Chaos had erupted in the castle's throne room, dinosaur ponies and regular ponies arguing amongst themselves. Venom and Bastidon were fighting. Talon and Dawn as well. Even Rex and Onyx were arguing over Obsidia. It was then that Princess Celestia looked back on the pirate incident. It was NOTHING compared to dinosaurs.

With a sigh, Celestia sat on her haunches and rubbed her forehead. All of this commotion was giving her a manticore sized headache.

Suddenly, a loud knock echoed throughout the room, silencing everypony. "Come in." Celestia said. The doors burst open, revealing a furious King Sombra with an army of changelings behind him.

"Hello." the dark tyrant said with a smirk. "I have a score to settle with that one." he growled, pointing at Rex with a hoof. The large unicorn approached Sombra with a raised eyebrow.

He then promptly, threw a hoof at the grey unicorn's face.

Nearly everypony around the two winced at the thought of the damage that Rex had given. "OOOWW!" Sombra howled, lifting his hoof to his nose. Hesitantly, he pulled his hoof away and looked down at it. Everypony around them was dead silent. They hardly dared to breath as they waited for what was coming. The dark king's eyes began to leak a purple energy as he swelled with rage. "You... You son of a BITCH!!" Sombra snarled, glaring up at Rex.

"Yeees?" the dinosaur asked, acting as if he didn't know what he had done.

"You piece of fossilized S***!!!" the tyrant boomed, his eyes fuming. "I-I'll KILL you!!" he growled, taking a step back. "ATTAAAACK!!!" he yelled. On cue, the entire group of changelings charged the ponies.

"Uh... Oh..." Rex muttered as he was swarmed with King Sombra's army.

Nearby, Venom was dealing with his own problems. Other changelings began to surround the dilophosaur and flood him with questions. The poor dinosaur helplessly sat there.

"What's this for?" one hissed, feeling the frill of skin on Venom's neck.

"Why are you so brightly colored?" another asked.

"Would you like to join us?" And the questions went on.

Venom, becoming irritated with these small ponies, flared out his hood and hissed. The flap of skin furiously quivered as the former dinosaur tried to find a way out of the group.

"I think I found out what the hood's for!" a changeling shrieked as Venom lunged at it with his jaws gaping. The changeling dodged the dilophosaur's attack, only to be blinded by a sudden spray of black saliva. "AARRGH!!" the strange pony shrieked as he desperately rubbed his eyes. "Changeling down! I can't see!!" he shouted as Venom leapt at him with wide jaws.

With a sickening crunch, the changeling was killed. Green blood dripped from Venom's jaws as he began to undergo a physical change. First, his skull transformed, a hook like curve in his top jaw becoming visible. Teeth protruded from his jaw and the downy fur covering his head was replaced with yellow and orange scales.

His front arms grew thinner and grew long, sharp claws.

There he stood, a ten foot long Dilophosaurus with a blood stained snout and flaming orange markings.

"HE'S NOT A CHANGELING!!" a, well, changeling screeched in fear as the predatory dinosaur leapt at him with splayed talons. With a loud shriek, the dinosaur landed on top of the pony and began tearing him apart. Fading screams of pain filled the room along with the yells of other changelings and the clatter of Celestia's guards.

Venom wasn't the only transformed pony. As the Dilophosaurus began to be cornered by furious changelings, a wave of them was thrown into the air. Before he knew it, Bastidon, the living tank, was standing beside him. All thirty feet, seven tons of the Ankylosaurus.

It wasn't long before a Tyrannosaurus Rex, a Spinosaurus, an Indominus Rex, and a Dimetrodon were also fighting the army of changelings.

"What?!" the furious King Sombra said to himself as his vast army of changelings, seemingly invincible, were being pushed back by five unlikely opponents. "RRRRRRGGHH!!!" he boomed, charging the armored dinosaur, his horn glowing with purple energy and this same energy flowing from his eyes.

With a twisted smile, a blast of King Sombra's energy struck the Ankylosaurus' skull. With a painful bellow, the massive dinosaur collapsed to the ground. "HA HA HA!!!" King Sombra laughed as Bastidon fell to the marble floor with a dull tremor.

The unicorn turned around, preparing to kill the other dinosaurs. Standing right in front of him, however, was Rex. The forty foot long, seven ton Rex.

"Weakling! You can not-" he was cut off short as the Tyrannosaurus Rex clamped his jaws around the dark king. With a muffled scream, King Sombra was vanquished.

Rex lifted his large skull and uttered a bellow that could have drowned out the sound of thunder. The fighting changelings and dinosaurs looked up at the scarred king.

"There is somepony... somepony that I could call king." Princess Celestia muttered as the changelings turned tail and fled. Rex instantly reacted and ducked his skull, taking a mouthful of the strange ponies in the process.

At last, the battle was won. Rex slowly reverted to his stallion form and groaned. "I think I'm gonna be sick." he grumbled. "Remind me not to eat an entire army of weird ponies again." he muttered, holding his stomach and letting himself fall on his back.

"I'll keep that in mind Celestia replied, looming over him with a smile.

"We need your help!" Venom's voice cried. The celestial alicorn looked up at a panicked changeling. "It's Bastidon! He won't get up! He won't respond to anything!" he explained.

"I'll see what I can do." Princess Celestia responded calmly.

Walking over to the Ankylosaurus, the pony could instantly tell that Bastidon wasn't going to make it. One side of his head was badly burned and smoking from Sombra's blast.

Hesitantly, the alicorn lowered a hoof to his neck for a pulse. Sadly, she shook her head. "I'm sorry." she whispered. "There was only a slim chance of his survival anyway." she said, trying to calm the dilophosaur.

"NO!" Venom shouted, storming away.

"What's his problem?" Owen asked Celestia.

"Bastidon is dead." she acknowledged sadly. Owen Grady looked at her with a confused expression. "He was killed by King Sombra's energy blast." she explained.

"Oh." the stallion said.

The battle was won, but there was no feast, nor celebration. The following weak, the dead Ankylosaurus was cremated and his ashes sprinkled into a famous, respected, nearby river.
