Twilight, Sci-Twi, and Sunset Shimmer all dashed down the corridors of Crystal Prep. Their breathing became heavy and their faces dripped with sweat as the flood of Dark Yo-kai pursued them. Roars, howls, and shrieks pierced their ears and sent shivers down each and every one of their bones as the monstrous servants of King Void began to close the gap on them.

"Out of the way!" said a Dark Yo-kai as the horde began throwing the humans out of their path and into the walls and lockers. "The princess must suffer before our leader breaks her!"

"Hold on, everyone!" Harmory clacked it's two heads together, causing golden sprinkles to rain down on Twilight and the others. "We'll keep you going! Don't worry about it!"

"Thanks, Harmory!" the three teens chimed in unison before turning sharply down another path.

"Run all you want, you fools! You'll just die tired!" Kin snickered as she shot a bolt of black lightning out at Twilight's feet, causing her to jump and stumble to the side. "And we haven't even begun to mess with you yet!"

"Under King Void's orders, we'll crush you, take the Wicked Yo-kai to our master, and give us an even bigger army!" Gin raised her left hand, causing a small geyser of black liquid to gush out at Sunset's undercarriage. She felt the water strike her square in the groin, but she still ran, even though she let out a little wince of pain. "For the fallen Dame Dedtime, for all of those you humans took away from us... This is our vengeance!"

Lie-in Heart leapt from locker to locker, striking down Dark Yo-kai with every jump. But for each one that he sliced in half with his sword, more came out of the pack and almost sunk their teeth or claws into him. Despite this, he continued to evade and strike the army.

"Get out of here, you monsters!" Count Cavity flew backwards and jabbed his pitchfork rapidly at the horde of Dark Yo-kai. Every time he impaled one, it disappeared in a small surge of white light, only for more to take its' place. "Bacteria Barrage!"

"It's no use, girls! We can't outrun them!" Sci-Twi spoke through thin breaths. She was running so fast that she nearly tripped over herself. "At this rate, we'll run out of breath in a few seconds!"

"Then we just have to go outside and fight them!" Sunset Shimmer turned towards a fire escape door.

"What? Are you crazy, Sunset?" asked Twilight as she and the group of Yo-kai followed after her. "The Dark Yo-kai were a handful as it was back in Equestria. I don't want you to get caught in their crosshairs too. Who knows what they could do to you or your friends?"

"These Dark Yo-kai don't scare me." Sunset tightened the grip around her Yo-kai Watch and heard Dracunyan's laugh and the screams of a defeated Dark Yo-kai behind her. "Plus, we seem to be dealing with 'em pretty well so far. For a horde, I mean."

"True, true. But Kin and Gin are leading the pack, and those two are pretty devilish Yo-kai." Twilight barrelled through the door and lead her friends onto the grassy soccer field. "I mean, they were the right-hand ladies to Dame Dedtime; a Yo-kai who nearly conquered the human race with her dastardly plan..."

"Plus, both Kin and Gin have the ability to control and manipulate time." Whisper shuddered as he reflected on the past. "I still have goosebumps after the trip she sent me and Jibanyan on."

"Well, you can reminisce later, Whisper." Jibanyan scurried by Twilight's feet. "For nyaow, we've gotta fight the Dark Yo-kai, nyan!"

Twilight, Sci-Twi, and Sunset turned on the heels of their feet back around to face the Dark Yo-kai head on. As the swarm was about to crash into them, they split into two separate packs inches in front of the three of them and caused the teenagers to tumble onto their bottoms as the Dark Yo-kai formed a giant ring around them.

"What're they doing?" Twilight looked around and watched the Dark Yo-kai expand their formation from a simple ring on the ground to a massive dome that began blotting out the world around them. As the black creatures leapt on top of their peers' shoulders or flew overhead, they began to form a black web around each other; one that replaced the fading colours of the outside world with a purple energy field with bright streaks of lightning flowing between each filled crevice.

"It must be some kind of arena..." Whisper watched the dome form around him and just barely clip the swirl on top of his head. "And I assume that Kin and Gin are going to be our opponents if none of the Dark Yo-kai are going to challenge us..."

"That doesn't seem right," said Jibanyan. "Why don't the Dark Yo-kai try attacking us now that we've got nowhere to run? Isn't that fair?"

"Oh, we know what's going to happen already, Jibanyan of the light..." A Dark Yo-kai resembling Sailornyan gave Jibanyan a little wink and an evil grin.

"Wait... Sailornyan?!" Jibanyan stumbled backwards.

"It's not Sailornyan anymore, fool! I am Oblivinyan! A mighty cat Yo-kai under His Majesty's rule!" She snarled, only for her anger to dissipate shortly afterwards. "But anyways, we Dark Yo-kai would attack you under any circumstances, but we're merely preparing."

"Preparing for what, may I ask?" Twilight tilted her head.

