Erebus had obtained through means he did not discuss. The pegasus had it worse, their wings having grown along with the fur on their muzzles exposing skin and occasionally their skull.

The earth ponies looked horrible, their bodies covered in spots of random exposed skin and flesh. Most of them covered head to toe in complete sets of armor, that protected almost their entire body aside from their hooves.

Shade looked back at the beautiful city of Canterlot, his forces ready to strike on his command, “sad Razor isn’t here to experience this battle. He would’ve loved this.” Shade said grinning to himself.

Nick dashed in his feet skidding against the grassy floor of the Everfree, Erebus standing in waiting. “Ah welcome!” He said grinning widely, Nick reverting to his human form. “Why..?” Nick asked looking at Erebus.

“Why did I target your Twilight and Eris? Had to draw out the hero somehow.” Erebus said mockingly, ‘hero…’ Nick thought to himself clenching his fists.

Nick shook the thought from his head, gripping the handle of his sword tightly he whipped it out pointing it toward Erebus, both his hands clenched tightly on the handle. Erebus laughed, “HA! You call that a sword?!” Erebus said laughing harshly before coughing.

Grabbing the handle of his own weapon, the blade had not extended until he flicked it the large crimson red blade showing. Nick taking a deep breath, a spark forming along his blade. Flames erupting from it as a large fire formed on his blade.

Erebus grinned, “this’ll be fun!” Starting to run at Nick he reeled his blade back, taking a downwards slash at him. Nick dodging to the left thinking to himself, ‘ok I’ve got this!’ Nick thought, taking a quick sideways slash at Erebus, the crimson blade of the villains blade collided with Nick’s. Erebus removing one hand from the handle and then slammed his gloved fist into Nick’s chin sending him back a few feet.

Nick shook his head a bit, Erebus already following up taking a swing at him again. Nick dodging narrowly and leaping backwards, slamming his foot into Erebus’s stomach he elbowed his helmet before then spinning around and going for a angled strike with his sword.
Erebus recovering quickly saw this, throwing his blade into the air he dodged angled slash and punched Nick square in the face. Then going for a gut punch, Erebus did so mercilessly, grabbing Nick by his jacket and slamming his knee into Nick’s crotch.

Nick’s eyes shot open as he let out a shriek of pain, Erebus not allowing him to cover the dirty strike and headbutted Nick sending him on his back and forcing his sword away from his grasp. “You gotta go for those low blows..?” Nick asked as Erebus snorted.

“Nothing is considered low Nick,” he said as he pointed his blade at Nick’s face. The tip pushing against his nose. “Do you accept death?” Nick looked at his Omnitrix but shook his head, grabbing a rather large rock nearby it sparked to life catching fire as Nick flung it into Erebus’s helmet.

Sending him back as he rubbed his visor grumbling, ‘an opening!’ Nick thought as he leapt up, ignoring the pain as he slammed his fists into Erebus’s chin, his movements were natural. Kneeing Erebus in the chest he spun slamming his left fist into his visor with astonishing force actually sending Erebus on his back.

Jumping up, Nick slammed his foot down only for it to connect with the ground where Erebus’s head had been. ‘Fucker...that dick and his warping…’

Erebus grinned widely as he appeared slamming his fist into Nick’s jaw sending him backwards and against a tree, falling onto the ground Nick shook his head. “Can’t...quit…” Nick said rising to his feet.

Erebus looked at Nick, the human spitting some blood onto the ground. ‘Gotta try something before I use the watch if I can even stay alive for it..’

Nick had not tried this out himself, but desperate times call for desperate measures. Putting his hands together he closed his eyes, sparks forming in his hands. ‘Only saw Link do this but I think I get the gist…’ Nick thought to himself, before slamming his hands down on the ground. Erebus raising an eyebrow before a large expanding dome of pure flames overtook him.

“ARGGGGHH!!!!!” Erebus shouted, Nick pulling his hands away. Smoke and fire surrounding him from the burning trees, Nick was exhausted. Falling onto his chest and below the smoke he gagged slightly at the horrible stench, it being rather hard to breath.

Coughing and spurting his vision grew slightly blurry, before a bright flash of light surrounded his body and blinded him.

Erebus patted himself down, his armor and clothing covered in scorch marks as he narrowed his eyes. The forest was burning down, “I’ll have to fix that later.” Erebus grumbled as he tapped his gauntlet, “the Princesses did not appear to fight for Nick. Instead pull him away, initiate the attack. He isn’t getting back up for a while,” he said into his gauntlet.

Erebus grinned as he walked through the flames, his bright red visor shining in the burning of the Everfree and the screams and squeals of surprised animals, his form disappearing.

Celestia panted softly, Nick sprawled out on the cold floor of the Canterlot castle, Luna pushing against his side with a hoof. “Is thy finished?” She asked her sister, “no. He’s suffered a lot of injuries but we may be able to heal him.”

“Sister shall we inform Twilight Sparkle of our plight?” Luna asked as Celestia before she could respond heard the immediate cries and screams for help outside her castle. This drew her attention immediately, looking down seeing her subjects being attacked mercilessly. “Luna yes! Inform Twilight and the others of our trouble! Canterlot is under siege!” The sun goddess said, Luna taking off.

She looked down at Nick, who had been breathing very lowly and slow. Using her magic to carefully pick him up and dashed off.

A feeling of dread washed over Celestia, there was a storm coming she didn’t think her and the others could fix...her eyes then fell on the unconscious Nick before she shook it. ‘He’ll help…he has too…’

Sorry for the long wait and yes I know this chapter is MUCH different from the one I removed, I decided this would be a good point in my story to finally have Erebus make a big move on Equestria, which I firmly stand by. I hope you enjoyed it =3
