It was a calm spring morning, the sun was shining and the world was calm, in the middle of a local park a mother sat under the shade of a oak tree with her youngest son while watching her other two older boys run around and being idiots, her youngest was sitting and playing games on her 18 year olds iPod while he ran round with her 15 year old. The young boy was almost 5 years old and was incredibly timid. He had short curly brown hair, soft blue eyes which were locked on the screen of the device, he was wearing a red hoodie, a superman top and shorts as he sat next to his mother.

       "Having fun sweetie?" She asked as she ran her hand through his hair making him jump.

        "Yes I am mommy" he said timidly making her smile softly.

         "Okay, want an Ice Cream?" She asked gaining his attention again which caused her to giggle. "I'll take that as a yes then" she said before standing. "Richard! Can you watch Kevin while I get us some ice cream?" She called out to her 15 year old who gave her the thumbs up before she gave Kevin a kiss on his forehead and left. The older of the two ran over and knelt down in front of Kevin.

     "Hey Kev, how is your gaming coming along?" He asked.

     "It died Lui" he said with a frown as his older brother pulled out his mobile and headphones.

     "How about some music, just don't go into the photos as their are adult things in there" he said as Kevin nodded, so Lui put the headphones on his little brother's head after adjusting it and played music from playlist he made for Kevin. "Okay have fun Kev, shout if you need me" he said as Kevin nodded before Lui ran back to Richard.

       Kevin was sitting against the tree looking around bored until he saw a weird tail flicker before disappearing into a bush, he didn't think much of it until it happened again in a weird manner, which caused him to get up and walk over to the bushes. He looked inside and found a weird path and being the curious little 5 year old, he felt the need to explore. After a few minutes of walking down the path, he suddenly realised he didn't tell his brothers but when he turned to leave, he was faced with a wall of trees, causing him to get frightened and try to keep going forward only to find he was completely surrounded which caused him to tear up.

      "Oh little one, don't cry" a female voice said catching his attention.

      "Wh-who's there?" He asked with a sniff.

       "I am a friend, I know what it's like to be lost without being able to find my parent" the voice said.

        "But I don't want to be lost anymore.... Can you help me get home?" He asked.

        "I can't help you get home but I can take you to a new home." She said.

        "I don't want to go to a new home, I want to go to my old home" he said sniffling.

        "I'm afraid you can't, you see I discovered that this world was coming to an end, so I decided to take a child somewhere safe, and that's where you are right now. Kevin" she said.

        "I don't understand" he said.

         "I know but look at it this way, you are safe and that's what your mommy wants, right?" Asked the voice.

          "Y-yea I guess" Kevin said as he backed up against a tree.

           "And I am going to take you somewhere safe" she stated.

           "But who are you?" He asked as a weird mismatched creature walked out of the tree line.

           "Why I am Eris, Daughter of Discord" she said as she approached him. "And I mean you no harm" she said crossing her heart literally as Kevin watched In slight awe.

            "But where am I going?" He asked shaking as she stood in front if him.

             "A place called Equestria" she said before clicking her fingers and they both vanished in a poof of pink smoke.

(Sweet Apple Aches)

           Granny Smith was sitting in her rocking chair, it was a slightly cloudy day as she had her two year old grand colt on her lap as she told him stories, the foal was giggling and babbling adorably on the green mare's lap as he clapped his hands, Granny smiled as she looked at the farm to see her son in law, walking down the entrance in his armour, he had his swords strapped to his back and his Stetson on along with his red and green mane tied up in a pony tail. "Hey Granny, how's little Mac?" He asked as he stepped on to the porch, which creaked slightly under the peach stallion's boot.

        "Oh he is being ah little dear, Sword" she said as she tickled the red foal's belly.

        "That's good, hey is Pink around?" He asked as she nodded.

          "Yes she is checking on the trees at row 12" she said as Sword tipped his hat and went to find his wife, he soon found the pink mare looking at one of the many apple trees, he took a moment to check out the mare, her short yellow mane and tail were littered with leaves and twigs, her jeans were split and hugged her curvy figure and her Blue Flannel was tied just under her bust to show her soft pink furry midsection.

      He couldn't help but give a whistle causing her to turn and smiled at him. "Hello Sword, how was work?" She asked in a thick country accent as he approached and put his arms gently around her.

      "Oh you know, complete Buckery, but it came with a promotion" he said as she gasped.

      "Ya mean?" She asked.