"For Kin and Gin's ascension to the dark side..." said an Impersult. "We know that you'll win and that Kin and Gin will fail again. And when they do..." he simply began laughing.

"Those two hags are writing their own epitaph by fighting you here." A female Dark Yo-kai with a fog-like body chuckled. "We're just making things seem much more epic. After all, Kin and Gin are going to die, so why not die fighting?"

"You mean to say that it really doesn't matter whether or not your allies win or lose here?! What kind of army is that?!" Whisper's mouth hung open.

"If you win against Kin and Gin, King Void will come down from his throne and into the human world. Upon doing so, he will grab Kin and Gin and forcibly turn them into Dark Yo-kai like us," said a Dark Yo-kai that looked like a shark.

"But if you lose, then Kin and Gin continue working for King Void as they are and your worlds march one step closer to oblivion," added a Yo-kai that looked strikingly similar to Mermaidyn. "It's a win-win for us either way!"

"Besides, Kin and Gin are, what, ten-thousand years old?" A Dazzabel Dark Yo-kai cracked her knuckles. "I think it's time those old hags had a bit of a makeover, if you ask me..."

"But enough talk. Let's get this show on the road!" said one more Dark Yo-kai before Kin and Gin entered the arena as it closed itself off to the world outside.

"What do we do, Whisper?" Twilight backed up towards the end of the dome, holding the Yo-kai Watch EX in the palm of her right hand. "No matter what, we'll be playing right into the Dark Yo-kai army's hands..."

"Well, you have to think about this in the long-term, Twilight, my dear." Whisper put on some glasses and pulled out a calculator with a roll of paper on it. He began pounding in some characters which quickly appeared on the paper. "If you choose not to fight here and let Kin and Gin win, then you not only lose your life, but the Wicked Yo-kai ally themselves with King Void and all three worlds are practically doomed. But at the same time, if you choose to keep fighting, then Kin and Gin become Dark Yo-kai themselves and we might even get some new Yo-kai allies to join our cause..." He muttered to himself as he violently pounded down the numbers, causing his calculator to break into pieces and spill the paper all over the ground. "Basically, Twilight, you can't just give up in a win-win scenario like this. Just go with your gut on this."

"You're not alone in this, Twilight. We're all here for you to the very end." Sunset Shimmer nodded and bent her knees, getting into a combat-ready stance. "Even if it doesn't matter what we do, we've still gotta stand strong against the forces of evil. And if that means we have to turn Kin and Gin into Dark Yo-kai, then we'll do what we have to do to save the day."

"I mean, we're outnumbered, but you know what they say, right?" Sci-Twi gripped her watch as well. "Quality vs quantity. They might have numbers, but we have the Magic of Friendship on our side. And I'm sure that'll help us beat these creeps!"

"Oh, blah blah blah. Your mushy friendship with Yo-kai sickens me!" Kin punched into her left hand. "Let us get this over with as soon as possible, so that we may turn the Wicked back to our side!"

"But first, this ring seems a little bit too small. Might I suggest a change in size, sister?" Gin's eyes shifted all around the dome they were all encapsulated in.

"Kin, why would you want to make such a decision at a time like this?" Kin turned to Gin. "We can just crush Twilight and her friends in seconds like this. Why give them a fighting chance?"

"It wouldn't be fun to crush our opponents if we can't break their spirits at the same time. Plus, you must remember that the Dark Yo-kai are on our side now," said Gin.

"But only because King Void gave us a last chance! If we don't get more aggressive, then he'll turn us into Dark Yo-kai!" Kin stomped the ground.

"You're afraid, aren't you, sister?" Gin tilted her head. "Just grow up. You work for the king now. You have nothing to fear as long as you pull out all your tricks."

"How dare you, Gin." Kin lowered her brows. "I am two-hundred and thirty-eight years older than you are and I say that we should fight them as we are, and not make the arena any bigger, smaller, or rounder!"

"Well, maybe it's time for a change in leadership!" Gin pushed her forehead against Kin's.

"I couldn't agree more!" Lie-in Heart leapt up at the bickering Time Witches and slashed horizontally, knocking both Kin and Gin backwards into the Dark Yo-kai, who kicked them away and into more Dark Yo-kai, who continued the cycle until the two of them crashed into the ground.

"Nnngh..." Kin growled as she pulled her head out of the ground and glared at Twilight and her friends. "DIE!" She thrust her arm out, shooting a torrent of dark energy towards them all.

Twilight leapt out of the way of the blast, which struck the wall behind her. The Dark Yo-kai didn't move an inch and instead just groaned in delight, as if they were in a shower. "Count Cavity! Take her down! Harmory! Keep us healed!"

"Got it!" They both spoke in unison before charging into battle.

"Dracunyan! Go!" Sunset jabbed a finger out at Gin. "Get her good!"

