This is entirely a remake of the original Elements Awaken fic, I think I can do better than what I had done before. Anyways...
Its the beginning of a new school year, and everything seems to be okay. But everything isn't okay, for the Dazzlings have come back and are planning their revenge against the Rainbooms. But little do they know for a disabled, ex-Shadowbolt with a dark past and a major hatred for Crystal Prep is attending Canterlot High. And something is incredibly off with the teen with the green skin and the metallic bat ears...
Warning: Some continuity from this fic is ignored and put away for better storytelling and for making a better OC in the current sequel that's still going on sequel..

Chapter 1: Unfriendly Warning
Fear.... Fear is the entity that lives in all of us. Everyone has something to fear, and everyone has something to fear from their past.... And little do they know, that one way or another... the fear of the past can make their way to the present....
It had been several months after the events of the Friendship Games. All of the Shadowbolts were well aware of what had happened that day. Their greed and desire for wanting to win the games, had almost gotten all of them killed. Twilight was consumed by the magic, and the magic turned her into a she-demon nicknamed Midnight Twilight. She wanted the magic of Equestria, but she kept on destroying parts of her own world to get it. And now that she's attending Canterlot High-school, Principal Abacus Cinch could do no damage to Twilight after she tried to get Principal Celestia to forfeit after an event that SHE helped start.
But as for the Shadow Five, life goes on. The Shadow Five have kept on doing what they normally do, but they still knew about the magic that came into the world. But as for the rest, they would never let it go. But for the five of them, danger would soon be entering their own lives...
Indigo Zap was driving her car late at night in the small town that everyone at Canterlot High School would hang out at, as a small drive. But something caught her attention. She caught sight of someone just walking in the darkness across the street. She decided to try the whole "Friendship" idea, and see if he needed help.
"Hey!" "Hey!" yelled Indigo Zap. "You need a hand?"
The figure just stood still for a second, and turned to face her with a dark and grim expression. He had on black boots, short black leggings, with a green waistcoat except without the obvious coat arms wrapped around the front, and his belt had a bio-hazard symbol with a few sparkles surrounding on it. He also was wearing a black tank top, a black finger-less glove on his right hand, and on his left hand he had a prosthetic arm. The last features this mysterious teenager seem to have was a black eye patch, with a yellow menacing eye, and synthetic pointy bat ears.
"Hey, wait a minute... Toxigo? What are you doing out here?"
The teenager didn't say a word, he just stared straight on as if he was looking into her soul. And Indigo noticed something else, she looked to see an equine like amulet around his neck, presumably a family jewel, but she didn't focus on it.
"Um... Tox? Are you okay? You're not still mad at me for what I did to you, are you?"
His expression stayed grim and threatening as he remembered everything else about the last couple of times he encountered her. "What are you doing out here Shadowbolt? Shouldn't you be blackmailing other students into releasing a power that they cannot control just to win a stupid game?"
Indigo understood what he meant, but nether less, she still wanted to try and talk to him. "Well, dude, come on, that's behind us. The Friendship Games are long over, you shouldn't be getting mad over it."
"And just why shouldn't I? Do you not realize how many lives you Shadowbolts endangered because of that blackmail stunt? Do you not have intelligence in that thick skull of yours? Do you not care for human safety? Do you want to die early?" He then pointed his walking stick at her in anger.
"You all are horrible people! You know the entire time at the game I was rooting for Canterlot High School!? They're a better high school than the sorry excuse for a school, that is CPA. And below of that, I tried to make friends with you guys, and all you cared for was winning a stupid game that you thought you should be gloating about. Guess what!? They get it! You won again! BIG DEAL! In fact, these games were never about competition, they were supposed to be about our schools getting to know each other and socialize. But no, you all had your minds and brains onto just winning to prove that you're better... like all CPA students believe...."
Indigo was now terrified of him. She understood he wasn't happy to see another classmate, especially one who did something incredibly stupid. "But, Toxigo. Come on, that's over now."
Toxigo was now enraged at this. Then out of nowhere, Indigo was forced right towards him like if gravity was forcing her right at him. She was then hovering in the air face to face at Toxigo's one functioning eye, terrified
"Wait how is this possible!? How am I floating!? Uh... You're not gonna... k-kill me, like I almost did to you before.... A-A-Are you?" Indigo asked nervously. Sweat ran down her face waiting for an answer. Tox did give an answer, along with the menacing look of death from his yellow demonic eye.
"Nothing is over Indigo. I'm an ex-Shadowbolt now. And if you thought you could get me back with bribery or blackmail? Guess what, no more. I've had it with you all. All of you are horrible, I hope you die in a fiery meltdown, and you will pay for all the abuse and torment you've done. Cause guess what, you're not getting off the hook so easy of what you did to Twilight. And you also aren't getting off the hook for everything you've done to me. Remember Sour Sweet pushed me down, and then you ran me over with that infernal car? And then you tried to shrug it off like you didn't even see me? Guess what?" He leaned in closer to whisper to her face, and she was terrified to face the one eyed teenager. "My arm, your car."
He then let Indigo back down, and then out of nowhere, making several arm movements, and with one eye glowing and his amulet beaming with light, he launched a fireball towards the car Indigo was driving, and it exploded. Parts scattered everywhere, and the entire car was in flames. Indigo looked in horror as a car she didn't own was now totaled. She was about to protest, but then she saw him walking away.
"Hey! You're gonna have to pay for this!" Indigo yelled.
Toxigo looked back at her still not happy. "Guess what? Its magic, you can't explain it. How are you going to explain to the fire department, or the cops about magic? Abacus Cinch got off scot-free for something like this. And now, I am too. Goodbye Shadowbolt. May you all suffer and burn to the ground."
But as he was walking away, a tear ran down his face in anger and sadness. So he then started running down the sidewalk path trying to hide his emotions from everyone, as well as get as far away from the area of possibly being put under arrest as quick as possible.
He ran right past another house whose light was still on because, well it was 11:30. And as he ran right past it, the door opened up peaking out the same old Pinkie Pie. She thought she'd heard something, but she just shrugged it off and closed the door again.
"There was no one out there. Although I swore I heard someone feeling down."
"Well maybe you were hearing things again Pinkie. Besides, who would be out at this time of night?" replied Rainbow Dash.
"Santa Claus? Hobos? A green guy with a prosthetic arm who came from Crystal Prep Academy now moving into Canterlot High after blowing a car that belonged to the Academy and who saw everything that happened at the Friendship Games and is bent on getting back at everyone at Crystal Prep for what they did to Twilight and for everything they did to him but knows he needs to hide a secret that he's actually from another world where he has elemental powers?" She gave a smile after that, but everyone gave questioning looks.
"Should I?" asked Twilight.
"Its Pinkie Pie, don't question it." replied Rainbow Dash.
"Oh, okay", replied Twilight.
After that weird event, everyone went back to sleep. Back with the disabled teenager he kept on walking and went into his new home. It didn't have much but that was because the movers still needed to do the unloading of his things. So he looked around at his things and remembered all the bad memories that had happened. All of them were either too painful, or too awful for him to think about, but they stayed and carried with him over to present day time. But he decided no more, he wasn't going back to that horrible school now. He was gonna start a new life at Canterlot High, and no one could stop him. Toxigo then turned into the distance watching the smoke from the explosion into the sky.
"If you ever come back, Shadow Five, I'm gonna do much more than just attack you..." Tox said while a yellow eye illuminated in the darkness of his home.
Chapter 2: New Day At Canterlot High
September 1st, 2015. 8:30 AM.
A new day at Canterlot High had begun, the sun was shining, the cars were out, and everyone was excited and thrilled as a new event was coming up. Normally they wouldn't be excited since it was a new year of school, but because of all the events that had happened over at Canterlot High over the few years, school had been very exciting.
The first thing that would be happening for this year, was that all of CHS were helping setting up a party for new students and parents, and it was in a few weeks and it still needed everything to be set up, but it was no worry for any of the students. And in this high school, the now Human Seven have been up to the task of keeping an eye out for more magic to come. Right now, the group was hanging out in the music room where they were often at, discussing their plans for setting up this new event.
"Okay so we know Pinkie's gonna help set up the decor, and Rarity's gonna get Big Mac and two others to help with some of the music entertainment, what else do we have?" Sunset asked.
"Well we've already got the fliers up for the party. I'm sure everyone's coming." replied Fluttershy.
"This party's gonna be awesome! Better than the Fall Formal! Uh... no offense." said Rainbow Dash remembering what happened at that event.
Sunset merely sighed and said "None taken. Again."
"Even if the party will be great, does anyone else wonder if we'll face some old enemies again? I'd hate to run into the Dazzlings." Applejack asked.
"I don't know. Considering what we've dealt with so far, it won't be long until another supernatural enemy from Equestria comes here to try and take over again." Rainbow replied.
But while they were talking, Sci-Twi was finishing up fixing her spectrometer. Unlike before where it was used to detect and steal magic, this time around it was only used to be tracking the magic rather than stealing it. She finally got it done, and then met the others in the music room. "Hey guys, finally got the spectrometer finished, now we can simply track magic rather than steal it."
"Well that's good to hear, glad it won't be taking the magic right out of us." replied Sunset.
"Well after all of the mess we went through in the Friendship Games, I'd made sure that would never be the case again." Twilight responded.
Their old friend Flash Sentry then entered the room to check in. "Hey guys, glad to see you're doing alright. How's the magic detector coming?"
"Its finished, so now we can track the magic without stealing it. I wouldn't want... Well, you know..."
"No I understand." Flash responded.
Flash knew it all too well about what Twilight meant. He remembered her transformation into the raging she-demon. He had never been more scared of her in his life. But after finding out that it was Crystal Prep's doing, he still cringed when learning that information. "Oh before I forget, you know a new student's coming to here at Canterlot High. He just moved into the neighborhood." said Flash.
"Oh no, I forgot I was supposed to show him around. But what with there's the welcoming party and...."
"Sunset, you go show the new guy around, I'll stay here and help." Flash replied.
"Oh can you?" asked Sunset.
"I'd be glad too." Flash answered.
"Thanks Flash. I appreciate it." Flash gave a smile back, and Sunset headed out to the front to welcome their new student.
Meanwhile outside....
"They really need to fix that statue."
Tox stood, looking at the remains of the Wondercolt statue, with an added addition to his clothes, a black arm stocking to cover up his prosthetic limb, (however the clearly robotic fingers were showing). He cringed after remembering what happened that day. But he remembered that he was starting a new life. Away from the selfish and hurtful Shadowbolts, so he could open up about anything at the school.
"At least I got you." Tox looked at the golden equine amulet around his neck, and the looked back towards the school. And then, he took a deep breath and relaxed.
"Keep it together Tox. You'll be okay. Just don't think about Crystal Prep, think about what CHS has to offer. It probably offers more than what Crystal Prep had. Especially considering the... magic. Right."
He entered into the school, and stood near the entrance. After finding no one around, he put his backpack down on the ground, leaning against the wall. And just to keep himself calm, he started up some old music from his music player, and hit play. That got him calm down about going to a new school. So as he clapped and hummed along with the beat, and he started to dance for a bit as he enjoyed the tune of the beat. He leaped, and jumped, spun around, pretty much just enjoyed the beat and even sang along.****

Little bitty pretty one...
come on and talk to me
lovey dovey lovey one
come sit down on my knee...
He then stopped dancing around after hearing someone's footsteps down the hall. Following which he stood still and waited for that someone to come on down. Then he saw a girl with orange skin and red and yellow hair walking in.
"Hi, are you the new student I'm supposed to show around?" asked Sunset.
Toxgio stood silent for a bit as he was afraid of what to say. Sunset could tell from his look from him that he was shy, but another emotion was running through his head. For he was locked onto a hypnotizing trance. Sunset Shimmer was the most beautiful girl he had ever set his one working eye on. The way the hair flows on her back like sizzling bacon, the most sweet smile on her face, and those eyes. Those, sweet, teal eyes....
"Hey, you okay?" She asked.
Toxigo snapped out of the trance, and just nodded for a bit and didn't say a word, and put his fingerless glove covered hand on his prosthetic arm in fear. But luckily Sunset wasn't judging.
"Hey, you don't have to be afraid. Everyone's shy on their first day" said Sunset. "I should probably introduce myself first. I'm Sunset Shimmer. I'll be your tour guide for the day. What's your name?"
Toxigo stayed silent again, looked away with his one eye. The sight of Sunset Shimmer was just ravishing. but finally got the courage to speak to her.
"Tox-- Toxigo. My name's.... Toxigo." he replied sheepishly. Sunset then gave a friendly smile to him to welcome him. But soon her senses finally caught up to her eyes. There was something strange about him. For one, she looked closer at the arm stocking, and could see the fingers were clearly metallic. And the ears looked like they had been made from a secret government laboratory.
"Hey uh, if you don't mind my asking, I apologize for staring at you, but I couldn't help but notice your hand? And the ears?" she asked.
"Oh, that, um. Lost my ears in an accident and they only way to be able to hear again was for these things to be installed. But I rather not talk about that. Bad, bad memories. And as for the arm, I'll explain that later."
Sunset replied after with, "Well that's okay. That's understandable. Anyways, you're gonna love it here. Canterlot High is a great school. Ready to start the tour?"
"Um, sure. Yeah. I've heard good things about this place. Lead the way."
The two of them then proceeded to walk down the hallways of Canterlot High.
Author's Notes:
Chapter 3: Former Shadowbolt
Sunset Shimmer had started to show Toxigo around Canterlot High, showing what it has to offer. And Toxigo was very impressed to see what they had, but he still stayed silent for most of the time.
"Science Lab's down there, computer lab is on your left, and also right here coming up is the music room."
As the two of them moved along, Toxigo was looking at all of the rooms that the school had to offer, and he was very impressed. They were all better than what Crystal Prep had to offer, and plus he stepped into the school for only a few minutes and no one was being mean to him. Not to mention Sunset Shimmer.... She was beautiful... and that face, the sweet, innocent face... how can anyone not love a face like hers.... But he stopped when something caught his dark and grim eye. He stopped in front of a display case with pictures of the competitor groups from the Friendship Games last year. He couldn't help but snarl at the sight of old memories that were constant reminders of what he hated. Sunset eventually stopped after she noticed he wasn't moving, and she walked back to see him looking at the display case
"Oh, I see you're looking at some of our old photos from the Friendship Games last year. That was... very interesting to say the least. "
Toxigo was once again silent like he normally was, and continued staring on at the Shadowbolts photos. Sunset didn't hear a response from him, and she started to get a little worried.
"Are you okay? You've been staring at the display case for a long time and I'm starting to get worried." asked Sunset.
Toxigo decided that he couldn't hide what he felt about them. Since now that he's going to Canterlot High School, he could tell them how he felt about Crystal Prep Academy and badmouth everything about them since he had a major hatred. He already knew how much Canterlot hated Crystal Prep, and maybe for once there would be some people who would take his side.
"Let me ask you something. What do you know about the Shadowbolts?"
"Well I know that they're our biggest rivals who beat us at everything. And some... other things."
"Would those other things be that they have the audacity to accuse Canterlot of cheating in a game when everyone was attacked, resulting in them going and blackmailing their top student into releasing a power she had no control of?" Tox turned to face Sunset while raising one brow looking very pissed off.
"Um..."
"Don't shrug it off, Shimmer-cakes. I know this happened, all of Crystal Prep and Canterlot knows this happened. But here's something else I must ask. How much, do you know about the Shadowbolts?"
Tox had stepped a little closer to Sunset, with one eye glowing with anger.
"Well... not a whole lot actually."
"Well let me tell you something. You questioned my entire appearance at the front doorway, well... that's because of the Shadowbolts. They did this... to me."
Sunset took in consideration of what he said, and thought came into her mind.
"Hold on, are you--"
"I'm an ex-Shadowbolt. I used to go to Crystal Prep Academy, but I dropped out because of, everything they did. The Friendship Games, the students, and even Principal Abacus Cinch. And what they did was...." Tox's fists were clenching white, and his teeth were grinding, only for him to breathe in and out, "Forget it. You don't need to hear my side."
"No, what happened?"
"Sunset, no one ever shows they have any concern for my well being so why should I bother you?"
"You aren't bothering me. Its okay." Sunset placed a hand on his shoulder, but then quickly retracted and blushed.
"Alright, I'll tell you. But, its not very, pretty....The Shadowbolts, are lethal. They're psychotics. They're homicidal maniacs. They didn't care for any of their own safety regarding the games, or any of yours, or mine, and their cruelty, landed me as a broken, disabled, freak. Ever since the Friendship Games, they've been becoming insane, wanting revenge, wanting to use that magic to attack all of you as their own form of personal revenge."
Sunset then listened in on his story, wanting to know what exactly made him leave.
"Well if you're from Crystal Prep, how come you're coming here? Usually those who go to Crystal Prep are--"
"Obnoxious, whiny, little jerks who only care about winning and nothing about what happens when you push someone too far into unleashing a supernatural power they never seen before?" Tox finished. "That's where my story comes in..."
"Well why did you go to Crystal Prep to begin with?" Sunset asked stopping partway in the hallway.
"When I came to Crystal Prep, I hoped I could one day I could make a difference in this world. Like maybe work as a military solider or a police officer. But all that school did was make me hate my life, stay away from people, go into isolation, and lose my faith in everything. And from that school, I hated EVERYTHING!"
Sunset was now getting a little worried. The tone in his voice sounded like he'd been holding in all of this anger for a long time and was about to unleash it.
"I hated Principal Cinch...I hated my classmates....I even hated myself! And what's worse is all of the horrible things, they did to me. When Twilight transformed into that raging she-demon, I had no idea we were going too far! It was from that attack and terrorization, I had realized all of us were making huge mistakes. Our own minds were becoming insane, and all out of wanting petty revenge. But... not everyone saw the light. Because I was the only one that wanted to right my wrongs, they would torture me nonstop, And worse... they... went too far."
"How far do you mean?" Sunset asked.
"This supposed 'bipolar' chick named Sour Sweet, got me into an accident that resulted in me losing my ears and I had to get these synthetic replacements" Tox said sounding like hyperventaliating, but then stopped to take a deep breath and calm down.
He then turned his head to the side showing one of them, and Sunset could see the top part move up and down, and a small antenna extend from the top.
"Needless to say, they've actually improved my hearing. And she, along with those other girls that competed in the Friendship Games blackmailed me into not telling anyone about it, because they knew that I was an orphan, and if Cinch found out that I was an orphan living underage in a house by myself, I would get kicked out of CPA."
"I don't see the logic in that, but go on" said Sunset.
"But... there's more. Indigo, is the reason, I have this." Toxigo proceeded to pull off his black arm stocking, which revealed the synthetic limb, which made Sunset gasp and placed her hands on her face.
"She ran over my arm with her car, and she pulled the same blackmail stunt...." And out of nowhere he slammed his fist right against the side of the wall, luckily no damage or dent was forged into it.
"But the last straw that had been done, was by a rocker student like you, his name's Neon Lights... During shop class, he wasn't careful with the working drill and he forced the drill bit while it was spinning right into my eye."
Tox then placed his synthetic hand over the eyepatch on the side of his face, and Sunset could see a tear come down his only existing one.
"He took away, one of the only things I value most of myself... and he didn't even care... and after several operations, it couldn't be fixed. So this eye patch was all that could be done. But it still kills me...how... none of them care what they did!" He paused at this as he had a hard time getting this out.
And... I... Ugh, part of me wishes they all burned in the gates of Tartarus, and suffered in a fiery meltdown, and part of me wishes that the she-demon of Twilight zapped me with that magic so I didn't exist anymore!" Toxigo finally had let out of the frustration, sadness, and emotion he'd been keeping in for all of these years. He then dropped to the floor, in tears from one eye, and Sunset moved over and held him in a hug.
"Oh Tox... I'm so sorry... I didn't know Crystal Prep could do things like that."
Around the corner, Fluttershy came round and saw Sunset comforting the new student.
"You okay? What's wrong?." said Fluttershy.
"Our new student's an ex-Shadowbolt. Apparently they did some horrible things to him and I guess all the pent and rage just finally came out after seeing the pictures from the Friendship Games last year." Sunset replied.
"Are you sure you're okay?" asked Fluttershy.
"No... I'm not..." Tox then faced Sunset with a bloodshot eye. "I'm sorry Sunset... I... I shouldn't have yelled at you. You didn't deserve that..." Toxigo said still in tears.
"Its okay. Just tell us how you feel." Sunset answered.
"Alright..." Toxigo explained.
Luckily with Fluttershy and Sunset around he was okay. He explained to them everything that the Shadowbolts had done to him, and they listened to everything. They understood why he was in the condition that he looked like, she understood his utter hatred for Crystal Prep, and the all of the emotional, mental, and physical pain he was in. But he didn't tell Fluttershy or Flash about how exactly he blew up Indigo's car due to not wanting to give himself away, but Fluttershy stayed around to offer him, her kindness.
"Its okay, you don't have to worry any of Crystal Prep anymore. You're here at Canterlot High, and we don't do those things. All we give is the kindness of friendship." said Fluttershy. Toxigo felt much better knowing that the school he was at wouldn't be trying to hurt him.
"Thanks, Fluttershy. But wait, we only just met, how come you're being nice to me?" he asked.
"Sometimes we just have to show a little kindness." And from that very line, a burst of yellow glowing energy shined from her body, and she floated in the air, spawning pony ears, wings, and a lustrous long ponytail. Toxigo just stayed on the stairs watching as she went through the pony up, and then once she landed back on her feet, he stared at the strange magical occurance with both amazement and confusion.
"Well, that happened. But, its magic. I'm not gonna question it. I already questioned Cinch's logic at the Friendship Games, and from everything I've seen from you girls, its just magic."
Tox then took a quick look at his watch and noticed the time.
"Well, I better get going to class. And I'll go see the rest of Canterlot High. Thanks for listening to me, and thanks for not hurting me the minute I came in the school." Toxigo said thanking Fluttershy and Sunset.
"Its not a problem at all, if you have any problem just talk to me." Sunset replied with a smile.
Sunset and Fluttershy walked off into the hallways leaving Toxigo pondering what had happened.
"She ponied up, but how? There is magic here but just how did that happen? I'll find that out later, best they not know what I am. Cause if they knew, Ooh... Well, at least they didn't pick up on this thing." Tox then stared down at his golden equine amulet again, and looked back ahead again just staring into the hallway where some of the students were hanging out in. Toxigo then left the hallway into another, also jamming out to his music that he played without a headset. Luckily the entire school was in its break session, so he could jam out. He pulled through his playlists and hit Long Tall Sally by Little Richard, and just danced around in freedom. Far from the 'prestigious' hell that lived in the form, of Crystal Prep Academy.
Chapter 4: Fire Outbreak/Element of Kindness
12:00: Lunchtime
Fluttershy and Sunset Shimmer briskly walked their way over to the lunchroom to eat, but their minds were still boggled that the students of Crystal Prep would be that sadistic. They knew they were mean but they didn't know they would be that sadistic. But maybe the guy could be exaggerating, but as for the sadistic actions, they would have to ask Twilight about it.
"I can't believe Crystal Prep would do such things to him." Fluttershy was less than horrified.
"Neither can I. But honestly, I think he's exaggerating a bit. Don't get me wrong, I can believe they hurt him, but I don't think they'd go that far to hurt him." Sunset replied. "But if they can hurt Coppermane that much, then I suppose the same can be said for him."
So they entered the lunchroom and met up Rarity, Pinkie, Rainbow, Applejack, and the human Twilight all sitting at the table.
"Hey Sunset. How was the tour for the new student?" Twilight asked.
"Well it was... interesting to say the least." Sunset hesitantly said.
"Interesting good, or interesting bad?" Twilight asked.
"Well, for starters, our new classmate is a former student of Crystal Prep."
The girls except for Twilight groaned after hearing that. While they all worked together during the reign of Midnight Sparkle, they were still nasty as ever, the attack barely even fazed them to make a bit of sympathy towards CHS. Well, almost all of them...
"Great, so I guess he came here and started being an asshole, didn't he?" Rainbow complained.
"Actually no, he came here to get away from Crystal Prep." Fluttershy replied.
"But why would anyone want to leave Crystal Prep? Isn't it in their own opinion, the best school that exists?" Rarity asked.
"Its not his opinion though. He came here, because he's suffered years of abuse and hatred from them. But here's what else he told me..."
Sunset explained everything the former Bolt had told her, and the girls were appalled at what they heard. The couldn't believe the students at Crystal Prep had the audacity to commit actions almost worthy of murder. She almost mentioned the names of some of the students that had hurt them, which gave Twilight a major surprise to hear that some of the girls she competed against, the same ones who pressured her into unleashing the magic, were the same ones who nearly killed the student.
"You're kidding..." Applejack couldn't believe what she heard.
"I'm dead serious."
"My word... I can't believe they would do such a thing." Rarity snared.
"Twilight, did they do anything like that when you were attending CPA?" Sunset asked.
"No, they didn't. The closest I got was intentional bumps to the shoulders, and people ignoring me. But...nothing like this." Twilight was shocked beyond all belief.
"But here's the other thing, when I saw him, he had this metal...thing. It looked like his entire left arm was just like a robot. Like ones from those science fiction movies."
"You mean a prosthetic limb?" Twilight asked.
"Yeah, that. But he had those for his ears as well as an eyepatch. Just based on the look alone he sounds like he's had a rough time in his life."
"Well he's far away from them now!" Pinkie smiled. "No one can hurt him here."
"Pinkie's right. The only thing he's gonna be endangered by would be if another entity from Equestria shows up." Applejack replied.
"Well, lets just hope we don't get endangered any time soon." Sunset replied.
At that moment, the bell rung, only it wasn't for the next period, it was the fire alarm. And suddenly, Micro Chips charged into the room covered in smoke.
"A chemical blew up in the science lab, we've got a fire!"
In a flash, all of the students began to make a run for it, and ran outside to the front of the school for evacuation. However, there were still students inside, and Applejack noticed.
"Wait, there are still people in there! We got to get them out!" Applejack tried to run in, but Rainbow pulled her back.
"We can't go in during the fire, I'm not gonna let you die!" Rainbow yelled.
At that moment. Tox got an idea. He began running inside the building and no one stopped him.
"Wait! What is he doing!? He's gonna get himself killed!" Sunset shouted.
But he was already inside and they couldn't stop him.
Toxigo ran inside the high school to attempt to get some people out of there. So he ran right past some of the lockers, and ran right up the stairs where the fire was coming from. There he could see inside one of the science rooms there was a fire, and it was spreading.
"Oh great... Okay, uh.. what to do, what to do..."
Tox then looked at the equine like amulet around his neck, and watched as it gleamed.
"Of course, stupid, STUPID, STUPID! "
A plan had been set into motion. Toxigo found some students worried and unsure of where to go during the fire, but he could get to them.
"Hey!"
That got the attention of some of the scared students.
"Over here! I've got a way to get you out!" The students then came over to where he is, and as the amulet glowed with a golden light shine, Toxigo omitted a beam of energy from a blue jewel in the palm of his mechanical hand, and the blast opened up a portal that showed the outside steps to the remains of the Wondercolt statue. In a fit of panic, everyone ran right through the portal without question, shocking everyone on the other side.
