Previous Chapter Next Chapter

Author's Notes:

Sorry for the wait guys, been wanting to get more words and explanation into these two upcoming chapters. Enjoy it. You too Magic Step.

Also sorry if it seems rushed.

The next day at school, the students continued attending classes as normal, but this time things would be a little different, and it was clear things were different. This time Tox didn't show up to school at all, which made a bit of the staff worried. Until Principal Celestia received a very interesting video.

Later that day, Twilight and Sunset walked through the hallways on her way to the principal's office after being called down.

"You think Principal Celestia got the evidence Tox sent?" Twilight asked.

"I'm not sure." Sunset replied.

"Oh, were you able to talk to him?"

"No. He hasn't responded to any of my calls or texts. I even tried video chatting, but nothing. I've got to ask Principal Celestia if I can go see him." Sunset replied.

"Maybe she will. Oh and were you able to salvage any parts from the uh... explosion?" Twilight hesitated.

"I grabbed as much as I could, A few titanium plates, maybe 2 fingers, and what was left of the control panel." Sunset replied with a look of sadness on her face.

"Sunset are you okay?" Twilight asked.

"Yeah, why?" Sunset replied trying to shrug it off.

"You don't look fine Sunset, and I know you're not. What's wrong?" Twilight asked.

Sunset sighed heavily and looked at Twilight.

"I'm worried. That amulet is now beginning to corrupt him and we barely saved Indigo. You saw the look on his face. What if he's packing his stuff to flee town and never show up again? What if he never wants to talk to me again? What if goes back to Equestria? What if--"

"Sunset! Its okay." Twilight held onto Sunset's shoulders to get her to face her. "I'm sure he hasn't left yet. Lets just go see Principal Celestia, and then I'm sure you can go see him." Twilight smiled.

Sunset gave a smile back and hugged Twilight. "If you say so."

So the two of them reciprocated from the hug and entered in Principal's Celestia office. To their surprise, she had more visitors in the room. In the room as from what they could see, Principal Celestia sitting at her desk with Vice Principal Luna standing beside her, Abacus Cinch standing with Twilight's brother Shining Armor and sister-in-law Dean Cadence. And across sitting from Principal was a not so happy Neon Lights, and a stressed out Indigo Zap, Lemon Zest, Sour Sweet, Sugarcoat, and Sunny Flare.

"You called for us, Principal Celestia?" Sunset asked.

Principal Celestia nodded.

"Why is my brother and Dean Cadence here?" Twilight asked, and the minute she saw Cinch, she began to back up a bit.

"Twily, its okay. Cinch isn't here for personal revenge. In fact, she's actually helped us." Shining Armor replied.

Twilight's attention was then turned back to Principal Celestia speaking.

"It has come to our attention that our newest student had been bullied and still was dealing with it up to today. Am I correct?" Celestia asked.

"Yes." Sunset replied.

"And yesterday, Toxigo Paralysis sent us all this very interesting video footage." Celestia turned her computer monitor around revealing what was sent.

The videos being shown were all footage from his head, everything he had seen in the past, everything providing proof and evidence that he was bullied by the Crystal Prep kids.

The first video shown was him face to face with Sour Sweet, who began off by pushing him down showing in his vision the open arm out on a concrete road.

"Oh no... I think I know what's gonna happen..." Sunset braced for what was going to happen.

The sudden sound of a car revving and turning on was heard. And in a moment they could hear it screeching, as the sound of the engine was speeding closer and closer and closer, and closer....

"Turn it off, turn it off!" Sunset shouted, stressed to see the graphic detail that would be coming up.

Celestia luckily had stopped the video after seeing how stressed out Sunset was.

"I'm very sorry to scare you like that Sunset. Quite frankly, all of us were terrified to see those images." Celestia calmly replied.

"Even I was absolutely shocked to see the behaviors that were displayed." Cinch replied with her eyebrows in anger

Sunset lips snarled from seeing her. She still remembered exactly who this woman was and the actions that followed with her at the Friendship Games.

