Kevin was awoken by a gentle rocking causing him to yawn and look at the tall pink mare smiling softly at him. "Hey sweetie, it's time for school" she said as Kevin sat up.

      "But I am not suppose to start school till I'm 7" he said yawning and looked at his Mother that he has had for two months now.

        "Hmmm, well here in Equestria, ponies start at 5 and seeing the new school year has started seeing its Spring." She said as he nodded before he slipped out of the bed. " ah have set out some clothes from ms Belle for ya to put on Dear" she said smiling at him before she left the room.

       Kevin rubbed his arm before looking at the clothes, he didn't smell bad which Granny said he wouldn't till he was bigger so he could get away with showers, one of things he really hated. He walked over and changed out of his pj's and into a red Flannel top, seeing Pink wanted him to have Flannels like her, after he was dressed he yawned and rubbed his eyes before grabbing his bag, before coming to Equestria he was excited to start school but now, he was nervous as he was the only human, it didn't help that the Princess decided to make him her Nephew which he didn't get cause she wasn't related to his New dad or Mom. After shaking the thought he headed out of the room and down the stairs to find Granny Knelt down in front of Mac, who was walking towards her before falling on his face and giggling like a twit. "Odd" he muttered before he was picked up by his new Father.

       "Morning my boy, how did you sleep?" He asked as he carried Kevin into the kitchen.

        "I slept okay but I think I'm sick" he said gaining both his Parents attention.

        "What?! What's wrong dear?" Asked Pink as he was sat down in a chair and Sword placed the back of his hand against Kevin's head.

         "His tempeture is alright, what abo... Ooof" Sword was saying before he was pulled out of the way by Granny, who sat on a chair in front of him.

          "Are ya still worried about goin' ta ah Pony School?" She asked as Kevin hesitantly nodded. "Is it cause ya think they will make fun of ya?" She asked as he nodded again "well how are ya gonna find if ya right or not if ya sit here?" She asked him as he was about to answer before thinking.

          "I'm not" he said sighing.

           "Tell ya what, if ya go and do this, I'll cook ma special Pancakes for supper" she said gaining Sword's attention.

             "Really?" He asked as she nodded.

             "When have ah eva lied to ya?" She asked.

              "Never" he said as she nodded.

               "Correct, now eat up and I'll make ya some lunch, Sword would you be a dear and change Mac" she asked as Sword's smile faded and he grumbled before leaving the room.

               Granny chuckled before going to start cooking while Pink placed a plate of pancakes in front of Kevin, which he ate, shortly after Kevin was adopted, he became sick which his parents didn't understand why until they discovered his need for high protein food or meat, this caused them both to panic before Granny slapped them both and told them to by fish from a Pegasus fisherman, as apparently Pegasi ate Fish to help give them protein and keep their their wings glossy to help with flying. After he had finished eating, Granny gave him his lunch in a small container along with an apple before Sword returned with a big brown stain on his shiny chest plate and specks of brown on his face.

      "How?" Ask Pink when she saw him.

       "He bucked the diaper" he groaned.

        "Well I guess I'll take Kevin to school then while you clean up for work" she said as he nodded and went upstairs before Pink left with Kevin to the school. As they approached the school, Kevin saw other kids walking the school, they were different ages to him but he managed to see some with their parents walking, but Pink stopped them just before entered the school grounds an knelt down in front of him. "Okay so make some friends, have fun, be nice and be good" she said as Kevin nodded before she smiled and led him in before taking him to his class and giving him a kiss before leaving.

       Kevin entered the class room and sat near the back, a few colts and fillys looked at him curious as a blue one with a pink mane and tail sat next to him with a smile. "Hello?" He asked

      "Hey, my name is Cup Cake, what's yours?" She asked happily.

       "Um Kevin" he said timidly.

        "Nice to meet you, wanna be friends?" She asked as she offered her hand which he shook. "Come meet the others" she said as he nodded and went with her and sat with a group of children. "Okay this is Berry Punch" she said pointing to a dark pink filly who smiled and waved, "this is Carrot Cake, no we aren't related because he is a dweeb" she said pointing to a yellow colt with an orange mane.

      "Hey" he said.

       "Next is Filthy Rich" he said pointing to a tan colt who waved shyly, his mane was scruffy and dark brown. "Next is Caramel, he is really nice but he is four" she said about the yellow colt with a brown mane.

       "What's that got to do with anything?" He asked.

        "Next is Cheerilee" she said pointing to a dark purple filly with a mane with two tones of pink. "And that's everypony" she said as Carrot and Caramel pouted.

        "Hi, um I'm Kevin" he said as they greeted him as the rest of the class arrive and most stared at Kevin, who shrunk under their gaze as a tall Bright yellow Mare entered with a green sundress, he mane was tied in a bun as she smiled at the class.

