"CHARGE!" Twilight thrust her finger forward, sending Buchinyan, Pandle, and Roughraff forward towards the Puppet Brothers. She watched her Yo-kai charge in and jump towards the brothers, ready to hit them as hard as they could.

The Puppet Brothers simply waved their hands, sending forth their inspirited audience to intercept the attacks. They saw the CHS students collide with the Yo-kai and knock them away.

"Not only was that pathetic, Twilight Sparkle, but it was entirely predictable." String Puppet smirked as he threw his arms out to his sides. "Let me show you what a REAL attack is!" He streched his hands forward and clapped them together, sending the weapons dangling on each string towards Twilight's team, striking all of them at once.

"Try this!" Sock Puppet jabbed his left hand forward, sending a squadron of his flying puppets towards Twilight's team. They all dive-bombed and swooped around her, breathing fire on her and her Yo-kai team.

Buchinyan and Rhyth managed to evade the fire-breathing puppets and were moving towards Sock Puppet, with Noway taking all of the attacks for himself as he threw his body in front of Twilight. The fires simply dissipated once they hit his rock-hard body, and he thrust both of his hands out to the flying socks.

Twilight leapt out of the fire-breathing socks and rolled towards the edge of the theatre, using her stylus to activate the aiming reticle once more. She carefully aimed it at Mind Puppet and fired a pin that stuck to his head and glowed brightly, directing her team towards it. "Strike him, everyone!" She declared.

Mind Puppet grunted and swung his sword horizontally once Buchinyan and Rhyth leapt towards it. It missed them by a fraction, but shot out a wave of purple energy that slammed into the two Yo-kai and knocked them to the floor. He swung it back and forth three more times, sending strikes at Buchinyan, Rhyth, and Noway in quick succession.

"Buchinyan! It's time for your Soultimate!" Twilight shouted as she tapped on the red icon on her computer screen. She saw little symbols that she began to trace, causing Buchinyan to take in purple energy in the real world. "Just give me some time, and let it fly, my friend!"

"Sure thing, Twilight!" Buchinyan nodded in Jibanyan's voice and stood on the tips of his paws. He watched String Puppet's inspirited allies charge in towads him, creaking their wooden necks as they raised their arms to strike him. The cat leapt up onto the backs of each of the puppets, nimbly hopping from one to another as he tried to get closer to the Puppet Brothers.

"Stop that cat!" String Puppet shouted, pointing towards Buchinyan as he continued to leap over his forces.

"Fully charged! Go for it, Buchinyan!" Twilight smiled.

"Ready for this, Jibanyan? You bet, Whisper!" Buchinyan leapt high into the air, performing a few frontal flips as he got within striking distance of the Puppet Brothers. "FLURRY OF FURRY!" He declared in both Whisper and Jibanyan's voices together as he jabbed at the brothers in the same way that Jibanyan used his Paws of Fury. Only now, the blows were much faster and were striking all of the brothers together.

The brothers all jolted around as Buchinyan hammered them with his Flurry of Furry and struggled to stand in an upright posture as they took the brunt of the attack. They were all knocked back against the wall and groaned before they all snarled and got right back up onto their feet.

"I applaud you, Twilight. It's not everyone that's been able to deal us an actual attack." String Puppet inwardly shrugged and flicked his hair back. "In fact, it's been no-one. This should be a good fight!"

"Let's see what your friends can really do against us!" Mind Puppet flew forward and flashed his wings towards the Yo-kai firing hypnotic streams of light directly into their eyes. "Look Deep..."

"Yes, master..." The Yo-kai droned as purple inspiriting flames appeared around them. They slowly hobbled towards Mind Puppet and became translucent the second they reached him.

"Blazion, Roughraff, Pandle, you're up!" Twilight turned the wheel on the computer screen, sending out her backrow. She watched Roughraff, Blazion, and Pandle walk forward and crack their knuckles as they eyed up the Puppet Brothers. "You focus your fire on Mind Puppet while I purify my friends!"

"Don't need to ask us twice. I love me a good rumble!" Roughraff slammed his fist into his hand and rushed towards the giant Yo-kai, without even noticing that his mind-controlled subjects were running towards him.

Pandle held his toothpick like a javelin and ran towards the crowds, poking them with it as hard as he could before he ducked underneath them and ran towards the Puppet Brothers. His tiny stature allowed him to move through the crowds with ease, and they often had to get down onto their knees and knock the others down as they tried to catch him.