"What in tarnation!? Where did that portal come from!?" Applejack yelled.
"Some guy with green skin and an eye patch got the Great and Powerful Trixie out of the fire!" Trixie said beaming with pride.
Fluttershy knew who fit that description. "Wait, that's what the new student had. He had green skin and an eye patch."
"Yeah... yeah that's Tox!" Sunset exclaimed. "Wait, so he's the one who got you out?"
Trixie simply nodded at that with a smile. This was a little interesting...
Back inside, Toxigo kept searching for any other students around, and he came over to hearing a sound of a cry of pain. "Hang on, I'm coming!"
Turns out the cry was from Applebloom. She had attempted to escape from the fire but she had broken a bone in her foot. She managed to get as far away from the room as possible though. Luckily, Toxigo had found her.
"Hey, you okay?" Toxigo asked.
"No, I snapped a bone in my foot." She said, but then she looked up to see that the person who responded wasn't anyone she knew at Canterlot High.
"Wait, who are you?" Applebloom asked.
"I'm a new student. Name's Toxigo. Ex-Shadowbolt. Hang on, I'm gonna get you out." Toxigo said, reassuring her safety.
"Wait, if were one of the Shadowbolts, why are you helping me?" Applebloom asked.
"Well, sometimes we just have to show a little bit of kindness."
Then out of nowhere, suddenly Toxigo felt a bit of energy rising inside of his chest. Looking down he could see he was begininng to glow with green energy.
"Uh..."
Suddenly, a burst of green energy illuminated around his body making him float into the air. His ears transformed from being on his sides, to being on top of his head like horse/bat ears. Along with that, a long green ponytail came from the back his head and went down.
"Wow! You can pony up too?" Applebloom asked.
"I... uh... I have no idea what means and I have no idea why I just did that. But right now I'm more focused on getting us out of here before we burn to a crisp" Toxigo said not losing his focus.
So he lifted Applebloom up, and slowly walked out carrying her towards the portal. But something to his attention as he looked behind him and saw a vision of a girl with long orange hair, and she was dressed in punk like attire, and she was smiling evilly. But she suddenly left his vision, and even though he thought he saw her, he just made the assumption that it was really the smoke inhalation giving him strange visions.
So Toxigo got Applebloom out of the building, and over to her family members. Everyone was finally out of the building, but Toxigo didn't want the building to burn down, so he ran right back inside.
"Hey, come back! You're gonna die in there!" yelled Sunset.
But he was already in the building. He saw where the fire was coming from again, but it was going to be more of a challenge because the fire had spread.
"Aw come on! Oh wait what was I thinking, stupid! Stupid! Stupid!"
In a moment, the amulet illuminated again, this time teleporting away from that part of the fire closer to where it was coming from.
"Okay, now to put this thing out. Lets see... there has to be a fire extinguisher or something to put that out around here..."
He turned his head to the left, seeing a fire extinguisher mounted on the wall.
"Yes! Lets just pray there's enough in there!"
After pulling the pin, and aiming the hose, he held the trigger as long as possible so all of the fire was being extinguished, and he managed to get out of the room to put of the fires to the other areas that were quickly spreading, and in a few moments, the fire had been put out. So, then after that, he simply walked down the stairs moving through the smoke and over to the front with the others.
"The fire.." Tox then coughed hard from the smoke having getting close to his face. "Sorry. Heavy on the smoke. The fire is... is out!"
Everyone then cheered after hearing that. But as that went on, Applejack looked around for a second, and noticed Applebloom was missing, again. She knew that couldn't be right since she couldn't walk with one foot, but she also knew none of the students around would have the right mind to kidnap someone. Well, none that were enemies...
"Applebloom! Where'd ya go!?" Applejack yelled.
But then she looked and saw a paper taped onto the side of the Wondercolt statue with her emblem on it, and with her name that said Applejack. She then turned the paper around to see that it was actually a ransom note. It read, 'If you ever want to see your sister back alive and unharmed, you must open up the portal so we may be freed'. Signed-
"Sunset! The Dazzlings are back, they took Applebloom!" Applejack worried.
"What!? Wait, how did they get her!?" Rainbow Dash asked.
"I don't care how they got her, they have my sister, I don't want her harmed!"
Toxigo heard every word of this, and immediately sprung into action. He stepped onto the sidewalk and gave a quick look around.
"Hm... they couldn't have gone far... Lets see where you are by looking in your eyes.. shall we?"
Tox placed his hands on the wings of the amulet around his neck, and closed his eye, and in his head he got a vision of where Applebloom was being taken to. She was being dragged off by three girls in hoods, to a outside area of Camp Everfree.
"Locked...on."
The Mane Seven then saw Toxigo standing out in the middle of the street and questioned what he was doing. So they ran over to him and began interrogating him.
"Um, what are you doing?" Sunset asked.
"I have a lock on your sibling. I believe I can find your sister." Toxigo said as he was about to run off, but Applejack wasn't so sure.
"Wait, let us help!" Rainbow asked.
"I would, but I'm sure that would only put your sister in more harm than she already is." Tox snapped.
"How do I know you're being honest? We've only just met you, how do we know you're not the one who did it?" Applejack questioned.
"Applejack, he was inside the building when Applebloom was out here, and he got everyone out and put out the fire. I don't think he would be one behind this." Sunset said.
"Just tell some others, and get help. I promise to be back with your sister alive." Toxigo then raced on off, but ran back to grab his walking stick that he left lying on the Wondercolt statue.
"I forgot, I need this."
And Tox ran off again, leaving a worried Applejack and her friends scared and pondering over this extremely bizarre student.
Chapter 5: Toxigo Vs The Dazzlings
Applebloom was dragged and forced from the area by three figures in hoods. She couldn't see a thing under their hoods, and she couldn't identify them which made it worse. So the three then entered an area which was common in the suburban area outside of Canterlot, which was Camp Everfree, a famous camp for anyone in the town or city and is well known for many of the creatures that lived in there. But in this part of the woods, she was dragged into what looked like a campground that was empty, and she saw there were some tents set up, with the tenants being only the three hooded members. They tied Applebloom's hands behind a pole so she wouldn't escape, not that she would since her foot was broken, but they wanted to take extra precautions.
Applebloom struggled to try and escape, but sadly she couldn't. "Who are you, and what do you want with me!?" Applebloom said sounding scared out of her mind. The hooded members then took their hoods off, revealing underneath that it was Adagio Dazzle, Aria Blaze, and Sonata Dusk.
"Well we're the Dazzlings, I'm sure you remember us from the Battle of the Bands." Adagio responded. Applebloom was now more terrified than ever after seeing them.
"I thought you ran away after the battle." Applebloom asked questioning them.
"Well we did run, but we never left. But to answer your second question, you are our leverage. We would consider getting revenge on the Rainbooms, but it isn't worth losing something else that's of value. Now, here's the deal. The Rainbooms are gonna open that portal that resides in the statue if they want you back alive." Adagio explained.
Applebloom then struggled again to try and escape but sadly got nowhere near to even getting a little free.
"You're not going anywhere kid. You might as well just forget it, cause no one is coming to save you." Aria then said sounding grumpy as usual.
The three Dazzlings not saying anything else after that, went into their tents closing out for the night, but they kept the fire going so their leverage wouldn't get cold. Applebloom struggled hard but it was no use; she couldn't escape.
At that same time Toxigo was hidden in trees watching the entire thing. He had no idea who they were.
"Who are they... Ugh, it doesn't matter. Kidnapping is dangerous on any level."
Once he knew their motive for kidnapping, and he just had to get Applebloom out, but he wasn't sure as to how. He didn't want himself revealing vital information to the enemy, but he also didn't want to leave Applebloom alone with no way of someone finding her.
"I got to get her out of there... But how... Hm..."
And so with a bit of thinking, he got an idea.
"Hm... Maybe I can use my magic? But if they know?" Tox sighed just thinking. "Looks like its the only option I have."
Making a leap down from the trees, and landing on the ground into a bush, sadly on his back--
"OW!"
Tox got up, brushed off the thorns and leaves that were stuck on him, and started moving towards the camp.
The first move of action was that Toxigo stole a pot and bat from their tent that they had stored kitchen supplies so that they could get their attention. He then very loudly, walking around the camp in shadow, banged the pot with the bat really loudly attempting to get their attention.
"Hey you hooded creeps! We've got a dead body out here with your name on it! No really, there's a sign that says 'Woe is me and all others who are murdered by attractive ladies!' I suggest you go and take it!" Toxigo yelled.
Applebloom saw Toxigo, but all she saw was darkness covering him, then Toxigo ran off as the Dazzlings emerged from their tents.
"Who's making that noise, I swear I'm gonna rip their guts out." Aria said sounding grumpy as usual.
They looked around, and didn't see a thing. All they saw was tied up Applebloom, the burning fire to keep her warm, and their tents. But something caught their attention, they listened in on a very strange noise. The noise was of a bit of a whir. Like if energy was being beamed.
The Dazzlings looked around to find the mysterious noise, only for them to turn and see that Applebloom was now gone and freed.
"Oh great Adagio. You just let our only chance of escaping here, escape." Aria responded.
"Maybe if someone had tied up the ropes tight enough she wouldn't have escaped." Adagio said.
"Hey, I tied her up tight. The ropes are impossible to get out of." Sonata responded.
"Well if she escaped, She probably didn't go far. She can't go far with a broken foot." Adagio said with an evil grin.
"Well unless a friend came and freed her from the ropes, and knew that Sonata wouldn't be smart enough to tie her up, then yes, she can go far." Toxigo responded.
The three sirens turned around to see a dark figure which to them was unidentifiable but they could see Applebloom clearly now sitting on a log near the burning fire.
"Who are you?" Adagio asked.
"How about I explain who I am, in song..." Music was about to kick up, but then-
"No I'm just teasing you sirens. I'm not clever enough to come up with lyrics right now." Toxigo said laughing a bit.
However, his tone of laughing soon stopped, as he gave an evil grin facing the sirens. He emerged from the dark shadows looking at all of them with a devious smirk, which gave the former sirens a full look at his body.
"Who are you..." Adagio asked with anger.
"Oh who am I" Toxigo asked mockingly. "Well....that's actually a legitmate question. But, I'm not gonna say because you three are crazy for kidnapping this girl, and frankly I don't think trusting you is an option right now. And I... believe in magic...." Toxigo said sounding like he was going to kill them.
Tox shined with a green aura surrounding his body, along with the golden glow of the amulet, as he floated into the air looking at them maliciously. Suddenly, his ears transformed near the top of his head in the shape of pony ears, green wings spawned from his back, and the back of his hair grew long and lustrous floating all the way to his back. Then dramatic music rose up, and Toxigo began singing an ominous tune.
Freed, freed....
Free...Now lets make some....
I'm possessing magic, I'm possessing magic
I've possessed some magic, magic....
I possessed the magic, I own the magic, I control the magic
I believe... in magic....
The three sirens stood still in fear, but Adagio while showing fear secretly had a new plan in mind. She was aware Toxigo possessed magic, and she was going to think of a way they could get it from him. Little did she know, Toxigo was many steps ahead of her. Once he floated himself back onto the dirt, Toxigo simply looked at the girls with an over the top expression on his face, and yelled "WHOO!!!!! I love magic!"
The three girls got into fighting positions, and Tox got into a fighting stance, ready to battle.
"Bring it on" Adagio snarled.
"I think I will." Tox smirked.
Adagio and Tox began circling each around each other, and began throwing some oddly specific banter.
"So, what's your story? You look like something that should be out of those video games everyone speaks of." Adagio remarked.
"Long story short, standing out gets you nearly murdered. Now, if you don't want me to fight you which I don't, I will take Applebloom, and leave you three peacefully alone..."
"I think not, we want out of this world and she's our only chance of getting out."
"What are you talking about?" Tox asked.
"You really don't know what we're saying?" Adagio asked.
"No, and honestly, I'm not concerned with that right now."
Adagio began to make the first charge, and Tox responded by making a spin and roundhouse kick to her face. Followed by a kick to the chest, a knee to the crotch, and one final kick to the ground. Adagio, was out. Tox saw what he did and put his hands on his face.
"Oh... god..." He leaned over to her chest and listened in on her heart, and sighed in relief. "Oh, thank god... She's fine. She's... knocked out, but she'll live.
Aria and Sonata were surprised, and their jaws were wide open, and they hadn't said a word.
"Um... Are we gonna fight or no? Because I believe I just started a fight and I think its only fair that we finished it."
Aria finally closed her jaw and cracked her knuckles in anger.
"Oh finally you're doing something." Tox complained.
Aria this time slipped out a weapon. A small little switchblade knife from her pocket, and she was ready to make any stabbings.
"So we're fighting with weapons? Very well, we fight with weapons."
Tox's prosthetic hand began a transformation. The metal began clanking, the titanium began transforming, and the gears turned, until the hand transformed into a blue colored blade. Tox swung his arm around getting ready to use it, and Aria began the first attack. She made a first swipe, and Tox blocked with his arm blade. Aria aimed for his face, only for Tox to push her back to keep the blade from slitting any blood from his face. Aria made another strike again, only for Tox to grab her hand so hard that she dropped the switchblade, and Tox kneed her in the stomach, making her fall to the ground.
"Why do I keep knocking people out!? This is just making me look bad!" Tox whined.
He turned his head towards Sonata who was looking terrified beyond belief.
"Are you gonna listen to me, or are you gonna get kneed like they did?"
Sonata could only raise her arms in surrender. She was terrified.
"Trust me honey, I hated every minute of what I was doing right here."
It wasn't until later that now, he was tying up the three girls to the pole that they had tied Applebloom to. Aria was the only one unconscious, with Sonata still awake, and Adagio slowly regaining her consciousness. And currently, Sonata and Aria had tape across their mouths, and Tox was about to apply some onto Adagio's, and she woke up to see it.
"Wait...what are you doing? No, don't you dare put that--MMM!"
Adagio had a rag shoved into her mouth, which was then sealed by the roll of duct tape wrapped around her head. And she was incredibly angry.
"Now you listen to me... whoever you are, sorry I failed to get your name. Sorry. Anyways...I don't know who you are, I don't know what you are, but I can tell you this..." Toxigo then leaned in towards Adagio some more, eye to eye.
"You're not going to be hurting anyone. And don't think about questioning how I'm able to use magic, you won't be around me enough to find out how. Now if you'll excuse us, I've got a family member to help. So Applebloom, shall we go?" Toxigo asked to Applebloom.
"Um....Sure, I guess." Applebloom responded sounding unsure.
Toxigo gave Applebloom a hand to help her walk, and the two simply walked out leaving the three sirens tied up with no way of breaking free.
"Oh don't worry. I'm sure you can escape that easily. I intentionally did a bad job of tying them so you can break out of those. I'm not gonna let you die!" Tox yelled back.
"MMM! IMM GMMM KMMM YMMM!" Adagio muffled.
"Yeah, yeah, yeah...I know, burn in Tartarus." Tox nonchalantly replied.
Little did he know by using the magic, he had alerted something manical in Equestria...
Over in Equestria, in a dark and damp cave, many creatures had been resting, and were continuing to rest in the night. However, one of them, with glowing green eyes felt something. The presence of that powerful magic from the amulet, had awoken the creature.
"The Alicorn Amulet, has been unleashed..."
Chapter 6: Meet the Rainbooms/The Truth
After Toxigo and Applebloom left the campsite with Toxigo helping Applebloom move, what with a broken foot and all, they started a conversation as they walked on the sidewalk.
"So, wait, what's your name again?" Applebloom asked.
"Toxigo Paralysis. Pleasure to meet you Applebloom." Tox smiled.
"So... wait, how exactly did you do all of that?" Applebloom asked.
"Do what?"
"Fight the Dazzlings?" Applebloom asked.
"Dazzlings?" Tox laughed. "That's their name? That's... incredibly stupid."
His laughing dropped to dead silence and looked forwards as they continued to walk away. Toxigo didn't want to admit who he was to her, but he knew he couldn't erase any of those images from her head, so he had to be honest.
"Magic."
That was all Toxigo had said to her as they continued on. Eventually as they hit the town, Toxigo pulled out a phone from his pocket and handed it to Applebloom.
"Here, you should call your sister, she'll want to know you're okay."
Applebloom then took the phone, dialed in the number and gave Applejack their location. Soon, a truck came by driven by Applejack who had found them.
"Oh good heaven's you're alright!" Applejack exclaimed, being happy to see her sister. "They didn't hurt you did they?"
"No, but what they wanted me for isn't good."
"But why did they take you?" Applejack asked?
"Because they wanted to get back into Equestria using the portal in the statue, and the only way they could see on getting back was for them to take someone you all care for, and use him or her as leverage so you'd let them out." Toxigo explained.
"Oh, its you. Well, thank you kindly for saving my sister." Applejack said thanking him.
"Not a problem." Toxigo replied. But Applebloom gestured to Applejack she wanted to talk alone about something.
"Uh, can you excuse us for a moment?" Applejack asked. Toxigo just simply nodded and let them talk in private.
"Sis, while I'm thankful he saved me, there's something off about him. He used... magic." Applebloom whispered
"What do you mean, he used magic?"
"Back at school during that fire, he rose into the air, and he ponied up just like you!"
Applejack looked back at Toxigo who just stood patiently, and then her attention was back at Applebloom.
"Okay, I'll talk with him about that. Maybe he'll explain how that's possible."
Applejack then turned to face Toxigo.
"Do you need a ride back to your place?", Applejack asked politely.
Toxigo gave one nod, and went into the backseat, while Applebloom went to the shotgun seat. The ride back to Applejack's farm so she could drop Applebloom off was silent the entire time. No one said a word, and barely anyone moved a muscle. Applejack just kept her hands on the wheel, and kept her eyes on the nightly lit road. So after stopping at her home, Big Mac came from the house and helped Applebloom into the house. Then Applejack talked to her granny, or Granny Smith in this case, and so Applejack walked back to the truck. Toxigo then moved himself to the front seat of the vehicle, and they got back out on the road again... in awkward silence.
Until Applejack broke the silence.
"So, uh, Applebloom told me you used magic to stop them. Is.... is that true?" Applejack asked trying not to sound suspicious.
"....Yes."
"Oh, well, uh... How, did you use magic, exactly?"
"Its magic, you don't need to explain it."
Applejack was a little agitated at that response. "Okay, I'm going to be honest with you. Applebloom told me you used some form of magic, and I know that you saw everything that had happened at the Friendship Games with Twilight being forced to unleash the magic"
"I still question how no one was paying attention to the plants entering from the portals when their attention was on the games. Seriously is everyone just nonchalant they see giant monsters like yesterday's thing?"
"You're getting off-track here. She saw you use magic, I know she's telling the truth, and you've got to tell me what happened."
Toxigo didn't respond after that, he was afraid of what she might say. "Applejack. I would honestly, tell you the truth. I would, but.... every time I told the truth, it ended up going up in my face. Besides, what makes you think you'll believe I'm being honest with you?"
Applejack then responded with, "I'll know when you're telling the truth. And you don't have to be afraid. I'm not gonna judge you for what you'll say."
Toxigo then paused for a second, gave a sigh, and then answered with, "Alright. I'll tell the truth. But, can't it wait until tomorrow? I'm a little tired, I've been fighting three attractive women who can't sing for three hours."
Applejack pause for a moment, and decided if he wasn't going to talk tonight, it be worth him talking tomorrow. "You swear you'll talk tomorrow?" she asked.
Toxigo replied with "I promise with my one working eye."
Applejack then simply said "Fine". She didn't know if he was gonna be honest or not, but if he was gonna talk tomorrow, it'd still be worth getting some answers out of him. And who knows, maybe they could learn a little more on this strange person.
So she dropped him off at his place, following which she returned back to her home. Toxigo then entered his home, and slid against the door onto the ground landing on his butt thinking about what he was going to do. He was going to be found out, and he had no where else to go.
"Great... I'm screwed."
The next day at school was much more peaceful than what had happened with the fire. The students continued their lives as normal, but they couldn't keep their minds off of one thing. Students saw a synthetic limbed guy run through fire without getting a scratch, and all continued to let that boggle in their mind.
Outside Toxigo approached the school. It was now 7:45, just 15 minutes before school started. He stood still in fear of what their reactions might be if they had found out he was something much more. So slowly walking in, he kept a lookout for if anyone was calling for him, luckily no shout outs were being called.
The trip down the hallway, was pretty awkward though. Students gave a few stares to see him, but they didn't say anything mean. They just gave a few hellos and compliments on his actions, and left him alone.
Why does everybody know me here!? I'm just a new kid!
As time went by, he couldn't help but notice himself sweating like crazy just over the stress of revealing who he was to Applejack. He hadn't ran into her yet, but he could only imagine she would call him out on it. But there was still time before they would ever get to a break session.
But even in the classroom, he couldn't focus on his own work. He was too busy staring at the girl right in front of him, Sunset Shimmer. The fiery hair, the orange skin, she was the most beautiful thing in the world... If only he could get closer to her...
The bell had rung, and it had gotten close to lunch time. However, just as Tox was about to head to class, he caught sight of the same cowgirl walking on over to the practice room. An ample opportunity had opened up, and now he was gonna take it. So, he turned to the side, and gave a knock on the door.
"Hello?" Applejack called.
"Uh, Applejack, its me. Toxigo, you wanted me to explain myself yesterday, I kept my word." Toxigo responded.
"Oh, come on in."
Toxigo then opened the door and entered in, but to his shock there were a few other girls standing in the room. In the room with Applejack was Fluttershy, Rarity, Rainbow Dash, Pinkie, Twilight, Flash, and the ravishing Sunset Shimmer. He got such a huge shock that his back hit against the door and slid down again. "You never said anything about there being others", Toxigo replied sounding annoyed beyond all belief.
"I figured we would want to hear what you had to say about using magic."
"Next time tell me these things so I would be ready." he responded.
So Toxigo got back up, brushed the dust off of his clothes.
"So... am I gonna be left in the dark as to who they are?"
"Oh my apologies darling, I'm Rarity. Pleasure to meet you." Rarity shook hands with Tox's titanium skinned hand.
"That's Rainbow Dash..." Applejack replied as Tox shook hands with Rainbow.
"I'm Flash. Nice to meet you." Flash smiled.
"Pleasure to meet you as well Sentry." Tox replied.
"And that's Pinkie, and--"
"Twilight Sparkle and Sunset Shimmer. No need to tell me their names." Tox replied. "I already met Sunset, and I know Twilight from the... Friendship Games... incident." Tox hesitantly replied.
Twilight blushed with embarrassment out of remembering that event.
"You... know about that?" Twilight asked.
Tox nodded with a sad face. "Yeah, I do. I still can't believe they had the audacity to do that to you. You're okay, right?"
"Yeah I am. Now that I'm attending this school. So, wait, you're a former Shadowbolt, when did you leave Crystal Prep?"
"I left Crystal Prep around near the end of the year. The amount of abuse I had been suffering was beginning to be too much until I snapped, yelled at Cinch saying I'm out of her precious school, away from her precious reputation, and never came back. From that moment, I devoted myself to never going near CPA, that way I wouldn't have to suffer any more." Tox replied.
"Well as much as we'd like to hear more about you, I think you still need to explain what my sister saw you do." Applejack replied.
Tox's face drooped slightly, and so, he took a deep breath, and finally was ready to reveal his secret. "Okay, uh.... This is hard, I.... I want say this right." Toxigo started off.
"Sugarcube, it will be alright. We're not gonna judge you."
"Okay, uh... Well, you know at the Friendship Games, there was the attack from that raging she-demon firing portals at Canterlot High because Cinch blackmailed Twilight into using it to win just a petty competition which resulted in everyone's lives in danger?"
"Yes...." Applejack raised a brow.
"Well, if you think I'm just one of the students now aware of the magic existence, you're wrong. I know what that was. That was Equestrian magic, and all of the magic that was being fired was used to open up portals into Equestria. The one chance I could have taken for me to escape, but I didn't take it. There is too much going on here in this world and I can't return back."
The Human Seven paused for a moment. They were all thinking the same thing the minute he brought up Equestria to them. Could he really be, from Equestria?
"Wait, wait a minute. How do you know about Equestria?" Sunset asked.
"Because I know you are from Equestria, Shimmer-cakes. So am I."
Sunset's face drooped in shock after hearing that response, and she blushed after being called that. "Wha-wh... What? And Shimmer-cakes, really? But wait, what do you mean you're from Equestria?'
Toxigo took a deep breath, faced them right in the eye, and said. "I, Toxigo Paralysis, am a unicorn. From Equestria. The only reason I'm here in this dimension is because I've lost everything I had in Equestria and I wanted to escape my past and come here to begin a new life. However, I've made some bad decisions when I came to this world which led me to Crystal Prep and to me losing some limbs, and anger busting out, and all right up to where we are now." Toxigo finally said and turned his head away in case of angry or over the top reactions.
For a while, the room went silent. No one said a word, no one moved a muscle, no one made a sound. They had all taken in what he had just said. Their newest student, who they only heard was tormented by their rival school, more than Twilight, and possessed magic to save Applebloom, was from Equestria. The only question that came to their minds, is he really a unicorn from Equestria, or is their new student something more sinister?
Sunset's face was drooped in shock. She hadn't considered the idea of anyone else being from Equestria living in this world. Applejack however could tell from the tone in his clear and somewhat raspy voice wasn't lying, and so she approached him.
"Thank you."
"For what? Spilling the only thing that kept me awake every day to a bunch of girls I don't even know. And Shimmer-cakes?"
"No, you were being honest with us. And we were honest with you saying we wouldn't judge you."
Suddenly out of nowhere, Applejack rose in the air and she ponied up again, only to be followed by Toxigo who gave a green glow with the transformation, sprouting the ears, and tail again.
"Wait... you just... ponied up..." Sunset asked sounding like she had just seen a ghost.
"Okay, I don't know why I'm floating in the air along with you or growing horse ears or the ponytail, but at this point, I stopped questioning things because I've had a pretty weird day yesterday, and I can only imagine its gonna get even weirder as time moves on. But... if any of you know about this, I'm more than willing to hear it." Tox replied sounding more than annoyed.
"I do actually. All of us pony up when we're showing the truest part of ourselves, which allows us to do just that." Sunset said. After that, Toxigo's ponytail evaporated and his ears transformed back into place, and now they all finally began their conversation again.
"So...you're...you're from Equestria?" Sunset asked nervously
"Yes, I am Sunset."
"How long...."
"Been here for 6 years now, but I don't know how old I am in this human body. I know I'm still young, that's for sure. And if you think I've been planning on world domination, don't. I would have done something by now. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to head off and get some food. See you girls later I guess, and have a nice day."
Toxigo then left the room leaving the Rainbooms and Twilight alone, questioning everything that had just happened. Oh and Pinkie was chewing on a cupcake. But she did see something odd. Sunset had been blushing at the sight of Toxigo, and when she was called 'Shimmer-cakes', which led to a thought inside Pinkie's mind, Does Sunset have a crush on him?