"Why is she here? Shouldn't she be trying to get more students to follow in her footsteps and protecting her reputation?" Sunset sarcastically asked. Of all the people that could have been in the room with her, she didn't want to deal with Abacus Cinch.

"Sunset, is it?" Cinch asked.

Sunset just slowly nodded, her eyes still giving the cold stare.

"I'll be honest. After an amount of consideration from the Friendship Games, I have come to realize my actions weren't very professional. And, I must admit, I am utterly ashamed. I became so obsessed with my reputation, that I became a ruthless, unjust, sociopathic monster. I did some things that I myself am not too proud of. I did nothing to stop bullying when there was true hard evidence in front of me, I forced Twilight into releasing a supernatural power that even I should have realized was dangerous on its own. If I'd known my actions were going to hurt my own students, I would have done something. But... I didn't. And so, I owe Canterlot High, and you two a serious apology. However, right now we're getting off topic. As of today, a former student of mine and your newest one as I am told, has sent me evidence regarding being... bullied. I couldn't believe my own students nearly stooped to almost committing an act of murder in an attempt to stop a student from wanting to make friends. In fact, this wasn't the first time. Neon Lights along with several of his friends kept on abusing other students to do what he said to keep Crystal Prep a living Tartarus."

"That bastard didn't belong at CPA in the first place, and if supported our school I wouldn't have hurt him now would I?" Neon remarked.

"You watch your foul mouth Neon... Anyways, we will be heavily punishing him for his actions against Toxigo, and for a majority of students of Crystal Prep. Where is Toxigo anyways?" Cinch asked.

"He's not showing up because of something that happened yesterday. And I need to talk to him. He's not returning calls, he won't answer a text, nothing." Sunset replied.

"If you wish to go see him, go right ahead. You have my permission." Celestia replied.

"Thank you. And I will be back with him." Sunset said before stepping out the door.

So as Sunset began heading outside and walking over to the parking lot, everyone still in Principal Celestia's office continued to talk.

"Anyways, I didn't want to believe what I had seen was true, but Shining Armor did bring some very interesting... reports if you will." Cinch replied.

Shining Armor laid photos and documents out on Celestia's desk. Some of that they could see were crime scene photos like of the dislocated arm, and even pages of doctors notes describing the illness and injury.

"All of those just helped back up Tox's evidence. And it just goes to prove more reasons that make me glad Twily had left Crystal Prep so she didn't have to deal with that." Shining Armor then gave a cold stare towards the 6 students sitting in the chairs.

While part of Twilight was thankful she didn't get hurt, she was still terrified of their actions and for her own friend having somehow survived that. She couldn't imagine what he had gone through and could only pray that he was okay.

Sunset drove on a motorcycle all the way over to Toxigo's dojo home, with a box attached and sitting on the back of the bike with what was left of his prosthetic arm and the Alicorn Amulet. Luckily a tarp was strapped over it to keep it in. But all Sunset could think about was whether he was okay or not.

So she parked the motorcycle, grabbed the box and began walking up to the front door. She placed the cardboard box down so she had free hands, and knocked.

"Toxy? You there?"

"Go away!" Tox yelled. Sunset could tell he wasn't okay. He sounded as if he was trying not to cry.

"Toxy, please. Can't we talk?" Sunset pleaded.

"There isn't anything to talk about! I overdosed the use of that infernal amulet, and I almost killed someone. Just leave me be so I won't hurt you!" Tox shouted.

"Please? Can you just talk to me?" Sunset asked.

She listened for a moment and didn't hear a sound, until he spoke again.

"You're not gonna leave until you talk to me, aren't you?" Tox groaned.

"Nope." Sunset bluntly replied.