"Can't you all just do one simple task?!" String Puppet shouted at his own crowd without even noticing that Pandle was right beneath him. He felt the toothpick jab into him and he looked down at Pandle, who was repeatedly poking and prodding him with the toothpick's edge. "GRRRAAGGH!" He kicked Pandle back into the humans, knocking them back down again.

Twilight was busy purifying her friends. She drew circles with her stylus to free Rhyth, popped little digital bubbles to save Buchinyan, and tapped a magical golden ball that immediately cured Noway. All of this was going on while her other Yo-kai were busy fighting through the crowds to get to the brothers.

"I always liked my Yo-kai crispy!" Sock Puppet breathed fire from both hit mouth and from the mouths of his puppets down onto Blazion. The flames did absolutely nothing as Blazion simply shrugged them off and continued to strike at him.

"BLAZING FIST!" Blazion leapt high into the air and performed a left hook on Sock Puppet. The attack was enveloped in a shroud of fire and knocked the giant Yo-kai into his brothers, knocking them over into a heap on the ground.

"Get off of me!" String Puppet threw his brothers off and flew up. "It's time that we stopped messing around and got to work. I will not fail his majesty!"

"Good work, team." Twilight turned the wheel, bringing back Buchinyan, Rhyth, and Noway. "You take a breather. It's time for the other side to shine."

"Let's do this!" Buchinyan nodded as he began to claw at Sock Puppet some more. He ripped through his socks and struck the sock puppeteer as hard as he could.

"Noway, you handle defense." Twilight tapped the Soultimate button on her Yo-kai Watch EX and caused Noway to begin taking in energy for his move. She found herself tapping little orange orbs that drifted across the screen one after the other until Noway was fully charged. "Let's go!"

"NO WAY THROUGH!" Noway sat down on the ground and thrust his arms out in front of the brothers. He took all of the attacks that the brothers and their crowd had to throw, not even budging after the massive assault.

"Rhyth, our team looks like it's taken quite a pounding." Twilight looked at Rhyth on the eyes while Buchinyan continued to attack the brothers. "Do you think you can help them out?"

"Of course!" Rhyth nodded and reached out to Buchinyan and Noway, covering them with a small green light that faded almost as quickly as it appeared. "A little bit of healing never hurt anyone, right?"

"Maybe a little bit more." Twilight tapped Soultimate and smiled down at Rhyth. "You sure you don't mind a Soultimate?"

"It's no problem, Twilight. You and your friends need it after what they did." Rhyth returned the smile and took in energy herself. It was a short charge up, and she burst the power back out shortly after. "SEAWEED SAMBA!" She performed a rhythmic samba and covered the stage in a radiant green glow that floated down onto her, Buchinyan, and Noway.

"GRRR! GRRRAGGH! I'VE HAD ENOUGH!" String Puppet screamed and fired strings down onto Rhyth, Buchinyan, and Noway, hooking onto all of them and casting purple inspiriting flames on all of them. He yanked them towards him and flipped onto his back, bearing his scissor-wings to them. "String Cut!" He cut all three Yo-kai in half with a single strike and turned them into blue fires, immediately bringing out Roughraff, Pandle, and Blazion.

"Roughraff, it's time we end this." Twilight hit the button once more, allowing Roughraff to take in energy for his Soultimate. "Use Stare Down and bring the brothers to their knees."

"You got it!" Roughraff leapt up and cast a glare at the brothers, not only damaging them, but casting inspiriting flames on them as well.

"Now it's my turn!" Pandle dashed forward towards the inspirited brothers and bore his toothpick at the three of them, jabbing them as fast as he could. "POINTY TOOTHPICK!" The blows came incredibly fast, and the brothers were brough down to their knees as they took every single jab.

"ENOUGH OF THIS NONSENSE! IT IS TIME FOR THE GRAND FINALE!" Mind Puppet began to take in energy, just like the other Yo-kai had done before.

"I couldn't have said it better myself! Let's show Twilight Sparkle what real power is!" Sock Puppet also gathered energy for his strongest attack.

"In the end, EVERYONE is a puppet, dancing on the strings of a stronger force." String Puppet joined his brothers in the energy feast. "We dance on the strings of the king, while you dance on the strings of the Magic of Friendship. Allow us to cut them, and let you be freed of your burdens!"

"ULTIMATE PUPPET SHOW!" The Puppet Brothers raised their hands up high, spawning hundreds of sock puppets and marionettes, as well as a giant swinging clock. They dashed forward, bringing their arms down, causing the puppets to bombard Twilight and her team of Yo-kai, while the watch fired down a purple tornado. Their crowd also helped, charging in with the swarm of string and sock puppets, striking the Yo-kai with lethal precision and accuracy.

