Everything Dies
Chapter 99: Book 5: The Hunt - Chapter 10
Previous Chapter Next ChapterPinkie and Sonata laid in each others arms. While space and temperature made full on intercourse impossible, they still found a way to satisfy each other physically (only being interrupted once by hearing Twilight shout "WHAT!"), and now they held each other in post coital bliss. Never in all of history had two people been more suited for each other. Finding out that they were both physical manifestations of the same immortal, quasi-god force was only icing on the cake. The last little bit that showed that they were meant to be.
"I love you," Sonata said, stroking Pinkie's hair from in front of her face.
"I love you too," Pinkie happily replied and kissed Sonata on the nose. "One thing, were you ever attracted to Adagio or Aria?" It wasn't a mean or prying question, just a truly curious one.
"Honestly Pinkie, until you, I wasn't attracted to anybody. What about you? Were you ever attracted to them?"
"Hmm, I guess two. Dashie to a point. Nothing major. Barely a crush. Sunset was the first girl I was ever really attracted to. Hmm. It took me being with you to make me realize I actually did have a crush on her. If I would have known then what I know now, I probably would have asked her out."
"You wish you would have?" Once again, there was no jealousy in Sonata's voice, just honest curiosity.
"No. The universe was saving me for you and I'm glad. You're the only one who I've ever been with and the only person I ever want to be with."
"Aww, thank you Pinata," Sonata sighed sweetly.
"You're welcome Sonapie," Pinkie said happily and the two kissed again.
"I feel the same. I'm also glad Maud told your dad not come. I was ok with sleeping on the floor, but it's much better sleeping beside you."
"Same. It was interesting to hear Maud actually yell too."
"Yeah. Although some of the things she told him to do to himself are physically impossible." There was no intentional humor in what Sonata was saying. She wasn't being ironic. She was a 100% sincere in her words.
"I doubt if he'd even try any of them anyways," Pinkie said with the same sincerity.
Sonata took Pinkie's hand and kissed it. "Pinkie; you know how we can read each others minds right?"
"Sure."
"Well, we've been physically intimate but now I want to be fully intimate. I want us to do a complete mind meld. I want to open myself to you on every level. We just wouldn't know what we were thinking, we'd actually become one person while we were doing it. There'd be no secrets left between us."
This was the ultimate form of intimacy. It was one thing to allow someone in your body; another to let them in your mind, your soul, to completely merge with another person until both essentially died and a new life, a new person was born. It was a step few could make, even fewer would take. Sonata waited in frightened anticipation of what Pinkie would say.
Pinkie shrugged and said, "Okie dookie wokie."
They placed their hands on each other's temples and closed their eyes. At first the heard each other's thoughts as though they were actually talking. Then they just experienced the sensation of the others thoughts and emotions. Soon there was no Pinkie or Sonata as each was absorbed into the other. Images, memories of the past came flooding up. Instantaneously all was known. Every thought, every deed, every experience, both conscious and unconscious. Memory and experience merged together in on seamless, eternal now with one entity, one mind, one consciousness.
Slowly the two minds separated. The one becoming aware of two. The two not knowing which was which. Memories popping up and dying away, neither sure who's memories they actually belonged to. Then personalities came back, distinct individuals with separate histories. Finally they were fully in their bodies, their essences fully restored and intact. They opened their eyes and looked in to each others.
"I, I, I never knew it could be like that. Thank you Sonapie," Pinkie said breathless; both enraptured by the experience and deeply saddened because she now felt suddenly alone and isolated in her own mind.
Sonata pulled Pinkie as close as possible and curled up in a ball beside her so her head was on Pinkie's chest. "I'd kill the whole world before I'd ever let you go," she sobbed.
"You'll never have to," Pinkie said sweetly as she stroked Sonata's head.
Next Chapter: Book 5: The Hunt - Chapter 11 Estimated time remaining: 1 Hour, 29 MinutesAuthor's Notes:
Another shortie, but it's my second one of the night, so I still about 1500 words in total. So, this is going to be longer than I originally thought. I still have Rarity and Fluttershy to do as well as Sparkle and Shimmer. Then there's the final battle which will be about 2-3 chapters and finally an epiloge. So I'm still 6 chapters away from finishing. Hopefully you stick around for the rest of it.
