A few moments passed after Nick had walked upstairs to get Twilight, Eris poking and prodding at Link’s massive pointy ears. “So what are you? A elf?” She asked tilting her head looking at him intently. She pinched the tips of his ears as she giggled slightly grinning a bit in amusement.

“Hylian.” Link said as he reached up to push the chaos goddesses’s paw away. “Elf ears are more pointy while Hylian elfs have a slight curve at the end of their ear.” he corrected.

“So dare I say a curvy subspecies of elves?” She asked intentionally trying to annoy Link grinning even more.

“Elves don’t even exist in Hyrule, Eris.” Link said with a raised eyebrow at the hybrid’s attempt at annoying him. She pouted slightly snapping her fingers disappearing and reappearing on a chair. “No fun Link, no fun.” She said.

“Yep, you finally get to see another displaced that isn’t me and well he’s like my mentor.” Nick voice could be heard coming down the stairs, Eris’s ears perking up as she looked Twilight coming down first as she looked seeing Eris sitting in front of Link. “Is this him?” She asked Nick who followed suit.

“Yup, Link this is my Twilight.” She said rubbing the back of his head as the mare stepped forward rubbing a hoof against her chin looking at Link before extending her hoof smiling.

“It’s nice to meet you, Twilight.” Link said as he extended his hand to meet hers, although he wasn’t sure if it was going to be a handshake or a hoof-clop.

Twilight looked at him a bit awkwardly before putting her hoof in the palm of his hand, “see. Told you I was learning human gestures from Lyra.” She said smiling at Nick.

The human shrugged softly as he then followed it up with a small chuckle. “So Link, you ready for the nerdgasm?” Nick asked Link as he raised an eyebrow looking at him with a questioning look.

“It’s to be expected.” Link answered as he shook Twilight’s hoof. “Nerdgasm?” She asked as Nick coughed. “Link knows magic never seen in Equestria before.”

Twilight’s eyes sparkled in curiosity as she stepped closer to him, “you DO? What kind of magic? What’s it do? Is it able to be used by Unicorns? What about Alicorns?!” She asked him rather fastly completely interested.

“It can be used by anyone and anypony, I mean I taught Nick a few of them, there’s still a lot I need to teach him though. So far, I’ve taught him a few fire spells. As for what kind of magic I do, a lot of it is hylian in origin while some of it is Terminian.” Link explained as he patted his touch. “A little bit of it is void magic like with most Displaced.”

“Fascinating…” Twilight said as she rubbed her chin, Nick chuckled softly as he rubbed her mane. “I’ll teach you later. Just kidding, me and Link will probably hang out more. All depends if I stop Erebus or not.”

Twilight narrowed her eyes looking at him as Nick shrugged, “I mean technically I COULD use Alien X and erase him from existence. But it’s not that easy, and well. Alien X is only a last resort.” He said as he rubbed the back of his head.

“Nothing is ever easy.” Link said with a shake of his head and a sigh before looking at Nick. “Much like me using the Fierce Deity Mask, it's powerful but it's not guaranteed to work against an enemy who may have resistance against magic.”

“Well yeah, but I’m pretty sure Alien X would work against Erebus. Or something,” Nick said as he shrugged, “Celestial Sapiens have no limits Link. I could potentially do anything as long as two other voices agree with what I want to do.” Nick said shrugging slightly.

“I remember that episode, one male, the other female, two floating green faces?” Link asked as he looked down at Twilight and the gears that are probably turning in her head.

“Yeeeep. Bellicus and Serena.” Nick nodded as he then looked at Twilight himself, the mare simply staring before snapping out of her trance. “O-oh! Sorry! Just thinking!” She said giving a sheepish smile.

Nick rolled his eyes before rubbing her head again, “it’s fine Twi.” He said chuckling softly.

