I can't remember my last name from all those years ago, but I do remember my story of how I saved Equestria from its enemies. Huh? You want to hear it? Well, let start from the beginning then.
"You ready yet?" I heard my friend Liana call from outside my room.

"Almost, just give me a sec." I replied. We were getting ready to go to a gaming convention. Me and and my friend Liana made our costumes from scratch. She was going as Lara Croft from the Tomb Raider series. Her costume was great. From the hair to the boots looked exactly like Lara Croft. She even had prop guns. I kept my costume a mystery from her as a surprise. I gave her a hint as it being my favorite commander.
Of course her first guess was 'Commander Shepard', but she was wrong. She tried a ton of other commanders from gaming, but they were all wrong. I knew this was going to surprise her and make her feel stupid. Once I finished putting on my final armor pad, I went to the door and began to open it. Once I opened the door all the way, Liana was able to get a good look at my costume.
"Ho-ly shit." Was all she could say. I was wearing Commander Anomaly's battle suit from Anomaly: Warzone Earth. I made it from an old master chief suit that I modified, smoothed out and removed the upper arm armor. Under the body armor I had a dark grey long sleeve shirt with dark grey cargo pants on. I made his helmet with an old military helmet my friend George had, a pair of snow goggles and a balaclava with the design of Commander anomaly's balaclava sewn into it. So it looked something like this.
But of course, you cant be Commander Anomaly without the ability pack on your back. I had it painted on with glow in the dark paint. I arranged the ability pack just like in the game, with the repair ability (sort of like a healing ability) on the bottom, the airstrike ability (makes an airstrike that only hurts enemy units) on the top, the smokescreen ability (creates a cloud of smoke that only you and your allies can see through) on the right and the decoy (creates a fake you that acts and looks exactly like you) on the left.
"Like it?" I asked.
"It's awesome!" She replied with enthusiasm. "Now I know why you kept it a secret."
"Thanks. Wait, watch this." I said as I moved towards the light switch.
"What are you do... woah." Was all she could say is I flicked the light switch, revealing the light blue glow from my ability pack.
"You even got the pack to glow! But how?" She asked with curiosity.
"Glow in the dark paint and cutouts." I answered, getting an 'ohhhh' In response.
"Isn't George waiting for us outside?" I said
"Yeah, he is." She replied. We then walked out of the front door of my nice little one story home in the suburbs and I locked it behind us. As we were walking to Georges car, I saw him in the driver seat reading an electronics magazine. He was dressed as Preston Garvey from Fallout 4 with looks to match and a prop laser musket.

As we got closer to the car, George looked up from his magazine and saw us.
"Nice armor. Commander Anomaly?" George asked, wanting to know if he was right.
"Yeah. And you don't look to bad yourself. Also, another settlement needs your help." I replied with an unseen smirk. We all shared a laugh at this.
"Thanks. Now lets get this show on the road." George said. He got into the car. I got in the back seat while Liana got into the front passenger seat. We drove out of the suburbs and towards our gaming convention.
The place was massive. I could see stalls of all kinds selling different trinkets. There was tons of people there. There were cosplayers that ranged from Steve from Minecraft to people with T-51 power armor from Fallout. The funny thing was is that I was the only one that went as Commander Anomaly.
I was constantly getting compliments from Anomaly fans and getting asked if they could have a picture with me. Of course I say yes to that. I also entered a costume contest and got 3rd place. But that's when I saw it. A stand with perfect key chain replicas of the abilities from Anomaly.
I approached the stall that had the little trinkets. The merchant behind the counter was dressed as a scribe Rothchild from Fallout 3. When I got to the counter separating us, I looked behind him to see what other things he had. He also had an energy sword from Halo, Lara Croft's ice pick, a laser rifle from Fallout, the key chain attachments and a bunch of other stuff.
"How much for the Anomaly key chain attachments?" I asked.
"Normally, it's 15 dollars each, but for an Anomaly fan like you? 8 Dollars each." He answered in Rothchild's voice.
"Awesome! Also, nice costume. Must have taken forever to make. You look exactly like Rothchild. I'll take them all." I said as I got out my wallet and placed 32 dollars on the counter. I couldn't believe my luck.
"Indeed it did." He said as he turned around and got the ability key chain attachments off the wall and handed them to me. "Have fun in Equestria. Also, say hi to Twilight for me."
"Wait, what?" Was all I could say before I saw a blinding flash. I suddenly felt like I was falling. Fast.