       "Welcome to your first day of School little ones, my name is Sunshine and I will be your Teacher" she said as all the class greeted her as 'ms Sunshine' "now today will be a sort of meet everypony day, there will be games and things like that, okay shall we go outside?" She asked as the class got up from their seats and made their way outside before Sunshine noticed Kevin sitting at his desk with Filthy trying to get him to come along.

      "Come on Kevin" he said.

      "Is everything alright?" Asked the teacher as she walked over and knelt in front of the young boy and colt.

      "Kevin is really shy ms" Filthy said as she nodded and smiled.

       "I see well I can help you get passed that shyness if you want?" She asked as he nodded. "Good here come with me" she said offering her hand as he took it and he was led outside to see his new friends smiling at them, "now we shall being with a game of tag" she said smiling before walking over and tapped a lime colt on the head gently. "Your it" she said as the foals scattered as the lime colt took chase. The game went well until a white filly was tagged but she was slower then others causing her to get upset until Kevin ran up to her and offered his hand which she looked at him confused before looking at his hand.

      "Come on, my arm is getting tired" he teased as she tagged him and he smiled before running and tagging Mayor, who was less then happy as she went for Carrot.

      As it reached lunchtime, Kevin was sitting with his friends and eating their lunch under a tree while chatting about random things, it was nice until Kevin noticed a red colt cornering the White Filly from earlier, she looked like she was about to cry as Kevin walked over and hit the colt with a branch in top of his head, just as Sunshine came out to see the Crying colt and Kevin with the branch in hand. She took him inside and had him sit in a room by himself as she lectured him about bullying others and how it was wrong. Kevin nodded and went to class when the bell rang, he sat in the back alone until his friends arrived and sat with him, along with the white Filly, who was named Snow Drop.

       At the end of the day, Pink arrived and was talked to by Sunshine before she left with Kevin, Pink didn't say anything as they walked until they got home which was when he was grounded for a week and was sent to bed without supper. The year went on like this as Kevin looked after Snow and his friends from bullies and didn't argue when he got detentions, his parents soon found out why he was attacking Colts when Snow's father arrived on day and asked to thank Kevin for protecting his Daughter. Also through the year, Kevin noticed Pink getting fatter but he knew better then to say anything about it as that was rude, she kept growing and eating weird things until suddenly after school he was picked up by Granny, he was then taken to the hospital, when they arrived, Kevin met his new Little sister named Apple Jack.

(Fast forward 3 years)

       Kevin was sitting in a large manor with his friends, the manor belonged to Filthy's Dad, who had recently started allowing his Eight year old son to have friends over, the passed three years had been big, Mac had started school, Apple Jack had said her first word, which to much of her parents delight and Swords annoyance, was Kevin's name, Kevin had also started helping Pink on the farm with picking, she was hesitant until she was comfortable with him climbing.

      Kevin was sitting on Filthy's bed as he watched Carrot and Cup bicker about something that was stupid, like an old married couple Kevin thought before smiling at the quote Richard use to say, this caused him to sigh before he was hit in the face by a teddy bear, making him blink for a moment before looking at Mayor who had a smirk on her face. "Really?" He asked as she threw another, which hit him in the chest softly, "your so mean" he teased as she giggled and shrugged, Caramel was playing with a puzzle with Cherrilee, Snow and Berry while Filthy was whistling while drawing. "So what do you wanna be when you grow up Mayor?" Kevin asked.

      "I want to be a Mayor.... Or a life guard" she said.

       "So Mayor Mayor Mare?" He asked with a smirk as she stuck her tongue out at him.

         "No you ignore the first part" she said.

          "So Mayor Mare?" Asked Filthy as Mayor groaned.

          "What about you Filthy?" Asked Kevin.

           "Real estate agent or banker" he said as Kevin nodded in agreement.

            "Okay what about you Cherrilee?" He asked.

             "Disco Dancer" she said striking a pose causing the group to start laughing until a knock was heard at the door.

               "Master Filthy, may you send Kevin out here?" Asked the Maid as Filthy looked at Kevin who nodded and exited, the maid led him to the front door an found his mother standing there with Apple Jack in her arms.

          "Hey mom, is everything okay?" He asked as she shook her head. "What's wrong?" He asked.

           "Your dad has been hurt and is in Hospital at the moment" she said as Levi looked at her shocked.

            "What happened?" Kevin asked.

            "He was on a training session with some new Guards and they group was attacked by a group of Timberwolves" she said.

             "Is he okay?" Kevin asked as he friends gathered to watch.

              "Yes but he can never be a guard again" she said sadly.
