After a pleasant day together, Ditzy and Shard had went their separate ways to prepare for the next day.

After eating his breakfast with his family, minus his father who was out at his new job, and prying his mother off him as she refused to stop hugging him for finding his "future bride," Shard sat in his room working on something that would make his life a little easier. After playing a certain video game franchise for so long he had always wanted to have a certain robot from said franchise by his side, helping him in any way it could. So a few years back he took up secret classes of robotics and engineering just to be able to construct the robot. When he went out for these lessons he would say to his family he was going to practice swordsmanship in the woods or some other excuse.

He sat tinkering with the body of the robot, which he had made chargeable from sunlight or if that wasn't an option basic electricity, which he had temporarily named "Atlas." This was just until he could come up with a better name.

"Alright, just need to connect a few more circuits...tweak the optic sensors and...done!" Closing a small hatch on the robots body he pressed a button and it started twitching, slowly rising from the floor. "Yes...yes it works!" As he looked to the robot he smiled. "Oh the girls are gonna get a kick out of this. Now... What to name you?"

Ditzy, Bonbon, Lyra, Carrot and Turner all sat on the school steps waiting for Shard, classes didn't start for another half an hour so they decided to wait out front for him. They all noticed that the group of friends with Sunset were hanging around the statue as always. A few minutes later they all walked into the school leaving Ditzy and her friends alone in the schools outdoor area.

As they were about to walk inside to get ready for class they spotted Shard walking up from the sidewalk with something behind them that made most of them look confused, but left Turner and Ditzy with open mouths. "No way." They both said on unision. The group got up and ran to their orange haired friend and his new robot companion.

"Hey girls, Turner." Shard smiled at them.

"Good morning everyone." The robot said in a British butler accent, except it wasn't monotone, it was happy and filled with energy.

Ditzy and the group just looked to the two in shock. Tuner shook himself and cleared his throat. "Good morning Shard. Um...would you mind telling us why there is a perfectly built Mr Handy from Fallout four behind you?"

Shard looked back to his robot and smiled with pride. "Oh, him? He's just something I've been working on for a few years now, finally finished him this morning. I've called him Atlas for now, trying to come up with a better name though."

The rest of the group had recovered from their shock and looked to each other, unsure of what to say. "I'm detecting that you are all a tad confused, perhaps introductions will help smooth things out?" The robot suggested.

The group nodded. "My name is Ditzy Doo, nice to meet you." The robot held out its pincher and shook Ditzy's hand.

"Fantastic to meet you Miss Doo, I couldn't help but notice your eyes, truly stunning if I might say." Ditzy smiled at the compliment. Next Turner stepped forward.

"I am Time Turner, pleasure to meet you."

"The pleasure is all mine Mister Turner." The three others greeted him in similar manners, although he gave each girl a compliment, something that Sahrd had programmed into him, other than that he pretty much had free will, the only restriction being that he must not harm a human or other living being unless ordered to do so, you never knew what kind of situation could come up in life so Shard made sure that his robot would know what to do in a life or death situation or if someone was in danger of being harmed by another. "Well it is lovely to meet you all, it's wonderful to know that Master Shard has such good friends with him."

"Hey, I was wondering if you guys could help me find a good name for him. I was thinking about just naming him Codsworth but I wanted to do something original." Shard looked to his friends.

The group all started thinking, things like "Walter" or "Sebastian" came to mind, but Shard thought that the first was overused and the second would only suit one butler that any anime fangirl would love.

"How about Rayliegh?" Ditzy suggested.

Shard thought about it. "That sound alright with you?" He asked turning to the robot.

"I find it to be a magnificent name, a great choice Miss Doo." Rayliegh replied happily.

"Alright then, Rayliegh it is, we can just call you Ray for short if we need to."

"I see no problem with that Master Shard. I do believe it is time for your classes to start, I suggest we get going to avoid any trouble with the teaching staff." The group nodded and walked into the school. Before going in Shard pressed a button on Raylieghs body and he converted into a silver sphere the size of a football and placed him in a back and orange sports bag.

"This is gonna be fun."

During lunch the group hung out at the back of the school with Rayliegh out of his sphere and recharging with his built in solar panels. Shard had talked with Principal Celestia about his new companion and they had come to an agreement, the robot was to remain in his bag until either a practical class like science or a break like lunch. He was even allowed to help around the school cafeteria in the background cooking up some things and trading recipes with Granny Smith who benefitted from his help greatly, giving her more time to focus on some things while Rayliegh did the rest with enthusiasm.

"I must say Master Shard this school seems like an exciting place and the students are simply delightful. Although I can't help but notice a few errors."

"What would those be Ray?"

"Well for example the school seems a little understaffed, a few lights in the hallways either don't function or flicker and the students seem to be able to do as they please. Perhaps it would be a good idea to take these matters up with the Principal the next time you see her?"

Shard nodded. "That's actually a good idea, thank you Rayliegh."

"My pleasure sir." The group all talked for awhile before the bell signalling them to return to classes rang out. Placing Rayliegh in his bag the group walked back around to the front doors.

Ok I'm gonna be honest with you, I know absolutely zip about Fallout other than the basic lore and a few creatures. But I started watching a few let's plays of Fallout 4 which I have been considering to buy and I absolutely loved the concept of Codsworth and his personality. I don't have the knowledge of Fallout and its mechanics to write a full fic on a Mr Handy so I thought this would be a nice substitute...

... Also I like putting random crap in my stories to see people's reactions.