“At least you’re tame compared to my Twilight when she was a filly.” Link said as he looked over at Nick. “So, what would you like to do? I’ve got all the time in the universe.” Link said, in somewhat of a literal sense.

Nick rubbed his chin, “hmmmm...lemme think.” Nick said as he rubbed his chin, “to be honest? I do not know myself.” Nick looked at his Omnitrix, “I could maybe play around with this thing or practice.”

“Remember what I said when you wanted to learn hand-to-hand combat? I’ll allow you to copy the DNA of Goron and Zora.” Link said as he reached into his pouch to pull out two masks.

Nick rubbed his chin, “yeah, that’ll work. Let’s do it then.” He said as he raised his arm the back of the Omnitrix pointing to Link, it sitting idle.

Link placed the mask onto his face and with a brief flash, he became the mask’s identity, a red zora whose colors fade to green and blue, his battle damage still there. Except Nick noticed a scar on Link’s chest that reminded him of his own wounds.
“Manticore?” Nick asked raising an eyebrow looking at Link. “Uncataloged DNA detected.” His Omnitrix chirped to life as a familiar yellow beam scanned over Link once more, once finally covering his whole body the beam disappeared. Nick looking down at his Omnitrix and scrolling through the holographic interface seeing the holographic head of the new form. “Ah perfect it’s there. Next, I wanna get both of them now and then tamper with them later.”

“Do these...masks work differently depending on the user?” Twilight asked having a notepad in her magical grip as Eris rubbed her chin floating around Link. “Hmmmmmmmmmmmm….”

“The mask gives the powers of the spirit it contains, I got those masks by a song known as the Song Of Heal, a spell that heals trouble spirits and curses and turns them into masks. Nick here however will have the form but not the experience and persona of the Mask. This Mask here contains the spirit of the music artist Mikau, guitar of the zoras in Termina. “ Link explained as he looked at Twilight. “It’s work for me, although i’ve never seen a non-humanoid wear it.” he said as a mental image of a zora unicorn appeared in his head. “Every person who wears the mask will look different compared to other users who wear it. In my Mask some of my clothes have blended with the form.”

The long head tail fin was faded in blue and red much like the cloak he wore in his form. “By the way, Nick. The Zora form will allow you to fight and swim underwater very swiftly, fight with arm fins, use them as boomerangs, and last allow you to create an electric blue shield that shocks those who get too close.” Link explained.

“So another good form underwater? Awesome,” Nick said chuckling softly as he nodded softly looking at his Omnitrix and scrolling through the Holographic interface a bite. “It’ll be useful.” He said as he then looked up the interface disappearing.

“Thanks,” he said smiling slightly as he rubbed his hair.

Link grabs as his face and pulls it off, reverting back to his original form. He put it away and then pulling out the Goron Mask and putting it on, assuming the form of a proud goron hero. “Goron form, capable of shattering boulders, immunity to high temperatures, strong fiery punches, rock hard body, and you can roll around with spines popping out of your body when your activate your magic.” Link explained.

“Uncataloged DNA detected.” The Omnitrix chirped once more as it scanned Link’s Goron form. A few seconds passing before the yellow beam disappeared again, “perfect.” He said smiling as he checked the interface once again before moving his arm away it disappearing.

“Wait hold up, Omnitrix. What is my name?” He asked as the device beeped slightly, “Nicholas Devin Taylor of Earth.”

“Has my voice been saved in case of an Omnitrix hijack?” He asked raising an eyebrow, “affirmative.” The watch replied as Nick nodded.

“Perfect then,” He said grinning as he rubbed his hands together. “I’ll have to tamper with the advanced security systems.” Nick said as Eris rolled her eyes, “well...intriguing.” She said as she appeared beside Nick Twilight haven taken all the knowledge in her notes even making a rather decent drawing of Link’s Goron form.

“These masks could have lots of power in the right hooves…” She said looking up at Link.