Chapter 7: Escaped From Equestria
Later during the day, the Human Seven were having lunch in the cafeteria discussing their newest Equestrian student, but it was clear that him flat out saying he was from Equestria didn't fly with them. The thing that was all going on in their minds was that whether he was telling the truth about living with them in peace, or if he had something sinister in that prosthetic. He was still very, very, suspicious. And during that same time, Toxigo was on his way to the lunchroom as well. But he quickly noticed the seven of them in there, and decided to listen in on the conversation because he knew they would probably be talking about him. So a small antenna raised from his left robotic ear so he could listen in, plus it helped with his bat hearing. Suddenly, he managed to hit at a frequency where he could hear them.
"Something doesn't feel right girls. I don't think anyone would admit that they're from another world just like that." Sunset said sounding worried.
"I could tell he was being honest Sunset. But as for why he ponied up, I don't understand that though." Applejack responded.
"Maybe he ponied up because he's like us! OOH! Or-Or, maybe he's like Princess Twilight!" Pinkie said with glee, and a big smile.
"I don't think that's the case Pinkie. But something else feels off about him. Its like he's hiding something else from us."
"What else would he have to hide? He's from Equestria, he's lived a bad life here with the Shadowbolts, and is now starting a new life with Canterlot High. What else is there?" Rainbow Dash asked. While she had fought the forces of evil magic before, she was just as curious as to who he is.
"That's just it. I feel like there's something else off about him, but I just can't put my finger on it." Sunset replied.
"We'll if he is planning on doing something truly nefarious, I'm sure we can stop him just like with the Dazzlings." Rarity reassured. Back outside, Toxigo stood silent thinking about everything they said. They didn't have any signs of good feeling towards him, and he didn't to come off as evil towards them.
"Hm... how can I possibly convince them that I'm not evil? What's the logical choice here..."
At somepoint, Flash and his bandmates Ringo and Brawly Beats entered into the cafeteria room with their instruments, and set up their equipment to the side. Soon some others saw what they were doing and began questioning what they were doing.
"Um, what are you doing?" Rainbow Dash asked.
"Oh we're-" Flash then pulled out a slip of paper that was handed to him earlier "-helping make the musical score for another song number. Basically, we've got someone outside waiting, he asked us to help with a song." Flash responded.
"Oooh! Another song!" Pinkie cooed with glee.
Soon, Flash's group started up the music, everyone's focus was on the shadow outside the lunchroom doors. Soon Toxigo's foot kicked them open and he proceeded to enter the cafeteria, and everyone's attention was on him.
"Hello everyone of CHS. I'm sure some of you have heard of the recent activity involving the Dazzlings now back, and wanting revenge?"
Everyone nodded.
"Did the hostage say anything on the use of magic, involved in the attempted rescue?" Tox asked.
Everyone nodded once again and a few murmurs of saying "Yes" spread.
"I'm the one making the magic happen where she was. The magic I used was only to bring in backup to help save her from the revenging Dazzlings."
Everyone then looked at each other worried. All their thoughts were was on whether he would use the magic against them, and Toxigo could tell that's what their thoughts were on.
"Alright, if you're thinking I'm planning on taking over the school, I'm not. In fact, why don't I explain myself. Flash?"
The music kicked up, and Tox began singing.
Toxigo:
When I was younger, just a small little colt
I didn't think I'd be hurt by the Shadowbolts
My entire life I'd been running and hiding
But now Canterlot's the folks I'll be siding
Because you all are the ones with the Magic of Friendship!
Tox then jumped onto one of the lunch tables, continuing to sing.
And back then my momma said.. (What did she say?)
I said "Toxigo I think someday..."
"Maybe as a teen,
you'll get back at the changeling queen"
And Tox immediately leaped off the table doing a ninja roll and made a jump into the air landing on his feet.
Escaped From Equestria... (Escaped from Equestria)
I have a talent for running from death (death)
Escaped from Equestria... (Escaped from Equestria)
Just keep away from my venomous breath (deadly breath)
My hatred is strong for the Shadowbolts
But hating them has done me nothing
Escaped from Equestria
I'm still strong and surviving
Brawly: Here is he girls, he's toxic to the core
Ringo: Watch him drink down that chemical, oh my gosh!
Flash: He's an equine and he'll never ever try to make a kill
Band: Who wants a pony that makes the blood go chill
Oh my gosh, its the queen!
Toxigo: I think not, come on boys, start this scene!
Escaped from Equestria... (goodness gracious)
and I'll enjoy the new life that I picked
Escaped from Equestria, and I've got the hots for the Sun shining chick
When I start extracting the magic
Cinch had been saying to lose would be tragic... (tra-tragic)
And though I may cause you some of you distress
Somewhere and heaven above me, I know that my mom is proud of me...
A tear then came down his eye remembering a horrible flashback of a terrible event that had occurred with his mother.
Toxigo: I escaped from Equestria, and I'm alive...
The song had finally ended, and silence had filled the room. The only sound that came was a little bit of Pinkie giving some applause but everyone stared at her, and she immediately stopped. Eventually someone broke the silence.
"You know, I don't think we understood what you were singing exactly. I lost track of what you were explaining."
Toxigo paused for a moment, took a moment to breath in, and explained. "I lost my mother to a queen bent on ruling and I've been running and hiding until I came across the portal to this realm. Little did I know that the magic I possessed came with me to this world, and I've used it to help fight off the Dazzlings. And in my time that I've lived here, I've been beaten up by the Shadowbolts, I've lost an arm, my ears, an eye, and I may have blown up a car a few nights ago. That is my story to tell. I do not plan on ruling this world, and if I was, I would have done it by now. So, either you can hate me, or just let me live in this world with no conflicting danger whatsoever."
After his explanation, he waited to see if anyone was going to say anything nasty to him or freak out over that he was from Sunset's world. So far, nothing. Until Trixie stood up from her table and said, "The Great and Powerful Trixie doesn't hate you, if anything she's glad you saved her from the fire that broke out yesterday." She replied with a smile.
"Yeah dude, besides, someone who's not gonna take over, that's cool by me." replied Sandalwood.
"So, you're all alright with me attending Canterlot like the rest of you?" Toxigo asked.
Everyone gave a resounding "Yes", and Toxigo gave his thanks and proceeded to just get lunch. He grabbed his lunch tray, and took a table and ate in peace while everyone in the background and other tables talked about their new discovery. Their new student being an entity from Equestria, and not planning on taking over the world? This was their lucky day.
"Well, that came out of nowhere." Twilight reacted.
"But, you guys have to admit, that, was... awesome." Rainbow replied with a smile.
Rainbow then noticed Sunset was blushing again after her comment. She too had been thinking Sunset was liking this new guy...
"Well, even if it was, I really don't think that would convince everyone to..." Sunset stopped to notice Applejack giggling slightly. "What's so funny?"
"I just caught the new guy staring at you."
Sunset gave a glance towards the table he was eating alone at, and found him just focused on his own food.
"He's just staring at his lunch, I don't see what you mean." Sunset replied.
"I mean, I caught him looking at you. For a couple of seconds." Applejack replied. "You know, in all honesty, he kind of does pull a suspicious look."
"Yeah... something else seems off." Pinkie replied, scratching her chin.
"I must admit though, the dark and grim appearance kind of works for him." Rarity stated.
"Yeah, he actually looks like a pretty good looking guy." Sunset commented.
"What if we invite him over to eat with us, I think we could learn a little more from him...?" Twilight offered.
"That's a pretty good idea. I'm gonna ask him." Sunset was about to get up, but then her head turned to see Tox was already standing in front of her, with his food.
"DAH! Um... uh..." Sunset blushed at the sight of him standing right in front of her.
"I overheard your conversation. Alright if I sit?" Tox asked.
"Um... sure, yeah, go right ahead." Sunset hesitantly said.
Tox took kindly to her words and took a seat at the table with them. He took a bite of his sandwich, and once he finished, he looked at the other girls who were awkwardly staring.
"What?" Tox asked.
"How exactly did you hear us?" Rainbow asked.
"See these ears?" Tox gestured to the synthetic ears that were quite obvious for them to notice. "These little babies have advanced my hearing. Ever since I lost my real ears and got these installed, I've been able to pick up every conversation and sound for miles."
"Impressive..." Twilight replied.
Tox couldn't help but smile at Twilight's comment.
"So...how are you enjoying CHS so far?" Fluttershy asked.
"Its been amazing actually. I've gone through this day well, and not one person tried to intentionally kill me. Its very refreshing."
Pinkie accidentally spit-take at that moment, which spit water into Tox's face.
"Oops... Hehe..." Pinkie blushed.
Tox simply wiped the water spit off his face, even though there were a few spots still dripping.
"Sorry about that Toxy. But in all seriousness, someone tried to kill you?" Pinkie asked.
Tox paused at that moment, not saying a word. Until he spoke again.
"Yes. And its not just someone, its a majority of the students at CPA except for Cinch, Dean Cadence, and Twilight. And this one guy everyone called Fancypants, he was at least nice to me." Tox replied with some depression.
Everyone look at each other worried. The look on his face clearly shown he didn't like CPA at all. Even Sunset knew how much he despised going to CPA.
"So... if you don't mind my asking, why is a unicorn from Equestria now residing in this world darling?" Tox immediately stopped eating after hearing that, and he looked up at Rarity with his diamond shaped retina staring into her soul. This question was a question that Tox never liked to answer.
"I don't want to talk about it." Tox replied with a bit of bluntness to it.
"Well how come?" Rarity asked.
"I said I don't want to talk about it, okay?" the tone in Tox's voice raised up a bit, and he immediately left the table exiting the cafeteria.
Rarity couldn't help but slide down low in her chair after hearing the tone.
"I think I might have struck a heartstrings..."
Chapter 8: A Day With Rainbow Dash
The end of the school day had came, the Mane Seven came to a group meeting in the music room again for discussion over the random musical number that appeared in the cafeteria.
"So, he just admitted his identity to everyone in the cafeteria, after our discussion a few hours ago?" Rainbow Dash asked.
"Yep!" Pinkie said with a smile.
"Even if some of our other friends believe he's not evil, how can we be sure that he wasn't lying?" Sunset pondered while scratching her chin. "We've got to do something that will allow us to check in on any amount of his activity to see what he's up to."
"So are we all going to take turns looking after him?" Pinkie asked.
"Yes. Just based on his behavior when he met all of us at once he seemed uncomfortable, not to mention he lashed out at Rarity when she just asked about his past. We'll all take time to know him just one at a time. Since Fluttershy and Applejack already spent time with him, I guess that leaves to the rest of us to get to know him. So the question is, who wants to go next?" Twilight asked.
"Why don't you go Sunset?" Applejack asked.
"Oh.. uh.. well.... Um... Actually I think it'd be better if someone else talked to him first."
"Hold on a second." Pinkie then zoomed up close. "Avoiding wanting to talk to him, yet still wanting to get close to him, blushing after being called Shimmer-cakes and when he got up super close to our table... Omigosh! You totally have a crush on him!" Pinkie exclaimed with joy.
"What!? No, I don't!" Sunset was blushing after hearing that. But she froze after thinking something else. "Wait, he said he can hear things from a mile around. Check if he's listening!"
Rainbow leaped from her chair and creaked the door open to see if anyone or specifically, Tox was out there. She closed the door after confirming no one was outside and rejoined the conversation.
"Yes you do. You're blushing hard! You totally are in love with him! Oooh, what should we call you two? Maybe Sunigo? Toxset?" Pinkie exclaimed.
"I don't have a crush on him!"
"Yeah you do. You're lying. You're a worse liar than Applejack." Rainbow Dash replied.
"Okay, so maybe I do! So what if I find his eye-patch cool or, his eye beautiful with the yellow glow, or even find his apocalyptic punk look hot?... Uh, did I say that out loud?"
"Yep." came from everyone.
"Okay, can you please promise me you won't tell him, I want to tell him myself. If I ever get the courage to do so. Ugh, still can't believe I admitted that." Sunset rubbed her hand on her face in embarrassment.
"Oh relax darling, I'm sure you'll have the courage to do so. And don't worry, none of us will judge you if you ever want to go out on a date with him, I will admit he is quite handsome with the dark and grim look. And if you ever need help on ever going on a date, I'm the one to talk to." Rarity replied.
"Thanks Rarity. Now back to the real situation here, does anyone want to go do some spying?"
The room went silent for a little bit, but eventually Rainbow Dash stood up. "I'll go. He'll probably want someone to show him some of the cool stuff around town. I got it." Rainbow said with pride.
"Okay, just be subtle, and don't give him an indication that we're attempting to spy on him." Sunset assured.
"Relax, what's the worse that could happen?" Rainbow Dash asked, only to get a not so amused face expression from Sunset.
"I promise I won't give him any signs that we're spying."
However little did they know Toxigo had picked up the frequency of their entire conversation with a raised antenna from his metallic bat ear, but he didn't get upset. He knew he would have to gain their trust in order to get by them.
"The lack of subtly is disturbing. Seriously, that's just unprofessional."
Later near the end of day, Toxigo was opening up his locker getting his stuff to leave. Rainbow Dash was at the end of the hallway with a group he was familiar with, the contestants that didn't make it to the finals; Flash Sentry, Sandalwood, Micro Chips, Derpy, Lyra Heartstrings, and Bon Bon 'Sweetie' Drops. The group started walking down the hallway only to stop as Toxigo immediately said something.
"Rainbow Dash if you think secretly reporting back to the others about my behavior and activity will get them to like me, that's not gonna work."
Rainbow Dash's jaw had lowered in surprise.
"Wait, what do you mean?" Rainbow asked.
"I know you girls don't trust me well enough after my out of nowhere musical number." Toxigo said as he closed his locker and extended his walking staff out. "But I understand I have to earn your trust if you girls are going to let me stay in this world in peace. So if you all want to go into the order of giving reports back on my activity, fine. Just don't write things down that shouldn't be said or written down. So, are we going somewhere?" Toxigo finally had finished.
Rainbow Dash pulled her jaw back up and said, "Yes, I figured some of the popular students here at CHS should show you around town along with me. But to introduce them, this is--"
"Flash Sentry, Sandalwood, Micro Chips, Ditzy "Derpy" Doo, Lyra Heartstrings, and a Ms Bon Bon "Sweetie" Drops?"
Rainbow Dash's jaw went down again, and all Toxigo did was just stand in silence. "You should really close your mouth. Flies can get in that way, and let me tell you they're not tasty." Toxigo replied.
Rainbow simply fixed her jaw again, and the group of 8 exited out again. They walked out of the high school into the small town where everyone seemed to hang out and Toxgio saw many of the different places they had. He saw a police station, the music store that Vinyl Scratch owned, and a fast food joint called Inside-Out Burger. Eventually the group hung out against the basketball court fence. After staying in silence for a bit, the group decided to go walking again, only this time they had struck a conversation with Toxigo learning a little more about him.
"So wait, because you have that Equestrian amulet around your neck, that means you are able to conjure up spells?" Micro asked.
"That's correct Micro. Since I have it with me, it means I can tap into my magic, and I can use it for my own desires. Mostly all I use it for is for spell practices, escaping bad situations, or even giving people a good scare." Toxgio replied. "In fact I actually have a spell book with me I look into for spells."
"Cool. So, does that mean you can cast any spell you want in this world?" asked Derpy.
"Sort of, but I don't use it too much. Mostly just to avoid attention. Unfortunately I seemed to fail at that in the last 2 days. One, using a fireball to blow up a car out of a rage. Two, suddenly sprouting wings, ears, and tail during random times. Three, using my magic to upgrade myself to fight against the Dazzlings. And that's about it." Toxigo finished.
"Dude, that's awesome. Did anyone teach you that stuff?" asked Sandalwood.
"No, I taught myself how to do all of that. When you spend all of your time alone, you learn to your own stuff."
"But wait, don't you have any parents worried?" asked Bon Bon.
Silence was all that came from Toxigo after that question. He actually had never met his mother, as he actually has no memories of her or any relative. All he remembered of the past was running, and running, and running.
"Um, did I upset you? I'm sorry if I did." asked Bon Bon.
"No you didn't upset me Bon Bon. I just... I don't like talking about that subject. My family was kind of... killed. And, all I remember from her was to keep on running to stay alive."
Rainbow was surprised at what Tox had said. He had lashed out because he didn't want to talk about it, but because he was with the others he suddenly started revealing information on his past? But another question had ran through her mind.
"Wait, what do you mean stay alive?" Rainbow asked.
"I don't want to talk about it Skittles. It hurts me enough as it is." Toxigo responded.
"....Skittles? Really?"
As the group turned around the corner, they ran into a familiar foe. Adagio stood in front of them looking incredibly ticked off. Toxigo however kept a smug smirk on his face remembering that he basically owned them when he battled them.
"Hi Dagi. I see you got out of the ropes I intentionally did a bad job of tying."
Adagio just stood keeping that angry face expression.
"Wait, you tied up the Dazzlings?" Rainbow asked.
"Yes. Yes I did. It wasn't easy I'll tell you that. Especially when it came to trying to take them down. Oh wait, Dagi, you still got a small strand of the duct tape on the side of your face. Just saying. Come on, lets leave her be."
The group then walked away, except for Rainbow Dash who looked back and said. "I'm watching you."
Adagio gave a look back and walked off again. Entering into an alleyway, she slammed her fist not so hard against the brick wall in anger. She wasn't happy with how she had beaten by another entity from Equestria, only this one wasn't familiar or an old enemy. This one was something different, something odd, something... magical.
As she proceeded to walk down the alleyway over to another part of the town, Aria Blaze and Sonata Dusk joined her from two different sides. Together the group walked again this time looking to take a hostage once more, only this time, they know they can get something even more. A human's safety and health back, for Toxigo's magic. As they turned around a corner, they had found Lyra and Bon Bon exiting out of a candy store getting candy, only for them to turn and see the Dazzlings standing in front of them. The three then gave an indication saying to go forward and they proceeded walking.
"Just keep walking Drops, Heartstrings. Don't obey and we will hurt you." Adagio said with an evil tone in her voice.
Only as they were passing by a loading truck, their heads turned to see Thunderbass, Brawly Beats, Trixie Lulamoon, Vinyl Scratch, and Octavia Melody standing there, looking unhappy. Adagio then turned her head behind to see Flash, Derpy, Sandalwood and Micro Chips right behind them keeping them from escaping. Aria then nudged her arm for her to turn her around to see Rainbow Dash and Toxigo standing with Lyra and Bon Bon giving smug expressions. Rainbow gestured with her cyan colored arm for them to walk away, and the three walked away as they should have. The giant group then gave a yell at them saying to go away, and then proceeded to walk away.
"Huh. Its funny. Back in the Battle Of The Bands, they were Dazzling and loving it." Thunderbass commented.
The group continued walking away again, only to find coming from another alleyway were the Dazzlings again. This time, the group all shot their arms towards them like if they were going to grab them and yelled "AH!" at them. The Dazzlings immediately ran away after seeing their group again. Later the gang decided to go and play basketball as a stress reliever from their return. Rainbow Dash was quite impressed with Toxigo, despite not being good, he got along with everyone that played. But as the basketball was tossed to him and as he tossed it to someone else, he stood frozen in fear. The sight of who the basket ball was tossed to kept him standing frozen in place, not sure of what to do. Everyone soon turned to see who he was facing, he was facing 6 Crystal Prep students, some of which aided the Shadowbolts in the Friendship Games. They faced Jet Set, his girlfriend Upper Crust, Royal Pin, Suri Polomare, Fleur De Lis, Trenderhoof, and their ringleader Neon Lights.
The only ones that weren't the Shadowbolt bullies were the 5 Shadowbolts that managed to stay in the Friendship Games longer. But the Wondercolts group that were there standing could clearly tell Toxigo was afraid of them. He had been standing still, facing them with a look of fear on his face. And little did any of them know, Tox had pressed a red button on his arm which none of them had picked up on.
After a bit of silence Rainbow decided to break the awkward silence. "Hey. Cool to see you guys again. You guys want to want basketball with us? We could use some more players." Rainbow offered.
"We're not here for any basketball, rainbow pride. We're only here, for him," Neon said pointing a grayish blue finger at Tox.
"Why are you here for him in the first place?" Flash asked.
"Why don't we explain. You see, the little snot head has been a pain in my backside for a long time. Actually, he's been a pain to all of us. Constantly asking us if we wants to hang out. Well we kept saying no because one, we didn't care about him, two, he shows no pride in Crystal Prep and three we've had lots of work to do. But, the main reason we've come is because he's made life at Crystal Prep even worse. Cinch was upset that we lost at the Friendship Games, and by the way, she still declares you all cheating. And she took her anger out on us by adding on more homework and cutting down on the extra-curricular activities so that we still stay on top. But then this little mucus colored Metal Gear Solid kid just had to blow up Indigo's car. We heard Indy trying to explain to Cinch someone else did it, but that only enraged her and she added on the workload. All because of him. And now, he's going to pay."
Toxigo slowly backed up in fear, only to hear words come from his new friends.
"Okay, first off all, Cinch brought the failure onto herself by even blackmailing Twilight to releasing the stolen magic to begin with. Second, she only has herself to blame for constantly dropping all of the workload on you. He has nothing to do with you, and I'm surprised you have the nerve to try and pin the blame on him after all of the suffering you've done to him." Flash exclaimed.
"And what are you ever talking about?" Jet Set asked in his snooty voice.
"How about when you shoved a spinning drill bit into his face? Or Indigo running over him with the car to begin with? Or... Actually I don't know how you lost the ears, Tox how did you ever lose those to begin with? Didn't you say Sour Sweet was responsible for it?" asked Micro Chips.
"Sour Sweet helped, is what she did. Lemon Zest is the primary reason for this. During another torture session they slipped the headset on my head and played the music really loud. So loud in such I didn't hear a thing and at that point, only for Sour Sweet ripped my ears off! I had to build these mechanical replacements. However, despite how much pain it still gives me that it doesn't feel real, the synthetic replacements have improved my hearing quite amazingly."
"Okay..." came from Micro Chips.
"First off, what happened in shop class was he didn't get out of the way and got a drill bit right in his eye, this little prick is just a liar, and we're not trying to kill him! All we've been trying to do was get back at him for being such an annoyance!"
The Wondercolts all gasped. Neon had just confirmed they did bully him, and even Rainbow was surprised at what they had heard.
"An annoyance!? AN ANNOYANCE!? I just wanted friends, all I wanted was to be your friends, was it necessary to shove a spinning drill bit into my face!?"
Neon paused to think, and angrily replied "Okay maybe that was a little too far-"
"A LITTLE!?" everyone shouted.
"Okay, it was too far, but it's not as much as what those 5 girls that made it to the finalists did, they hurt you just as much as I did, so why does it matter what I did over what they did?"
Tox's eye turned into a void of empty white as the anger filled his voice. "You took away what I value most about the human body, and it really hurt you know!?"
"Well maybe if you gave support for all of us, then maybe we wouldn't be right here now would we?" Neon huffed.
Rainbow decided that was the last straw. He had said enough. "Support? Support!? Maybe he didn't want to give support for everything you all did to him! You never wanted to talk to him, you picked on him, abused him, recklessly assaulted him, and you constantly got away with it! And you're seriously taking your anger out on him for the Friendship Games? That's just petty of you! Its just a competition that you always beat us at and never let us forget it! And why don't you just leave him alone, what the heck is wrong with you! Just because he wants to be your friend means you have the right to hurt him!? Not... Cool. Now, if you want to leave peacefully without any issues, I suggest you get out of here and beat it. You mess with my friends, you mess with me." Rainbow Dash replied.
Just at that exact moment, Rainbow's body gave a blue glow and she grew pony ears, wings, and a tail once more. Royal Pin cringed at the sight of that, while Jet Set and Upper Crust's eyes were wide open with their jaw's hanging out. Neon Lights simply just gave an angry unsmiling face expression and the group started walking away. Soon Rainbow Dash put an arm on Toxigo's shoulder giving him an indication that he was okay.
"Its okay, we're not letting them hurt you. Come on, lets just go play somewhere else."
Tox smiled back at Rainbow. He was feeling very thankful that he had friends with him.
So the Wondercolts group started to walk away from the area, except for Trixie who gave one last look at them.
"Psychotic jerks... I'm not letting them hurt my friends."
But as she was about to walk away she almost tripped forwards on her face. She knew she didn't step on any rocks, and the trip felt like someone's foot. She turned to see that Suri Polomare was giving a smug expression on her face that was a mockery of an apology, along with her arms going out saying "sorry". But Trixie had tricks up her sleeve, she raised an arm out gesturing for her to wait, looked back at the Wondercolts, and back at Suri and shrugged. She extended an arm asking to start over, only for her to swing a kick towards her kicking her down.
"That's for hurting Toxigo, and for tripping the Great and Powerful Trixie!"
Trixie then decided to walk away with her victory intact, only for Suri to toss something towards the back of her head.
"Oh it is on!" Trixie yelled before tackling Suri to the ground.
The two rolled over, punched, kicked, and spit at each other but neither were defeated. Eventually Fleur De Lis had to just simply walk up and take Suri just to get out of there, only for Trixie to kick her in the flannel skirted butt. But after that, other Crystal Prep students started running in, and Trixie knew she needed backup.
"Guys! Hey guys!" Trixie yelled.
Eventually the group heard her and as Trixie ran towards them, so did the Shadowbolts, resulting in all of them starting to run.
"Trixie you attacked them!?" Flash yelled.
"I had to! They shouldn't have messed with us!"
"Trixie, no offense, but you're an idiot!" Tox shouted.
As the giant group of Wondercolts began running, several of them took different directions and Tox quickly noticed the Bolts kept chasing them.
"Why are they still chasing us!?" Tox yelled.
"I think they're after you!" Rainbow shouted. "Just go somewhere else, we'll keep them occupied!"
"Got it!" Tox then using the amulet while running, teleported into dust, right in an alleyway which the Shadowbolts already ran past. Toxigo leaned out the side watching them run away, and breathed in relief.
"Well at least I'm away from them for the time..." Tox turned his head and saw Fleur standing, then turning his head left he saw Jet Set and Upper Crust standing, and it wasn't long to see that Suri had also arrived.
"Oh...marvelous."
In another area, Rainbow Dash, Trixie, and Flash were running away from more Shadowbolts but found themselves trapped in an alleyway with only one way of escaping, and that was the path ahead of them.
"Why did you have to tackle Suri?" Flash said sounding afraid.
"Suri should never have tackled the Great and Powerful Trixie, or hurt our friend! I thought we already discussed this!"
"Well it doesn't matter right now, we have no way of getting out of here." Rainbow exclaimed. At that moment, Royal Pin, Suri, Fleur, and Neon Lights came to the front of the group.
"No way of escaping now, is there, Wondercluts." Neon sneered with an angry grin. "You should have just let us win the Friendship Games, and maybe we wouldn't be here, now would we?"
"You were going to release a power you couldn't control dude! That's just dangerous!" Flash yelled.
"And what did you do to Toxigo!?" Rainbow yelled in fear.
