Harmony's Champion
Chapter 19: Looking in the mirror
Previous Chapter Next ChapterI was running. Why? Because it was the goddamned Stalker that found me, and in game, I was never able to beat the Stalker out of when you have to for Second Dream. Hell, I could only make one of the acolytes flee solo during Shadow Debt because they got stuck in the map. At least, running was my plan before an arrow tipped with a half circle sharped to a razor edge came down in front of me from above. I looked above me and saw that, A: I was in a forest of sorts, and B: Stalker was in the trees, and that he had put away Dread, his bow, and brought out Hate, his scythe, and jumped down from the branches, landing in front of me, making me jump back before drawing Silva, causing a blade of green flame to sprout from the hilt, and causing Aegis to expand to its full size.
"Look, I don't want to fight you," I said while putting Aegis in front of my body. "I just want to know where I am, and get home."
"You are Tenno," Stalker said in his trademarked, strangled whisper voice. "Removing you is a service to that country. All you bring is death and destruction."
"Okay, look, I can see why you'd think that, but I'm not an actual-shit!" I said just as he attacked, making me shut up so as to concentrate on blocking an attack from the scythe. I was able to push him back a little, opening a window for me to attack, which I obviously did, but the strike was blocked with Hate's hilt, showing that any weapons used by Tenno, or anything like a Tenno, is able to resist just about anything.
I was about to pull back before he did a leg sweep, making me fall to the ground, and forcing me to roll out of the way of Hate's blade as it came down on where my chest had been located. I got to my feet and brought Aegis to my right side just before a second strike hit that side. I pushed back and retaliated with my own strike, but Stalkers imply rolled out of the way, putting Hate on his back, before drawing Despair, his Kunai, from his thigh pouches, and throwing them at me, making me put my shield in front of me to deflect them away, which allowed him to close in and strike once again with Hate.
This little dance continued for a few minutes, with us only rarely alternating who did what specific actions, until we had closed yet again, my shield catching Hate's blade, and the sword on its hilt. This time, I had made sure my stance was solid, preventing him from making me eat dirt with a leg sweep.
I though we'd be stuck there for a few more minutes until a voice I, and, judging from his reaction, Stalker knew. "Both of you, cease this at once," Harmony said to my left, making both of us turn our heads in that direction, and see her standing there. "Stalker, you should know better than to attack those who haven't yet done wrong. And you, Excalibur, did not need to attack either."
"Why's that?" I asked, my weapons still locked with the Stalker's.
"Because, like you, the Stalker is one of my champions."
Uh, what? "Uh, what?"
Harmony rolled her eyes. "You are in the mirror to your Equestria, Excalibur," she replied. "And you have met with and fought your opposite."
"Harmony," Stalker said, "you can not trust a Tenno."
"Yes, if he was from the actual universe the both of you draw your form and names from," Harmony said. "And stop with the voice. It's getting annoying."
The black and red Pseudo-Tenno cleared his throat before speaking in a more normal voice. "My apologies, but you know as well as I that helps with the hunts you give me, and I assumed this was one when you told me to find him," he said, pointing at me. "You did not tell me that they would be a Displaced as I am, nor that they're a Tenno."
"Because I did not think that it mattered," the goddess replied. "Regardless, do you have any question Excalibur?"
"How long have I been out?" I asked, as the question of, "where I was" was answered already.
"Near a month," Harmony said. "Being banished here by Limbo and not going through the mirror put a strain on both you and your frame, and you were knocked out so as to keep you alive."
"And how are the others?" I asked.
"Well," she replied. "I told them you are alive and here, and that I will help you return when possible. A few others have been made Tenno as well for your group. As for Celestia's group, they've become heroes in the public eye, and have had two added to their ranks via Gaia using her magic to create Atlas and Inaros(1) before giving them to two ponies."
"And just how many Tenno are in his Equestria?" Stalker asked.
"Twenty seven, currently," Harmony said. "Before you ask, Excalibur, the Acolytes are in this Equestria."
"Oh joy," I sarcastically replied before Stalker and I stepped away from one another and sheathed our weapons. "I'm hoping they won't attack me on sight."
"They do not know of what the Tenno did in-game," Stalker said.
I rubbed my forehead, even though I still had the helmet on. "Okay, this is just to make sure I understand everything. "I'm in the mirror Equestria, which is most likely ruled by this world's Sombra; this world's Celestia and Luna are evil, and, if I'm right, the mirror version of the Tenno back home are the Acolytes here?"
"Yes on all three," Harmony replied. "Though, here, the Stalker and the Acolytes are in the public eye as heroes, though, given the morality of it here, they do not need to hide the necessary evil they do."
"You lucky fucks," I muttered.
"Regardless," Harmony said, "this has played out better than I thought."
"Why?" I asked.
"Because my Celestia, Luna, and Cadence have begun to attack Sombra and his allies," Stalker said. "Even with my Acolytes and me helping them, they have had multiple important victories. We need help."
"And I had hoped that more than just you would come," Harmony said, "but with the mirror under Celestia's ownership, we'll have to make do with you for now."
"Gee, thanks," I said. "Though, i do have one other question," I said.
"What?" Harmony asked.
"Why. The. Hell did you make Blueblood Limbo?"
Harmony sighed. "Should have seen that one coming," she said. "I made him a Tenno because the personality he shows in public is just a guise to get in the circles of other nobles so that he can report back to Celestia on them. Otherwise, he is quite a gentlestallion."
"And he is somehow the same here," Stalker said just before an explosion ripped through the forest, causing each of us to jump, and turn in the direction of it. "They're attacking the town," he said in a growl. "I hoped that they wouldn't be so bold after the defeat they had yesterday, but it seems I was wrong."
"Excalibur-"
"I know," I said before drawing my Soma rifle. "Lead the way, Stalker."

So, a question for my fellow masters of gun and blade. A load out one, specifically: I'm currently making hunter load outs to deal with each faction-Grineer, Corpus, Infested, Orokin, and, whenever I go to the moon, Sentient-and have one for Orokin and Sentient, which use the same loadout, and Corpus. My question is what frames and weapons are best for Grinner and Infested? BTW, the Corpus Hunter is Mag with high impact weapons-Currently the Mutalist Cernos, Magnus, and Lecta modded with magnetic damage- and the Orokin and Sentient Hunter is Ex with Soma, currently Aksomatia, and Silva & Aegis.
1:Given what was revealed at Pax, I've changed the future plans a little, Inaros is in, Nezha and Wukong are out, and that Fairy Warframe, which had better be named Titania, will be in, so, depending on when this arc is finished, the story may or may not go on Hiatus. It'll depend on if the Fairy frame is released before then
