Chapter 55: A truth

Celestia could only stare at the Siren. Her jaw clenched and grip tightened around the wide waist of her offspring. The Sun goddess was alot of things. A ruler, a sister, a god. But she was first and for most always a Mother. Everything since the moment she felt her Foal shift in her belly, she did for Sunset. And the years of pain she forced upon her own child, tore at the very soul of the immortal Princess. It was hard to accept her young had gone and found love, formed a family, a home...all without her. Feeling the muscles of her amazon sized Daughter shift, Celestia released her grip and stepped back.

"It's ok Mother, we do need to talk."

Hearing the husky words, the Princess of Light only gave a gentle nod before giving long legged strides towards the chin lifted Siren turned human.

Adagio made no move to step aside for her Mother in law, instead she made the most of her small figure and blocked the steps. When Celestia stood before her, she merely shifted one shoulder back to allow her to pass. With a glare the tanned giantess bent her head and reached for the door knob. A yellowed hand snapped over her thick wrist like a vice. A mane hidden gaze locked with stalwary rubies and the two had a battle of wills before Celestia whispered.

"She..."

"SHE...is my Wife, my Mate, and Mother to the single most perfect, beautiful and blessed girl this ugly rock of a world will EVER see...I would do nothing to harm her. You can trust that, if anything I ever say to you, trust those words."

The vow struck her heart like a barbwire covered baseball bat. Swallowing her pride and blinking a tear of pride away, Celestia nodded to Adagio and lumbered her massive frame back into the house. With the door closing behind her, Adagio clicked the lock into place and found herself starring down at her hand that rested over the handle.

"She loves you, no matter the past or what may have happened, you know that right?"

Sunset had watched the scene. How could she avoid a speech of her wife's? Adagio was the voice of the family, the soul. If Sunset was the body and heart, then her mate was everything that was beautiful and elegant. If the massive tomboy was the wild and brawn, she was the cruel and the calculating. A smirk played her beer stained lips as the Phoenix winged Alicorn turned human turned and crossed her thick arms over heavy chest and leaned upon the open garage door frame again.

"I have always known that....bitch could have at least looked at my report cards."

Adagio couldn't help but chuckle at her mates way with words. Stepping fully into her lovers "Den", the dank Garage the gear loving womens second home, Adagio glanced about before fishing into an open cooler.

"Fridge out again?"

"Ya..."

"You could always ask Pinkie too..."

"I...will fix it!!"

Rolling her blood toned eyes, the wide hipped immortal rose to her meager height and hurled a ice slicked can of her mates favorate ale across the room. Sunset caught it as easy as blinking her eye and promptly nodded her approval to her lover and popped the top.

"Your always so damn proud."

"Give me a reason not to be mlove."

Adagio rose back and wiped her hand dry on her morning ware. While Sunset had dressed in her men style jeans and ill fitting tank top, Adagio still wore her robe and beneath evening slip. The silken garment hugging her perhaps more then she like, the past few weeks of an ill diet showing far more then it should. If the added puff to her figure slowed her at all, the Alpha female didn't show it. Crossing the room she took her lovers free hand, it's twin to busy gripping a slowly chugged can of alcohol.

"Come here..."

Tugging in a coy fashion, Adagio gestured with her narrow chin at "the" table. Sunset belched and crushed the can before nodding and allowing her much larger self to be pulled along.

"Really? Your mating call this early love?"

Smirking the slightly buzzed female flicked back her mane of fiery locks and leaned down to nip at her lovers golden ear.

"You love it and you know it..."

"Hehe, sit down before you fall down. I want to tell you something."

As if recalling what had transpired upstairs, Sunset made a face before plopping her seat filling rear down on a stool seated before the simple cinder block and plywood crafted table. With a bit of haze to her eyes, she glanced up at the childish drawing made by her Daughter. Reaching her long fingers she adjusted it a bit from where Celestia had touched it, her hand lingered over the crayon crafted images of her family.

"Sunny?"

Adagio took a seat across the table, the stool groaning under her womenly figure. Sunset gave no response. Perhaps it was the booze in her system but a few tears and emotions pumped into her teal gaze, she snorted and suckled in a sob before lowering her arm, her bicep trembling.

"We don't deserve her, you know that...right?"

"...Sunny..."

"No, look you wanna talk, well I am talking first. I fucked up ok! I...I don't know why or what, or shit...Aria is right, your people live by a code, a rule, a damn genetic line! Something...something in me ruined that!"