       "Yep, Captain Sword Dance of Ponyville Guard" he said proudly as she squealed and hugged him tightly.

        "Ah'm so proud of ya sugarcube" she said smiling.

         "Yea I going to go meet the Princess tomorrow" he said.

          "Oh ma Celestia! Ah have ta make somethin' for ya ta give ta her" she said.

           "No baby it's fine" he said but it fell on deaf ears as she ran off and he simple placed his face in his palm and groaned. "Any excuse to bake with that one" he chuckled before a sound causing his ear to twitch an rotate, I was the sound of crying.... A foal's crying. "What the buck?" He muttered as he turned to go to the sound, he wandered until he found a small hairless deformed colt crying his eyes out. 'What monster would abandon their child, even if they are deformed' he growled before slowly and quietly approaching, well as best he could in full plated armour. The colt turned to him and screamed out in fear before backing up against a tree.

       "What are you? Please don't hurt me" he cried as Sword raised an eyebrow at the statement.

        "I'm not gonna hurt you young one, I'm a Guard, I protect ponies" he said slowly approaching.

         "Bu-but I'm not a pony" he cried.

         "Of course you are, no matter what anypony says, you are a pony" he said as he approached.

         "But I'm not a pony, I'm a human" the foal said causing Sword to stop.

          'Why didn't I realise that he could be a different race?' He thought before slapping himself which cause the young colt to giggle which gave him an idea which worked when Mac was sad. "What you like when I hurt myself? Well that's just.... woah" he said before tripping on purpose making the colt giggle more. Sword smiled before he stood up and rubbed his muzzle. "Feeling better?" He asked as the child nodded. "Good, want some Apple pie?" He asked as the boy was about to speak but his stomach growled. "I'll take that as a yes" he said gesturing the child to follow him, which he did hesitantly.

       "My name is Kevin..... Sir" the boy said.

       "That's an interesting name Kevin, mine is Sword Dance" he said which Kevin giggled to. "What?" He asked.

         "Your name is weird" he said as Sword grinned.

          "So is yours" he chuckled as they soon arrived at the porch, Granny Smith gave a curious look upon Kevin, who was hiding behind Sword's leg. "Granny, this is Kevin, he is a human foal who has lost his parents.... I hope" he said as Granny nodded.

          "Ah see, well are ya hungry Kevin?" Asked the aged mare as Kevin nodded briefly, making the Old Mare smile and walk over to him. "Come on, let's got get something to eat" she said offering her hand which he took before she led him into the farmhouse, just as Pink walked out looking at him.

         "Now who is the little Cutie?" She asked.

        "His name is Kevin and he is a human.... What ever that is" he said as he sat on the porch with a sigh as his wife sat next to him.

         "Ah human? Odd species name, anyway any idea where his parents are?" She asked.

         "No I don't, I hope they aren't dead or they haven't simply abandoned him" he said looking down.

         "Hey look on the bright side, if he has no family then we can adopt him" he said.

          "Your joking?" He asked her as she shook her head.

           "Nope, look Sword, we have been trying for the last year ta have another foal but it's not working.... And he may not has any family so it would be a win win" she said as Sword raised an eyebrow. "Plus he is already passed crying all night and diaper stage" she added.

           "Okay I'm sold" he said as they both chuckled. "I'll have to take him tomorrow to see the princess and if she is okay then we will" he said as she smile and kissed his cheek. "But no promises" he said as she nodded before he got up and headed inside with her, they found Kevin asleep on the couch, his head on Granny's lap as she gently stroked his cheek. "Everything alright?" Sword asked as she nodded.

       "Yes, ah gave him something to eat and he just fell asleep straight away" she said as Pink smiled with Sword before Sword headed to his room to change. As he was getting undress, he heard the door open and then close and lock.

       When he looked, he saw Pink with a smile on her face. "Let's try one last time?" She asked as Sword nodded which made her smile and lead him to their bed.

(Next morning, Train)

       Sword was sitting in a booth with Kevin asleep, leaning against him with his headphones on, Sword was in his armour with a large white box on his lap, which was sore from the night before. Kevin had received many looks, most were out if curiosity and very few of disgust, but those looks soon turned to fear when the taller the average Stallion in armour threatened them. They had gotten the earlier train before the sun had risen as his meeting with the Princess was to be before she began her day court, this helped as Sword and Kevin could make it to the castle without hassle.

        "2 minutes to Canterlot" the ticket master shouted, causing Kevin to awake with a start and look around before up at the Stallion.

