After a heated argument and a few helpings of muffins. Our two displaced ponies make their way to their new house in Maretropolis City; which was ironically right across from the Power Pony HQ. After a few hour of trying to settle in, our heroes for fun are now settling in their new house rent free thanks to Lance and Twilight.

“This place is very roomy. Don’t you think so Amethyst?” Derpy asked as The Cyborg Pony crashed on the couch.

“It would be better if we lived in the countryside instead of the city.”

“Oh come on Amethyst this place isn’t so bad.”

“This place is filled with idiots that want to either rule the world, or cause havoc wherever they go because they’re drunk on power. Not to mention that human is trying to get us to be heroes against our will. That’s something that I don’t like about him.”

“Even if that is true, you could be a little bit nicer to him. After all he did help us out a little bit, and we do owe him that much.”

“Hey I’m not punching him in the face like I do with most ponies am I? Besides that I find him annoying along with that Radiance pony.”

“She seems nice despite her bad fashion sense with the 70’s.” Derpy said as she notice a computer next to the window. “Hey look we have a free computer.”

“Aunty you know you’re not allowed to use the computer without somepony looking over you.” Amethyst said as she lifted her head up from the arm rest. “Remember what happen when you worked at that P-Tunes store?”

(Flashback)

“HELP! THIS COMPUTER THING IS ABOUT TO EXPLODE, AND I DON’T KNOW HOW TO STOP IT!”

“.........How much will this cost?” Amethyst asked as she pulled her wallet out.

“200 bits, you’re lucky that was an old model. Also you Aunt is fired.” said the store owner, as he sighed and walked back towards his office.

“*Sigh* Not a dull day for this family huh?” Amethyst said as she smiled at Derpy’s actions.

(End of Flashback)

“Oh…...right…..sorry about that.”

“Well it’s not like you hurt anypony when you did that. Anyway I think I’ll just sleep here on the couch for the night.”

“You sure about that? I mean your room is only a few hoofsteps away from the couch.”

“......Naw I’ll sleep here for the night.”

“Okay.” Derpy said as she trotted off to her room. “See you in the morning my little muffin.”

“I really wish you would stop calling me that.”

“Not until you learn to be nice to other ponies.”

“.........”

(The Next Day)

It was a perfect morning in Maretropolis City. The sun was shining, the air was clear of any clouds in the sky, and everypony was pretty much doing their own thing in their daily lives. Yep this was a perfect day for Derpy to sleep in until possibly noon or 10:00 am….but sadly this pony was gonna get a wake up call that she would’ve never expected.

*BANG!!!*

“Huh?” Upon hearing that sound, Derpy eyes shot open as she pulled herself up from her bed. She was about to hop out to see where that noise came from. Until something bust through the wall and grabbed her face. In a fit of both shock and surprise the mare knock away whatever it was that grabbed her, only to get punched in the face and sent flying out of her home. As she was sent flying outside, Derpy quickly recovered from the attack as she landed outside of her now destroyed house. “Our house?!”

While Derpy was still looking at the damage done to Amethyst and her house, someone appeared beside her catching her off guard as it punched her again only this time it sent her flying through the guard railing and into the stone support beam under the road. “Ow, that really hurt.” Derpy said as she notice some blood dripping from her head. “Aw man, and I thought I could’ve avoid going to the hospital this year.” as the mare tried to recover from what happen, she notice a shadow being cast over herself. She looked to see a strange looking creature similar to that of a human, but was more muscles, was taller, and had a weird looking mask on with red eyes popping out of it.

“Hey are you the pony that attacked me and my home?” Derpy asked. “If so then you’re gonna have to pay for the damage you caused mister….um what are you if you don’t mind me asking?”

“What” am I? That’s rude. We are the true earthlings of this world.”

“We?”

“I believe your kind called us ‘Subterraneans’.” He said as more Subterraneans started to appear from under the street. “We suffer from overpopulation. Therefore, we must now claim the world aboveground. I understand that there are many ponies on the surface too. As it stands, you are in our way. This is why we have decided to eradicate you all.” He said which surprised Derpy. “Since our invasion commenced, 70% of the surface dwellers have been killed. Minus the few who are still able to fight against us, but in time they’ll be killed off in a few days.”

“But why? Surely we ponies can come up with an idea where we both can live together side by side.”

“This is a battle for survival pony.” The Subterranean said, pointing a finger at Derpy. “I hope you can understand that. However, this is unexpected. We have encountered no surface dwellers whom our punches would not kill.”

“I take it you don’t want to talk this out huh?” Derpy asked as a serious expression appeared on her face. “Then you leave me with no choice Subterra beans, I must stop you in the name of justice, peace, and muffins!” just as she said that, The Subterranean eyes glowed as he readied himself to punch Derpy again.

“WE ARE EARTHLINGS!” He said as Derpy dodge his punch as it hit the stone support beam behind her. Just as she dodge the punch, Derpy stood on her back legs, raised a hoof, and punched the Subterranean in the stomach. At first nothing happen when she did that, that is until after a few seconds the subterranean upper body exploded into chunks of flesh.

“B-But how?!”