"Oh, I vill, my mistress!" Dracunyan smirked and opened his cloak up. "For I thrive in ze dark. Kin and Gin have dug zemselves zeir own graves by doing this!" And he dashed towards them, bearing his fangs wide at the two Time Witches. "Let my Dracunyan bite change you for good, Time Vitches!"

Twilight and her friends were well co-ordinated with each of their attacks. With Harmory's power running through all of them, they were able to see attacks coming from a mile away and easily evade and counter. Kin and Gin were able to land some magical attacks on them in their sprawl in the cage, but it was heavily weighing towards Twilight, Sci-Twi, and Sunset's favour.

"No! I choose to fight!" Kin slammed a fist into the ground, causing a thin black tornado to form around her. "I lost everything precious to me. My humanity, my past, my mistress, EVERYTHING! And I swear on her name that Twilight Sparkle of Equestria shall be gutted into a million pieces!"

"Kin and I lost everything ourselves twice now. Our humanities are a thing of ancient times and our loyalty to Dame Dedtime has been burned to ash thanks to you wretched humans!" Gin mimicked Kin's actions and formed a second tornado. "You will not live to see the sun again, princess."

"THE HUMAN RACE MUST BE DESTROYED!" Both Kin and Gin began taking in black energy from all corners. Some offered up by the Dark Yo-kai, while other strands burst out from the ground beneath their feet.

"Get ready, girls..." Twilight took a step back. "I think they might be about to perform a Soultimate..."

"Then we'd better stop them!" Sunset ran towards Kin and Gin and attempted to pull them away, but the second she came into contact with one of the witches, a thin black veil shot up from their body and pushed her back to the girls. "Gah!" She exclaimed as she was launched away.

"Yo-kai! Stop this quickly!" Sci-Twi thrust her finger forward. "Try staggering them out of it! Kick them! Knock them back! Anything to stop them from channeling that darkness!"

All of the Yo-kai in the girls' entourage dashed towards Kin and Gin and tried to strike them down. But the power that the Time Witches was amassing was so powerful that each of their attacks was reflected back at them and sent them hurtling towards the Dark Yo-kai, who repelled them as easily as they did Kin and Gin.

"You. Are. Finished. Twilight!" Kin's eyes shot open.

"Accept. Defeat. NOW!" Gin's eyes did the same.

"TIME CRUSH!" Both Kin and Gin thrust their arms behind them, generating a massive clock with bent arms. Both arms rapidly revolved clockwise as blue and purple magic began to emanate from it. But before the clock could finish spinning, Kin and Gin slammed their fists into it, breaking the clock into pieces. Despite punching it inward, the pieces instead flew backwards, straight towards Twilight and her friends.

"What the..." Twilight just stared at the clock as all of the pieces darted towards her. She had no time to jump out of the way or evade in any way as the remnants of the clock dug themselves into her arms and legs, and the limbs of all of her Yo-kai friends. "YYAAAAAAAAAAHHHH!" She screamed as the sharpened pieces of the clock sunk deeper and deeper into her arms and began to drill down her bones.

Sunset Shimmer and Sci-Twi tried to duck out of the way of the clock parts, but the pieces homed in on their bodies with no way of evading them. Shortly after trying to run out of the way, the clock parts struck Sunset in her back and Sci-Twi in her chest. Both of them screamed and writhed as the pieces delved through their skin and approached their organs.

"There's a reason why we're called the Time Witches you know..." Kin slowly walked forward as she watched Twilight holler and cry in pain as the clock continued to hurt her. "But never before have we had to resort to extreme methods."

"Destroying the Clock of Destiny is akin to signing your own death warrant, but we have nothing more to lose at this point." Gin nodded. "King Void is already furious with us for disobeying his rules multiple times, so I figured that, if we're going to die, then we'll die taking you three down with us!"

"Whis...per..." Twilight groaned, falling to her knees as she looked up into Whisper's eyes. "The pain... It hurts... so badly..."

"What's gonna... happen to us?" Sunset tried to crawl forward, but the clock pieces continued to bury themselves in her body.

"Hard to say, really." Kin stood on top of Sunset. "You could jump forward or backwards in time, age or youthen rapidly until you disappear, or even get frozen in time forever. Naturally, our clock can do all three of those, but now that it's in splinters, there's no telling what will happen to you all..."

"Savour your last breaths while you still can, girls." Gin flew up and watched as Sci-Twi, Twilight, and Sunset all began to move less and less with the intensifying pain. "At least your deaths will be influential. They will inspire the Yo-kai World to abandon hope, and realize that King Void is the one and only ruler!"

"I... can't... move... any... more!" Sci-Twi flopped onto her back and tried to pull the shards out of her chest. But the second she laid her fingers on the pieces, her stamina had all but left her. "Is this... the end?"

"I'd say that your time's up, girls..." said Kin before she and Gin shared a maniacal laugh with each other.
