Scarlet Blitz quietly hummed to herself as she trotted down the hall. An old friend of hers had come to Canterlot with a "surprise" as she had called it on the telephone. A smile spread across her face at the thought of Frost Bloom's warm, cheery grin. Now that she had gotten over the fact that Scarlet and Onyx were together, Frost Bloom was a happier pony.

"Congratulations." a tiny pair of voices said in unison, causing the pegasus to leap into the air with alarm. With wide eyes, Scarlet swung her head around, searching for the cause of the noise.

"Who said that?!" the soon mother of two called.

"It was us! Down here!" the voices called. Scarlet Blitz slowly lowered herself to the ground and spotted the source of the noise. It was two tiny, orange alicorns with small smiles upon their faces.

"Hello, twins." Scarlet said, leaning down so that her head was almost on the floor.

"Kon'nichiwa!" they exclaimed. Seeing the white pegasus' blank expression, they continued. "It means hello in Neighponese!" they exclaimed.

"OOH. I see." Scarlet Blitz said. "Anyhow! What can I do for ya?" she asked the tiny princesses.

"It is about Operation: Final Wars!" the said at the same time. "When Onyx was killed... and brought back from the dead, the life force of Mothra was imputed into his DNA..."

"Yeah? What about it?" the mare asked in confusion.

"Well... His blood has strands of Mothra's DNA, so, there will be side effects that may not show for several years." the two ponies said with frowns.

"Like what? What kind of side effects?" Scarlet asked, her eyebrows forming a slight scowl.

"One side effect may be a rapid growth in wings resembling those of Mothra. Others could include mood swings for a certain period of time and becoming more susceptible to pain for a period of time as well. In that time, you may want to keep Onyx away from his job until he is more like himself." the princesses answered.

"Well then, Onyx already goes through mood swings, but he is not weak. So, yes, I will do what I can to keep him away from machinery." Scarlet Blitz said. "Thank you."

With that, the two twin alicorns rapidly beat their small wings with an insect like quality and flew away. The white pegasus smiled to herself. With a chuckle, she thought of how her husband would look with butterfly wings. Pretty silly.

-Gates of Canterlot-

"Look presentable." Frost Bloom commanded the Pteranodon gryphon with a wide smile upon her face. Toucan proudly puffed out his chest and smiled.

"How do I look?" he asked.

"PERFECT!" Frost exclaimed, turning to Canterlot's gates. The icy blue mare banged on the door. "HELLO?!" she called.

"Welcome." a voice said. It appeared to be Ratchet. "Ah, Frost Bloom! Good to see you again!" he said with a wide grin, opening the door with seemingly supernatural strength. "Who's this?" he then asked, nodding at Toucan with a welcoming smile.

"This is Toucan. He's from, what'd you call it? Jurassic World?" she asked the gryphon.

"Yep!" Toucan grinned.

"Toucan, some of the other Jurassic World ponies are here too. Perhaps you would like to see them?" Ratchet asked the Pteranodon gryphon.

"Why not?" he replied with a smile.

Ratchet turned to a guard and whispered something into his ear. The pony nodded in response and approached the gryphon. "This way." he said, leading Toucan away.

"It is good to see you again, really." Ratchet told Frost Bloom when the two were gone. The icy blue mare nodded in agreement. "How have you been, anyway?" he then asked.

"Okay, I guess." Frost shrugged. "Found Toucan on the streets wandering around." she continued, not noticing a trio of ponies approaching her from behind.

"Boo." a voice said. With a terrified scream, Frost Bloom swung around and instinctively threw a hoof at the attackers face. With a thud, Rex yelled in pain. "WHAT THE HELL?!!" he yelled, a hoof against his nose, changing the way his voice sounded.

"Oh my gosh! I'm so sorry! Are you okay?!" Frost stammered, covering her mouth with her hoof.

"I've been better." Rex grumbled, rubbing his snout. Onyx and Ratchet had collapsed with laughter, their eyes tightly closed as the tried to calm down.

Obsidia, on the other hand, was not too happy with them. "Could you stop, please?!" she asked the two.

"I-I'm sorry, Baby. But that was hilarious. You should've seen his expression. He he." he chuckled, wiping a tear away from his eyelid. Ratchet was still trying not to laugh.

"Uncle Ratchet. Please stop!" the light brown pegasus growled at the guard.

"You should have seen his eyes... They were the size of dinner plates." he giggled, causing Onyx to erupt into laughter. "I should get back to work." Ratchet chuckled. "C'mon in." he continued, waving a hoof for them to enter the castle grounds.

"Glad you think it's funny." Rex growled to himself, rolling his eyes as he held his nose.

It was then that Ratchet noticed a pair of wings seeming to grow out of Onyx's back. Rubbing his eyes to make sure he wasn't seeing things, the father definitely had wings. "What?" the former mechanic muttered. "Cheese and rice! I didn't know Onyx was a pegasus!" he said to himself with a surprised expression.

-Canterlot-

Onyx and Obsidia trotted down the hall toward Scarlet Blitz. Rex calmly walked behind them, not paying any attention to Onyx. "Hi, Baby." Scarlet said to Onyx as he happily approached her. It was then that she noticed the strange pair of wings growing from his shoulder blades that the twin princesses told her about.

"Hey." the mechanic replied.

"Can I tell you something?" the white pegasus asked her husband with a nervous smile. Onyx nodded. "You remember that time when you died?"

"Yeah." the stallion said, raising his eyebrow. "Why?"

"You- Well. Look at your back." she ordered.

Onyx hesitantly swiveled his head and looked over his shoulder. His eyes briefly widened before he turned to look at Scarlet Blitz with a terrified expression.

"Who's laughing NOW?!" Rex growled at the father, noticing the moth wings.

"REX! Now is not the time." Scarlet snapped at the tyrannosaur. It was then that Onyx fell. Rex dove underneath the stallion as he fainted. With a raspy gasp, Rex worked the lifeless body onto his back.

"DAD!" Obsidia shouted, checking his neck for a pulse. With a heavy sigh of relief, the pony pulled her hoof away. "He's alive." she gasped with released worry.
