The sun was presenting itself, it seems I've pulled an all nighter, as if that’d matter as I never sleep, the red chaos emerald always kept me energized as long as I don’t unleash too much energy, I’ve made that mistake when I confronted Ex-Dragon Lord Ember. The emerald I took from her was a silvery white.

I returned to Cantorlot and met up with Celestia, I told her the progress I had. For some reason, she had such a worried look on her face.

“...I know you have experience with this, but I think I should take over from here. I am aware that the Chaos Emeralds holds huge amounts of power, but from what you told me, she managed to destroy most of the island, I’m sorry but I believe I should take it from here.” Celestia said.

[...Do you have the power to do so, Celestia? I don’t mean to question you, but I don’t hold belief you’ll get the emeralds without causality..] I asked her.

“I’ve been around for thousand of years and have fought against all sorts of demons and vile creatures, I am not proud of who and we had to seal away in Tartarus, or worst.. Kill.” She said the last word with a shudder. I couldn’t help but raise my watery eyebrow at that. “Yes, Echo, Me and my sister have been Equestria’s protector, we’ve fought many beings and won many wars, while Luna is proud of those victories, I can’t say the same for myself. I’ve always chosen a peaceful approach before resorting to violence, much like when we first fought King Sombra and his cursed sword, Umbra.” Celestia said with a shudder, for some reason that name Umbra echoed in my mind like a lost memory..

“That sword ate the souls of the innocent, it’s thirst was never satisfied. After we banished Sombra to the shadows, we had to separate the sword from him as well and seal it deep within… I’m sure we’re capable of gathering those emeralds and delivering them to you. Please, Echo, have faith.” She said, I went into a moment of silence… Perhaps she could do it, I mean afterall, she managed to brainwash everyone into befriending others, ok, perhaps not everyone since Discord was sealed in stone twice.

“...Fine, I'll allow it, Celestia, however if things get worst, please contact me as soon as you can.” I said, and she revealed a motherly smile in response, I bowed my head before leaving the throne room. Welp, I’ve got plenty of time now, but I cannot help but worry about this whole ordeal… [I need to do something to keep my mind off of things… Returning to Ponyville would be a no go considering I wasn’t liking the whole ‘suddenly friend’ approach the mane six did, returning to the Everfree Forest is only send me into depression from being alone…] I said mentally to myself as I trotted across Canterlot’s streets. [Living here would be unwise, the people have their heads way to far up their behind, especially the look of disgust they keep giving me.]

With a groan of annoyance, it appeared that I have no choice but to head over to Ponyville for the time being until I could find a place… less-straight forward, I mean i’m all for friendship, but those thing require time, not the snap of a human finger.

With a two simple words of Chaos Control, I vanished in a burst of red energy, the world around me froze in time, then turned into inverted red and fade way, soon being replaced with an image of inverted red ponyville.

All the ponies had to stop in their daily life to see the newcomer in town, a strange aqua blue pony with emerald eyes. [Just a teleport spell, ponies, move on.] I said with my mouth syncing with my words as to avoid freaking people out from hearing a telepathic, they eventually did go on with their business.

I couldn’t help but raised a watery eye ridge when I notice a rather… long scroll being dragged along, my eyes following it till it ended with a purple dragon with green spines, Twilight Sparkle was also with this creature, hmm..

[Big day?] I asked out of curiosity, Spike looked up at me and sighed.

“You have no idea..” he mumbled.

“Oh! Echo, when did you get back?” Twilight asked with surprise.
[Just recently via teleportation] I said, making my way over to here. [What’s with the list anyways?]
“That’s just my checklist for things I need to do. Gotta make sure I do everything.” She said, that… can’t be healthy, can it?
[Hey, if it works, it works.] I said with a shrug.
“Now, if you don’t mind, me and Spike have a schedule to do, come on Spike.” She said before trotting off with… who I assume the dragon to be Spike.. following afterwards, the poor guy had a slightly annoyed expression on his face.

With Twilight and Spike gone, I decided to head explore around Ponyville, perhaps try to find a suitable home, nothing to fancy, but nothing too small, maybe even quiet..

Suddenly, I felt a tiny surge of energy coming from what appeared to be a… gingerbread house, I couldn’t tell if it was leftover by Discord, or if it’s actually part of the town… Well, no chaotic energy yet, except minor disharmony. I shrugged my arms before resuming my travels in search of anything that could tell me about the available homes, perhaps a catalog or a newspaper, maybe a town hall?

Eventually, I managed to locate one of the three available options, spoke with the Town’s Mayor who was ironically named Mare, there were three homes available, one near here, another at the top of a hill, and another near a rather large lake, for the moment, the last two choices looked tempting.

I decided to go with the lake mostly for nostalgic purposes, plus who knows whenever you need a large body of water.

Author's Notes:

Sorry for the rather short chapter and taking so long to update, writor's block can be such a pain in the behind. Btw, You're probably wondering whatever happened to the next cross-over chapter, well due to writor's block, I couldn't for the life of me decide what to make happen next, so I decided to put it on hold for the time being and try to focus more on the main story, I'm sure most or some are you are annoyed by my slow updating and I am aware of your dislike for cross-overs, so I've been thinking that the next person who wishes to cross-over with me, I will add as side-story separated from the main, that way you can enjoy it without seeing cross-overs being part of it. Not to worry, the chaos emerald hunt is still going on, it's just the deciding part i'm struggling with.

Next Chapter: My new home. Estimated time remaining: 44 Minutes