"Sunset..."

"No! Fucking let me say this Adagio...fuck ok, I am sorry! I..I..It's my damn fault, something in me is..fuck! You would have been better off with anyone else. Shit!...I should have...Damnit I would have if I knew! I..I..I wanted only to give you the entire world, this world, the Pony world..fuck any world! Adagio you are MY world! I..I.."

Rising from her seat, the Alpha Siren slowly made her way around the table. Each step lingered a few seconds, allowing her mate to ramble and bumble her words. The confusion, the fear, the anger in every ashamed sentence, only reinforced what Adagio felt in her very core.

"Sunset..."

"I AM SORRY OK! FUCK WHAT DO YOU WANT FROM ME!"

Standing before her now crying mate, Adagio managed to stand at eye level with her seated wife. She poured her gaze into that of rivers of teal stained tears, her golden fingers dancing over the bronzed flesh of her lovers cheeks, allowing each to be soaked in the sadness that gushed forth.

"I already have every-single-thing, I could ever ask of any one. Sunset."

"Bullshit! You heard Aria! I failed you! The Rule of three says..."

Her fingers turned from gentle pets, to a sudden sharp grip around her lovers strong chin. Holding her larger mate in place, Adagio dove into her face, but barely a breath apart she glared into her lovers eyes.

"THE RULE OF THREE...is real."

"Y..yo..you see...I..I.."

"And it has NEVER been more real, more true, more just in its stance..then in OUR family."

Sunset blinked, a errant burped and choked sob passing her lips.

"But..."

"What is this?"

Adagio tapped her free hand to the belt buckle that sat beneath the soft girth of her lovers round tummy. Blinking and moving a hand to rest atop her mates, the sorrow filled Alpha shook her head.

"Our family crest...you said it should be..."

"The number three, I know...but what does it MEAN?"

"The Ru..."

"NO! No Sunset Dazzle, It means US! You, me and our perfect little girl! The THREE of us!"

Blinking away her tears for a moment, Sunset sucked in a shocked breath and leaned back ever so slightly from her mate.

"But Aria..."

"Aria is correct in what she said, but NOT in how she said it..story of the bitches life! SHE may perhaps bare a trio of hatchlings. SHE may be the size of a whale and bring a splash of life to this world in the form of three Daughters that will cause even our forever young hair to grey...hehe...but SHE and her Husband, are NOT us! They are our family, our Pack but they are NOT US! Damnit Sunset. You saved me! You saved my Sisters. You dragged a starving trio of girls that where your enemies but a few months before hand, into your home. You fed us, gave us a warm place to stay, you forgave us! Shit Sunny! You put my skeleton like ass in a bath and CLEANED ME, when I barely had the energy to open my eyes. You SAVED me and my Sisters. You gave us a second chance. A new life. For months you sat up with me into the wee hours of the morning. Sharing warm drinks, and old stories of Equestria. You trusted me with your friends, and they're lives....you loved me..and I fell for you."

New tears filled her vision as the tomboy recalled all those years ago. A warm blush washed her cheeks at just how gentle Adagio was despite her persona and outwards attitude.

"You truly are a gem. I just had to knock all that coal off you."

"Hey girl, this diamond is still pretty dirty, never forget that."

"Psh...I love you Dag's...I am sorry I couldn't see what was right in...what are you doing?!?"

Having slipped down past the huge expanse of her lovers massive breasts, Adagio used her speech to mask her movement. Lean fingers had already unbuckled the belt of her lovers jeans, and feather soft kisses of yellow lips to a soft bronze tummy lead a path south.

"You are my everything Sunset. My night, my moon, my day and my sun. You and our family are my entire world...let me show you it..."

The blush on her cheeks grew scarlet as the slightly buzzed Alpha bitch sucked in a sharp breath feeling her lovers full lips touch just beneath her belly button.

"A..adagio...w..w..e.."

"Shhh...I love you Sunny.."

"Adagio..."

Her strong hands filled with the endless orange curls of her lover as her breath grew to deep pants.

"I love you too...do..don't...s..s.t.."

A evil grin that had long since been kept in reserve, poured over the licked lips of the Alpha Siren, she leaned in and breathed into the nethers of her mates loin while long fingers toyed with pantie lines.

"I won't, I never, ever will my perfect love."
