Bandits on the Train

"I can't believe we got our ass handed to us by that prick. I mean really three months of training and we get wrecked by a insane person that belongs in an asylum." Amy said as she took the top off the health potion and began to drink it.

“You have any idea who that guy was Amy?” Applejack asked as she looked over herself for a moment.

“Don’t know who he is and frankly I don’t care at the moment. Right now we have more important things to do at the moment.” The Blazing Heart said as she finished drinking the health potion and tossed it off the train. “We need to take care of the bandits that Eric set loose on the train.”

“We can get inside the train through there.” Applejack said as she walked over to the hatch and carefully opened it slightly to see who was inside. From what she could tell, there were at least three ponies in the room below them. “There’s three of them in the room below us. Any idea on how we can deal with them without-.” Looking up at the human, Applejack had a surprised expression on her face.

“What?”

“Um…can humans grow a pair of ears and tail?”

“Not that I know of...wait what happen to me?”

“Um...nothing. Nothing happen to you.” The mare said as she looked off to the side trying not to look at Amy.

“....You know for the element of honesty, you think you would be good at lying as well.” Amy said as she reach into her bag and pulled out a mirror. Upon looking at herself, her eyes widen after seeing a pair of ears on her head, that and the new tail.

“What the hell!?”

“Is this something that humans go through or something?”

“We do not go through changes like this! Especially when we don’t grow a pair of ears and a tail.” Amy said as she looked into her bag to see what she had drank. “What the hell was that I just drank.”

“We’ll worry about it later. Right now we have more important things to do.”

“Right...the bandits.” Amy said as her hand began to burn. “Any innocent ponies in there?”

“No, but they might be in the other rooms. I just hope Apple Bloom and the others are safe.”

“Knowing Sweetie Belle is with them, I’m pretty sure they’ll be safe...though the train on the other hand...we best hurry before shit hits the fan.” Applejack nodded as Amy’s finger glowed. Lifting the hatch up, she quickly tossed a small ball of fire into the room while the bandits weren’t looking. As the bandit’s turn around to see the fireball in the middle of the room, the ball of fire burst into a flare of light as it blinded them.

“MY EYES!!” One of them shouted, along with a few others. But the weirdest response came from the back of the cabin shortly before the rat sized thief died and turned to cinders. Amy quickly opened the hatch as she jumps down into the room landing on top of one of the bandits in the room. Applejack follow in suit as she lands on the other griffon next to Amy.

“That was a lot easier than I though.” The Blazing Heart said, a little bit surprised as well as disappointed that none of the bandits in the next train car put up a challenge. That was… until her words attracted unwanted attention.

“They’re in the next car!! GET THEM!!!”

“Oh now they know we’re here? Where were they when we were in the room behind us beating the crap out of their friends?”

“Probably talkin’ to the idiot that’s running this operation or something really stupid.” Applejack replied, preparing herself and using a nearby broken pipe to wedge the door in place. “Let’s keep moving and beat the other creeps in the main cars first. Ah have a hunch that there are a couple in the engine room standing guard over the workers operating the train.”

“Let us out of here you little brat!” Yelled one of the bandits as they were trying to escape their bubbled prison that Sweetie Belle made.

“Why on earth would she do that after hurting our teacher you big meanie!?” Scootaloo yelled as she kicked the bubble, causing it to bounce around in the room they were in along with the others. “They won’t be able to break out of this will they?”

“I don’t think so.” Sweetie Belle said as she looked over the spell book. “It doesn’t really say how long they would be stuck in there.”

“Well I do hope it will last long.” Apple Bloom said as she looked over at the bandits who were pissed off and glaring at them mainly Sweetie Belle. “Because I’m pretty sure they’ll come after us seeing how we pretty much trapped them in these bubble.”

“What do you mean us? Sweetie Belle was the one that trapped them in there.”

“Yeah but we gave her the idea Scootaloo.”

“Oh…right...we did give her the idea.” Scootaloo said as she notice the death glare that the other bandits are now giving them. “We better get them out of here and into the other room.”

“Now how are we gonna do that? It’s not like the bubbles would be able to go through the front door with the griffons in them...can it?”