Twilight and her team were able to dodge one half of the attack, but every other attack connected, leaving both her and her Yo-kai at the brink of death. The blows came one after the other, and there was no escape for them once they managed to hit. The watch also inspirited her team, leaving purple inspiriting flames dancing around them.

"This can't be the end." Twilight slowly wobbled onto her feet and faced the Puppet Brothers once more. She looked down at the watch and heard a bizarre noise hit her ears. "What the..." She looked up and saw a blue ball of fire dancing around the brothers. "Why do I get the feeling that I can pop that?"

Twilight brought the aiming reticle back, aimed it at the blue wisp and shot it with the pin. She watched the ball pop and cast down white lights on her Yo-kai team, immediately purifying them of the inspirits that the Puppet Brothers had left on them. They're purified? Interesting... So those blue balls can clean them? I'd better remember that for next time.

"One more push, everyone! Twilight shouted, running towards the Puppet Brothers with her Yo-kai close behind her. "We can do this! We just have to keep fighting!"

"Your arrogance is futile!" String Puppet raised his claws. "I shall see that you are personally—" before he could even finish his sentence, Twilight, Roughraff, Pandle, and Blazion struck him together before they cast their gazes at Sock Puppet.

"For the hope of the future, for our fallen Yo-kai comrades, and for the students of Canterlot High and ponies of Equestria, it's time that we finish this once and for all!" Twilight held her arms out and coated her Yo-kai in rainbow-light, immediately causing the Soultimate button on her Yo-kai Watch EX to glow brightly. "It's time that you pay for your actions, Puppet Brothers!"

"POINTY TOOTHPICK!" Pandle began jabbing the brothers once more with his toothpick.

"STARE DOWN!" Roughraff cast a glare on them all again.

"BLAZING FIST!" Blazion somersaulted towards Mind Puppet and punched him directly into Sock and String.

The Puppet Brothers were hit with the fist first, crashing down on top of each other together. They looked out and saw Roughraff using Stare Down on them all, causing the purple fires around them to get even hotter. Then, with a series of rapid jabs from Pandle, they all reached their arms up high and collapsed on the floor, sprawling their arms and legs down in defeat.

"Uggh..." String Puppet looked up at Twilight as he started to expel purple mist. "Looks like... we were the ones getting our strings cut today."

"Impossible. The Puppet Brothers... cannot be defeated!" Mind Puppet reached out for Twilight but instead grabbed the ground as his arm got heavy. "I will not sit idly by... and let the king's wishes go unfulfilled. I... will follow him until... the bitter end!"

"It's over, brothers." Twilight stepped towards them and looked them in the eyes with her eyebrows lowered and her arms crossed. "You invaded the human world, caused chaos on a massive scale, and stole away all of my friends. You have no right to exist given the atrocities you commited."

"Twilight. You... may have defeated us, but there are still... powerful Boss Yo-kai out there that will eat your flesh and drink your blood." Sock Puppet gave her a sadistic smile. "And let me assure you... they will end you and your miserable friends' lives once and for all. All... in the name... of our almighty leader."

"OCTO SNAKE!"

"INFERNO!"

A massive ball of flame enveloped the Puppet Brothers while a swarm of cyan dragons began biting down hard on their backs, causing the purple mist to spread out even further as cracks formed on their body. The three of them screamed as the attacks came down hard on them as they vanished.

"GLORY TO KING VOID! MAY HIS EVERLASTING DARKNESS EMBRACE AND INSPIRE US ALL!" The Puppet Brothers screamed as they vanished in a massive explosion of flames and purple smoke.

As soon as the Puppet Brothers disappeared, the Canterlot High students were covered in the purple smoke and turned back to normal, looking around and raising their eyebrows at where they were and what they had been doing. Some of them even laid on the stage, having blacked out due to everything that had happened.

"Who helped us?" Twilight looked through the crowd and aimed her Yo-kai Watch EX at the two Yo-kai standing behind the crowd. Despite being only a D rank watch, she could still perfectly see Venoct and Kyubi standing there looking at her.

"Twilight Sparkle." Venoct slowly hovered towards Twilight. "You had our curiosity before, but now you have our attention."

"We had been following rumours of this king for months on end after he attacked our home, but we thought that any non-Yo-kai would have been devoured by his wrath—even if they had powers beyond compare." Kyubi stepped forward and coiled her claws around Twilight's shoulders. "Thanks to you, we have some slight understanding on our enemy. The name. King Void."