        "Not long now Kevin" he said as the human child nodded and stretched,

         "Okay, my brother's phone died anyway" he sighed as he raised an eyebrow.

         "Phone?" He asked as Kevin pulled out the IPhone and showed him. "Hmmm interesting, how does it work?" He asked.

         "Um it is used to make calls..... Talking to people far away easily" he said as Sword looked shocked.

          "Wow, that would be incredibly useful" he said as he scratched his chin.

          "It also holds games and music and photos" he added as Sword looked stunned.

           "Really? That's just.... Wow" he said as Kevin giggled. Sword noticed them entering the station so he put his Stenson on and grabbed the white box before standing as the two exited the train and made their way to the castle. The streets were near empty, save for a few unicorns who proceeded to glare at Kevin and call him names as they passed causing the young boy to get teary eyes. This made the journey longer as they had to stop so Sword could comfort the child.

Upon arriving at the Castle, the guards let the two In after Sword showed the letter he received from the Princess, they were skeptical about Kevin, but they let him in after Sword did some negotiating. As they entered the main door, they were led by a Butler to a dining hall and told to wait outside, there was two Pegasus guardmares who were very curious about Kevin, who was hiding behind Sword. "What's your name?" Asked one of the guards.

      "Ke....Kevin" he said quietly as the mare smiled.

        "Hello, I'm Iron feather" she said smiling softly as Sword looked at the other Mare.

        "She really likes children" she said shaking her head as the door opened .

         "You may enter now Captain" a regal voice said as he took a deep breath and entered with Kevin. The two enters to find the princess of the sun sipping on a cup of tea as she looked at the two curiously. "Now who is this little one Captain?" She asked as Sword looked at Kevin, who was still hiding behind him.

        "This is Kevin my Lady, I found him crying all alone in the orchid" he said as he gestured for Kevin to say hello but he just hid.

         "Well he is quite timid, hello Kevin, my Name is Celestia, " she said kindly as he looked at the White Alicorn with a flowing multicoloured mane.

        "Hi" he said quietly which made her smile as she rose from her seat, when he did however he squeaked at her height.

        "Oh I'm sorry I frightened you" she said walking over and sitting down on her knees in front of him. "I can assure you it wasn't my intention" she said with a kind smile as he nodded. "If I may, would you let me have a look at your memories so I can see if you mean my ponies harm?" She asked.

       "How can you?" He asked timidly as she smiled.

         "With magic of course" she stated.

          "But my brother Richard said that Magic isn't real" he said.

          "Oh isn't it? Then how can I do this?" She asked as her horn lit up in a golden aura before he was surrounded In the same aura and brought to be in front of her, he was more awestruck then frightened.

          "Wow" he said as she put him down gently.

           "Yes it is, so may I have a look?" She asked.

             "Will it hurt?" He asked as she shook her head. "Okay" he said as she placed her horn against his head and it lit up, he felt a little dizzy when she did so but felt better when she pulled away, except she had a very sad expression on her face.

          "Are you okay my lady?" Asked Sword as she nodded.

           "Yes, just.... I'm sorry about you loosing your daddy and mommy Kevin" she said as Kevin looked down. "And I am sorry that Evil Eris took you away from your family and your world" she said.

           "Wait so he is from another world?" Asked Sword as Celestia nodded. "That explains that device he has" he said as the statement sparked Celestia's curiosity.

           "Oh right Lui's phone?" He asked as Kevin pulled it out of his pocket. "May I?" She asked.

         "Be careful" he said.

          "I will little one, I have the same understanding of how to use this as you do" she said before stopping "that's probably not a good thing" she said before tapping her horn gently against the device and it turned on. "There we go power, now let's have a look" she said looking through it before suddenly her wings extended fully and her face was a shade of red. "Oh my, definitely for adults only" she said returning the device to the human. "So as I have the blueprint for the Phone now, we can incorporate it into a pony version, but the main question is, what to do with you Kevin?" She asked.

      "Um my wife and I wouldn't mind adopting him" Sword said as she looked at him with a smile.

      "Yes that works, now I'll have him marked down as an Equestria citizen and have him enrolled in a school near you" he said as Sword nodded before remembering the box.

       "Oh my wife Pink Lady made this for you" he said offering her the box which she opened and smiled.

        "Apple Fritas and Pies" she said smiling. "Tell your wife thank you for me" she said as Sword nodded and left with Kevin.