“Again I don’t know. This book doesn’t really have much of a detail when it comes to how long a spell last.” Sweetie Belle answered as she placed the book back to her waist belt. “But for now we gotta do something about this.”

“You mean the bandits on the train?” Apple Bloom asked. “What can we do? We don’t have any magic or powers like you and Amy do.”

“Yeah not to mention that you said that you were still new to the whole magic thing that you got going on.” Scootaloo added as she felt a familiar presence behind them. Turning around she saw Ms. Cheerilee standing behind them with a disapproving look on her face. “And the fact that Ms. Cheerilee won’t let us do anything about it now.”

“As much as I appreciate the fact that you saved us from being attacked, I can not allow you three to put yourselves in harms way in this matter.” Cheerilee said as she shook her head. “You are not allowed to deal with this problem.”

“But Ms. Cheerilee-.”

“No buts girls. We will wait until the royal guard, Celestia, or somepony with authority to come and save us.”

“What about Amy or Applejack?” Twist asked.

“I...guess they would count...but I don’t think they’ll be on the train at this time.” Just as she said that, the door to the cart they were in burst open as Amy and Applejack rushed in and closed the door back.

“Geez, I didn’t think there would be that many bandits on the train.” Amy said as she scratches the back of her head. “Honestly I wasn’t expecting there to be this many of them.”

“Well when you send one of them flying into the room ahead of us, you kinda have to expect them to come after us all at once.” Applejack replied as she notice Apple Bloom and the other. “Apple Bloom! Thank Celestia you’re okay.” She said running up to the small filly and hugged her tightly.

“Glad you’re here sis….um….could you let me go? I can’t...breath.” Apple Bloom said as she felt her sister loosen her hold on her.

“Oh, sorry sugar cube.”

“Not that I want to break up this short family reunion, but we might want to find some cover real quick.” Amy said as she unhinged one of the tables and pressed it against the door. “Mind holding this still for a few AJ?” She asked, the older farm pony nodded and held the door in place. While AJ held the door in place, Amy’s finger lit up as she fired a small concentrated beam of fire at the edges of the table and started to weld the door shut with said metal table.

“Think that would hold?” Applejack asked.

“It should hold for a couple of hours or so. Right now we need to figure out a way to deal with the bandits on the other side.” The Blazing Heart said as she placed a hand to her chin. While the red haired human thinks of an idea, one of the bandits that Sweetie Belle imprisoned bounced off her head causing her to look up to see the rest of them. “What the hell?”

“What in the name of Equestria are these griffons and ponies doing trapped in bubbles and floating around?” Applejack asked.

“Sweetie Belle trapped them inside with some kind of bubble spell when they tried to enter here.” Apple Bloom answered. “If she didn’t do that, then I think we might’ve been in even more trouble than how we are now.”

“Wait, you can do that Sweetie Belle?” Amy asked as the unicorn filly nodded. “.....I have an idea, but I’ll need Sweetie Belle’s assistance to do this.”

“You need my help?” Sweetie Belle asked as she points a finger to herself. “What can I do?”

“You’re going to bring a little filly to fight a group of older colts!?” Cheerilee yelled as the Blazing Heart deadpans at the school teacher.

“Bitch, I don’t think now is the time to be protective of your student given the situation we’re in. Right now this pony here is going to help save your sorry ass from certain death. So unless you have some kind of magical item or magic that could capture these bandits, then I suggest you stay there and let me do my job.”

“.....Whoa.” Scootaloo said as she notice Ms. Cheerilee’s mouth opened up in shock to what Amy said.

“That was a bit uncalled for Sugarcube.” Applejack said with a deadpan expression on her face.

“Sorry...just a bit under pressure with how everything is going today. Right now I just want this day to be over with so I can get back to relaxing back on the farm.” Amy said as she looks over at Sweetie Belle. “It’s up to you whether or not you want to help me out kid. I’m not going to pressure you into this.”

“Um….I don’t mind helping you Amy.” Sweetie Belle said as the Blazing Heart smiled.

“Really? No fooling?”

“If it means helping my classmates get out of this safe and unharmed, then I don’t mind helping you out.”

“Perfect.” Amy said as she motion Applejack and Sweetie Belle to huddle over to her. “Alright, here’s the plan.”