Tox just moaned and opened the door partway, allowing a bit of light to shine on a side of his face. Sunset saw a bit of Tox she didn't see before. He wasn't wearing an eye patch this time, and surprisingly there was a black and yellow demonic colored eye surrounded by a bunch of skin that looked as if acid corroded part of it.

"Whoa... Is that why you wear the eye-patch?" Sunset asked.

Tox then opened the door all the way to look at her. His face shown major signs of depression, as well as change, his yellow eye had been affected by the amulet, now colored in a demonic red. He was still dressed in the same tank top and short black spandex leggings, but he dropped the belt attached with the short sheet coat.

"Yeah. Its a fake eye by the way. I had it ordered to look this way for a scary factor." Tox weakly joked. "Also... look down at my feet."

"Why?"

"Just... look."

Sunset looked down and she gasped slightly. Apparently he didn't just have a prosthetic arm, but he had a prosthetic right foot. It was metallic, there were some bars and joints keeping it up, only the foot was very talon-like. Two talons out in the front, with a heel behind keeping him balanced.

"But... how? If you've been wearing the boots, how does--"

Sunset's attention was back down as she listened to the sounds of metal clanking, gears turning, and whirring as she saw the talon foot began transforming back into a human foot, but was still metallic.

"Same technology that my once arm was." Tox then opened the door all the way and allowed her to walk in.

"You want anything to drink, or no?" Tox asked.

"Um, no thanks." Sunset replied, and then put the box on a chair. "I, um... got what's left of your arm. It kind of, blew up. I tried to salvage most of it, but most of it kind of, burned..."

"Its fine. I have plenty of metal parts to rebuild it." Tox replied sitting on the couch, and then Sunset followed and sat next to him.

"You.... You want to talk about what happened, yesterday?" Sunset hesitated.

"What's there to talk about Sunset? That amulet transformed me into a raging psychotic monster. I almost killed people, because of that damn thing." Tox's voice was incredibly furious, and his other arm that still possessed flesh was shaking, and his fist was clenched tight on the couch.

"Its not your fault. I didn't think that amulet would stop and take over you like that." Sunset replied.

Tox then stared at Sunset, still keeping the depressed face and asked. "Where's the amulet?"

"I put it in the box..." Sunset hesitated, waiting for Tox to flip out.

"Never take it out of that box. Don't even hand it back to give to me, that thing is too dangerous and I almost killed someone with it, and I can't even go out and face anyone after...af...after what I've...I've done." Tox replied, and sniffed as a tear came down his face.

"Oh Toxy..."

Sunset held Tox in a tight hug and she pat his back to give him comfort, and listened as he cried on her shoulder. No wonder he hadn't left the house. He was too afraid to even step out and see anyone.

"Its okay..." Sunset cooed.

"Sunset, look at me. I'm crying like a baby, I almost killed someone who tried to stop me from killing someone else, I'm disabled, and everyone hates me!"

"Toxy, no..." Sunset's hand was placed onto the side of Toxigo's face, so she could look him in the eye.

"You're not a baby. Not at all. And no one hates you. We still like you, and all of CHS likes you. You helped defend some of our friends, and not to mention that you're from Equestria and you've been nothing but nice, and sweet, and kind to all of us around here. You're my best friend. Don't ever forget that." Sunset finished.

Tox looked at Sunset, but his eyes turned looking away, still not convinced. Sunset was a little disheartened to see him sad, and she came up with one last remark to see if it'd get a smile on his face.

"You know, I understand you're disabled, but... I have to say, the prosthetics kind of make you look like an action hero. That's kind of awesome." Sunset stated.

That compliment got a smile on Toxigo's face and looked at Sunset smiling.

"Thanks."

So, after a bit of silence, Sunset got into thinking, and asked.

"Hey uh, we're having the 'Welcome New Students Party' at school. Want to join us?" Sunset offered.

Tox pondered as to whether or not he should join, but came to agreement. "I would. However, I can't really go until my arm gets repaired. And unfortunately, that's going to take some time. Unless, you want to help repair me?" Tox offered.