Their eyes turned to see Jet Set and Upper Crust tossing his unconscious body in front of them, showing many signs of damage. He had millions of cuts, bruises, scratches, and some bones were bent the wrong way. He also had several dents and damage that were done to his mechanical arm, and some fingers were shown to be almost all the way off, with some wires that were disconnected. Along with that amount of damage, they could see his mechanical bat ears had some damage to it and millions of dents into it. Concerned for possible death, Trixie bent down to place a finger on him to check for a pulse.
"I... I can't tell if he's dead or not."
"Well of course he's not dead you dread-locked idiot. You think we're monsters? You really think we would actually kill him? We may be jerks but even we're smart enough to know murder is something no one can get off of so easily. Even if we've recklessly hurt him"
"When I get my hands on you, you will be sorry!" Rainbow yelled with a tear down her face in anger. She was now really angry that someone hurt one of their friends, and maybe almost killing him again.
"And just how can you stop us? There are more of us, than there are of you. Besides, its time someone teaches you what happens when you mess with Crystal Prep students."
Neon lived to regret those words, because at that moment, things were going to go down. Soon, they heard a machine humming noise, and they were wondering as to where it was coming from.
"Leave my friends alone...." Came a distorted and demonic voice.
Their heads turned towards the unconscious boy on the ground, and now, they became terrified. Tox's body was slowly, getting off the ground, even though he still had major wounds and bones bent. And in a millisecond, he was standing on both his feet, looking incredibly pissed off.
"I said, leave my friends alone!"
The golden amulet around his neck illuminated, and he began firing energy shots from his fists towards the ground in front of him, which was giving the Shadowbolts an indication to leave them.
"You recklessly tried to hurt me, and attack my friends! I will not let you hurt my friends, and you aren't going to hurt me anymore! You mess with my friends, You. Mess. With. Me!"
At that moment, his body glowed with a bright green glow. Pony ears spawned onto the sides of his head and the back of his hair grew long and lustrous like minty green fabric. And all of the Bolts began to run away from the attack and they didn't come back.
Once they all left, Tox limped back around to look at the five of them all concerned.
"Are you okay?" Trixie asked sounding worried.
"I'm fine Trixie. Other than getting severely beaten up, I'm okay." A few sparks sizzled from the left side of his head due to his ear almost being completely off, and the only thing keeping it connected were the wires.
"How... did you just do that?" Rainbow asked in shock.
"This amulet around my neck, I used some of my magic to get myself standing back up and may have powered up just a bit."
"Oh... that's actually kind of freaky and awesome at the same time. And, as long as we're here--"
"No, Rainbow, let me." Trixie interrupted. "Trixie is sorry for causing them to go chase after you and us. I hope, you can, maybe, forgive?" Trixie hesitated.
"I forgive you Trixie. Besides, it wasn't a total failure. Because..."
Tox hit a button on his arm, and it played the entire conversation they all had back in the basketball court which surprised them all.
"You got evidence?" Flash asked.
"Yep. After many years of abuse, I finally have some hard evidence against them. And all I can do, is just hit one button and the evidence will be sent to every single email to all of the students and faculty of CHS. But... I'm not gonna do it."
"Why not? You have hard evidence against them, you should send it." Flash replied.
"As much as I want to send the evidence out, there are two things here. One, the recording isn't enough, I need more. And two, I'm tired of dealing with their bullcrap. I just want some time to chill, hang out with you guys... I... I want to experience the feeling of having friends by my side." Tox replied with a weak smile.
"Well I'm sorry we couldn't hang out today." Rainbow somberly replied.
"Who said we didn't?" Tox asked. "From my viewpoint, we all hung out together and you got to know me a little more. Even if part of that was interrupted by my former enemies. Even still, I enjoyed hanging with you guys. Maybe we can do it again." Tox offered.
"Yeah, we should. So, see you tomorrow then?" Rainbow asked.
"Yeah. See you Skittles." Tox smiled as he began limping away, but then Flash spoke up.
"Um, are you sure you can make it back? You look like you need to go to the hospital."
"No, don't worry about it Sentry. Besides... just...watch."

His leg that was slightly twisted in a very odd manner was slowly moving back into normal, the wires that were shown to be out and to be the things making the fingers move reconnected back into place, and the mechanical fingers moved back into their sockets. They also noticed the metal bending itself back out from being smashed in on his arm, and the ear that was hanging loose, pulled itself back onto the side of his head and twitched again, signalling it was restored.
After giving them a wave goodbye and smile, Toxigo left the alleyway to walk back to his home, and Rainbow Dash's small group looked at him walking off in the sunset, giving a smile.
"You know something Flash?" Rainbow asked
"What?"
"I know Sunset and Fluttershy said he seems a like a good guy. Now I'm starting to believe it. And that's awesome." Rainbow smiled.
Chapter 9: Sleepover At Pinkie Pie's
The next day at school, the Human Seven were all talking together once more to hear what happened on Rainbow Dash's day with Toxigo. Rainbow had explained everything that happened. Tox admitting the reason for not wanting to talk about his past, and the Shadowbolts exposing the truth behind their abuse and attack. All 7 girls were in deep thought over the entire thing, but suspicion was still living.
"So, wait, let me get this straight. He didn't want to talk about it because had lost his family, and the Crystal Prep kids intentionally tried to murder him?" Sunset asked still trying to comprehend the entire situation.
"Yeah, and I know it may sound pretty crazy, which it is, but its true. Neon admitted that they tried to kill him. And Tox defended us from the Shadowbolts. I don't think he's evil guys, he was telling the truth." Rainbow replied.
"Well maybe if that's true or not we still need to check up on everything about him though. But still, keep a low profile on him though."
"That may be a bit of a problem Sunset." Rainbow hesitantly replied.
"Why?"
"I walked over to his locker and it turns out he heard our entire conversation. But its okay, he says he knows he has to earn our trust if he's going to live around here!" Rainbow said quickly. Sunset just face palmed after hearing that their plan had just been discovered. But Twilight had some hope for them.
"Wait, hold on, you said he knew he had to earn our trust from him right?"
"Yes."
"Well then we can still see if we can. We just need to get him to come to an environment where all of us can observe him, Anyone have any ideas?"
"OOH! I have an idea! Slumber party at my place!" Pinkie said with joy.
"I have to agree with Pinkie on this one, if he's in the house with us, we can observe him while we have fun with him." Rarity replied.
"I suppose we can try that. Alright, sleepover at Pinkie Pie's. But how are we going to convince him to come over?"
"What if I ask him, he's talked to me before." Applejack asked.
"I don't see how that works but okay, if you want to ask him, go right ahead." Sunset finished.
"I'll go too Applejack. I for one need to apologize for asking him about a sensitive subject." Rarity replied.
Later that day Applejack and Rarity walked through the hallways looking to see where Toxigo was. So they made a sharp turn left and found themselves going to an empty room where it was almost completely dark. They tried turning on the light-switch but no luck had came. But after pausing, they watched in the darkness several different streams of light constantly flash and zoom around, as if lasers or energy was being fired. And from the few flashes they could clearly see Tox was in the room practicing, wielding his magic.
Once the light had restored itself, they found Tox standing in a position with his arms spread out as if he was stretching. And soon he stood frozen after seeing Applejack and Rarity standing there. "Um... How long were you standing there?" Toxigo asked.
"Long enough to see you practice magic darling." Rarity replied.
"Uh.. okay." Toxigo awkwardly replied. "So, what brings you to my own personal room of magic practice?"
"Well we heard how fantastic you were with Rainbow Dash yesterday about defending her, and we wanted to see if you maybe wanted to come to a sleepover as a form of celebration." Rarity asked.
"Celebration? No, no, no you don't need to go to any trouble for celebration. I was just doing what any man or woman should do. But, if you want me to come over for a sleepover just as friends I'll gladly come."
"Alright, its settled then. We'll see you at the sleepover." Applejack finished.
"Wait, what time do you want me to show up?" Toxigo asked.
"I guess maybe after school, sometime around 4:00. We'll hang out, get some work done, party, stuff like that."
"Okay, I'm in. See you then Jackie." Toxigo finished with a smile.
Applejack still faced him with a "Really?" expression, but Rarity suddenly remembered what she was gonna ask.
"Oh,uh, Tox, darling. I almost forgot, I wanted to apologize for asking about a sensitive topic yesterday." Rarity asked.
"Okay....?" Tox hesitantly replied.
"Well, you see, you told some of our other friends and Rainbow about why you didn't want to talk about that, and I can understand not wanting to talk about your past, so I must apologize. Do you forgive me?"
Toxigo thought it over, and came with a conclusion. "Yes, I do."
Rarity still gave a smile of interest on her face. "Well thank you, darling. So shall we see you at the sleepover?"
"Yes. See you Rare."
After their plan and conversation, they walked out of the room and continued to go back to their normal class schedules, but they didn't focus because they were anxious to see Toxigo again so they could learn a little more about him.
It was later that day, or should I say night, Toxigo had finally came to the sleepover at Pinkie's. All seven girls were there and all were allowed to, plus Pinkie's parents were out of town on a business trip owning a rock farm, so it meant Pinkie and her sisters staying home, luckily none of them were planning on bothering any of them.
"Okay, okay, Pinkie Pie, truth or dare?" Toxigo asked.
"Dare!"
"Okay, I dare you drink down this entire bottle of soda, with one gulp."
Everyone did an "OOH" at that, but Pinkie accepted the challenge. She opened a bottle, and chugged it down like a bottle of beer. When she finished, she gave a big burp.
"Okay then, I shouldn't have underestimated you there, that's very impressive. I don't think I can chug down a bottle like that."
"Its not so hard for me! However, it does leave a little... Little... be right back!" Pinkie then zoomed off upstairs.
"I take it she's going to the bathroom?"
"Yep."
"Understood. So who's turn is it?"
"Alright, its my turn." Rainbow said. "Truth or dare?"
"Well because I'm not in the mood to being honest right now, I pick dare."
"I dare you to leave a scary voicemail to the principal of Crystal Prep."
"Rainbow Dash, that's diabolical." Toxigo said with over-dramatics.
"And?"
"I was just saying. Let me just get my phone!" Toxigo excitedly pulled out his phone, dialed in the numbers with his synthetic fingers, and then held it to his ear.
"Hold on, its ringing, and... okay, message will be sent in 5, 4, 3, 2, 1. Hello there Abacus.... This is the devil himself... I know what you've done.... You hurt Twilight at the Friendship Games... You should never have messed with a power you don't understand... If you want to live, you must apologize to her, and to everyone you've insulted... Crystal Prep isn't the best school... Best schools would never be gloating about their scores,.. If you don't obey me and apologize to everyone you insulted about your precious reputation.... I will send the demons of Tartarus after you.... Now be quick, you've got 24 hours.... MUAWAHAHAHA!!!!"
Toxigo hung up the phone while everyone's jaws were hanging out and eyes were widened by what Toxigo had said.
"When I leave scary messages, I leave scary messages. And I don't mess around."
It wasn't long until everyone then started laughing and Toxigo joined in on the laughter.
"Okay, best prank call we've done yet." Rainbow said.
"Yeah... Oh, wait I wanted to ask Toxy something." Rarity replied.
"Sure Rarity, what's that?"
"Truth or dare?"
"Okay I guess I'll go a little risky, truth."
"Did you ever try to make a friend while you were at Crystal Prep?"
Silence filled the room in awkwardness, but Toxy did reply.
"I actually did try to, but I didn't have much since most of them are just mean. And it didn't help when I tried building myself a friend."
"You tried to do what?" Sunset asked.
"I wanted to try and build myself my own friend, but that didn't work during the time because I didn't have any magic or special parts to get it made."
Soon the doorbell rang leaving them all questioning who could it be.
"Pizza guy?" Rainbow asked.
"I don't think so, that's way to early, and we ordered pizza a few minutes ago." Fluttershy responded.
So she went to the door and opened it up, what she didn't expect to see was the five Crystal Prep girls that they had played against in the Friendship Games. Indigo Zap, Sugarcoat, Sour Sweet, Sunny Flare, and Lemon Zest.
"Uh, hey what are you guys doing here?"
"We wanted to talk to you about something."
Toxigo immediately recognized that voice, and freaked.
Oh hell no...
The first choice of action was to throw himself over the couch like a sack of potatoes and hide behind it until they all left. The girls all gave questioning face expressions but remembered he didn't like them and they hurt him to no end, so hiding behind the couch was the only option.
"Uh, sure come on in." Twilight offered to take their coats and hung them up and they entered into the living room, where they saw Applejack, Rarity, a returning Pinkie, Fluttershy, Rainbow, and Sunset in their PJs. Luckily for Tox, he had hidden behind the couch and the furniture was set in a way that none of them could see him.
"I take it you all are having a slumber party?" Sunny asked.
"Yes, it is a Friday night." Fluttershy responded.
"Very lovely dearie." Replied Flare in the polite friendly voice as she always had.
"So, why are you all here?" Sunset asked.
"I wanted to talk to you about something. Its about this guy. I don't know if any of you know him, are you familiar with someone named Toxigo Paralysis?" Indigo asked.
"Eyepatch, bat ears, synthetic arm?" Rainbow asked with a bit of bluntness, getting a resounding nod from Indigo.
"Rainbow Dash, I think you mean the student that they all abused and tried to murder from day one until he just drove down to the breaking point and blew a car belonging to Crystal Prep Academy." Rarity replied.
"Wait, how do you know about that?" Indigo asked.
"Because he admitted he blew up your car to all of us off screen because he was afraid to face any of you!" came from Pinkie.
"And I can't blame him, y'all hurt him every day of his life, and you wanted to kill him." came from Applejack looking very upset.
"But wait-"
"Not to mention some of your classmates tried to attack Rainbow Dash! And all because you were being stupid-heads, and you didn't think about what could happen, when you released magic that none of you know how to control!" Pinkie responded.
"Now, hold on a sec-"
"And add on actions committing an act of murder because you didn't like him!" Rarity yelled.
"Just, wait! Alright, look none of us are proud of what we did! All of us are to blame for what we did. But its only because were caught up in the Friendship Games, we all tortured him because he didn't show any support for Crystal Prep. Our constant gloating and obsession with winning caused him to rebel against us. We got so upset he didn't support us and basically insulted us so much that we did things. Things that we aren't proud of, things we... should never have done. I ran over him with the car, Lemon Zest made him go deaf, Sugarcoat locked him overnight in a video-game arcade with no way of escaping without setting off the alarm, Sour Sweet pushed him down a flight of steps making him have to go to the hospital several times for dislocated bones including sawing his ears off, and Flare gave him several scratches and punches and kicks at random times. Look we don't expect him to be happy with us, and if he's enraged with us, its perfectly reasonable. We just hope he's okay."
The girls could see the Shadow 5 were truly upset. The tone in their voices and the teary eyes did seem like they were genuinely sorry for what they had done. But their attention was drawn away to listen to voices only the Shadow 5 and Twilight were familiar with.
Unleash the magic, Unleash the magic,
If we lose then you're to blame
They all had used it, maybe abused it,
So then why can't we do the same?
The Shadowbolt girls turned their heads to face the hallway and saw Toxigo standing there with a black bathrobe and drinking hot chocolate from a coffee mug. Along with his one brow raised giving an indication of unamuse. His yellow demonic eye stared at them straight on, as if looking right into their souls and wanting more than to give them pain. They could see from the prosthetic arm he had recorded them egging Twilight into releasing the supernatural magic.
"By the way, I'm fine, Zappy. No thanks to you jackasses. But...lets just say my mental condition has become much better than I was at Crystal Prep, not that any of you helped at all." He said before sipping another bit of his drink.
"Toxy, I-"
"Forget it Indy, I don't want to hear anything from you."
"Okay is it Zappy, or Indy? And why do you call her that?" Rarity asked.
"She's my ex-girlfriend, Rarity. She and I used to be a couple, until she blackmailed me to continue to be with her after she found apparently I'm an orphan. Not to mention when I refused to be with her anymore, that's when all of the torture from her began. One of which was that she threatened to tell Cinch that I am living alone in a house underage without an adult, and if she did tell, I would be taken away from what little life I had and put into foster homes. Little snitch then gave me insults about not having a mommy."
"WHAT!? You threatened to take his life away because he didn't have a mommy! You diabolical monsters!" Pinkie yelled.
"That was too over-dramatic. You should really wait for the conversation to be over before making any comments." said a deadpan Sugarcoat.
"Thank you, Sugarcoat. Funny how they gave you that name, I take it you're always mono-toned and brutal to every person you meet? Sometimes I wonder if you talk to your mother with that mouth. You ever tell her that she looked like a giant purple eggplant in the purple dress?" Tox said with sarcasm.
"Talk about not having a mother dearie." Sunny Flare sneered at him, becoming very agitated.
Tox paused after Sunny's comment, and continued to speak.
"Hehehehehe... By the way, I heard everything you said, I'm not forgiving you.... Sugarcoat, you're too honest, you should learn to lie every now and then. Flare, hath no accent, stop saying dearie to everyone. Sour Sweet, I know for a fact you're not bipolar, you're just mean. Lemon Zest, your headset is up way too loud, how can you hear what people are talking to? And Indigo, Blaring, Zap...the chick that tried to talk me into letting go everything you did to me. You look like you're trying to be a copy-cat against Lightning. Remember old Lightning Dust?"
Everyone paused in silenced after hearing that last sentence while Lemon and Sunny were trying to hold back Sour from charging at Toxigo and beating him up, and Tox had a smirk on his face watching their anger boil.
"Dearie, stop. You know we came here to apologize, not start another fight."
Sour noticed her actions and got back standing straight, brushed the dust off her uniform, and had her hands behind her back and gave a nervous smile.
"You know I find it quite interesting how you say you wish to make up your actions, but yet you still insult me and try and kill me again. And I'd strongly advise you don't mess with me...." Tox smirked.
"And...why not?" Lemon asked.
"Little did any of you know that by you constantly hurting me, I've gotten more powerful than ever before. I now possess magic, and I can use it against you in any way or fashion I want. I suppose Neon hasn't told you that he almost died trying to kill me again?"
Now everyone was scared and nervous. They didn't know what his next action would be based on the tone of his voice.
"Um, Tox? You're not still holding grudges against us? Are you? That's a very stupid question considering what we've done." Sour asked.
"Oh you two-faced Sour Patch. Normally I would have pressed charges against you and all of your friends for everything you did and I would have exposed all of my hard evidence against you, but hey, why not let you off scot-free much like Cinch got off for her crimes. She gets off scot-free for blackmail, insulting a faculty to their faces in a microphone, forcing someone to release a power they have no control of, disregarding the safety and intelligence of their students, and for almost letting all of us possibly die. But getting to the point, I'm letting you off because its in the past. However..."
Toxigo's arm immediately transformed into a little two-barrelled rifle weapon that started charging up and he pointed it at the five Shadowbolts, and suddenly his yellow eye turned into an empty void of nothingness.
"If I catch any of you anywhere near me, or if you try to beat an apology out of me, you will wish you never have done it. Capiece, Shadowbolts?" Tox said with a demonic tone.
The Shadowbolts nodded quickly in fear, and Toxigo's arm transformed back to normal, as well as his eye.
"Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going away from you, because I don't want to talk to you anymore." Tox was about to walk away, but...
"Tox wait! We just wanted to talk to you! We wanted to apologize!" Indigo pleaded. "Please!"
Toxigo didn't want to give Indigo the satisfaction, but instead, he turned with a glowing eye and said--
"You can talk to me when you learn not to mess with an entity from another dimension where equine creatures reside. Actually, don't talk to me at all. You don't need to talk to me, you don't deserve to talk to me, and you will never talk to me."
Toxigo then left the hallway going upstairs to the door in Pinkie's room, entered in and slammed it shut. He then slid down onto the floor and kept his eyes closed, and turned off his ears. To have only silence around him, so he wouldn't have to hear any of their thoughts, or reactions.
He eventually exited out of the room but he didn't go talk to any of them. At that point, everyone was ready to head to bed. But Toxigo on the other hand couldn't sleep. He decided to just stay up, while drinking hot chocolate. He sat at the cobblestone counter top on a bar stool sitting near the island countertop in Pinkie's kitchen. Just drinking his hot chocolate, in sorrow. He stared down at the chocolate and marshmallow filled drink and stayed silent for about a few minutes until he heard someone coming down.
"Hey Tox. What are you doing up?"
That voice had come from Sunset who had came down in the middle of the night for some water.
"I'm just having a drink. What about you?"
"I'm getting some water. How come you're up this late at night? Can't sleep?"
Tox simply shook his head basically saying yes. "I can't go to sleep, especially after those Bolts came in here looking for me. They may say they want to make sure I'm okay, but I'm smart enough to know that they want me to pay for giving them more trouble."
"Tox. They didn't come here to cause trouble. After you went upstairs they talked with all of us and said they were feeling guilty for what they did to you. Just like they did with Twilight."
"Yeah, well its going to take more than sorry to repay for what they did. All of the abuse, the insults, the blackmailing, and the attempted murder, its too much Shimmer-cakes."
Sunset didn't know how to reply to that. She knew every word that Tox said was right, as for none of them should be forgiven so easily for the things that did to him. But she knew that they were desperate and truthfully wanted to make things right with him, so it would be up to her to try and get them all alone together to talk out their issues. But for now, she thought she would take time to talk with him to get to know him on other levels seeing how she never talked to him personally. So she simply pulled out a stool chair and sat across from him.
"Hey Tox, I'm.. I'm sorry."
"For what? You have nothing to be sorry for."
"No I do. When you admitted who you were to us, I honestly didn't think you actually came here to live in peace. I honestly thought you were up to something else like planning on ruling Equestria or getting more power, but based on how you're doing; going to Canterlot and hanging out with us, I think you're a good guy. Er, colt, stallion, whatever how old you are."
"No Shimmer-cakes, its okay. I understand I had to earn your trust. From my view I didn't think you would believe it so easily so I thought I'd had to earn your trust by hanging out with you guys. And I must ask, do you, trust me?"
"Yes. Yes I do."
"Thanks. Shimmer-cakes."
After a pause the two sat in silence for a bit, but Sunset wanted to start fresh.
"I think we should start over. How about, we ask each other questions, and once we've answered them, we keep on going. You okay with that?" Tox gave a smiling nod of approval. Sunset then extended her arm out for a handshake. "Hi, my name's Sunset."
Tox was on board with what she was doing and decided to start fresh as well, and he gave a handshake back. "My name's Tox. Toxigo, if you wish."
"I'll just call you Tox, for now. So, I have to ask, when did you find your way to this world?"
"I entered in this world at some point when I was 8 or 9 in human years, I honestly have no idea what period of pony years I'm at right now, its been so long, and my memory of Equestria isn't great. But, how does a unicorn like you end up here in the human world. I saw your demon form 2 years ago, but I don't know what led to that?"
"That was back when I was evil. I turned into a raging she-demon after placing a crown on my head that was an Element of Harmony from Equestria. The power was too much and soon I turned into a giant demon wanting total power and control of Equestria after abandoning my studies under Princess Celestia. And, lets just say after you turn a raging she-demon everyone immediately hates you..."
"I know how you feel there. Every day I attended CPA I was hated."
"Well, yeah, but they had no reason to hate you, everyone had a reason to hate me."
"Still, even then, I understand what it feels to have everyone hate you." Tox replied.
"Okay, my turn. I understand you kept on running and running from a malevolent queen, right?" Sunset asked.
"That is correct."
"How did you find your way into this world?"
"I stowed away on a train to the Crystal Empire and stayed hidden for a couple of days, and after sneaking into the Empire I discovered that mirror that led into this world. And because I didn't want her to find me, I ran right through it, learned about how this world worked and worked my way up to here right now. Luckily she never found me. Now back to me, how did you end up becoming friends with everyone after becoming that, demon, thing?"
"It wasn't easy, I can say that. I had to earn everyone's trust back by working for it. It was painful at first, but after working through it, having friends is actually quite nice."
"I can imagine so. And I have to admit, it feels nice having you girls as friends rather than those Shadowbolts."
"Yeah." Sunset sighed.
"Oh wait, another question, I have to ask this, my friends told me you had powers. How are you able to use magic here?"
"That's a good question and I believe that's worth answering. I didn't possess magic before, but I over the years I had started to possess it again, and I had no idea why. But soon, all the answers led to this little thing."
Tox showed the Amulet around his neck, which Sunset had no idea as to what it is.
"This Amulet has allowed me to tap into my magic abilities, which has helped a bit. When I lost some of my body parts, and had to replace them with the technology, I combined some of its magic into the machines, which gained me a little more power, and the machines became one with me. As for how it ended up where I found it, I have no idea. But that is how I am able to use my magic here in this world."
"Oh, okay." Sunset replied trying to process all of the information just told her.
After a bit of silence fell, Tox decided to break the ice again once more.
"So, you date much? Just, thought I'd ask."
"I did date Flash but that was only to raise popularity. I didn't really like him."
"Oh alright. I guess..." Tox awkwardly replied.
Sunset thought again about what she was going to say, and then spoke.
"So... uh, I'm going to say this. I know you think everyone thinks low of you, but the truth is they don't. They're just too afraid to know the real you. And I think I've seen the side of you that you really are."
"Thanks, Shimmer-cakes."
After once again, more silence. And during this, Tox didn't realize it, but he was slowly moving his synthetic hand onto Sunset's orange hand. He picked up on it, and moved it away trying to avoid any awkwardness. Sunset blushed after seeing him quickly retract his arm back. Eventually Toxy got up from his chair to go get some more marshmallows into his cup, and before walking back he slowly felt the red on Sunset's hair, which he slapped his arm to stop. But little did he know Sunset kind of liked it.
Sunset then walked over to get some water for her cup, and then paused to take a closer look at the muscle on Tox's real arm, and was quite impressed. Tox's left ear twitched a bit signaling that he knew she was there, but Sunset didn't move a muscle. She stood by next to him, drinking from the plastic cup, and she heard a metallic clanking noise. She saw Tox had placed his hand on the table as well as he was opening up the gauntlet, checking the wiring and circuitry. He then flipped the lid back on, and was right up face to face with Sunset. Both backed off and blushed after being almost uncomfortably close. But in their minds, they didn't find it uncomfortable at all. Tox and Sunset both moved their hands closer to touch one another, and their eyes and eye were locked onto each other in a romantic hypnotizing trance, but just as they were going to lean in closer--
"Hey."
Both Tox and Sunset screamed out in terror and backed off in awkwardness and saw standing near a cabinet with chips in her hand, Pinkie's sister Maud.
"Just came down for a late night snack." Maud said in her usual deadpan voice. She grabbed her chip bag and then walked away from the kitchen going back upstairs.
"It still bugs me thinking that Maud is related to Pinkie. How is that even remotely possible?" Tox asked.
"I wondered the same time I ran into her."
After a little bit of laughing at that, silence filled the room once more. "Well I better get back to bed, I need some sleep. Night Toxy."
"Goodnight Shimmercakes."
After Sunset left for bed, Tox gave a smile thinking about the evening. Talking with Sunset had helped his anger issues and he was starting to fall in love with her. But he would have to wait for another time to be asking her out on a date, or anything beyond that. But the very thought of being with her made him very excited.
Over in Equestria, a strange bug like creature had snuck her way into the very castle of Princess Twilight. She wandered the halls, and discovered a room where the mirror to travel to the human world was.