“You Bastard! Die!” said another subterranean, as he was prepare to slam Derpy into a bloody pulp. Only for her to dodge out of the way, bounce off of two of the subterraneans, and flies onto the street above her. Following her along were three of the Subterraneans as they were about to attack her again. Only for the mare to dodge the first one by moving to the left quickly. The second one tried to hit her with a kick, but was easily dodge as Derpy ducked then jumped out of the way of the second one. While in the air, the third one tried to knock her out of the way. Only for him to miss as the mare land in the middle of the trio.

As she landed in the middle, the three subterraneans slammed their fists onto her hoping that it would kill her. Instead Derpy simply just blocked it as the street they were on shifted downwards. During that time Derpy shifted her body to the ground as she spun around knocking the subterraneans off their feet. While they were stuck in mid-air, Derpy pulled herself up from the ground, turned to the third Subterranean, and punched him into the other two. Leaving a hoof print in the third one, and sending him and the other into a piece of the street sticking up from the ground.

Once she did that, more of the subterraneans jumped from below as she simply just bat them off like they were nothing but paper balls. One by one Derpy continued her ongoing attack as each one of the subterraneans tried to attack. This went on for a few seconds, until she was punched in the face by a much taller and heavy built Subterranean. This punch sent her flying into Maretropolis City’s gas station, causing it to explode upon impact.

“It’s Over.”

“What was that surface dweller?”

“I’m…” upon hearing that, all of the subterraneans turned to see Derpy slowly walk from out of the fire with a determination look on her face. “Just a mare who’s a hero for fun.” She said as some of the subterraneans to be surprised at what they were seeing. “And the surface is under my protection!”

“Big talk for a race of vermin!” One of the subterraneans said, as they all charged at her getting ready to dog pile her. Only for them to get sent flying off into different directions. As Derpy flew up into the air, she came flying down and hoof punch a subterranean in the face sending him flying off the ground. Another one tried to sneak up from behind her, but was bucked in the face and sent flying off.

Just as she landed after kicking the Subterranean that attacked her. Another one came after her through a piece of destroyed building, only for him to get a kick to the face just like the others. After sending another subterranean flying, Derpy was cut off guard as a fist came from her left and hit her. “Got yeah you little pest-.” before he could finish his statement, Derpy punched his hand and countered with a uppercut to his face. Two subterraneans appeared on both her left and right as they both tried to punch her. At first they thought they had her, until they heard Derpy say something.

“I won’t lose to the likes of you!” Derpy said as she knock the fists away, as the subterraneans were slammed on to the ground hard. “You won’t harm any pony while I’m still around!”

(Moments later)

After a few hours of fighting, Derpy find herself sitting on top of a mountain of dead subterraneans as she took this time to catch her breath. “Geez, I didn’t think there were that many of those subterra beans.” Derpy said as she looked around at her surroundings “I hope Lance has enough money to fix the damage I caused….maybe the city can help with that.” before Derpy could think of what to do next, the earth underneath her start to shake as something erupted from behind herself. The mare looked behind herself to see a four armed monster wielding four glowing swords.

“Well, well. Looks like you been taking good care of my children.” He said looking down at Derpy. “I, the Subterranean King, will take you on pony.”

“Ugh, why can’t bad guys be more for talking things out then fighting?” Derpy asked as she began to run towards the Subterranean King. “In the name of Justice, peace, and muffins. I Derpy Hooves.” With that last part Derpy flew off from the ground and headed towards the King.

“Will stop you!”

“MUFFIN PUNCH! GAH!” Derpy instantly woke up from her dream as she fell face first onto the floor. “Ow….wait that was a dream?” She asked, pulling herself from off the floor and began to trot over to the living room.

“Morning Aunt Derpy.” Amethyst said while cooking breakfast in the kitchen. “How did you sleep last night?”

“It was...okay.”

“You had a hard time getting to bed?”

“No it’s not that. It’s just that I had an odd but interesting dream.” Derpy said as she took a seat at the table. “I was fighting a bunch of monsters that wanted to destroy the pony race. Odd thing was that they actually hurt me a bit.”

“Okay…...you sure have some weird, but interesting dream Auntie.” Amethyst said, as she handed Derpy an egg mcmuffin.

“Hey, not all my dreams are that weird.”

“You mean the last dream you told me about how you fought against a muffin monster wasn’t weird?”

“That was just a one time thing. Anyway, what’s on today’s agenda?”

“We still need to find Dinky. Not only that, but we have to help out around the city if anything bad happens.”

“You don’t seem happy about it.”

“I don’t do the hero crap like the elements of harmony or Celestia. And that stupid idiot Lance keeps trying to force us into the hero business.”

“I’m sure he means well, though I think he might be…..forgetful at times.”

“Doesn’t matter, I don’t like him because of his personality. Faust that kid is not the brightest pony I have ever meet.”

“Well until then we just have to play the hero for now.” Derpy finished her mcmuffin, as she troted towards the door. “I’m going to have a look around the city for Dinky. Wanna join me?”

“I’ll catch up with you later, I have some stuff to look into online.”

“While you’re online, see if you can find a place that sells free muffins for me okay?” with that, Derpy trotted out the door and flew off into the city.

“I will never understand Auntie and her thing for muffins.” Amethyst said as she hopped onto the computer.