Sunset beamed with joy. She was gonna be able to spend more time with Toxy?

"Sure, yeah. I love to!"

"Sweet, follow me."

Toxigo led Sunset over to the garage and the two of them began pulling out parts. A few minutes later one of the tables they cleared off for arm repair was now surrounded by metal, steel, gears, wires, macro-resistors, and many different computer and technology parts.

The remains of the arm that was attached to Toxigo was resting on the table, ready to be repaired, and now Toxigo and Sunset wore workshop outfits.

"Now lets see what we can do to fix this." Tox stated.

Sunset smiled as she flipped down her welder's mask, followed by Tox who flipped down a mask as well. And so activating a blowtorch, they began repairs.

Back at CHS, the 5 Shadowbolt girls were now sitting in the Rainboom's practice room, all sitting patiently with Twilight and the others. However, there was a bit of awkward silence as they just... sat there. No one said a word, no one moved a muscle. The other Rainbooms excluding Twilight just stared down at the Shadowbolts after they were also shown the same video evidence regarding their actions. Nothing but shame could be found on their faces.

"So... how have you've been doing?" Indigo asked trying to break the tension.

All she got back were more angry stares with Twilight being the only one not giving any look of anger towards them.

"Is.... Is Toxigo okay?" Sunny hesitated.

More silence ensued. None of them wanting give them the satisfaction.

"You uh... Any of you single?" Lemon asked.

From that question alone the girls gave her awkward stares.

"I'm only asking!" Lemon with her hands in the air with protest.

Twilight looked down at her phone and received a text from Sunset. Her eyes moved as she read the text, with it reading:

Twilight.

Toxy's okay. I have talked with him, he seems to be alright. However he's not going to be wearing the Alicorn Amulet for a while. However I did manage to help fix him up, and we're heading out the door going back to CHS. See you soon.

Sunset.

Twilight gave a smile and texted back.

Okay. Hope you return soon, right now our friends are kind of going off on a stare off against the Shadowbolts.

After a bit of repairs, Toxigo's arm was finally healed and now Sunset hopped onto her motorcycle, and Toxigo held onto her sides as they rode down the open road on their way to Canterlot High.

As Toxigo looked at the houses and cars speeding right past them, along with the wind blowing against his skin, Sunset kept her eyes out on the road ahead, all the while Toxigo held onto her tight in fear of possibly falling off the bike.

"You okay back there?" Sunset asked.

"I'm fine! Just trying to keep myself from falling off. I've fallen off motorcycles before and it hurts. A lot! Especially when it falls on you."

Sunset couldn't help but chuckle at his witty remark.

10 minutes had passed and finally, they had arrived back at Canterlot High.

Sunset threw the brakes and flipped the parking handle on her motorcycle, and helped Toxigo get off the bike.

"You okay?" Sunset asked.

"I'm good!" Toxigo winced, walking stiff. "Just, give me a minute."

Eventually Toxigo finally healed of his supposed injury and began walking with Sunset inside the school. This time Toxigo now wore the same tank top and short spandex tights, with the belt and waistcoat attached, but this time, he only wore his one left boot with his cutie mark embezzled on the front. He left behind the other boot, allowing everyone to see the other prosthetic limb. It did look more exposed and open without any metal plating over it, but on Toxigo's part it was intentional.

They entered inside and found their way to the practice room. Toxigo opened the door first and gestured for Sunset to go first.

"After you milady?" Tox asked.

"Oh, thanks." Sunset cooed.

Sunset entered in first and her friends all turned their heads giving a friendly smile to her, and an even more friendly smile when Toxigo entered.

"Toxigo?" The five Rainbooms asked. They didn't expect him to return after what had happened yesterday.

"Uh... hey. Sorry for scaring you like that yesterday. I, didn't know what came over me." Toxigo's head hung in shame.

