The song of summer
Chapter 22: A ignored problem
Previous Chapter Next Chapter"What the fuck ever Dagi. Take your butch of a wife and leave me alone."
"Aria, your drunk, so I will forgive that. But you really, really can not keep doing this to Fluttershy, you know how sensitive the poor thing is."
"I told you it was a damn, hic...accident. G! Yo big dog Mama needs a filler up."
The trio of females where soon loomed over by the giant of a male, his tattoo laden arm pouring and topping off all of there drinks. Having moved to a table for privacy, the constant bickering between the two siblings had become to much for Sunset. Nodding her approval as he set another beer down infront of her, the biker turned Mother sighed and rubbed at her brow.
"Aria, Adagio is correct. We all know how attached you got to Shy, but she is with Rainbow now, and is HAPPY!"
"Psh, that steroid pumped jock isn't good enough for her."
"Aria..."
"What? I could break that little runt over my knee!"
"For Celestia's sake Ari, can't you see this is WHY Shy ended it. You can't just talk about your friend like that."
"Whatever Sunny, and that bitch aint my,hic...friend."
Returning with another round for his best customer, Gorrz set down the shot and beer chaser infront of Aria, his huge paw like hand resting on her muscle strewn shoulder.
"Word of advice babe. Aint nothing going to hurt more then the past. Let it be just that, in the past, eh? You know where I'll be when you need me."
Watching her giant of a friend go, Aria Blaze sighed and turned back to her family and away from the bear like man.
"Good pup that one."
Adagio sat with her legs crossed and a coy smirk on her lips. Sunset, eyeing her wifes expression groaned openly.
"Oh here we go again..."
"Uhh?"
Taken a long drag from her beer, Sunset ruffled her firey mane and jabbed a thumb in Adagio's direction.
"Your Sister is playing match maker again..."
"Why whatever could you be talking about mlove."
"Wait..she..what?"
Flicking her cloak like mane of curls over one shoulder, Adagio took up her glass of merlot and sipped gently.
"I have no idea what your talking about Sunset."
"Oh please! This is freaking Lyra and..whats her name again?"
"Bonbon."
"Ya, the gal with legs for days. This is them all over again!"
"Ahem, excuse me what are you two talking about....wait, big G?....BWHAHAHAHAH!"
The couple exchanged a look of amusement as the brawler sprawled atop the table infront of them. Her near six feet of pig tails slashing about like captured snakes, her mirth pouring out in loud animal like snorts and laughter. Only after nearly a full minute of laughter, did the MMA fighter lean back and gulp at her drink.
"Whew..that was a good one, damn Sunny, oh my sides..hheeh."
Lifting her glass to drink, Adagio peered over its rim like a predator on the hunt. Her prey, a purple grump.
"Who made a joke?"
"Uh??"
Taken a slow drink, Adagio felt the plan coming together. It was very clear in her actions, posture, chosen words and body langue that her Sister had strong feelings for the bartender. While Adagio didn't know much about him, from what Aria had mentioned, he was a good man. Stable, a business owner and very kind to her Sister, Adagio could ask for no more from a human.
"He is rather, alluring, don't you think Sis?"
Aria felt the hairs on the back of her neck go up. Adagio was up to something, and now the fighter knew it. She never used the term "Sis" unless her devilish mind was working on something. Gulping fully, the wide reared purple Siren spared a glance over her shoulder at Gorrz. The bear like man was leaning on the counter, chatting up some regulars. She found her drink hazed eyes wandering his figure, as if for the first time. A bit of girth hugged hips and belly, yet it only was a fur to that which was his body of muscle. Forearms the size of her thighs and well maintained biceps cut from shoulders that filled doorways. A far cry from Fluttershy's tiny figure and heavy chest. Yet...
"Who, G? That big dog is one mass of human kind, that's for sure. But alluring?"
Turning back to her sibling, Sunset had seemingly come on boared as the tomboy leaned over the table and whispered not-whispered in her husky voice to the purple brawler.
"Those eyes though, like a hunter, every time he looks at you they go from a thousand yard stare to pure...oh what is the word love?"
Adagio smirked and lifted her glass to drink again.
"Pure, unadulterated...affection. Rare really. I have seen plenty of humans give you looks over the years my dear Sister. Fear, intimidation, terror...lust...but never have I seen anyone look at you like he does."
"Think he has a thing for her love?"
"No, I think he is long past that. I believe your use of the term, "Big Dog" is apt. He is loyal to you, in a fashion I have rarely seen."
"He is my friend Dag. Shit half the time I am staying over at his pad."
"Shareing a bed eh?"
"WHAT?! NO!"
Watching the proud brawler quickly transform into a flustered girl, Adagio pushed on.
"You two would be so cute to see at the Movies. Imagine that mlove. Those two trying to cuddle in those tiny seats."
"Hehe! Yah, and the rest of the theater slowly, steadly abandoning ship as these muscle heads made out like a pair of rutting boars."
"I-will-murder-you-BOTH! Shut up, it isn't like that ok! He is my friend, we play games together, rock out to music and chow on pizza from around the corner. I aint like that with us! Besides, he totally has a girl friend..."
The blushing women felt the energy in her voice die.
"Really? You've never mentioned her..."
"Psh, scrawny bitch is always around him. A little bob wearing tramp."
"A bob cut, oh how boring."
"Right?! She comes in here all the time, walks behind the bar like she owns the place and coes sweet nothings to him. Almost always slaps him on his ass when she goes...I hate her so fucking much."
Grinning from ear to ear, Adagio leaned forward.
"Hate her eh? Rather protective of him aren't we?"
"W...what? NO! She is annoying, short, snotty and always on her stupid phone."
Sunset was silent, having leaned back and tapping her chin in thought.
"Wait, are you talking about the 20 something that works at the pizza place down the street?"
"Psh yah, they got great pie, but that's her, the one with the white strip down her mane. Looks like a fucking skunk."
"....Ari, you DO know her name right?"
"Why? She is just some whore, he is to good for her."
Sunset and Adagio shared a glance, then both broke into laughter. The tender seductive giggles of Dagi mingling with the loud barks of her wife. It was Sunset who recovered first at the now glaring form of Aria.
"Listen, I may have fucked up texting Shy. But if this is your form of revenge you both can fuck right off!"
"Hehe, no no girl..hehe. That girl you are foaming at the mouth over, hehe..her name is Gorra. Gorra FANG!"
Aria was just about to throw some punch's when she was snapped in revelation. Leaning back into her seat, the huge fighter barely heard the chair scream under her weight.
"He...his,..she..a Sister?"
"Heheh, Dagi and I had a date night when I was still pregnant. My baby belly needed sausage and pineapple. Remember, that was the night we came to pick your drunk ass up and we stopped on the way to get some pizza. My dear loving and oh so flirty wife was in a teasing mood and struck up a conversation with her, you never noticed they have the same eyes and skin color?"
"Well...uhh no..."
"What Sunny is saying my dear, your lover boy is free!"
A sharp blush washed her cheeks as Aria cast a glance over her broad shoulder. This time she was caught in the purple gaze of said "lover boy". Her blush grew as he gave her a tiny smirk and head nod. Spinning back around the overly grumpy Siren quickly gulped at her drink.
"This isn't happening...I can't, not..not a man, a human..not him."
Feeling her wife's hand fill her own, Adagio smiled to Sunset before returning the touch and tapping her siblings leg with her foot.
"One thing I have discovered since coming to this rock of a world. Love had no identity, no face, no persona. Love just well...it finds a way into the most locked of hearts. And girl, that shell of yours is cracking aful fast."
"....Fuck..."