Her eyes glowed as she laughed manically, then facing the portal, she said "The Amulet... has been located..."
Chapter 10: Element of Laughter/Do We Have A Deal?
Back in the human world, everyone was still at Pinkie's house. The sun was rising up to the early morning of Saturday and all of the girls, and the one guy was still sleeping. Well, almost all of them. Pinkie however was awake at this time, busy making herself an early breakfast, and because she was alone, wearing only a bed shirt. And while she was making breakfast she was jamming out to a song on the radio.
Going out tonight, I'm feeling alright
Gonna let it all hang out...
Gonna make some noise, really raise my voice
Really gonna scream and shout...
At that same moment Tox walked into the kitchen with his black robe with a toxic symbol on the left chest pocket and his wacky Vinyl Scratch styled hair all messed up. He saw Pinkie jamming out to the song and she eventually saw Tox. "Hi Toxy!"
"Morning Pinks. Mind if I dance along?"
"No go right ahead. Someone's in a happy mood."
Tox began dancing in a very silly manner along with Pinkie Pie and he began to explain. "Well last night, I had a nice talk with Sunset last night. She came down for a drink in the middle of the night, we eventually struck up a conversation and..."
"And what?"
"Ugh. We were locked onto each other like two people in love except Maud walked in and ruined the moment."
"Aw. I'm so sorry! I'll go talk to Maud about it."
"No Pinks, its okay. She didn't know, she was just getting a late night snack. Don't be mad at her. Okay?"
"Okie-dokie-loki!"
"But what do you say I change the song here, I know a good song to jam to."
"Sure!"
Tox immediately pulled out his iPod, placed it on a little radio, went through some of the songs and hit play on one. Soon the room flowed with a 1950s rock song, and soon Pinkie and Toxy began dancing to the music along with also making a mess while making breakfast. Both began singing along with the song, dancing around, and just being silly. This suddenly triggered the energy in Pinkie as she soon began glowing, ears sprouted, a tail formed, and floated into the air. "I guess you've got the same thing like everyone else as well." Tox responded.
"Yep!"
Eventually Pinkie floated back down and the ears, and tail evaporated. At that moment, Rarity and Twilight entered into the kitchen. "Morning Pinkie." Twilight said.
"Morning Twilight."Pinkie said with glee.
"Morning Sparky."
Twilight paused after hearing that comment. "Sparky?"
"Yeah, I came up with nicknames for all of you guys. Pinkie is Pink, Rainbow is Skittles, Rarity is Rare, Applejack is Jackie, Fluttershy is Shy, you're Sparky, Adagio is Dagi, and Sunset is Shimmer-cakes."
"Um, alright." Twilight hesitantly responded.
"So Tox, I must ask what's gotten you into a much happier mood then you were when the Crystal Prep students came by- oh, sorry. I forgotten what they had done."
"No, its alright Rarity. In fact I'm in a much happier mood from yesterday because I got to spend time with Shimmercakes."
"Oh congrats darling, I take it you two got along well last night?"
"Yes, yes we did."
"And...?" Came from Pinkie.
"I'm not saying anything else Pink."
"Oh come on!"
"What is she talking about?"
"Toxy, its okay if you two didn't kiss."
"Tox what is she talking about?" Twilight asked.
"Ugh, fine. We both were in a locked trance onto each other until Maud came in and ruined the moment."
"My, my, someone's smitten."
"Rarity, please. Not, now. It still kills me I didn't make a move. Anyways...." Tox asked. "So, any of you guys have plans for today?"
"I have to go help finish setting up the Welcome New Students party. Wanna help?" Pinkie asked.
"I don't see why not, I've got nothing else to do. Sure, of course. But wait, what about everyone else?"
"You don't worry them darling, we'll tell them you're out." Rarity answered.
"Thanks Rarity. Lets go Pink!"
"Okie-doki-loki!"
Both Tox and Pinkie zoomed out of the house and entered into Tox's Plymouth Fury car, and drove off to the high school again. So the two of them moved their way down the hallways and over to the gym where they were setting up the party, only for...
"Oh my god! What happened here!?"
The entire gym party that Pinkie had set up had been completely destroyed. The streamers were all torn up, the banners had been tagged, the tables had been tossed over, and walls had been spray painted in black. Pinkie's puffy hair had suddenly deflated into just straight hair giving sign of depression. Tox looked around at some of the damage to see if there were any clues but so far he hadn't found anything. He found a few remains of balloons that were popped, more destroyed banners, and a few more tables knocked over. But as he looked up he saw that they had camera's set on the side. Tox immediately got an idea. He proceeded to speed out of the room and teleported himself into the security room using the amulet once again, and sat at the desk looking at the security monitors.
"Alright, my little eyes in the sky, what did you pick up last night?"
Tox hit a few keys and soon a video from the night before began to play.
As his one eye examined the footage, he could sees that a few students in Crystal Prep uniforms had snuck into the place the during the Friday night the girls were having a sleepover, and they had trashed the place. The camera luckily managed to catch a few familiar faces like Neon, Royal, Jet Set, and even Suri. Tox immediately stopped showing the footage after seeing them.
I can't believe this, what reason what would they have to trash the place?
As he teleported himself back over to the gym where Pinkie still stood, Tox thought back to their last encounters with them but he couldn't find any reasons for them trashing the gym, outside of either wanting back at Tox or just to destroy CHS's reputation. But he didn't think long about what happened the night before because his focus was onto Pinkie right now who looked like she was about to cry over all of her hard work gone for nothing.
"Oh, Pinks... I'm... I'm so sorry."
Pinkie's lip quivered and her eyes were watering with sadness. The sight of a girl who wanted to make everyone smile suddenly now ready to cry was extremely heart wrenching.
"No, no, please. Don't cry..." Tox pleaded.
Luckily an idea popped into his head. So when Pinkie didn't even take a glance at him, Tox performed a spell on himself which created a big flash and that got Pinkie's attention, but when she turned she didn't see anything.
"Pink! Over here! Right behind you!"
Pinkie turned around to see he was face to face with a very little pony. Pinkie was looking down at a small little pony, who was Toxigo. He had green fur, a ruffled up mane, one mechanical talon for his prostetic limb, pointy robot ears, and he had a toxic symbol for a cutie mark. Pinkie's hair then puffed back up to normal and was in Aw at the sight of the green pony.
"Omigosh, you're so adorable!"
Pinkie immediately gave Tox a big squeezing hug. "Uh Pink? I can't... I can't, breathe!"
"Oh, my bad. So wait, is that your original form?"
"Yes, this is what I actually look like. This is what I look like. I'm a unicorn back in Equestria."
"But wait, why did you turn back into that?"
"Because I didn't want to see one of my best friends cry. I wanted to get a smile on your face. And I can see it worked."
Pinkie gave a smile back but then looked back at all of the damage that had been done. "How am I going to fix all of this?"
"Why not let a little bit of unicorn magic assist you?" Tox offered.
Pinkie accepted Tox's offer, and soon the two of them began to spruce up, and spice up the gym to restore it. The banners were restored to normal, the tables were nice and clean, the streamers were hung in their proper places, and everything that had been ripped to pieces, broken, or shattered, had been repaired.
Once the final banner had been restored, Tox spoke up to look at Pinkie with a grin. "Alright, now that its fixed, what do you say to a little celebration?"
"Yes, of course!"
Tox then in a bright energy glow transformed back into his human form again once more, but had to crouch down and held onto his stomach in pain.
"You okay Toxy?" Pinkie asked.
"I'm fine. Its just the magic is a little heavy on my system. Very rare do I perform a transformation. If I do, it kind of sucks all of the magic out of me, only for it to come back the very next day." Tox replied, still breathing heavily.
Back on his feet, Toxigo pressed play on a little CD player that was near the stage and soon music began to play again. This time, the song that was playing was The Spectacle by Countess Coloratura. Tox and Pinkie both jammed out to the music that had came from her song, and this time out of nowhere, Tox ponied up once again and Pinkie's eyes were locked onto that.
"Okay, this is just getting random now." Tox said as he floated himself back onto the ground.
"What do you mean?"
"I keep ponying up every time for random reasons and I don't know why. First it happened when I helped save Applebloom, then it came to being honest with Applejack, then defending Rainbow Dash, and now I pony up just by dancing with you? I don't get how this works."
"I think you're like us. All of us pony up when we're really passionate about our hobbies. You're obviously from Equestria, and I think you have the same reactions just like we all do."
"Yes but how am I connected to you guys? I have no history with you guys whatsoever so how can I possibly be related to any of you? So how can I possibly pony up like all of you when you're all connected to the magic?"
"Maybe we'll find out another time. We should probably tell the others we're done."
"Good idea. And once it hits Monday, I'm laying all of this evidence over to Celestia, she deserves to know our rivals have struck again. "
"Agreed."
Tox and Pinkie then left the building, locked the door and went back to their own homes to await for Monday next week to reveal the hard evidence, for the damage...
Nightfall had struck. Over back at the Dazzlings camp, the three were sitting around a campfire discussing a new plan to try and get their magic back, and to escape from the human world.
"Come on Adagio, its not going to work. That eye-patched freak is too smart and he knows how to stop us." Aria grumbled.
"Maybe so, but we can take advantage of his abilities. We just need to get one of those pesky Rainbooms then we can get his magic."
"But how?"
"I'm working on it!" Adagio yelled in anger.
Little did they know that they were being watched upon by a pair of green eyes in the forest. The figure kept herself hidden in the trees, but soon her cover was blown by a mere step on a twig, which got the Dazzlings attention.
"Someone's there!" Sonata exclaimed.
"Its obvious, Sonata, you didn't have to state the obvious." Aria complained.
They got ready into fighting stances as they saw a shadowy figure walking into their camp area. The darkness kept her covered until she had finally stepped their way over revealing to be...
"Sunset Shimmer?" Adagio asked in shock.
"Hello Sirens. Its been a while."
"Why are you here?" Aria grumbled.
"I only came to here to strike a deal with you. I understand you're lacking magic at the moment and I was wondering if maybe we could work together. For both of our interests..."
"And why would we do that and... Wait a minute. Sunset never talks like that. Sunset Shimmer never talked like that at all. Who are you?"
Sunset slowly smirked looking incredibly malicious. Suddenly twisted her head to the left facing up and the sound made a big cracking noise leaving Sonata cringing in disgust. Sunset then turned her head facing them once again now her eyes glowing menacing green, and she spoke with a bit of distortion in her voice. "Let me introduce myself, I am Chrysalis. Queen Chrysalis."
"Wait a minute, Queen of the Changelings?"
"The same one, Adagio. Now let me explain, I've recently been tracking magic... Alicorn magic, actually."
"I don't follow." Sonata shrugged.
"I'll explain that my dear Sonata. Me and my soldiers have been searching for food for my subjects, but I suddenly have felt a disturbance... a disturbance which alerted my presence of magic used from the Alicorn Amulet, a powerful amulet that can grant its user the powers of the alicorn, which is more power than the mighty Princess Celestia. But as for how it managed to work its way into this world, I'll never know. But honestly, I don't care. And then I learned about how a former student of Princess Celestia has been living here, along with three Sirens who feed off of everyone's hatred to rule the world... Suddenly, a perfect opportunity had awakened..."
"Why were you searching for us?" Adagio asked.
"Because I know you all have been banished from Equestria and you would absolutely care to come back to your own world to take over again. And I know that the former student of Celestia's is a friend of ugh... Princess Twilight. Taking her would make a perfect reason for the Royal Sisters to give up and let us take over. So, why not cut a deal. I understand that there are certain girls including this world's Twilight Sparkle who've been keeping you from getting your escape to Equestria. I'll help you kidnap them, and then once we have them, we will all head back to Equestria. Once we arrive, we begin planning our attack on Canterlot.... Hehehehe...First Canterlot, then all of Equestria. Interested?"
The three Dazzlings all then gathered into a huddle to discuss an agreement.
"Adagio, I'm not so sure about this. She feeds off love, we feed off of hate, I don't know how much we can work together." Aria responded.
"What choice do we have? Its either work with her, or be forever stuck in this world with no power. So lets just go along with it for now, and wait to see if she is going to betray any of us." Adagio replied.
Adagio paused for a moment, then gave a dastardly evil smile. "I think we can come to an agreement my good queen. One question though, there's someone who possesses that Alicorn Amulet you speak of, and he's been keeping us from escaping as well. How exactly do we take him out?"
"Don't worry... I've got a plan. Once he's alone, we strike and steal that Amulet. But... if we can't take that Amulet before we leave with the hostages, then when we stage Canterlot, we hold these 'human equivalents' as ransom, and demand for the Amulet. If we possess it, our power will be so strong, no force on this putrid planet or in Equestria can stop us.... Now, do we have a deal?" Chrysalis extended a hand out to shake.
Adagio took kindly to Chrysalis's offer, and shook hands with her.
Chrysalis gave a smile back towards Adagio, and spoke again. "Glad we all can work together towards a common goal...."
A new plan had been put into motion. Sirens and Changelings, hatred and love, two opposites, working side by side towards a common goal....
Chapter 11: Weekend at Toxigo's
Another week had past for the students at Canterlot High, for them it was just same old, same old. But for Sunset's friends, they were going onto another hang out with Toxigo. This time, they were invited over to his house for a sleepover for Friday evening, so all of them were finally going to be able to see his new home. All 7 of them have brought their sleeping bags and gear and were either walking or driving their way to Tox's. As they saw the front lawn and outer exterior look of it they could see a few things. The outside of it looked like a Japanese styled house with arches going out on the corner ends, with a mini swamp surrounding the front with a few plants and lily pads floating, and there was one pathway walking over to the door. Along with those, there were small trees with pink flowers blooming from them that were on opposites sides of the bog water.
"Oh my goodness, I love the nature. Its breathtaking." Fluttershy said with happiness.
"Not bad. Very nice." Applejack responded after.
"Are we going stay and watch his bog grow or are we going inside?" Rainbow complained.
The group then walked on the cobblestone pathway over to the door and knocked.
"Who is it?"
"We're here!" Pinkie called out in a sing-song voice.
Tox opened up the door, and gestured for them to come inside.
"Welcome to my home."
The seven girls were going 'Oohs' and 'Ahs' at some of the things that were inside his home. The saw some posters for pegasi flyers called the Wonderbolts, a few plants, and old and unusual objects that they could only assume were relics or mementos from back in Equestria.
While they were looking around they also saw a few bookshelves built into the walls with such a huge amount of books that Twilight had to keep herself from constantly harassing Tox just to see what he had. As they moved their way over to the living room where Toxigo was hanging out they also saw a few bathrooms, a very large kitchen, and what they could guess was an office room but it was closed and locked. So they entered into the living room where a TV show was playing on the station.
"How did you get this place?" Rarity asked. "It is extravagant."
"Well, I can't say much, but I will say this. Apparently the portal to Equestria and back to Earth turns my golden coins into very high amount of cash. And with that, I got to pick the house I want, and I just simply needed to move my belongings over into my new home." Tox replied.
Once everyone took a seat on any bit of couches or chairs, everyone then proceeded to find a seat on any area of furniture and while they began their conversation they also looked at some of the things he had inside of his house.
"Oh, can I offer any of you a drink of any kind?" Tox asked.
Soon Tox started offering them drinks, some of them which took kindly and said yes.
They caught sight of many old items that Tox explained were old items he brought over from Equestria, some DVDs on shelves, and some more random items. Eventually the group started watching TV and eating snacks. And as the slumber party continued, they got to learn a little more about him, and a few more things about Equestria.
"So wait, you tried to make an online video series giving info on where you're from, but people took it as a joke?" Rainbow asked.
"Yes. It started out just as me attempting to get help to say I'm from another world, but as others saw it, they just assumed it was a comedy show. People never took it seriously. But then again I'm a human trying to tell someone I'm from a world filled with magical flying horses. Who's the crazy one now." Tox replied.
Everyone gave a nod, but Fluttershy could see Rarity's attention wasn't on their conversation. "Toxigo darling, I apologize for staring, but what is that around your neck?" Rarity asked politely.
"Oh this? This everyone, is the Alicorn Amulet." Tox replied.
Everyone's face shown they were intrigued by the golden jewel.
"What exactly does the 'Alicorn Amulet' do?" Applejack asked.
"The Alicorn Amulet basically gives a pony the powers of the Alicorn, its pretty powerful stuff." Sunset replied with a smile, but then grew dark. "But there's a bit of a side effect to it..."
"What do you mean by side effect?" Fluttershy asked.
"One of the effects include that the more it gets used, the more corrupted the pony becomes. And there are a certain amount of spells that just cannot be performed like duplicating another target, changing one's gender, bringing one back from the dead, time travel, super speed, immortality, etc" Tox finished.
"Oh... my..." Fluttershy cooed.
Everyone nodded at Fluttershy's response. However, a question had erupted into Sunset's mind.
"Wait, if that amulet can corrupt anyone or 'anypony', how come it's not corrupting you?" Rarity asked raising a brow.
Immediately everyone stared at Tox with a hint of awkwardness at Rarity's question.
"Thats... actually a very good question." Tox replied. "I don't know why. This thing has a mind of its own mind you. But for some reason everytime I use my magic, I don't think it did anything. But honestly I'm just thankful I'm not corrupted and hellbent on trying to attack any of you. But, just in case, if I am actually corrupted and I don't know it, please pull this thing off my neck immediately. Now, how's anyone up for some video games?"
Soon the night continued on as the group continued with more games. Soon it came to them playing Twister, some action video games, and watching some movies and so forth. Eventually everyone went to sleep and drifted off into their dreams through the night. But all that went onto Toxigo's mind was knowing his entire situation now. Sunset knows that he's from Equestria, he's had a run in with the Shadowbolts twice now in the 2 weeks he's tried to avoid them, and now he's got the Dazzlings to deal with who are bent on returning back to Equestria. Netherless, they can be stopped, and they will be stopped.
The next morning, Tox was up making breakfast while some of his favorite tunes were playing from an iPod mounted on a radio. Everyone was still asleep, but they knew eventually the smell of sizzling bacon and steaming pancakes would wake them up. For now his mind was focused on making the food. Just keep your eye on the food. Eye on the food...
"Alright... golden, fluffy, pancakes. Lets see here..."
He grabbed the flour already in the measuring cup and poured it in making a huge splash of flour hitting his face.
"*Cough*" Tox soon began hacking up some of the flour that accidently went into his mouth onto the floor. "Great. There goes that batch."
After sweeping up the mess he made and grabbing the now ruined batter, he dumped the bits into the trash and chucked the bowl into the sink.
"Now lets try and make this work."
Once again, making an attempt not to screw up actually succeeded this time in making the pancake batter. Soon the pitter-patter of feet made his ears twitch up and he listened in, and met the sight of Sunset Shimmer in her PJs coming in to the kitchen.
"Is something burning?" Sunset asked.
"Morning Shimmer-cakes." Tox smiled.
"Oh, Tox. Good morning." Sunset gave a friendly smile back.
"Sleep well?"
"Yeah, I slept great." Sunset replied.
"Pancakes?" Tox offered as he flipped one into the air only for it to go through the small metal spike on his left ear. "It would help if I could see what I'm doing, my depth perception is incredibly off."
"Oh yes, thank you. That's so sweet of you." Sunset cooed.
After getting the pancake off his ear and into the trash can before simply grabbing a pancake, putting it on a plate, and handing it to Sunset.
"So... what's up Shimmer-cakes?" Tox grinned.
Sunset giggled at Tox's nickname for her. "Not a whole lot actually. And now with the lack of activity going on with the Dazzlings, I'm starting to get a little worried."
"I'm sure they're probably either giving up or thinking of some long, complicated and extensive plan for revenge. Which by the way, they're not gonna succeed with because I'm around. And I'm not gonna let them hurt you or any of you guys."
"Aw...thanks." Sunset replied before eating another pancake. "Oh, something I wanted to ask. Do you have any hobbies?" Sunset asked.
"What do you mean?" Tox asked.
"Like special skills, things that you're good at?" Sunset inquired.
"Um... Yeah I guess so. Why?" Tox asked.
"Well all I seem to see you do so far in these last few weeks are that you're good at athletics, but that's about it." Sunset replied.
"Actually, I am good at some stuff. Like, uh... Oh." Tox stopped.
Their attention turned to Rarity who's hair was in a frizzy mess, and she was wearing a pink fuzzy robe.
"Morning Rare." Tox said with a smile.
"Morning Tox." Rarity replied groggily.
"You sleep well?"
"Yes I did in fact. Those mattresses were very comfortable."
"That's good. Pancakes?"
"Sure, thank you."
Rarity then sat on a stool chair sitting at the concrete counter top that was on the left of the stove where Tox was cooking, and Tox continued to talk.
"I'm pretty good with technology, as you can tell by the prosthetic limb and the ears. I made all of those myself." Tox said with pride.
"Whoa, that's pretty cool." Sunset replied.
"And there's actually some other things I've been working on with my tech. You want to see what I built?" Tox asked.
Later, once all of the girls were finally awake and still in their PJs, Tox led them to his garage where his red 1957 Plymouth Fury rested, and saw some tables and other things covered in sheets. Tox pulled the sheet off of a table revealing a what appeared as a robot. Its shape was as a teenage girl, its titanium covering was bronze colored, and one feature that stood out, it possessed hair styled and colored exactly like Rainbow Dash.
"Whoa... what is that?" Sunset asked.
"Friends, meet Echo. One of my failed experiments. I tried building her to be my own friend when I was alone. Alas, I had no luck." Tox replied.
"How come it looks a little like me?" Rainbow asked sounding very curious.
"Long story short, I was looking for a model to base it off of, and you were the first person in my view point, so I just took a photo and modeled it after you. I... hope that's not too disturbing?" Tox hesitated.
"That's kind of creepy... but, a little awesome." Rainbow replied. "Can she work?"
Tox shook his head. "I tried but... she just isn't going to work. I tried everything I could, but it's not working. Now, she just sits here, collecting dust."
The girls all looked at the face of the bronze automaton as its eyelids were closed and expression was neutral, until Pinkie spoke up.
"Why not use the amulet around your neck to activate it?" Pinkie suggested.
A metaphorical light bulb hung over Tox's head, and he gave a wicked smile. "I hadn't considered that before... Let me try."
Tox held his hands onto the amulet around his neck, his eye closed, and the girls watched in awe as they watched blue energy flow from the amulet go right into the open port of the android. But once the stream had finished flowing.... nothing happened. Not a sound was made, not a gear turned, not a whir or a clank was emitting from the robot.
Tox sighed in annoyance and pulled out a sheet to cover up the robot once again. "Well, I guess not every machine or invention is destined to work."
Sunset walked over to Tox and held him in a hug and patting his back. "I'm so sorry..."
"That's okay. I do actually have some experiments that work. You girls want to see what did work?" Tox offered.
The girls said 'yes', and Tox showed them over to another covered sheet and stopped. "Now... before I show any of you this stuff, I need to tell you something. What I made is probably not 100 percent legal. When Midnight Sparkle came to power, I became worried about what any other threats from Equestria would come here, and so I had to develop my own little...defenses. You promise not to tell anyone what you see?" Tox asked.
Everyone nodded, but Tox wasn't the least bit convinced.
"Do you swear?"
A few of them groaned. "Cross my heart, hope to fly, stick a cupcake in my eye." everyone finished.
Tox rose a finger wondering what they said, but then stopped. "I take that as yes then?"
"Can you just show us already?" Rainbow complained.
"Alright, alright. Here we go." Tox pulled the sheet off revealing three different weapons. But these weren't ordinary weapons, they were the latest in high technology. Made out of titanium, steel, copper, and computer technology. Each one of them were in their own design. One was styled like a heavy Gatling gun, another one was set like a mini-gun that would be mounted on someone's arm, and another one was set as a standard high tech science fiction rifle, with a little counter on the side showing how many shells were in it.
"These are the LED Light Cannons. High powered weapons that run on energy cells and are specifically designed to counteract against magic. I didn't know when I'd have access to magic, so I built these little babies so if a threat or entity makes it way here from Equestria-"
Tox then smirked to the girls as he cocked the rifle. "I'm ready for them."
"Oooh.... cool." Pinkie remarked.
"How did you ever build these?" Fluttershy asked.
"Well Fluttershy, when you take several years of technology based classes like if you're taking shop, robotics, engineering, and if you got your cutie mark for making a piece of technology back in Equestria, that's how you become good at it." Tox smiled.
"Well that's all dandy and all, but, how exactly do these weapons work?" Applejack asked.
"You want to see?" Tox asked.
Applejack nodded.
"Follow me ladies." Tox asked.
Tox walked them over to another area of his home, into a big dark room. The lights flickered on revealing what looked like a giant lab. Many parts of machines, gears, and other appliances. It was extremely messy, so messy that you couldn't even tell what items he had in there.
The group walked over to a small little area that was boxed in, and they could see on the wall there was a cardboard cutout of Abacus Cinch, who had spray painted devil horns and a mustache.
Twilight was about to question it, until Tox interrupted.
"If you're questioning the devil Cinch I have at the end over there... I was going through a rough time. So, who wants to go first? Sunset? You want to try?"
"Sure."
So Tox pulled out the mini-gun and began teaching her how to use it.
"Okay, so first thing, strap it so its above your wrist." Tox instructed.
Sunset strapped it to her arm, and tightened it.
"Okay, now to get it to fire, you hold that loose bar that's wired to the gun, and press the red button. That will shoot the energy."
Sunset aimed the mini-gun towards the cardboard cut out, closed one eye to focus, and hit the trigger sending a huge amount of force pushing her back and falling towards the ground.
"Ow..."
"Oh my god, I'm so sorry! I should have warned you, there's a bit of a kick in them." Tox hissed.
Sunset raised a thumbs up to let them know she was okay, much to everyone's relief.
Eventually everyone was learning to use the light cannons and they were starting to get the hang out how they worked.
"I must say darling, this is quite generous of you to let us try and use these things." Rarity remarked.
"Well as far as what you guys told me, you're defenders of this area since evil entities from Equestria like coming over to Canterlot High. Besides, it feels pretty good to help a friend, and I find it quite fun to show you guys things that I've made."
Tox's face drooped as he felt a whir of energy flowing inside of his body. "Oh god no, not again!"
Tox had ponied up again, this time responding to being generous to his friends, only this time he only went so far as to hit the top of the ceiling and he fell down landing on his back.
"Oooh...." The girls reacted.
"That's got to hurt." Rainbow reacted.
Only until a piece of machinery from the side came down and fell on him, making him groan in pain.
"Not as much as that." Applejack replied.
Tox raised a hand in the air with a thumbs up saying he was okay, and pushed the parts off of him, once he stood back up his face shown he was less than amused.
"Okay... this is just becoming extremely random. Even I don't understand this impossible shit!" Tox complained.
Sunset scratched her chin in thought over his pony ups, but sadly couldn't come up with a conclusion. He ponied up every time he was repeating one of their own elements, but she couldn't figure out why.
"I don't know. I'll send a message to Princess Twilight asking about that." Sunset reassured, getting a nod from Tox. After clearing all of the junk that had fallen on him, he looked at them with a friendly smile and asked a question.