"Hey, don't worry about it." Rainbow replied. "None of us didn't know that Amulet corrupted you and made you go crazy. Uh, no offense."

Tox just sighed. "None taken..."

"Oh come on!!!" Sour complained.

"Seriously?" Sunny whined.

"He gets forgiven but we get an angry stare down?" Lemon stared.

Toxigo then stared at the five girls with a scary look on his face and they quickly stopped complaining. Especially when they saw two parts of him they never seen before. One being the scary glass eye on the left side of his face which made them all gasp, and when they looked down and saw the right prosthetic leg underneath the knee.

"Okay. Which one of you did that?" Rainbow asked sarcastically.

"None of them did that Rainbow, the leg was my own fault. And I don't want to get into detail but... lets just say its probably best to just call the authorities when you got a cell phone right next to you as your leg is trapped underneath a giant pile of scrap metal at a junkyard."

"EW!!!! Ugh..." Rarity couldn't help herself, the implications alone were disturbing enough. But she noticed how Toxigo was still standing there and staring at her awkwardly. "Oh, uh... sorry to hear about that, darling."

"Its fine. I've already learned to live with pain and little to no flesh. Anyways..." Tox's head turned towards the Shadowbolts girls all looking incredibly ashamed. "Why are they here? I'm sure they don't have any interest to talk to me after I almost killed one of them."

"No, we do." Indigo said. She stood up on her feet and looked Toxigo in the mismatched colored eyes.

"Thats a little unsettling. Anyways... Look, about everything that happened between us, and all of those months of torture and abuse we gave you for not supporting Crystal Prep at the Friendship Games. I... I wanted to make up with you, if... if that's okay?" Indigo hesitated.

Toxigo however wasn't convinced in the slightest.

"Make up? Why would I make up with you five? All of you from day one kept on bullying me and tried to make my life living Tartarus! You didn't care about how I feel, and you never did! And all because I do stuff that suddenly damages your reputation you're begging me to forgive you? That's incredibly pathetic you know!"

"But we--" Indigo pleaded.

"There's no but, and there's no we. I dumped you a long time ago because of all of the bullshit you had me go through. What kind of idiots are you? Putting your goddamn reputation before the lives of every human being around you, real mature of you! And for that matter, what did Twilight do to deserve your crap? What did either one of us do!? All I wanted to do was live a normal life, a life where I could live in peace without having to worry about any impending danger. But because of you girls, I had to keep to myself and keep running and hiding from all of you Prepping assholes! And Indy... Why did you even attack me? I was your own boyfriend, I wanted to protect you, I wanted to give you care and respect like any human being! What did I do that warranted you running me over with my car almost killing me!?"

The four Shadowbolt girls minus Indigo were in complete shock. They had no right to hurt him, and there was no chance of ever making up with him. They took a sweet guy who just wanted friends and turned him into an angry raging isolated wall.

"Dude. we... we just--" Lemon began.

"Lemon, stop." Indigo interrupted.

"Wh-What?" Lemon asked.

"Stop. Forget it. I give up." Indigo said as she held her hand on her face.

"But, we can't give up. You said you wanted to make up with him." Sour asked.

"Well we just... we... we just can't!" Indigo yelled. Her eyes were now watering and becoming bloodshot. Was she crying?

"Just...forget it! He's right. We can't make up with him! After all of the... bullshit, that we put him through, I wouldn't blame him for it!" Indigo's voice was shaking trying to get the words out, and tears leaked from her face.

Toxigo was really surprised to see the emotion from his ex. She was sorry after all. And maybe he shouldn't have given her poor judgement...

"Zappy?" Toxigo interjected.

"No, Toxy! I understand! You hate me, I get it!" Indigo cried into her hands.

"Zappy?"

"Just say it! You hate me, I'm a huge asshole!"

