The promise

Alex was in his garage, walking back and forth between his bikes, and his computer. Alejandra silently watched him from the doorway for the garage, curious as to what he was doing.

"Alex? Sweetie, what are you doing?" Alejandra asked with a smile.

"Pricing my bikes." Alex said. He continued to work as if nothing happened.

"Why?" Alejandra asked.

"Oh, I'm selling my bike collection. I'm reducing it down to two bikes." Alex said.

"And what made you decide to do this?" Alejandra asked.

"Well. Our income is high enough to support us and our insurance bills for these bikes. But, we don't have enough left for any real retirement fund. So, I'm selling the bikes and putting the money towards when we are old and can't work anymore. Combine that with the large amount of money taken off our insurance bills, and we should have plenty to retire." Alex said.

"Why are you focusing on retirement already?" Alejandra asked. Alex sighed.

"Come here." He said Alejandra walked over to him. He pulled out a box and opened it, revealing two silver rings. "Now, these aren't engagement rings. I don't think we're mature enough for that. But they are special. They're called promise rings, and they're to symbolize our promise to each other. I'm making a promise with you, a promise that we will get married once we are mature enough." He slid the ring onto one of Alejandra's fingers, and turned it to a side with the word "promise" on it. it was engraved in cursive, and it had tiny gems placed around the word. Alejandra was crying tears of joy. She leapt out and hugged Alex. She kissed him for a few seconds, and then slid the second promise ring onto one of his fingers.

"I love you." She said.

"I love you too Alejandra."

"So you sold all of your bikes, except for two?" Straight asked. He had a shocked look on his face.

"Yup." Alex said.

"Which two did you keep?" Soul asked. Sharing Straight's shocked expression.

"The Harley Davidson 48 and my Ducati 848." Alex said.

"Man, I guess we can't call you the bike addict anymore." Warhawk said. He looked disappointed.

"Wait, did you sell the custom bike we made?" Soul asked with a look of concern.

"Yep, I sold it to treble. I wanted that one to stay in our group, just because it was something we made together." Alex said. Soul sighed. At least he could still see what he helped make.

"Yeah, thanks for giving me the bike by the way! I'm gonna treat her real good." Treble said. He put a hand on Alex's shoulder.

"I know you will Treble." Alex said.

"Wait, why did you pick the 48 over the others?" Daemon asked.

"Eh, I like the sporty slash muscular look it has. Although, the mini apes are a bit high, so I'm gonna go for the stock handle bars on the bike." Alex said.

"Well, do you know what your gonna do with the money you made?" Artemis asked.

"Yeah, I'm putting toward my future with Alejandra." Alex said.

"That a boy! This requires a toast!" Mise said. He took a sip from his flask.

"Well, I'm happy for you man. I think you made a great decision." Clyde said. He gave Alex a pat on the back.

"I just can't believe that you sold all those bikes. I mean, you had nearly twenty bikes all for you. I bet that garage must be pretty empty now." Night said.

"Yeah, but I'll find something to do with that space. And I'll admit, I'm gonna miss the breakout. But I think the 48 is more suited to my size anyway." Alex said.

"Welp, who wants to go get pizza!?" Clyde said. Everyone said me at the same time and they ran towards their vehicles. They started their engines and began hauling ass to the pizza shop. Next Chapter: hulk "smash" if you know what I mean. Estimated time remaining: 33 Minutes