"Anyone want to go out for lunch?"
Chapter 12: A Shadowed Truth
Over at a fast food joint, five Shadowbolt girls were all eating out and having a blast, enjoying each other's company. Well, not all of them...
"Alright girls, got your shakes." Indigo replied.
Indigo got a few thanks from them, and took a seat and drank out of her chocolate shake, however she had a look of sadness on her face.
"Indigo? Dearie are you okay?" Sunny asked.
Indigo sighed. "No..."
"Its our failure to make amends with Tox, isn't it?" Sugarcoat bluntly asked.
Indigo just gave a snarling look at Sugarcoat.
"I think that's pretty obvious, Sugarcoat." Sour Sweet replied.
Indigo just buried her face in her hands, and groaned a bit. "Yeah..."
Sunny simply just pat Indigo's back feeling sympathy for her friend.
"Does anyone have any ideas on how we can make up with him?" Indigo asked, and at that moment Lemon coughed out a bit of her fries. Taking in a breather, she looked at Indigo with a look of unamuse.
"Are you sure that's a good idea? You saw him, he's stronger now. He's got a freaking arm cannon." Lemon whined.
"Doesn't anyone else wonder how exactly he possesses weaponry?" Sunny asked.
Everyone paused and scratched their chins all in deep thoughts. It was strange that he had weapons, but more importantly, how exactly did he get them?
"Black market deals? Witch doctors? Genies?" Sugarcoat offered.
Sour and Sunny shared a look of disbelief towards Sugarcoat. They refused to believe in any sort of the supernatural. But after their encounters with magic at the Friendship Games, they'd almost believe anything now.
"Wait, hold on. I think I might got something." Indigo spoke up, grabbing their attention. "I remember a while back when we dated he was pretty good with technology. Maybe he built that arm after I.... I ran him over." Indigo somberly finished as a lip quivered.
"How can he build something with one hand?" Lemon inquired. "That kind of seems impossible."
"Not impossible. Improbable. You can still do things with one hand, however its very difficult." Sugarcoat replied.
"I'm kind of surprised the dude isn't dead yet. Shouldn't our stunts killed him?" Lemon asked.
"Yeah, they should. But all we did was make it worse by making him stronger and... its... there's nothing we can do to make up for it!" Indigo yelled before slamming her face against the tables and sobbing into her arms.
Lemon could only help by moving over and holding her friend in a tight hug, all the while the other three were contemplating what to do.
"Wait, I got an idea." Sour asked. "What if Twilight and those other girls she's now friends with? We know he's friends with them, maybe if we find them, we can find Toxigo." she sweetly finished. "Of course they probably won't listen as well."
"I say we try it!" Lemon said with pride, only to get disagreeing faces. "Or we could we leave him alone and we won't shot at." Lemon hesitated and she slid down her chair.
Indigo gave her idea some thought, and sighed. "Well, if we're gonna make up with him, we might as well do it while he's around some of his friends. Maybe they won't let him attack us."
"Oh he'll attack you alright." a voice from the left called.
The girls heads turned to the left table and saw Neon sneering at them, and they all groaned in annoyance. They didn't want to be dealing with an old enemy.
"What do you want Neon?" Sour grumbled.
"Oh nothing. Just thanking you for giving me an idea on finding him." with that, Neon chuckled and walked away leaving them to ponder as to what he meant.
Indigo's head raised up in a flash and her heart began pounding. She knew exactly what Neon was saying.
"Oh my god, he's gonna kill him!" Indigo quivered.
"Well, what do we do?" Sour asked.
"We've got to get there first! Lets go!" Indigo and the girls were about to take off, but they stopped to see they left their milkshakes on the table.
"And take the milkshakes with us." Sugarcoat stated.
They raced back, grabbed their shakes, and headed for Indigo's car, hoping to intercept them before Neon could get a chance.
Over in another part of town, Sunset, Toxigo, and all of them were driving over to place to hang out. Where were they going to this time? Well, now they were going over to a skating rink in an attempt to teach Tox how to skate. However, the trip over wasn't so smooth.
SCREECH
"Will you keep your eyes on the road!?" Rarity shouted.
"I'm trying! I can barely see what I'm doing, I can't see straight!" Tox argued.
"Remind me why we asked him to drive?" Twilight asked.
"I thought he would get us there fine!" Rainbow complained.
After 10 more minutes of bickering, they finally made it over to a parking spot, but everyone was too shaken up by they parked. The look on Tox's face shown he was incredibly scared to even set foot out of the car.
"I told you one of you should drive instead of me. All of that, that we just went through... that is why I don't drive!" Tox spewed.
"If you don't drive, then what's the point of that red old car we saw in the garage?" Applejack asked.
"That was a prop from a 1980s horror movie about a possessed killer car that I bought when I was still a Shadowbolt." Tox replied.
The doors unlocked and the girls slowly moved out of Sunset's car, all still shaking from Tox's crazy driving. Sunset had to hold onto the side of the car just keep her balance. But as she was about to make another step she almost fell forward, but luckily a synthetic hand helped her catch her balance.
"Whoa. You okay Shimmercakes?" Tox asked.
"I'll be fine." Sunset replied blushing at Tox's question.
"Why do you keep calling her Shimmercakes?" Pinkie asked.
"Well, its uh... you see, uh.... well... Never ask me that again please." Tox quickly replied.
The girls and one boy walked inside of the skating rink, and took a seat at a table to get some food. And while they waited, Toxigo who had never been at CHS before, was getting the complete explanation over what had been happening at CHS the last couple of times they've dealt with magic.
"So wait, the Dazzlings are actually sea horse, hybrid, things?" Tox asked sounding unsured.
"Yep." Pinkie replied with a smile.
"Huh. But wait, another question, I got to ask. Has anyone else besides you 7 and me included do that, pony, up, thing?" Tox asked.
"Actually yeah, there are. Two other students over at CHS have the exact same power. One of them being Flash, and the other one being a student named Coppermane." Twilight replied.
"I'm not familiar with that name. Who is he?" Tox asked raising a brow.
"That's Fluttershy's boyfriend! He was a former CPA student like you, had the same bullies, and then he moved over to our school, but then we encountered two big meanies who kept pushing him around, until he finally stood up to them declaring his love for Fluttershy and ponied up like all of us declaring two new Elements of Harmony!" Pinkie exclaimed making a Cheshire cat grin when she finished.
Tox froze trying to process the onslaught of information Pinkie just tossed his way.
"Um.... Okay. That's, a little confusing. What's an Element of Harmony?"
Sunset questioned as to how he didn't know what it was, but then remembered had lived on Earth longer than he had in Equestria.
"I'll explain that to you later. It'd take too long to explain." Sunset replied.
"And it would take too long to explain in this part of the story!" Pinkie winked.
"I..." Tox then cleared his throat, and remembered the old truth about Pinkie. It's just Pinkie being Pinkie, don't question it.
So Rarity, Sunset, and Tox were the first one's to go out onto the skating track. While Sunset and Rarity had already gotten the hang of skating, Tox was still trying his best not to trip and fall flat on his face.
"Toxy, you got to move with your body. Force yourself to the left when going that direction!" Sunset instructed.
"I'm trying! Its a little hard to move in these infernal blades! Whoa-oh!" Tox accidently leaned forward and fell down. "I'm okay!"
Rarity helped Tox up, and soon she and Sunset began giving more helpful tips and instructions, and pretty soon Tox was beginning to get the hang of it.
"That's it, you're doing great!" Sunset cheered.
Outside of the track, the rest of the girls were watching and giving cheering support. But little did they know someone else had been watching.
In the darkness of the area, hidden, were a pair of green threatening eyes that had been watching all of them for a while. The eyes leered at them, until their attention was over to the left and watched 5 girls run over to the Rainbooms.
"What are they doing here?" Applejack's eyebrows furled.
"Look, we came to warn you. Neon's on his way!" Indigo explained.
"Why should we believe you?" Fluttershy argued.
"I don't expect any of you to believe me, but right now he's outside and he's cracking his knuckles." Indigo refuted.
Their heads turned to see Neon running down their way pushing Indigo and Lemon out of the way and finding a spot to stand in the track to get ready to make his swing.
"Tox! Look out!" Indigo shouted.
Indigo's cry alerted Tox's ears and sure enough, he found Neon standing in the way, and in a perfect moment, he grinded the wheels to a halt and stood standing staring down Neon. Tox took off the roller skates and made cracking sounds with his neck, stretching. But little did Neon know, Tox had pressed a button on the side of the snythetic arm that had done something that he didn't know.
"Its been a while since I've seen you, isn't it?" Neon deviously smirked.
"Been too long, Neon..." Tox's eye began glowing with a scary yellow.
"Why don't we finish this once and for all?" Neon asked.
"Yes... why don't we?" Tox snarled.
Neon was now beginning to regret having saying those words and driving down to the skating rink to begin with. It looked as if Toxigo was beginning to power up and was going to unleash a full on power blast. His eye turned into a yellow empty void, his fists began fusing with energy He backed up for a few feet, until--
"Stop!" Indigo shouted, her voice echoing all over the skating rink.
Tox's fists no longer were fusing with power, and all became silent. Indigo listened as not a sound was emanating from Toxigo, only for him to turn around with his eye now an empty void of glowing scary yellow.
Indigo's eyes bulged out of fear. She began to regret having made her decision.
"T-Toxy?" Indigo pleaded.
Toxigo slowly began walking towards Indigo void of any expression on his face other than anger, and Indigo began backing up as well trying to get away from the power induced maniac.
Sour stood in the way to try and stop him, but Toxigo unfazed by Sour just swatted her to the side like a bug and she landed on the ground. Lemon tried to do the same, but Tox just stomped on her foot and kicked her right to the crotch, taking her down to the ground.
"Okay.... that hurt..." Lemon winced while on the ground.
Sugarcoat began standing in the way, but she quickly was taken down, and followed by Sunny who was grabbed by the face and shoved forcefully to the ground. Sunset and the girls tried to go after him but they kept bouncing off of him like a shield had formed itself over him, making him impossible to strike.
Indigo was now backed up against a wall, face to face with her broken, disabled, and now power corrupted ex-boyfriend. No where to go, no where to run, and nothing she could do to stop him. She felt energy raising her up into the air as she was pinned against the wall as if gravity were forcing her against it, making it impossible for her to move her limbs.
"Toxy... please!" Indigo pleaded.
"After you got off scot-free for nearly killing me? Letting you go is the last thing I prepared to do to you!"
Sunset ran over to where they were and stood right behind Toxigo, but was aware she was seen.
"Toxy, please. This isn't you! That amulet, its corrupting you. That power is turning you evil! You have to stop!" Sunset shouted.
Toxigo's only movement was his head which twisted around looking at Sunset behind her.
"This horrendous bitch needs to die! She along with her friends have gotten away with nearly murdering me for too long! Its time she pays the price and finally understanding what happens when you mess with an entity you don't understand." Tox turned her head back at Indigo still shaking with fear.
"Please..." Indigo was now crying. She had never been so scared to face her own death.
"Scared, aren't we? Now you understand how I felt, when I was lying down on the road, awaiting my fate for death. But instead, a much more suiting path came for me... one that will lead to your demise..."
Indigo's friends were quaking in fear over what was going to happen, but out of nowhere, Rainbow Dash wearing a long gray coat that stretched all the way down to her feet began charging towards Tox, Sunset, and Indigo.
"Sunset, you take that amulet, I take Indigo!" Rainbow ordered.
Sunset didn't want to, but it seemed as there was no choice. Tox's synthetic arm powered up, getting ready to blast Indigo into an oblivion, Rainbow managed to break through the magic and tackled her to the ground as the blast shattered the wall into bits of rubble, and for Sunset to tackle Toxigo to the ground.
Once Indigo was down, Rainbow unexpected pulled out a weapon from the bottom of her coat pocket which was a mini pistol, and began firing shots towards Toxigo's arm which began putting holes in it.
"Rainbow, what are you doing!?" Sunset shouted. She couldn't believe her eyes. But when she turned around and saw her friends standing, there was... Rainbow Dash still with them? But, that's impossible. Two Rainbow Dash's?
However, Toxigo was still distracted by this other Rainbow's firing, and so while he was occupied, Sunset quickly swiped her hand near his neck, grabbed the Amulet, and ripped it off his neck, making a short circuit sound and making his eye flash brightly. His eye reverted back to its black diamond retina, and he backed off in pain from one final blast from the other Rainbow, which shot off the synthetic arm. with all there being left was a few gears and parts to the elbow being all that was still attached, and the rest hit the floor.
Toxigo groaned in pain from the attacks, but then gasped as he looked at the damage he had done. Blowing a hole in the wall, scaring his friends to no end, and nearly murdering someone himself. His actions were starting to become one of a monster. He thought back to all of his actions he had done before: Blowing up Indigo's car in rage, hurting Adagio, almost hurting Neon with firing several energy blasts, pointing a gun at the five Bolts who only wanted to make up with him, and now almost committing an act of murder in a bit of rage.
"Toxy?" Sunset asked. She wasn't sure if her friend was okay.
Tox's eye began filling with heavy amounts of pain and water. Soon a tear leaked down his face and began walking away from everyone.
"Leave me alone... all of you! For your own safety, just leave me be, and you won't die!" Toxigo immediately ran out of the skating arena and didn't look back at everyone's worried faces, leaving behind the golden Alicorn Amulet in front of Sunset's feet.
Neon just smirked at what he seen and spoke up. "You see what I mean? I was trying to stop that asshole from killing any of you. But no, you don't listen because you're just so good with magic aren't you?" Neon mocked Sunset.
Sunset glared at Neon looking incredibly angry.
"But, I suppose he isn't going to hurt you anymore. Later... bitch." Neon insulted and walked away.
Sunset had to keep her best from not bursting out in rage from that insult. But after cooling down, she helped Indigo back up and helped her calm down from the crying.
"I'm, very sorry about that Indigo. I didn't think he was going to burst like that." Sunset said.
"Its... Its okay." Indigo whimpered as Lemon came around and held her in a tight hug, giving her a shoulder to cry on.
"Any chance you can explain as to WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT!?" Lemon shouted in panic. "We've not only made him stronger, we've made him worse!"
"Actually, that wasn't you girls who did that last one." Applejack replied.
"What are you talking about?" Sugarcoat asked.
"I'm afraid the poor dear has been corrupted by a soul sucking amulet." Rarity replied.
"What does that mean?" Sour asked.
"Easy! Tox took a magical amulet from the same world Sunset lives in which was the world opened up by all of those portals from the Friendship Games which also he's from, and he got corrupted by the overdose of power." Pinkie quickly said.
"Hold on a minute. He's from... he's..." Indigo stammered as she was clearing the tears from her face.
"He's Equestrian." Rainbow groaned.
"You mean I've been dating--" Indigo began.
"An immigrant from a magical world?" Sugarcoat interrupted.
"Um.... yes?" Fluttershy quietly responded.
"Wow... I... I'm sorry I... Look. I know, none of us are deserving of a second chance--" Indigo started.
"We really aren't." Sugarcoat interrupted.
"But... we do want to make amends with him, but I don't know how. Any suggestions?" Indigo asked.
Everyone stayed silent thinking for an idea, until an idea popped into Pinkie's head.
"I have an idea!" Pinkie gathered everyone around into a group huddle, and everyone was on board with her idea.
"You sure that's gonna work dude?" Lemon asked.
"Absolutely!" Pinkie smiled.
"Well, its better than no idea." Twilight replied.
"Ahem." Rainbow interrupted getting everyone's attention.
They all turned their heads to look at her, and Rainbow gestured to the other rainbow dressed in the gray trench coat. But they didn't have long to look at her, for their attention was suddenly drawn to a very peculiar sound...
BEEP. BEEP. BEEP. BEEP.
Twilight walked over and found Tox's prosthetic arm, picked up and flipped it over to look at the small screen implanted on the side. Everyone gathered around and saw a little red button that was blinking very slowly for some reason. After a bit of messing with the controls, Twilight finally flipped the screen on.
"Oh, okay. Found the screen button."
On the screen they could see a small radar circle in the lower left, a health gauge in the upper right corner, and a tab on the lower right showing a list. Twilight with her finger pushed on the iPod like screen, revealing a list of very odd items. But one of them stood out. A title with a video icon on the left of it reading Sunset: Please Read.
"Should I press it?" Twilight asked.
Sunset didn't say a word. On one hand, important information could be shown, but on the other hand, it could be a trap. Well, it looked like their choice was clear.
"Hit it."
Twilight pushed on the icon, and a recording began playing.
"Sunset, if you find this message I strongly suggest you and any of our friends listen in. I was well aware of the Alicorn Amulet corrupting me, but unfortunately I'm not strong enough to stop myself from using its power. I may not know what will have happened at this point, but I have made a smarter move in handling my issues with the Bolts. I have sent video evidence to everyone so they will know the truth about the whole situation. If you press the Evidence file, you'll be able to see who has sent it."
Twilight scrolled through the file and found a list of people, and began saying their names out loud.
"Principal Celestia, Vice Principal Luna, Dean Cadence, Police Officer Shining Armor, Principal Cinch, Sunset Shimmer, Twilight Sparkle, Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy, Applejack, Rarity, Flash Sentry..." Twilight rambled off and came to a realization. "He sent it to everyone ."
"However, what some of you don't know is, while everyone has that message, I accidently made the misfortunate of activating a very small detenator. I strongly suggest you guys find a place to put it where it won't hurt anyone, put a helmet on your head, and run like hell." Tox finished.
Now everyone's eyes bulged out of their head. They were in possession of a bomb?
"Self destruction in 10.... 9...."
The trench coat wearing Rainbow Dash grabbed the arm, and began running out the skating area and into the parking lot, and was running off with it.
Everyone ran outside to see the other Rainbow about to toss the bomb, but it set off and blew up in a fiery blaze. Luckily everyone had hidden behind barriers. Their eyes peaked up to see the other Rainbow Dash...not hurt or dead? Only one bit of damage they saw was now the coat was off, and there was a bit of steam emitting from the front of her face, but none of them could get a glimpse of the front of her face.
Sunset began walking up towards the other Rainbow to check on her.
"Hey, are you okay?" Sunset asked.
The other Rainbow turned around to face her, and what Sunset got was a shock. She wasn't dead, but on her left eye, a bunch of her skin was torn off. What's even stranger was she wasn't bleeding any blood, but there wasn't any damage or dent to be seen. The skin fell off revealing bronze titanium skin and a orange glowing eye that stared right on at her.
"What the?" Sunset almost fell back in shock.
The steaming Rainbow Dash turned around, and began walking off into the streets leaving Sunset alone, confused, shocked, and surprised. And that metal, that bronze glimmering metal. It looked very familiar... had the robot they looked at in the garage found her way over to their location?
Author's Notes:
By the way, since the sequel to this is a collaboration/crossover, I felt it would be important to have some early foreshadowing for when the sequel is read, the information displayed here makes sense for later.
Apologies to Magic Step for making this sound confusing but, do not worry, I will explain this part later in the story and hopefully it will make more sense and be a little more clearer.
And also, Magic Step. A fun little game for you, keep track of the order for which Shadowbolts get taken down here. That's coming back to play later
Chapter 13: Resolution of the Past/Element of Generosity
Author's Notes:
Sorry for the wait guys, been wanting to get more words and explanation into these two upcoming chapters. Enjoy it. You too Magic Step.
Also sorry if it seems rushed.
The next day at school, the students continued attending classes as normal, but this time things would be a little different, and it was clear things were different. This time Tox didn't show up to school at all, which made a bit of the staff worried. Until Principal Celestia received a very interesting video.
Later that day, Twilight and Sunset walked through the hallways on her way to the principal's office after being called down.
"You think Principal Celestia got the evidence Tox sent?" Twilight asked.
"I'm not sure." Sunset replied.
"Oh, were you able to talk to him?"
"No. He hasn't responded to any of my calls or texts. I even tried video chatting, but nothing. I've got to ask Principal Celestia if I can go see him." Sunset replied.
"Maybe she will. Oh and were you able to salvage any parts from the uh... explosion?" Twilight hesitated.
"I grabbed as much as I could, A few titanium plates, maybe 2 fingers, and what was left of the control panel." Sunset replied with a look of sadness on her face.
"Sunset are you okay?" Twilight asked.
"Yeah, why?" Sunset replied trying to shrug it off.
"You don't look fine Sunset, and I know you're not. What's wrong?" Twilight asked.
Sunset sighed heavily and looked at Twilight.
"I'm worried. That amulet is now beginning to corrupt him and we barely saved Indigo. You saw the look on his face. What if he's packing his stuff to flee town and never show up again? What if he never wants to talk to me again? What if goes back to Equestria? What if--"
"Sunset! Its okay." Twilight held onto Sunset's shoulders to get her to face her. "I'm sure he hasn't left yet. Lets just go see Principal Celestia, and then I'm sure you can go see him." Twilight smiled.
Sunset gave a smile back and hugged Twilight. "If you say so."
So the two of them reciprocated from the hug and entered in Principal's Celestia office. To their surprise, she had more visitors in the room. In the room as from what they could see, Principal Celestia sitting at her desk with Vice Principal Luna standing beside her, Abacus Cinch standing with Twilight's brother Shining Armor and sister-in-law Dean Cadence. And across sitting from Principal was a not so happy Neon Lights, and a stressed out Indigo Zap, Lemon Zest, Sour Sweet, Sugarcoat, and Sunny Flare.
"You called for us, Principal Celestia?" Sunset asked.
Principal Celestia nodded.
"Why is my brother and Dean Cadence here?" Twilight asked, and the minute she saw Cinch, she began to back up a bit.
"Twily, its okay. Cinch isn't here for personal revenge. In fact, she's actually helped us." Shining Armor replied.
Twilight's attention was then turned back to Principal Celestia speaking.
"It has come to our attention that our newest student had been bullied and still was dealing with it up to today. Am I correct?" Celestia asked.
"Yes." Sunset replied.
"And yesterday, Toxigo Paralysis sent us all this very interesting video footage." Celestia turned her computer monitor around revealing what was sent.
The videos being shown were all footage from his head, everything he had seen in the past, everything providing proof and evidence that he was bullied by the Crystal Prep kids.
The first video shown was him face to face with Sour Sweet, who began off by pushing him down showing in his vision the open arm out on a concrete road.
"Oh no... I think I know what's gonna happen..." Sunset braced for what was going to happen.
The sudden sound of a car revving and turning on was heard. And in a moment they could hear it screeching, as the sound of the engine was speeding closer and closer and closer, and closer....
"Turn it off, turn it off!" Sunset shouted, stressed to see the graphic detail that would be coming up.
Celestia luckily had stopped the video after seeing how stressed out Sunset was.
"I'm very sorry to scare you like that Sunset. Quite frankly, all of us were terrified to see those images." Celestia calmly replied.
"Even I was absolutely shocked to see the behaviors that were displayed." Cinch replied with her eyebrows in anger
Sunset lips snarled from seeing her. She still remembered exactly who this woman was and the actions that followed with her at the Friendship Games.
"Why is she here? Shouldn't she be trying to get more students to follow in her footsteps and protecting her reputation?" Sunset sarcastically asked. Of all the people that could have been in the room with her, she didn't want to deal with Abacus Cinch.
"Sunset, is it?" Cinch asked.
Sunset just slowly nodded, her eyes still giving the cold stare.
"I'll be honest. After an amount of consideration from the Friendship Games, I have come to realize my actions weren't very professional. And, I must admit, I am utterly ashamed. I became so obsessed with my reputation, that I became a ruthless, unjust, sociopathic monster. I did some things that I myself am not too proud of. I did nothing to stop bullying when there was true hard evidence in front of me, I forced Twilight into releasing a supernatural power that even I should have realized was dangerous on its own. If I'd known my actions were going to hurt my own students, I would have done something. But... I didn't. And so, I owe Canterlot High, and you two a serious apology. However, right now we're getting off topic. As of today, a former student of mine and your newest one as I am told, has sent me evidence regarding being... bullied. I couldn't believe my own students nearly stooped to almost committing an act of murder in an attempt to stop a student from wanting to make friends. In fact, this wasn't the first time. Neon Lights along with several of his friends kept on abusing other students to do what he said to keep Crystal Prep a living Tartarus."
"That bastard didn't belong at CPA in the first place, and if supported our school I wouldn't have hurt him now would I?" Neon remarked.
"You watch your foul mouth Neon... Anyways, we will be heavily punishing him for his actions against Toxigo, and for a majority of students of Crystal Prep. Where is Toxigo anyways?" Cinch asked.
"He's not showing up because of something that happened yesterday. And I need to talk to him. He's not returning calls, he won't answer a text, nothing." Sunset replied.
"If you wish to go see him, go right ahead. You have my permission." Celestia replied.
"Thank you. And I will be back with him." Sunset said before stepping out the door.
So as Sunset began heading outside and walking over to the parking lot, everyone still in Principal Celestia's office continued to talk.
"Anyways, I didn't want to believe what I had seen was true, but Shining Armor did bring some very interesting... reports if you will." Cinch replied.
Shining Armor laid photos and documents out on Celestia's desk. Some of that they could see were crime scene photos like of the dislocated arm, and even pages of doctors notes describing the illness and injury.
"All of those just helped back up Tox's evidence. And it just goes to prove more reasons that make me glad Twily had left Crystal Prep so she didn't have to deal with that." Shining Armor then gave a cold stare towards the 6 students sitting in the chairs.
While part of Twilight was thankful she didn't get hurt, she was still terrified of their actions and for her own friend having somehow survived that. She couldn't imagine what he had gone through and could only pray that he was okay.
Sunset drove on a motorcycle all the way over to Toxigo's dojo home, with a box attached and sitting on the back of the bike with what was left of his prosthetic arm and the Alicorn Amulet. Luckily a tarp was strapped over it to keep it in. But all Sunset could think about was whether he was okay or not.
So she parked the motorcycle, grabbed the box and began walking up to the front door. She placed the cardboard box down so she had free hands, and knocked.
"Toxy? You there?"
"Go away!" Tox yelled. Sunset could tell he wasn't okay. He sounded as if he was trying not to cry.
"Toxy, please. Can't we talk?" Sunset pleaded.
"There isn't anything to talk about! I overdosed the use of that infernal amulet, and I almost killed someone. Just leave me be so I won't hurt you!" Tox shouted.
"Please? Can you just talk to me?" Sunset asked.
She listened for a moment and didn't hear a sound, until he spoke again.
"You're not gonna leave until you talk to me, aren't you?" Tox groaned.
"Nope." Sunset bluntly replied.
Tox just moaned and opened the door partway, allowing a bit of light to shine on a side of his face. Sunset saw a bit of Tox she didn't see before. He wasn't wearing an eye patch this time, and surprisingly there was a black and yellow demonic colored eye surrounded by a bunch of skin that looked as if acid corroded part of it.
"Whoa... Is that why you wear the eye-patch?" Sunset asked.
Tox then opened the door all the way to look at her. His face shown major signs of depression, as well as change, his yellow eye had been affected by the amulet, now colored in a demonic red. He was still dressed in the same tank top and short black spandex leggings, but he dropped the belt attached with the short sheet coat.