And Toxigo did the most unthinkable, unimaginable thing he could have done. He walked over to Indigo and held her in a hug and pat her back as she continued to sob. And to her surprise as she opened her eyes, she saw the slick dark green hair beside her.

"T-Toxy?" Indigo stammered.

Toxigo and Indigo reciprocated from the hug, and Toxigo wiped the tears away from Indigo's face with a smooth metal finger.

"I didn't believe you before. But, after what I've seen here... I can tell you're not lying." Tox smiled.

Indigo's spirits beamed. He couldn't be...

"You.... You mean you--"

"Now, hold on." Toxigo interrupted. "I'm still mad at you girls for what you did. And I'm willing to make up with you girls, however that's going to take some time and you're gonna have to make up BIG TIME for it."

"I understand Toxy. And we kind of made a start for it." Indigo replied, sniffing.

"How so Zappy?"

"We heard that you were getting harassed by the hospital for not having enough money to pay for your medical bills for the robotic limb replacements, so we all chipped in and used our money to pay for your bill. You won't have to worry about them anymore dearie." Sunny Flare replied.

Toxigo then gave a bit of a weak smile and looked at Flare and said, "Thank you, Flare. All of you, for that."

"Not a problem dude."

"No worry at all."

"So, are you guys okay now?" Sunset asked, getting their attention.

"I'll be fine Sunset. They still have a lot to do if they're going to earn my respect though. But I suppose for now I can drop the grudge." Toxigo replied getting smiles from everyone in the room.

So the group now with their problems restored and fixed, they walked back to the gym and joined in on the party. The Mane 7 however, first went over to a dressing room to change into dresses for the party, and then came back. Soon they all sat at a table and continued to talk.

"So, they have to earn his respect if he's going to fully forgive them?" Applejack asked.

"Yep. Simple as that."

"Well at least you're all finally making up. Heaven forbid we have another rivalry fight again." Rarity replied.

Everyone nodded at that, and proceeded to join in on the party festivities. The group sitting at the table watched as the Shadowbolts jammed out and had fun with everyone in the disco shining party. Tox heard Abacus Cinch call for his name, and he walked over to talk to her.

"Yes Principal Cinch?"

"First of all I'd like to apologize for not doing anything to stop all of the bullying you had to deal with all of the years. I should never have run Crystal Prep with the idea of being one on top and having no mercy that it drove them to the point of abusing anyone that stood in their way."

"I don't understand the logic behind that, but keep going." Tox replied.

"But most importantly, I am glad to see you're alright. It's probably for the best you come here to Canterlot High. It seems they understand a lot more on the concept of being proper than anyone at Crystal Prep. But if there's anything you need or want to talk about, my door is always open."

"Thank you Abacus Cinch. Although I must ask, what was going on in your head when you were gonna have Twilight unleash the magic?" Tox raised a brow.

"That was all my anger and competition side speaking. My mind wasn't in the right place at the time and I should have known better to not mess with a power you don't understand nor control."

"Okay. Just promise you won't do something like that again?"

Giving a friendly smile, Abacus looked at Tox and said. "That is a promise, I plan to keep."

Tox gave a smile to Abacus, and then proceeded to have a seat at the table with everyone else as they enjoyed the party. Tox however noticed Sunset was looking a little sad, but he figured out why. She had been watching some of the young couples that were dancing out on the floor, and just by the look on her face, he could tell what was up with her. Eventually at some point, Tox gestured Rarity to follow him out of the gym and back into their music room.

"What is it darling?"

"I need a suit. I want to ask Sunset if she wants to dance."

"Well of course!"

Toxigo didn't remember what had happened, but he remember being tossed into a separate room where he went through several suit changes. Eventually he found just the one he wanted. He now wore a dark green blazer, with the sleeves tucked up, black pants, and wore a minty green tie. He looked into a mirror staring at his reflection finding himself to be a very handsome colt, er man.