“Before you ask, no. They can’t be replicated, each one contains a unique spirit.” Link explained as he removed the mask, he turns his attention to Nick. “There are three other masks, but one is too weak, the other is too strong, and the last you already have unicorn DNA.”

“Sure do and I could’ve guessed that.” Nick said laughing a bit, “but yes I have unicorn DNA anyway.” Nick said shrugging softly.

“The Deku Mask won’t be much use to you, except goofing around and being cute. The Fierce Deity Mask may be too strong as it contains a oni demon god in a weaker form.” Link explained

“Gotcha so one is to useless and the other is too powerful.” Nick then rubbed his hand against his chin. “Well, anyway is there anything else you have for me?” He asked Link raising an eyebrow.

Twilight’s horn sparking slightly as she looked up at it, a hoof rubbing against her horn. “What in Celestia..” She said a headache shooting through her head. Eris raising an eyebrow as her claw and paw began to shake, “what..even I don’t know what this is-”

Twilight let out a squeal of pain as her horn shot a magical bolt, Eris quickly catching it and using her magic to project a screen.

It was blank for a minute before sparking to life with a red visor peering out of it. Nick’s eyes widened as he clenched his fists.

“Erebus…” Nick said as Erebus laughed a bit, “of course. And I see you’ve made a new friend.” He said the black slits looking at Link, Twilight holding her head with her hooves. Tears streaming down her face as she screamed in absolute pain, the energy in her horn turning bright red.

“What do you want?!” He shouted clenching his fists tighter, “I want you. It’s about time I finally killed you anyway, funs over.” He said grimly.

“Erebus just tell me where and when now!” He said taking a deep breath and attempting to care for the alicorn and Eris at the same time. Eris even unable to bear the sheer pain of it, “the center of the Everfree Forest, in one hour. Be on time Taylor, because I don’t think little Twilight and Eris can handle another shock of energy from me.” He said laughing a bit before the projection disappeared, the red energy disappearing as Twilight took deep breaths holding her head still as Eris panted softly falling onto her side.

Nick clenched his fist a bit tighter as he stood up. “I gotta go fight him…” He said not even looking at Link his heart beating a bit.

“Do what you must and remember what I taught you.” Link said as he reached up to tap the side of his head. “You’ve got new tricks to use that he is unaware of.”

“I know...and trust me...after this..?” He knelt down beside Eris rubbing her white hair, “he’ll be lucky to see fucking tomorrow…” Nick said as he stood back up as he took a deep breath. “I’ll use the 58 minutes to care for these two. Then turn into XLR-8 and go to the Everfree Forest.” Nick said as he clicked his Omnitrix turning into Four Arms and picking up Eris and Twilight with each pair of his arms.

“Link, I’ve got this...thanks for the mentoring but this is my fight now…” He said as he took a deep breath using his foot to open the door. “Good thing Spike is with Rarity, I don’t wanna hear him flip.” He said walking out.

“If things get bad, don’t hesitate to ask for my help, alright?” Link asked as he took seat on the floor, sitting indian style. He points up at the necklace around Nick’s neck. “Something I forgot to mention, I use my token to become a wolf. Just incase there’s something you need to find, just sniff the air in that form and you’ll see scent colors by your eyes.” Link explained

“Gotcha, how do I end our contract for now?” He asked looking at him with two of his eyes.

“You don’t know? I know i’m not the first Displaced you met.” Link said with a raised eyebrow.

“Lemme guess, Link our contract is done.” He said raising an eyebrow.

“Exactly.” Link said before he was encased in a blue crystal, he raises up a few feet before suddenly spinning and vanishing out of thin air.

Nick looked at where Link was as his heart pounded against his Tetraman chest. “Forget this...Erebus is going down for this…” He said as he ran forward carrying Twilight and Eris to the hospital.

Thank Displaced Writer for allowing this crossover to happen! It was perfect for Nick's character and for him to learn new stuff. Next chapter is gonna be quite the smack down chapter.
