Chapter 38: A really, really weird story

The sound of laughter filled the Dazzle household, it coming from none other then a freshly released from the Hospital, Gorrz Fang. The massive male was nearly doubled over, his still bandaged right hand gripping at his gut.

"L..let..hehe, let me get this straight..."

Around him sat four females with dull expressions on they're faces, well save for Sonata Belle, the wife of Rarity Belle, who was giggling along with him.

"You four are like magical fish people, right?"

Sunset cleared her throat, the tomboyish biker turned wife and mother made a face at the bartenders choice of words.

"Well yes and no, they are Sirens, I am a Unicorn."

With soft snorts and a low weeze the huge man tried to hold in his laughter, but only managed a moment or two before bursting out into another fit.

"BWHAHAHAHAH! That is the best thing I have ever heard! Babe, did you put them up to this?"

Glancing to his left, the eye rolling form of the expecting Aria Blaze grunted her response.

"For the last time..and no, this isnt a damn joke G, we are trying to tell you how your still freaking ALIVE. You giant moron!"

Wiping his eyes from laughter spewed tears, Gorrz wrapped his arm around the wide shoulders of his lover, or as she was insisting on being called, "Mate" and nudged at her cheek with his nose.

"Don't go getting your fur up darling, I think its a cute story. Shit, having spent a week in the hospital and I hear a coma, this is perfect medicine...well this and a stiff drink!"

Aria glared holes up at her lover, but leaned into him none the less. Shifting his grip to her rounded stomach, the brute of a Siren turned human grunted up at him again.

"Don't say the "D word" you know I can't...stupid baby."

Snickering, Gorrz gave a soft pat to his mates belly and chuckled into her hair as he sniffed at it.

"Don't you mean, stupid fishy? hehe!"

Adagio rubbed at her temples, the Alpha Siren breathed a sigh of frustration through her nose before locking eyes with the man.

"Yes, you where in the hospital for a WEEK. Think about that! You where in the ER with sixteen SHATTERED bones, both of your lungs filled with fluid and a cracked spinal cord...I get you humans are not the brightest bulbs, but THINK! How are you sitting here right now and NOT six feet under!"

With a shrug, Gorrz returned to petting Aria's tummy.

"Meh, good genes. My Mama said I came from good stock, whoever Dad was, hehe."

Throwing up her arms, the mated wife of Sunset stormed from the room.

"Ugh! Now I need a damn drink. Sonata! You are NOT helping! Sunny..talk some sense into this moron."

Lightly bouncing her multi color haired Daughter upon one knee, the tomboy smirked at the retreating form of her mate. Adagio had accepted the human as a worthy mate to her Sister, but she was never one for dense headed folk, human or not. Turning back to a grumbling Aria and a swooning over her Bartender, Sunset sucked in a deep breath and with her free hand toyed with her first born's hair, working it into a pair of pigtails as she spoke.

"Basically, you should be dead, a dozen times over. What we are telling you IS the truth. Your status of being mated to not only an Immortal but a Siren none the less, the blood and...other..fluids you two have shared, has granted you many of her ability's, one of which IS immortality. And just the same, many of your traits are now part of her, this is how she is able to carry your offspring."

Aria nodded along, while digging into a bag of chips and crunching them with an open mouth. Sonata spying the salty treat, greedily reached for the bag, only to have her long fingered blue hand slapped away by a growing mother to be.

"Hands off chubby! These are MINE!"

Nursing her hand, the tallest of the trio of Sirens, whimpered and sucked on her fingers.

"mff, soff meanssf"

Giving a cocky smirk, Aria returned to her noisy eating. As the stunned and wide eyed frame of her mate just starred in silence across the living room coffee table at Sunset Dazzle.

"Y..you, your for real...arent you."

Popping her bruising fingers from her mouth, Sonata grinned.

"Yep! For realzies even!!!"

With Aria groaning at her siblings choice of words, Sunset gave a maternal smile and allowed her squirming Daughter Sunray to be passed into the blue arms of her just as childish Aunt.

"Yes, yes I am."

"Sooo...your a Horse?"

"Unicorn."

"Right. And the love of my life is a..mermaid?"

"Siren, babe."

With a dull blink, Gorrz looked down at his free hand.

"And..I.."

"Am Immortal, the scar on your neck proves your condition."

Reaching up to rub the mate scar Aria had given him months ago, Gorrz felt a flush run his cheeks.

"This is..."

"Awesome! Killer!? Totally o-m-g amazing?!?"

The huge male glanced at the sudden outburst from Sonata.

"...Really fucked up..."

His mate snorted a pig like sound in laughter at his choice of words, before returning to licking the inside of what was left of her bag of chips.

"Grr..I'm hungry, let me up...gonna order Pizza!"

Obeying his lovers words, Gorrz followed Aria's slinking form out of the room his eyes wide.

"Babe! Why did'nt you tell me!?"

Stopping at the entrance to the kitchen, the MMA fighter turned Mate and expecting Mother paused and wiggled her ample rear for him to see while glancing over her shoulder.

"What? And ruin this moment...ya right!!"

Even Sunset couldn't hold it in as she and Sonata's laughter replaced that of the now blushing Gorrz.