"I appreciate you helping me Rarity. I know it seems a little much to ask..-"

"Oh its not trouble at all darling. Helping my friends in need is what gives me energy!" At that moment, Rarity ponied up, once again sprouting the ears, and the long ponytail. Eventually she died down and turned back to her normal self, and exited the room. Tox faced himself in the mirror just checking himself one last time, and exited out of the room, walking into the gym room and sat down at the table Sunset Shimmer was sitting at.

"Hey Shimmer-cakes." Tox said with a smile.

"Hey Toxy. Nice suit." Sunset replied.

"Thanks. I love your dress."

"Thank you."

"So, uh, how's the party going? Looks like everyone's getting along pretty well."

"They are. And the party hasn't been interrupted once, not even by Abacus Cinch."

"That's good to hear." Tox replied. He then paused for a bit and could see Sunset was feeling a little down. "You alright Sunset?"

"Yeah I'm fine, just remembering when I used to have Flash. But as I've said before, he was just for popularity. But now that I think about it, I do kind of wish I was dating. Someone to hold hands with, someone to go on romantic dates with, someone... to love, you know?"

"I know Shimmer-cakes. I know."

After a bit of silence Toxigo thought over how she was feeling. Even thought they both were friends, they still had feelings towards one another. And he wanted to take her out on a date, but tonight wasn't going to be the night for it. But he got an idea as to how to cheer her up. So he got up, faced her and asked--

"Hey uh, you want to go out on the dance floor?" He asked extending a metallic hand. Sunset gave a smile and took his hand. And just like before, he ponied up again, and he died down once more. Soon the both of them walked down onto the dance floor as now they were playing a slow song. The song that was playing was We Belong Together by Robert and Johnny.

You're mine... and we belong together....

Toxy and Sunset both then danced together to the slow moving song enjoying each others company, and both stared into each others eyes and eye as they danced to the music. Tox's fleshy hand slid between Sunset's fiery red hair, feeling very silky smooth between the fingers. In the backgrounds, there were other couples who were dancing as well, and Flash was dancing with Sci-Twi as well. And as they danced, the Shadowbolts sat at a table and smiled as they watched their new soon to be friend finally relaxing from all of their terror. As the Shadowbolts watched him dance with Sunset, they all made an agreement from there on, they would all begin a new friendship with Toxigo, and pay for all of their mistakes, but for now, they would enjoy the party.

Little did any of them know that they were all watched by a pair of monstrous green eyes, who had watched everything. And little do any of them know they soon will be in something very bad...

"Hehehehe... Well, this might be easier than I thought."

Sunset walked with Toxigo back to his home just before she was going to leave for the night, and as they walked up to the front door...

"You know, this night turned out a lot better than I thought." Toxigo stated.

"Yeah, it did, didn't it?" Sunset smiled. "You're gonna talk to them right?"

"Shimmercakes..." Toxigo whined.

"You said you'd give them the benefit of the doubt." Sunset retorted still keeping her friendly voice.

Toxigo groaned. He really didn't want to, but how could he resist saying no to his Shimmercakes? "Okay, I'll try to work with them."

"I know you can." Sunset smiled.

"Alright. So, shall I see you tomorrow then?" Toxigo quickly said.

"Yeah. See you later Toxy."

"I'll miss you!" Toxigo called out making Sunset laugh.

What Sunset didn't see was Toxigo muttering to himself in anger. "Damn it man, you should have asked her out."

Toxigo unlocked the door into his home groaning over his own failure. He had been getting closer and closer with Sunset ever since they hung out, and he wanted to ask her out on a date. He wanted to call her, his very own girlfriend. The thought alone made him incredibly giddy.

But as he was about to go and turn the lights out for the night--

KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK

Toxigo was taken aback. Did Sunset come back to ask him something?

So he walked back and opened the door, and was met with a blow to the face and fell on the floor. He arched his head up slightly and was met with the sight of a devious Sunset Shimmer smirking.

"Here's.... Sunny!" she deviously said.