"King Void?" Twilight raised a brow as she looked at Venoct and Kyubi.

"His actions are leaving the Yo-kai World in tatters, and our queen expressed great worry that that very same destruction and despair would lead to both the human world and Equestria." Venoct nodded. "As such, she sent us out to scout out the humans and ponies of each world, and find a chosen one that would defend all of the worlds form his malice."

"We watched many of the strongest and wisest ponies and humans the second the gateways were open to both of these worlds, and despite what we found, none of them were the chosen one," Kyubi said. "But then there's you, Twilight. You have the Yo-kai Watch, and you have just fended off three Boss Yo-kai at once. That in itself is an admirable feat for sure."

"However, despite this, you are not really the chosen one yet." Venoct shook his head.

"What? Why not?" Twilight asked.

"Our queen's chosen one is one that is pure of heart, cannot be swayed by darkness and its power, one who has faced some of the hardest challenges in their lives, and can truly reach out to the Yo-kai species," said Kyubi. "You may have defeated Felycan and the Puppet Brothers, but as it stands, the darkness within your heart is still quite strong, and you will need to be complete in order to face him."

"Well how do I become pure?" Twilight stepped forward. "And what's this about destruction in the Yo-kai World. And why is there a queen that's good and king that's evil. I need to know!"

"Patience, Twilight." Venoct covered Twilight's mouth with his own. "All in good time. Right now, you only just know about King Void. Only when you see his power for what it truly is, and when you see what forces he command, will you have to learn to adapt and prepare for the fight against him."

"We must return now, for our queen needs us." Kyubi turned away from Twilight, revealing her nine golden tails to her. "But we will be watching you closely, Twilight Sparkle. You have courage. Just like a certain boy we used to know."

"Wait! Who are you?" Twilight reached out for Venoct and Kyubi as they started to walk away from her. "Just let me know your names!"

"Our names are unimportant. You will remember us for how we look." Venoct bowed and disappeared in a puff of smoke.

"We will meet again, Twilight Sparkle." Kyubi gave her a bow as well before vanishing as well.

"Twilight!" The Rainbooms all called out and ran over to her, giving her a group hug while she was still deep in thought.

"King Void. Who is he? And what does he have against Equestria, this world, and the Yo-kai World?" Twilight asked as she looked up to the roof of the tent as her friends hugged her even tighter. "Something tells me that things are only going to get worse from here on out..."

In a dark-purple throne room, a shadowy figure sat on a throne, looking down at two other subjects before them. They wielded a sword as they stood up and circled around the two other Yo-kai kneeling down before him.

"King Void. How can we help you?" The first one spoke in a female elderly voice as she looked up at him.

"Yes, my king. How might we be of assistance?" The second one, who also sounded like a female elder looked up at the king.

"You two were associated with one of the most evil Yo-kai ever created." King Void spoke in a deep and distorted voice, stretching his claws out to the two old ladies. "With not only the ability to command time itself, but to re-alter it for your own evil intentions."

"Yes?" They both chorused together.

"My Dark Yo-kai could really use the power to travel through time and cause chaos, distorting the timeline and bringing chaos to that pitiful little pony that dares to hamper my feast." King Void made a claw out of his free hand. "You associated yourself with the Wicked Yo-kai before, but they are nothing more than flimsy puppets compared to my loyal Dark Yo-kai."

"Dark Yo-kai?" The first old lady asked.

"Devoid of their past selves and with only the tendency to hurt, kill, and destroy, Dark Yo-kai will ensure that chaos will befall Equestria, the human world, and Yo-kai World." King Void clicked his fingers, creating a copy of Roughraff that was entirely purple and black, with glowing red eyes. "These Yo-kai will destroy everything that I command them to, and will ultimately bring me success. Do you wish to wield such power, or do you want to join your old leader in death?"

"Wield, definitely!" They both said together.

"Then rise to your feet." King Void walked forward towards the two Yo-kai, gently lowering his sword and tapping their shoulders with it. "Kin and Gin. From this point on, you will be subservient to me and me alone. You shall follow my orders without question, and erase any hinderances to my plans. Commanding the Dark Yo-kai, you shall go beyond your original power, and see a future ruled by me and me alone."

"Yes, my king." Kin and Gin both bowed before King Void.

"Good. Then I have your first assignment ready." King Void opened a black portal beside him. "Go. And remember: Darkness is your friend. Light is your enemy."

"Yes, my king." Kin and Gin floated upwards and flew through the portal together, cackling maniacally as it closed up behind them.