"Yeah. Its a fake eye by the way. I had it ordered to look this way for a scary factor." Tox weakly joked. "Also... look down at my feet."
"Why?"
"Just... look."
Sunset looked down and she gasped slightly. Apparently he didn't just have a prosthetic arm, but he had a prosthetic right foot. It was metallic, there were some bars and joints keeping it up, only the foot was very talon-like. Two talons out in the front, with a heel behind keeping him balanced.
"But... how? If you've been wearing the boots, how does--"
Sunset's attention was back down as she listened to the sounds of metal clanking, gears turning, and whirring as she saw the talon foot began transforming back into a human foot, but was still metallic.
"Same technology that my once arm was." Tox then opened the door all the way and allowed her to walk in.
"You want anything to drink, or no?" Tox asked.
"Um, no thanks." Sunset replied, and then put the box on a chair. "I, um... got what's left of your arm. It kind of, blew up. I tried to salvage most of it, but most of it kind of, burned..."
"Its fine. I have plenty of metal parts to rebuild it." Tox replied sitting on the couch, and then Sunset followed and sat next to him.
"You.... You want to talk about what happened, yesterday?" Sunset hesitated.
"What's there to talk about Sunset? That amulet transformed me into a raging psychotic monster. I almost killed people, because of that damn thing." Tox's voice was incredibly furious, and his other arm that still possessed flesh was shaking, and his fist was clenched tight on the couch.
"Its not your fault. I didn't think that amulet would stop and take over you like that." Sunset replied.
Tox then stared at Sunset, still keeping the depressed face and asked. "Where's the amulet?"
"I put it in the box..." Sunset hesitated, waiting for Tox to flip out.
"Never take it out of that box. Don't even hand it back to give to me, that thing is too dangerous and I almost killed someone with it, and I can't even go out and face anyone after...af...after what I've...I've done." Tox replied, and sniffed as a tear came down his face.
"Oh Toxy..."
Sunset held Tox in a tight hug and she pat his back to give him comfort, and listened as he cried on her shoulder. No wonder he hadn't left the house. He was too afraid to even step out and see anyone.
"Its okay..." Sunset cooed.
"Sunset, look at me. I'm crying like a baby, I almost killed someone who tried to stop me from killing someone else, I'm disabled, and everyone hates me!"
"Toxy, no..." Sunset's hand was placed onto the side of Toxigo's face, so she could look him in the eye.
"You're not a baby. Not at all. And no one hates you. We still like you, and all of CHS likes you. You helped defend some of our friends, and not to mention that you're from Equestria and you've been nothing but nice, and sweet, and kind to all of us around here. You're my best friend. Don't ever forget that." Sunset finished.
Tox looked at Sunset, but his eyes turned looking away, still not convinced. Sunset was a little disheartened to see him sad, and she came up with one last remark to see if it'd get a smile on his face.
"You know, I understand you're disabled, but... I have to say, the prosthetics kind of make you look like an action hero. That's kind of awesome." Sunset stated.
That compliment got a smile on Toxigo's face and looked at Sunset smiling.
"Thanks."
So, after a bit of silence, Sunset got into thinking, and asked.
"Hey uh, we're having the 'Welcome New Students Party' at school. Want to join us?" Sunset offered.
Tox pondered as to whether or not he should join, but came to agreement. "I would. However, I can't really go until my arm gets repaired. And unfortunately, that's going to take some time. Unless, you want to help repair me?" Tox offered.
Sunset beamed with joy. She was gonna be able to spend more time with Toxy?
"Sure, yeah. I love to!"
"Sweet, follow me."
Toxigo led Sunset over to the garage and the two of them began pulling out parts. A few minutes later one of the tables they cleared off for arm repair was now surrounded by metal, steel, gears, wires, macro-resistors, and many different computer and technology parts.
The remains of the arm that was attached to Toxigo was resting on the table, ready to be repaired, and now Toxigo and Sunset wore workshop outfits.
"Now lets see what we can do to fix this." Tox stated.
Sunset smiled as she flipped down her welder's mask, followed by Tox who flipped down a mask as well. And so activating a blowtorch, they began repairs.
Back at CHS, the 5 Shadowbolt girls were now sitting in the Rainboom's practice room, all sitting patiently with Twilight and the others. However, there was a bit of awkward silence as they just... sat there. No one said a word, no one moved a muscle. The other Rainbooms excluding Twilight just stared down at the Shadowbolts after they were also shown the same video evidence regarding their actions. Nothing but shame could be found on their faces.
"So... how have you've been doing?" Indigo asked trying to break the tension.
All she got back were more angry stares with Twilight being the only one not giving any look of anger towards them.
"Is.... Is Toxigo okay?" Sunny hesitated.
More silence ensued. None of them wanting give them the satisfaction.
"You uh... Any of you single?" Lemon asked.
From that question alone the girls gave her awkward stares.
"I'm only asking!" Lemon with her hands in the air with protest.
Twilight looked down at her phone and received a text from Sunset. Her eyes moved as she read the text, with it reading:
Twilight.
Toxy's okay. I have talked with him, he seems to be alright. However he's not going to be wearing the Alicorn Amulet for a while. However I did manage to help fix him up, and we're heading out the door going back to CHS. See you soon.
Sunset.
Twilight gave a smile and texted back.
Okay. Hope you return soon, right now our friends are kind of going off on a stare off against the Shadowbolts.
After a bit of repairs, Toxigo's arm was finally healed and now Sunset hopped onto her motorcycle, and Toxigo held onto her sides as they rode down the open road on their way to Canterlot High.
As Toxigo looked at the houses and cars speeding right past them, along with the wind blowing against his skin, Sunset kept her eyes out on the road ahead, all the while Toxigo held onto her tight in fear of possibly falling off the bike.
"You okay back there?" Sunset asked.
"I'm fine! Just trying to keep myself from falling off. I've fallen off motorcycles before and it hurts. A lot! Especially when it falls on you."
Sunset couldn't help but chuckle at his witty remark.
10 minutes had passed and finally, they had arrived back at Canterlot High.
Sunset threw the brakes and flipped the parking handle on her motorcycle, and helped Toxigo get off the bike.
"You okay?" Sunset asked.
"I'm good!" Toxigo winced, walking stiff. "Just, give me a minute."
Eventually Toxigo finally healed of his supposed injury and began walking with Sunset inside the school. This time Toxigo now wore the same tank top and short spandex tights, with the belt and waistcoat attached, but this time, he only wore his one left boot with his cutie mark embezzled on the front. He left behind the other boot, allowing everyone to see the other prosthetic limb. It did look more exposed and open without any metal plating over it, but on Toxigo's part it was intentional.
They entered inside and found their way to the practice room. Toxigo opened the door first and gestured for Sunset to go first.
"After you milady?" Tox asked.
"Oh, thanks." Sunset cooed.
Sunset entered in first and her friends all turned their heads giving a friendly smile to her, and an even more friendly smile when Toxigo entered.
"Toxigo?" The five Rainbooms asked. They didn't expect him to return after what had happened yesterday.
"Uh... hey. Sorry for scaring you like that yesterday. I, didn't know what came over me." Toxigo's head hung in shame.
"Hey, don't worry about it." Rainbow replied. "None of us didn't know that Amulet corrupted you and made you go crazy. Uh, no offense."
Tox just sighed. "None taken..."
"Oh come on!!!" Sour complained.
"Seriously?" Sunny whined.
"He gets forgiven but we get an angry stare down?" Lemon stared.
Toxigo then stared at the five girls with a scary look on his face and they quickly stopped complaining. Especially when they saw two parts of him they never seen before. One being the scary glass eye on the left side of his face which made them all gasp, and when they looked down and saw the right prosthetic leg underneath the knee.
"Okay. Which one of you did that?" Rainbow asked sarcastically.
"None of them did that Rainbow, the leg was my own fault. And I don't want to get into detail but... lets just say its probably best to just call the authorities when you got a cell phone right next to you as your leg is trapped underneath a giant pile of scrap metal at a junkyard."
"EW!!!! Ugh..." Rarity couldn't help herself, the implications alone were disturbing enough. But she noticed how Toxigo was still standing there and staring at her awkwardly. "Oh, uh... sorry to hear about that, darling."
"Its fine. I've already learned to live with pain and little to no flesh. Anyways..." Tox's head turned towards the Shadowbolts girls all looking incredibly ashamed. "Why are they here? I'm sure they don't have any interest to talk to me after I almost killed one of them."
"No, we do." Indigo said. She stood up on her feet and looked Toxigo in the mismatched colored eyes.
"Thats a little unsettling. Anyways... Look, about everything that happened between us, and all of those months of torture and abuse we gave you for not supporting Crystal Prep at the Friendship Games. I... I wanted to make up with you, if... if that's okay?" Indigo hesitated.
Toxigo however wasn't convinced in the slightest.
"Make up? Why would I make up with you five? All of you from day one kept on bullying me and tried to make my life living Tartarus! You didn't care about how I feel, and you never did! And all because I do stuff that suddenly damages your reputation you're begging me to forgive you? That's incredibly pathetic you know!"
"But we--" Indigo pleaded.
"There's no but, and there's no we. I dumped you a long time ago because of all of the bullshit you had me go through. What kind of idiots are you? Putting your goddamn reputation before the lives of every human being around you, real mature of you! And for that matter, what did Twilight do to deserve your crap? What did either one of us do!? All I wanted to do was live a normal life, a life where I could live in peace without having to worry about any impending danger. But because of you girls, I had to keep to myself and keep running and hiding from all of you Prepping assholes! And Indy... Why did you even attack me? I was your own boyfriend, I wanted to protect you, I wanted to give you care and respect like any human being! What did I do that warranted you running me over with my car almost killing me!?"
The four Shadowbolt girls minus Indigo were in complete shock. They had no right to hurt him, and there was no chance of ever making up with him. They took a sweet guy who just wanted friends and turned him into an angry raging isolated wall.
"Dude. we... we just--" Lemon began.
"Lemon, stop." Indigo interrupted.
"Wh-What?" Lemon asked.
"Stop. Forget it. I give up." Indigo said as she held her hand on her face.
"But, we can't give up. You said you wanted to make up with him." Sour asked.
"Well we just... we... we just can't!" Indigo yelled. Her eyes were now watering and becoming bloodshot. Was she crying?
"Just...forget it! He's right. We can't make up with him! After all of the... bullshit, that we put him through, I wouldn't blame him for it!" Indigo's voice was shaking trying to get the words out, and tears leaked from her face.
Toxigo was really surprised to see the emotion from his ex. She was sorry after all. And maybe he shouldn't have given her poor judgement...
"Zappy?" Toxigo interjected.
"No, Toxy! I understand! You hate me, I get it!" Indigo cried into her hands.
"Zappy?"
"Just say it! You hate me, I'm a huge asshole!"
And Toxigo did the most unthinkable, unimaginable thing he could have done. He walked over to Indigo and held her in a hug and pat her back as she continued to sob. And to her surprise as she opened her eyes, she saw the slick dark green hair beside her.
"T-Toxy?" Indigo stammered.
Toxigo and Indigo reciprocated from the hug, and Toxigo wiped the tears away from Indigo's face with a smooth metal finger.
"I didn't believe you before. But, after what I've seen here... I can tell you're not lying." Tox smiled.
Indigo's spirits beamed. He couldn't be...
"You.... You mean you--"
"Now, hold on." Toxigo interrupted. "I'm still mad at you girls for what you did. And I'm willing to make up with you girls, however that's going to take some time and you're gonna have to make up BIG TIME for it."
"I understand Toxy. And we kind of made a start for it." Indigo replied, sniffing.
"How so Zappy?"
"We heard that you were getting harassed by the hospital for not having enough money to pay for your medical bills for the robotic limb replacements, so we all chipped in and used our money to pay for your bill. You won't have to worry about them anymore dearie." Sunny Flare replied.
Toxigo then gave a bit of a weak smile and looked at Flare and said, "Thank you, Flare. All of you, for that."
"Not a problem dude."
"No worry at all."
"So, are you guys okay now?" Sunset asked, getting their attention.
"I'll be fine Sunset. They still have a lot to do if they're going to earn my respect though. But I suppose for now I can drop the grudge." Toxigo replied getting smiles from everyone in the room.
So the group now with their problems restored and fixed, they walked back to the gym and joined in on the party. The Mane 7 however, first went over to a dressing room to change into dresses for the party, and then came back. Soon they all sat at a table and continued to talk.
"So, they have to earn his respect if he's going to fully forgive them?" Applejack asked.
"Yep. Simple as that."
"Well at least you're all finally making up. Heaven forbid we have another rivalry fight again." Rarity replied.
Everyone nodded at that, and proceeded to join in on the party festivities. The group sitting at the table watched as the Shadowbolts jammed out and had fun with everyone in the disco shining party. Tox heard Abacus Cinch call for his name, and he walked over to talk to her.
"Yes Principal Cinch?"
"First of all I'd like to apologize for not doing anything to stop all of the bullying you had to deal with all of the years. I should never have run Crystal Prep with the idea of being one on top and having no mercy that it drove them to the point of abusing anyone that stood in their way."
"I don't understand the logic behind that, but keep going." Tox replied.
"But most importantly, I am glad to see you're alright. It's probably for the best you come here to Canterlot High. It seems they understand a lot more on the concept of being proper than anyone at Crystal Prep. But if there's anything you need or want to talk about, my door is always open."
"Thank you Abacus Cinch. Although I must ask, what was going on in your head when you were gonna have Twilight unleash the magic?" Tox raised a brow.
"That was all my anger and competition side speaking. My mind wasn't in the right place at the time and I should have known better to not mess with a power you don't understand nor control."
"Okay. Just promise you won't do something like that again?"
Giving a friendly smile, Abacus looked at Tox and said. "That is a promise, I plan to keep."
Tox gave a smile to Abacus, and then proceeded to have a seat at the table with everyone else as they enjoyed the party. Tox however noticed Sunset was looking a little sad, but he figured out why. She had been watching some of the young couples that were dancing out on the floor, and just by the look on her face, he could tell what was up with her. Eventually at some point, Tox gestured Rarity to follow him out of the gym and back into their music room.
"What is it darling?"
"I need a suit. I want to ask Sunset if she wants to dance."
"Well of course!"
Toxigo didn't remember what had happened, but he remember being tossed into a separate room where he went through several suit changes. Eventually he found just the one he wanted. He now wore a dark green blazer, with the sleeves tucked up, black pants, and wore a minty green tie. He looked into a mirror staring at his reflection finding himself to be a very handsome colt, er man.
"I appreciate you helping me Rarity. I know it seems a little much to ask..-"
"Oh its not trouble at all darling. Helping my friends in need is what gives me energy!" At that moment, Rarity ponied up, once again sprouting the ears, and the long ponytail. Eventually she died down and turned back to her normal self, and exited the room. Tox faced himself in the mirror just checking himself one last time, and exited out of the room, walking into the gym room and sat down at the table Sunset Shimmer was sitting at.
"Hey Shimmer-cakes." Tox said with a smile.
"Hey Toxy. Nice suit." Sunset replied.
"Thanks. I love your dress."
"Thank you."
"So, uh, how's the party going? Looks like everyone's getting along pretty well."
"They are. And the party hasn't been interrupted once, not even by Abacus Cinch."
"That's good to hear." Tox replied. He then paused for a bit and could see Sunset was feeling a little down. "You alright Sunset?"
"Yeah I'm fine, just remembering when I used to have Flash. But as I've said before, he was just for popularity. But now that I think about it, I do kind of wish I was dating. Someone to hold hands with, someone to go on romantic dates with, someone... to love, you know?"
"I know Shimmer-cakes. I know."
After a bit of silence Toxigo thought over how she was feeling. Even thought they both were friends, they still had feelings towards one another. And he wanted to take her out on a date, but tonight wasn't going to be the night for it. But he got an idea as to how to cheer her up. So he got up, faced her and asked--
"Hey uh, you want to go out on the dance floor?" He asked extending a metallic hand. Sunset gave a smile and took his hand. And just like before, he ponied up again, and he died down once more. Soon the both of them walked down onto the dance floor as now they were playing a slow song. The song that was playing was We Belong Together by Robert and Johnny.
You're mine... and we belong together....
Toxy and Sunset both then danced together to the slow moving song enjoying each others company, and both stared into each others eyes and eye as they danced to the music. Tox's fleshy hand slid between Sunset's fiery red hair, feeling very silky smooth between the fingers. In the backgrounds, there were other couples who were dancing as well, and Flash was dancing with Sci-Twi as well. And as they danced, the Shadowbolts sat at a table and smiled as they watched their new soon to be friend finally relaxing from all of their terror. As the Shadowbolts watched him dance with Sunset, they all made an agreement from there on, they would all begin a new friendship with Toxigo, and pay for all of their mistakes, but for now, they would enjoy the party.
Little did any of them know that they were all watched by a pair of monstrous green eyes, who had watched everything. And little do any of them know they soon will be in something very bad...
"Hehehehe... Well, this might be easier than I thought."
Sunset walked with Toxigo back to his home just before she was going to leave for the night, and as they walked up to the front door...
"You know, this night turned out a lot better than I thought." Toxigo stated.
"Yeah, it did, didn't it?" Sunset smiled. "You're gonna talk to them right?"
"Shimmercakes..." Toxigo whined.
"You said you'd give them the benefit of the doubt." Sunset retorted still keeping her friendly voice.
Toxigo groaned. He really didn't want to, but how could he resist saying no to his Shimmercakes? "Okay, I'll try to work with them."
"I know you can." Sunset smiled.
"Alright. So, shall I see you tomorrow then?" Toxigo quickly said.
"Yeah. See you later Toxy."
"I'll miss you!" Toxigo called out making Sunset laugh.
What Sunset didn't see was Toxigo muttering to himself in anger. "Damn it man, you should have asked her out."
Toxigo unlocked the door into his home groaning over his own failure. He had been getting closer and closer with Sunset ever since they hung out, and he wanted to ask her out on a date. He wanted to call her, his very own girlfriend. The thought alone made him incredibly giddy.
But as he was about to go and turn the lights out for the night--
KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK
Toxigo was taken aback. Did Sunset come back to ask him something?
So he walked back and opened the door, and was met with a blow to the face and fell on the floor. He arched his head up slightly and was met with the sight of a devious Sunset Shimmer smirking.
"Here's.... Sunny!" she deviously said.
Chapter 14: A New Team/To Equestria!
The next day at Canterlot High, everyone continued to attend their classes as normal and proceed on with their homework. But there was something wrong that had occurred to Principal Celestia and Vice-Principal Luna. There have been no signs of Sunset, Twilight, Pinkie, Applejack, Rainbow, Rarity, Fluttershy, or Toxigo. It wasn't like for almost all of them to be late for class, so they knew they had to do something. They called their parents but they said that they never came home which got them worried.
So Flash decided to on the case and find out what happened. But first thing's first. He wanted to stop by and get help from the 5 five Shadowbolt girls first. So, he sat in his car, and dialed in the number.
"Hello?" Indigo came on the other line, smacking her lips. It seemed as if she was just getting up.
"Indigo, its Flash. I think I may need you and the other girls." Flash asked.
"Why? What's wrong?" she asked from the other line.
"Sunset and the girls have gone missing and I haven't heard from Toxigo." Flash replied.
The other line was becoming silent for a moment. Flash thought he had lost Indigo or that she hung up.
"Indigo? You there?" he asked.
"I'll call the others. Be there soon."
Flash waited by his car for the Shadowbolt girls, and they all met up. And so the first stop to go to was on over to Toxigo's house to check on him first.
"You really think he wouldn't come back to school from yesterday?" Sugarcoat replied.
"You don't know, and I don't know, maybe he didn't really accept our apology. And quite frankly, I still wouldn't blame him." Indigo replied.
"But how do you know where he lives, and how do you know you can find him?" Sunny asked.
"I know because in the few months we actually dated each other, I knew he liked Japanese styled architecture, and if he had the option to have his own house, I'm sure he would have a house in the style of... Japanese...architecture...." Indigo didn't finish her sentence, because what caught her eye made her stop.
They all had made it Toxigo's home, but, it didn't look good at all. Just from the huge amount of damage on the front, they could tell a great battle had taken place over at it. There were large holes in the house, debris floating in the swamp water, and electricity sparks coming from the lights.
"Whoa dude... what happened here?" Lemon asked.
"Looks like either something got loose, or something tried getting in and caused destruction." Sugarcoat responded.
"Well we can't just stand here, come on we better go in." Flash replied.
So they tried walking their way into the house but they also encountered a bunch of more broken debris and they all tried to avoid anything that would be falling, and also watching their steps in giant holes and broken floorboards. After they walked downstairs they found Toxigo lying on the ground, looking beat up, and with his mechanical arm ripped off with the circuits still sizzling. Indigo then crouched down and helped Toxigo off the ground.
"Tox? Tox? You alright?" Indigo asked get rid of some more debris.
"Does he look okay!?" Flash yelled in worry.
Tox's yellow eye then opened up but winced slightly at the light shining from the hole in the roof, and he pulled himself up. "Z-Zappy?"
"Oh my god! Are you okay?"
"No... I'm not. I just got attacked yesterday."
"Well what happened? Who attacked you?" Lemon asked
"Strange enough, it was Sunset. But, she couldn't have. I know she wouldn't attack me." Tox wheezed.
"Maybe it was an imposter." Sugarcoat suggested.
"Well whoever she or he was attacked me, and... sucked a majority of the magic, out from the Alicorn Amulet. Its still recharging, but one thing's for sure...she's not alone."
"How so?" Sunny asked, clearing off more debris.
Tox then stood back up and attempted to get a drink while also explaining his situation. " If someone posed as Sunset Shimmer to make an attack to trick me into letting them in, following which she attacked me, there's not doubt she's working with the Dazzlings. My ears picked up audio and recorded everything while I was knocked out. They kidnapped Sunset, Twilight, and the others." Tox replied.
"Well what do we do?" Sunny asked. "Should we go and rescue them?"
"I don't know Flare, I... I don't know. I'm sure if we try to, we'll just fall for a trap or we might endanger their lives even more." Tox replied pulling himself together.
"One question, if you don't mind my asking." Sour asked.
"Okay." Tox awaited for Sour's questions.
"Who the hell are the Dazzlings?" Sour sourly asked.
"Are they more of those magical creatures that exists in that world where those giant killer plants came from?" Sugarcoat asked.
"Yes Sugarcoat. From the short history lesson Sunset gave me, they were three dangerous creatures from a 1000 years ago that feed off of hatred and chaos. Their singing voices turned everyone against each other, feeding off their hate. Unfortunately old crazy Starswirl the Bearded opened up the trash hole and tossed them in. I'm starting to think he didn't really think sometimes. But getting back to the point, those sirens, er, the Dazzlings, they've now taken forms of three girls that I swear to god look like their in their 20s. They're names are Adagio, Aria, and Sonata. And as crazy as it sounds, they're from the same world." Tox replied.
"I don't think its was crazy. I think its crazy that some old dude just tossed them into a portal like its a garbage compactor, but after our encounter with the plants at the Friendship Games, I'll believe anything. Even if you tell me that Bigfoot exists, aliens probed you, or even if you were possessed by a ghost and made you black out and you wake up in the ruins of a drunken midnight party." Lemon replied.
Everyone gave an awkward stare towards Lemon at that last response.
"It happened, to a...friend, of mine." Lemon hesitated.
"Well what are we doing here standing around for? Wasting time for an evil succubus to try and take over?" Sour said.
Sour picked Tox's synthetic arm right off the floor and set it on the counter, and Tox moved into a position where the circuits would reconnect with magic, and thus his arm got connected once more. But they all stopped after hearing a strange clatter noise.
"Dah! What was that?" Indigo asked.
"Its probably just more of my house falling apart Zappy."
But another clattering sound appeared followed by a smash, and an activation voice?
"Paralysis Systems. Echo Dash, online."
Followed the clanking of running feet.
"Or on the other hand, someone has been listening to our entire conversation." Sunny sounding scared replied.
Sunny was right, for someone was inside the house with them. So to defend themselves, they all grabbed kitchen knives out of a wooden drawer and Tox transformed his mechanical arm into a cannon weapon. They listened in again and found where the source was coming from, and it was coming from... the garage?
The girls and boys walked on over to the garage after the door to it fell forward and looked to see where it was coming from. Fortunately, they found the source which was hiding behind a giant stack of boxes, as some boxes fell down.
"Who keeps piles of boxes around? Seriously?" Sunny groaned.
"Hey, don't you talk that way about my boxes! I like boxes!" Tox yelled back.
Their eyes then turned back towards the boxes and could see a shadow of a figure hiding behind it, but the question was, who is it? The small group creeped their way forward for a few steps but still kept their eyes out for anything that may jump at them.
"We're not alone..." Lemon cooed.
"Alright, whoever you are, come out now, and we won't kill you!" Sour Sweet yelled.
"Yes because I'm sure that will get him or her to exit out." Sugarcoat complained.
"Girls, not now. Show yourself!" Tox shouted towards the boxes. "I have a high powered weapon in my arm and I suggest you show yourself!" Tox replied. The group kept holding their weapons waiting for action, but as the figure revealed herself...
"I am Dash. Built to protect those who cannot protect themselves."
The figure stepped out, and from what they could see, it was Rainbow Dash. However when she stepped out she was standing naked which made them cringe.
"Dah, oh god!" Tox looked away, and then looked back. "No, wait, never mind. I've seen naked chicks before. Nothing new."
"Seriously Rainbow? There's an image I'll never get out of my head!" Indigo cringed as she covered her eyes.
"She's kind of hot." Lemon remarked.
Tox turned to Lemon who blushed, and stared at her with a look that just screamed 'Are you freaking kidding me?' They looked back at the supposedly naked Rainbow Dash, and saw one detail that proved it wasn't her. The left side of her face was all scratched up revealing bronze skin underneath, as well as the skin over the eye now exposing her orange illuminating eye. There was also several amounts of skin scratches on the rest of her body revealing bronze skin underneath her cyan exterior.
"How are you so calm and mature with looking at a naked girl!?" Indigo shouted.
"First of all, that's not a girl, that's a synthetic human. Second, I've already seen you naked on one of our nights when--" Toxigo began.
"NO! Please do not go into detail!" Sunny begged.
In a bit of a flash, Indigo threw a towel towards the supposed naked robot, and she wrapped herself in it to make them more comfortable in talking to her.
"That's... a little better." Flash stated. "Wait, what did you say your name was?"
"I am Echo Dash. Cybernetic organism designed by Toxigo Paralysis. Directive is to befriend, protect, and serve." Echo replied.
"So, wait a minute, you're the android that we all met back in the stadium?" Sunny asked.
"That is correct Sunny Flare. I was activated orders to defend and protect."
"And may I ask, how are you functioning and if you're functioning now then were you able to identify who attacked yesterday?" Tox asked raising a brow.
"I began functioning once you flowed magic from the item identified as the Alicorn Amulet. Unfortunately, the one who posed as Sunset Shimmer I haven't been able to identify. However, I managed to plant a tiny tracking device onto the attacker."
"Good, so we should be able to track her every move?"
Dash gave a sad nod responding to yes, but then spoke up again. "Unfortunately no. I cannot pinpoint her exact location. However, based on numerous amounts of checks, she hasn't figured out the device is on her yet. But the audio sensors say she plans on making a striking attack on the city of Canterlot in Equestria." Echo replied.
Tox's heart pounded against his chest like a bell would rang on the top of a church.
"No... Canterlot? There are thousands of families and civilians living there. We can't let them win! How much time do we have before she plans on making the strike?"
"1 week, 13 hours, 40 minutes, 10 seconds."
"Then we have no time to lose. First, we need to get you clothes, Second, we let the staff at CHS know they want to leave and keep them distracted. We can't let them return to Equestria. Third, we suit up, load up, and head to Equestria. Flash, Echo, lets go!"
Toxigo began to storm out leaving the five girls all questioning his choice.
"Hey, wait!" Indigo shouted, grabbing Toxigo's attention onto her.
"Why don't we help?"
"No offense, but you girls blackmailed a student into releasing magic for your own benefit and you treated the giant Rumor Weeds like they're just flies in your face. You really think you might stand against whatever creatures reside in Equestria?" Toxigo snared.
"Bro, come on. We don't know if we'll get help. They're willing help us, and right now they're all we got." Flash implored.
Toxigo stared back at the girls. He really didn't want them to be helping after all the crap they had done to him. But it didn't seem like he had any choice. Either the three of them go alone and get their butts kicked losing any chance of keeping their world safe, or work with the Bolts and finally stop the Dazzlings plan from being put into action. Tox's hand rubbed on his face and he groaned in annoyance.
"Fine. Fine, fine, fine, fine, fine, fine! But... if you girls are going with me to help..." Tox began.
The girls bobbed their heads up and down gesturing yes.
"You will do what I say, you will follow my orders, and you will not question any crazy magical creatures, antics, or out of nowhere musical numbers we might come across. Do I make myself clear?"
The girls were a little shaken up at his tone, but realized if they wanted to win his respect, they'd have to do what he said.
"You've made yourself perfectly clear dearie. And do not worry, we will try and stay on our best behavior and be mature when we go to Equestria." Sunny replied.
Toxigo gave a smile to Sunny. "Thanks. Now lets get going."
"Will you keep them still!?" Chrysalis disguised as Sunset yelled.
"I'm trying, they keep budging!" Adagio yelled back. She was in the process of trying to tie up Rainbow Dash, but she kept on struggling to get free, but had no luck.
"We will get back at you, and you'll be- MMM!" At that moment Rainbow got a rag shoved into her mouth and duct tape rolled right over it. After Adagio finished tying the knots, she moved her over to the other Rainbooms who were all tied up as well, along with Sci-Twi. While Rarity and Fluttershy were scared out of their minds, Rainbow and Applejack kept trying to break out of their restrains but had no luck, and Sci-Twi and Pinkie just sat and waited for what they were planning on doing. And with Sunset, Aria and Sonata held her as Adagio and Chrysalis continued to converse, and she was tied up and gagged like everyone else.
"You have absorbed enough magic, you've taken their friends, lets just go!" Adagio complained.
"Not just yet, Adagio. We still need to know if he's going to make a move against us. He'll no doubt come up with a plan to stop us."
"And just how are we going to check on him?"
Chrysalis turned her attention onto Sonata and Aria who still kept Sunset secure. "Why not send them in? We need someone to stay behind to keep an eye on them."
"Ugh, why us? Why don't you go check on them?" Aria complained.
"Because I'm the one running the plan here, now go!"
"But Sonata's just annoying and she's gonna make us stop for tacos!"
"I do not! Besides I already ate!" Sonata argued.
"Just....go." Adagio finished.
Eventually the two younger sirens then headed out and left to go find them. Sunset while watching them leave had only one thought in her head. Be careful Tox...
Meanwhile over at school, Principal Celestia walked through the hallways and caught sight of an out of breath Toxigo and Flash having entered in the school, along with Echo now fully restored in her Rainbow Dash skin but not so out of breath like the two boys were.
"Toxigo? Where were you, and where are the others?"
Toxigo raised a hand, gesturing for her to wait as he continued to catch his breath, and arched up wiping the sweat away from his face.
"Okay. Principal Celestia... We've got a problem. Very big problem." Toxigo stated.
"Why? What's wrong?"
"An entity from Equestria has come here on Earth." Toxigo replied.
At that moment, the five Shadowbolt girls had finally made it inside and were slowing down to catch their breath as well.
"Did it ever occur to you, that we might not be able to run as fast, as you can?" Sour grumbled.
"Oh stuff it, will you? Time is of the essence here!" Tox retorted.
They took the conversation into Principal Celestia's office, and filled her in on the situation at hand. But little did they know, that Aria and Sonata were preparing to make a move as they snuck in through the doors of the school.
"...And so we have to keep them from leaving this world if we can stop them."
"I see. Is there anything I can do to help?" Principal Celestia asked.
"The only thing that comes to mind is... wait, of course. I forgot, one second!" Tox then ran out of the room, and quickly returned with Sunset's book which had her cutie mark on it. "Keep this book with you on all times. If it buzzes, its probably an answer from me. You can also write back to me to give me an update. Also, do not allow them to leave. If they do manage to leave, don't worry, we'll put all our might to try and stop them. However, if there is a notice saying that they've become too strong, I want you to evacuate everyone from the school grounds in case that they might want to take over your world."
"Very well."
Just at that moment, the electricity sizzled, the lights flickered, and suddenly they went out and left them in the darkness. And out of nowhere, they listened in to the sound of a high pitched scream of terror, and it was coming from Lemon Zest. Suddenly the power flipped back on, and they all quickly looked around except for Toxy, and saw Lemon wasn't there.
"Where did she go!?" Sunny screamed.
"I don't know, I'm sure she just loves to scream like that for fun!" Sour yelled.
"Lock the doors. Lock down all the doors, now!" Tox ordered. Soon they all ran out of the room and did just that, they got to every door leading to outside, and locked them up tight. And to make another move, Tox using his mind powers, sent secret messages to a majority of the student body's heads telling them to lock down the school to keep the two sirens from escaping.
Aria and Sonata were trying to escape with a handcuffed and tape gagged Lemon Zest, and they were trying to move fast. Lemon kept struggling to get free but sadly had no luck. "Why did you grab her Sonata?! That wasn't in the plan!" Aria complained.
"I thought we had to get leverage to get out of here!"
"We already have enough leverage, and because you made a move, now we have to take her with us!" Aria grumbled while forcing their hostage away.
"Well don't blame me for trying!"
"LMT MM GH!!!" Lemon muffled.
"Will you shut up!?" Aria yelled.
"You're giving us away!" Sonata whispered.
They forced Lemon to follow with them as they attempted to bust down a door but had no luck as they were locked up tight. Their next option was to go through the gym doors but as they entered into the main foyer, all of the hallways were blocked by the Shadowbolt students, and none of them were looking happy.
"Give us our friend back, now!" Indigo angrily said.
"Or what?" Aria replied.
"Maybe you should do what she says and let her go."
Aria and Sonata turned their heads to the right to see Echo Dash standing there determined. But to Aria and Sonata's viewpoint, it was just Rainbow Dash in a different hairstyle and had on different clothes.
"What!? How did she escape!?" Aria freaked out.
But her demeanor immediately changed to angry and enraged as she pulled out a hammer that hung on a side of her pocket and she tried swinging at Echo. Echo however was prepared, she dodged left, right, up, down, and all around. However, Aria managed to strike one blow to Echo and that was to the side of her face up near her left eye, and she groaned in pain.
"Ergh...." Echo groaned.
Her groan was so loud it go a few students attention and they all surrounded the sirens to keep them from leaving, and Aria faced back to Echo and got a bit of a shock. This Rainbow Dash she was fighting didn't get any blood spilled, or have any injury, but rather part of her skin shell, showing part of her bronze endo-skeleton and orange eye. She twitched and stared back at her with a devious grin.
"Wha..Wh--Wait, what!?"
"Lights out, sucker." Echo then swing a roundhouse kick to her chest knocking her to the ground, and making a spinning kick towards Sonata and both were on the ground cowering from Echo, while Lemon stayed standing watching and trying to get out of her restraints but still having no luck.
"You stepped on my friends. Now I will step on you!"
"Echo, Echo, its okay. They're down, no need to attack them anymore. Just keep them here, I'm going to free Lemon."
Tox then walked over to Lemon Zest showing signs of being relieved, and proceeded to pull the microfoam tape off her mouth. "You alright Lemon?"
"I am now, agh..." Lemon was scrunching at her face from having the tape ripped off her mouth. "But, wait, why did you save me? I thought we had to earn your respect first."
Tox continued to cut through the handcuffs while explaining himself. "Well Lemon, I may have said you had to earn my respect, but that doesn't mean I would not help you. Besides, I already forgave you guys." Tox finished as Lemon was freed from her restraints.
Lemon feeling the pain around her wrists began rubbing at them, and then looked to Toxigo. "You sure?"
"I'm sure Lemon. In fact just to make it clear to you, I forgive you." Suddenly at that moment, out of nowhere, a burst of green and yellow energy surged through his body.
"Oh come on, not again!" Toxigo facepalmed.
Then he floated into the air, and once again sprouted a tail, wings, and his robotic bat ears transformed to the top of his head forming robotic pony ears, and then he landed back onto the ground, and the tail and wings went away and his ears transformed back to normal.
"Wait, what was that!?"
"You... grew pony ears?" Lemon asked.
"And a ponytail?" Sugarcoat asked, moving her glasses slightly down.
"I..I think so. How did that happen? I didn't show off any Element of Harmony. How does forgiving someone automatically make you pony up? Ah.... ugh. Never mind. That's not important right now."
While ponying up out of nowhere did seem very out of the ordinary, his attention wasn't focused on the strange power up, but rather on getting answers as to where his friends had been taken.
Tox then turned his attention back to Aria and Sonata who were recovering from their fall, only for Aria to get a sudden surprise as Toxigo's arm grabbed her by the throat and he pinned her against the wall.
"I'm only going to ask you this once. Where. Are. My. Friends!?" Tox's teeth gritted.
"I'm not telling you." Aria grumbled.
"Very well. If you're not going to tell then I'm gonna have to use force. And I'm not afraid of opening. Your. Freaking. Head." Toxigo shouted.
Aria noticed his hand began clanking and whirring, transforming into a blade like weapon. Worse, it was vibrating, as if like an electric knife. Aria winced for a moment as it kept on moving closer to her face, but she unfortunately gave up. She didn't want to risk getting herself killed over something like this.
"Okay, okay! I'll talk! Just keep that blade away from my face!" Aria cried out.
Toxigo transformed the blade back into his arm and released her only for a bit so she wasn't pinned, but she picked up on how she had nowhere to go since the rest of the Bolts stood by Toxigo all snarling.
"Now, I believe he asked you a question. What have you done, to his friends?" Sour asked.
Aria groaned. She now began to regret having said she'd talk, but she had no choice.
"They're back in Equestria."
"Who is your accomplice?" Toxigo snared.
Aria grinned deviously. "Queen... Chrysalis." she replied.
Lemon and Sugarcoat's heads turned to look at Toxigo and noticed something seemed off about him. His eyes had widened, and his expression quickly became terrified.
"Tox? Dude?" Lemon waved a hand in front of his face which got his attention.
"Are you okay?" Sugarcoat asked, this time sounding actually concerned.
"Yeah, I'm... I'm fine. Lets just tie them up and keep them locked up somewhere so they can't escape."
The girls led Aria and Sonata away with Toxigo leading them, but the girls were questioning his moment of silence. Why did he freeze like that?
The small group of remainders all sat in chairs while Tox talked to the Shadowbolts, Echo, and Flash discussing a form of a plan, and they had Aria and Sonata thrown into a closet both tied up and gagged.
"Okay, so now I have the rest of the information we need. Sunset and the others are trapped in Equestria, the question is where. However there's one thing that bugs me, if she's going to have total power, why not take my Amulet? That gives ponies complete power, I don't see how she couldn't take it."
"Maybe Chrysalis or whatever couldn't take it because it's attached to you in a way that she can't take it. Or it might have defended you from getting hurt." Sugarcoat replied flatly.
"That's a good point Sugar. But I'm not sure. That doesn't matter now though, we got to get to Equestria to get them free first. This mission is incredibly dangerous, the fate of our home, our entire planet and all of Equestria depends on us. I understand if you don't want to do it, and its alright to say no. So if you don't want to do it, just say it now."
The room remained in silence for a little bit, until Sunny spoke up. "We said we had to repay for our mistakes we've made by helping you dearie, and I believe this is something we should all help with."
"Count me in! A chance to fight supervillains? I'd do that any day!" Lemon beamed with joy.
"Me too." Sugarcoat responded.
"Finally something I can lay my rage out on!" Sour agreed.
"If this means helping a friend in need, I'll gladly assist." Flash agreed.
"What about you Indy? You in?"
Indigo paused to consider his offer. Fighting supervillains kind of seemed cool in her head, and who knows? Maybe she could get a cool experience out of helping him fight against them. "Alright you've gotten me excited I just can't say no. I'm in!" Indigo replied.
Soon they all put their hands all together in agreement, and they all stacked hands on top of one another to show their agreement and loyalty. A group had been formed, and now, a plan was set into motion.
As the day continued on, Tox got the Shadowbolts and Flash all into training and learning to use their equipment. Tox had to teach them all how to walk on their hands and legs to teach them how to walk like regular ponies since they'd be turned into ponies the minute they came into Equestria, which unfortunately was incredibly awkward to do considering the places they walked around.
"Right, left, right, left, right, left! Move those legs!" Tox shouted.
"This is weird! Besides, everyone can look up my skirt! They can see my panties for gods sake!" Indigo complained.
"Hey, they're kind of cute!" Lemon joked.
"Shut up Lemon!" Indigo yelled.
"How are you girls friends again?" Tox yelled back.
Later he had them help him out in his own lab at his home and together, the 8 of them developed some new weapons and items that would specifically be designed to tap into their strengths, talents, and weaknesses. Some items included a new headset for Lemon that had a visor, antenna and microphone attached, a giant colorful gun designed for Pinkie Pie which they filled with popcorn kernels for ammo, chest armor designed to hook into heavy weapon along with high power equipment, etc. He even had to give them a few lessons on Equestria to keep them prepared like some of the towns, the creatures, and town folks. But every once in a while he had to toss erasers at Lemon to get her to focus.
"Hey!" Tox shouted while tossing another eraser at Lemon who ducked for cover.
"Seriously? You are like the worst students ever!" Tox joked.
But after a few hours of training, they all were ready to move. But there was one last thing to do before they left...
The girls were entering into the science room after a very early dinner at Inside-Out Burger and noticed Toxigo sitting on the desk intensely writing in some book.
"Dearie, what are you doing?" Sunny asked.
"I, Flare, am writing a message to Princess Twilight Sparkle on the other side of the portal to let her know that they'll be coming, so I need her to shut down the portal so Chrysalis and the Dazzlings won't leave."
Lemon spit-take on her drink out of surprise, and the drink splashed all over Indigo's face who was less than amused. Lemon just quietly chuckled.
"P-Princess, Twilight?" Lemon's eyes bulged.
"Yep. The Twilight in the other dimension from what I'm told is high royalty. So... we better not piss her off." Tox whispered. "Anyways ladies, do you all have the backpacks I requested you get?"
"Yep." Everyone replied.
"Perfect, now just to do a quick inventory check." Toxigo walked over to the table, and Flash pointed to every item and named them as they went along.
"Water bottles, snacks, giant batteries to power up the Light Cannons, blueprints, dissembled weapons to lighten the load, fabrics, camouflage suits, book of ancient spells, warrior robes you got Rarity to design for fun, armor, extra prosthetic limbs just in case you lose one, arrows, grenades, shurikens, swords, we should be good." Flash replied. "Wait, what about the Alicorn Amulet?"
Toxigo paused. He hadn't considered taking it with him. He kept it off his neck being afraid what had happened before. He didn't want to almost kill more of his friends because the anger clouded his mind by using that soul-sucking, mind absorbing monster that existed in the form of the jewel. However, it'd be bad enough just allowing that thing to rest with their enemy all alone, so leaving it behind was not an option. He just simply put it around his neck, and gulped in fear. Not wanting to show any fear, he just kept his cool and calm demeanor around his friends.
"Perfect!" Tox made one clap with his hands.
"Do you think we might have gone a little over the top with the weaponry? I think we might have made a little too much." Sugarcoat asked.
"Oh Sugar, Sugar, Sugar.... You can never have too much weaponry." Tox smiled.
"You're so over the top its not even funny." Sugarcoat bluntly stated.
"Yeah, yeah, yeah... now come on! Time's a wasting." Toxigo then looked at all of the girls standing in their new clothes all holding their weaponry.
Indigo now wore long jeans, a pink shirt with an indigo shaped cloud shooting a lightning bolt, and running boots, and she kept on her aviator goggles. In her hands, she had strapped mini light cannons onto both of her arms to double to the power.
Lemon Zest now wore yellow short shorts, a small pink tank top with a lemon slice with flowers pictured on it, and her headphones was now turned into a headset so she may communicate with any of them. And in her hands was a pulse rifle.
Sugarcoat now wore a yellow button up shirt with an image of a stick of dynamite shown on it, and also with a flat skirt with yellow boots. Along on her belt, she had several colorful sticks of what looked like dynamite.
Sunny Flare now wore a short black jacket, a pink skirt with a cloudy graphic on it, pink boots, and on her belt she had little sun shaped shurikens shaped like her own hair clip.
Last one was Sour Sweet, she had on a pinkish purple skirt with a heart and diamond graphic on it. She also painted little black marks under her eyes much like sports players and in her hands was her archery kit
Flash just kept on his normal clothes, but had extra additions like an headset with an eyepiece, and he had a heavy light cannon hanging on his back.
As for Echo, she just kept her normal clothes she had on, and let her left eye exposed as the synthetic human she was.
"Alright, if we're going to take them down, we need to get to Equestria first. But that leads to some concerns. The portal in the Wondercolt Statue leads to the castle of Princess Twilight. I would like to avoid going through that way because one that's the most obvious place to go to, and the Dazzlings can follow us through that way. Hopefully with it shut down they can't go anywhere. In the meantime, I had built a new machine that will blast a portal open and take us to Equestria by going into a hyper-drive like portal. Sort of the like the ones you see in science fiction films. And now, we've got all of our things. Weapons, gear, knowledge of Equestria, we should be good. Everyone ready?"
Everyone gave a resounding "Yes", and so they started to move. But Sour stopped them for a brief moment.
"Wait, what about the two Dazzlings that are tied up in the closet? Are we going to leave them there?" Sour asked in a sweet voice.
"Yes, we are Sweets. Adagio and Chrysalis will find them eventually, and we don't have a lot of time, now come on, lets go." Tox finished.
They exited the room leaving the two Sirens trying to scream underneath their gags to be let out, but all that came out were muffled pleads.
As the group walked now all suited up, with their arsenal of weapons and supplies, they stopped to listen to a sound of... teleportation?
They turned their bodies around to look down at the hallway and saw standing... was Adagio Dazzle, along with someone the group had never seen before. All but one of them immediately picked up on who she was.
The person that appeared with Adagio in the teleportation was an adult, dressed in black dark clothes, much of like a police officer. She had body armor covering her chest, no sleeves, dark green pants with black boots, a holster which contained a gun and a stick, and her badge was in the shape of a crown.
Toxigo couldn't help but gasp loudly at the sight of an old enemy...
"You!" Toxigo quivered.
"Yes.... me..." Chrysalis replied opening her green gazing eyes.
"That's her? That's Queen Chrysalis?" Sunny asked.
Toxigo just slowly nodded in fear.
"Its been such a long time since I've seen you... little colt. And look, you've grown since the last time I've seen you. Remarkable.... your family would have been proud..." Chrysalis mocked.
Toxigo's eyebrows furled with anger.
"My family means nothing to me anymore!" Toxigo retorted as a tear leaked down his face.
"Oh my, have I struck a nerve? Hehehe.... pity. And if I recall you had more flesh the last time I checked. But I guess it doesn't matter... you'll still perish like your family had, and just like everyone else you loved..." Chrysalis manically laughed.
"We won't let you hurt our friend!" Sour yelled.
"We've hurt him a lot more than you ever have, and we're not going to let scum like you kill him!" Lemon shouted.
Toxigo was taken aback. These girls were actually defending him?
"You... you really mean that?" Toxigo asked.
The five of them looked back at Toxigo with the friendliest smiles they could offer.
"We do. You're our friend. We should have been supportive of you before like you were with us. And now, we're supporting you all the way." Sunny replied.
"Thanks." Toxigo then turned his attention to Chrysalis with a look of anger and asked.
"Alright Chrysalis. I'm going to ask you this once. I know my friends are in Equestria. Where, did you take them?" Toxigo snarled.
Chrysalis just snickered. "Persistent are we? As much as I admire that, I wouldn't be so concerned with their fates, but rather of your own... I don't know how you've managed to stay young for all of these years especially considering how long ago its been since we met, but this time, I'll make sure you don't last anymore..."
"Oh you think you're so tough aren't you? Well if you think you're so tough, why didn't you take my Alicorn Amulet when you had the chance?"
"I couldn't rip it out of your pathetic little neck. Fortunately, learning a spell or two on absorbing magical energy has helped me quite, miraculously... While I may not be able to take it from you, I know I can absorb magic from it. Making me more stronger than I was before..."
Toxigo began to become a little worried, but he just had to ask one more question before they left.
"But why me? Why me of all people? Why do you care so much about me that you take them away and put your time and energy just focusing on me?"
"Because I knew that you have a special bond between them and yourself and so I decided to cut the chains that held you together. You would never be able to get them back. But I suppose I'm correct for the time being. After all you're still just a temperamental colt who suffers breakdowns whenever someone even tries asking your family history."
Toxigo's face expressed high shock as his eyes widened and lips drooped. "But, that was only one time that... Ugh, no! I won't let you hurt me or my friends!"
"Enough talk, time to finish you once and for all." Adagio replied.
Sugarcoat somehow was one step ahead of them, and popped a cap off of colorful stick of dynaminte from her holster, and tossed it where Adagio and Chrysalis stood. Both of their eyes gazed down and looking slightly afraid.
"Oh no..." Adagio said.
KABOOM
The group ducked their heads away from the explosion and as they turned their heads back they noticed the bomb didn't blow any part of the hallway up, but rather... trapped Chrysalis and Adagio? Their feet were covered and trapped in giant goops of a pink sticky substance.
"How did you--" Flash began.
"Its one of the sticky bombs I designed, now lets go!" Sugarcoat insisted.
The girls and boys began fleeing from the two psychotic magic chicks and began heading for the auditorium/gymnasium.
"Is that why you were acting scared earlier today?" Indigo said as they ran down the halls.
"Yes, that's why I'm scared. That queen took away everyone I loved and fed off their love for me, grew powerful, and chased me across Equestria. And that's the short version! Right now, can we focus on getting the hell out of here!?"
"Will you quit shouting, you're alerting their attention!" Flash argued.
"Echo, are they after us?" Tox asked.
"Negative."
"Good, we've got some time."
The group barged into the gymnasium and stopped in awe of the giant machine that was soon going to be used to teleport them to Equestria. There were legs holding it up, several machines and controls connected to it, and the way it was set was in a position that one would need to just simply step underneath it, and they'd immediately get sucked up into it.
"Are we gonna stand here in awe, or are gonna lock up the doors to keep them from getting in?" Sunny retorted.
"She's right, lock up the door!" Toxigo replied.
The girls closed the door, and set it into a position locking it up. Not taking any chances, they ran over to the machine, and Echo began powering it up. Soon it finally flipped on after a few button presses and combinations and began whirring and sucking up bits of the air around them creating wind blowing past all of their hair.
"Okay, go, go, go!" Toxigo ordered.
Flash was the first to jump in, and nearly tossed around as went right through it.
"Who's next?" Toxigo asked looking mischievous.
"Ooh, me! Me, me, me!" Lemon begged.
"Alright Lemon, go!"
Lemon ran up made a jump and raised a fist like if she was a superman. "WHOO!!!!"
Sunny decided to make the next run, as she made a starting jump and as she was underneath the portal she flew up screaming in fear.
"Is she dead?" Sugarcoat asked.
Toxigo scratched his chin to think for a moment. "Nah she's fine" he sarcastically replied.
Indigo and Sour stared at him with horrified expressions on their faces. Toxigo couldn't help but laugh a bit.
"She's just up there floating with Flash and Lemon. They won't go anywhere without us." Toxigo reassured.
"Is making cruel jokes your way of punishing us?" Sour grumbled.
Toxigo simply made a 'boop' sound as he tapped his nose smiling, and giving a nod.
"Okay, we do deserve it." Sour sweetly replied.
Their attention was grabbed to the sound of... bodies slamming against doors?
"Oh... crap." Indigo stated.
Their heads turned to see Chrysalis evilly staring down at them.
"Great, come on!" Toxigo shouted.
Echo and Indigo were the next ones to jump through the portal, leaving only Sour, Sugarcoat, and Toxigo.
"Okay, we can't let them come with us. Any ideas?" Toxigo offered.
"I do!" Sugarcoat shouted, and she pulled out grenades from her backpack. She then strapped them to the ground in several positions surrounding the portal, along with on the controls and machines.
"Great thinking Sugarcoat!" Toxigo complimented, surprisingly getting a smile from Sugarcoat.
"Okay, Sour, Sugarcoat, lets go!"
"Right behind you!" Sour replied.
The three of them made the final jump into the portal. Soon, the grenades began going off around the portal smashing the technology into bits and pieces. Electricity sparks going all over the place, metal peeling itself off, and explosions setting off all around. Each and every one of them, continuously destroying more and more of the portal.
By the time the final grenade went off, the portal had been completely crushed and was in several amount of pieces. Chrysalis and Adagio finally broke through the locked door and saw that they arrived too late. Their enemy had escaped.
Clenching fists, grinding teeth, and angry eyebrows, Adagio picked up a piece of the machine and tossed it out of anger.
"Great. They've escaped. Now we have no chance of truly defeating them and ruling Equestria once and for all..." Adagio growled.
Chrysalis was unfazed by Adagio's anger. She had planned for this outcome.
"Relax my dear Adagio... I already have a plan set in motion. I have absorbed enough magic to open up a new portal to get us back to Equestria. Something that Toxigo himself cannot do... Hehehehe... we'll be there before they have the chance." Chrysalis replied.
Adagio smirked deviously after hearing that.
"Mark my words, Toxigo... you will not be so lucky next time we meet... And if you can't even handle a few of my insults, I relish seeing you in pain once your friends die.... Hehehehehehe...." Chrysalis chuckled evilly.
For the group didn't know, she was already many steps ahead of them...
Next Chapter: Chapter 15: Welcome to Equestria Estimated time remaining: 2 Hours, 39 MinutesAuthor's Notes:
Sorry if this seems rushed. Been trying to get off my lazy butt to get this chapter out.
