Time to build a bike! Day 2

Alex stopped the partially finished bike in front of Straight's house. The two got off the bike and shook hands.

"Nice hangin with you man." Alex said.

"You too." Straight said. He was about to walk to his front door, but he remembered something that Alex had said. "Hey Alex?" He asked.

"Yeah?"

"When I asked you about the gun, you said, and I quote, 'you could say it was a gift from my father' like that was seggestive. So tell me, how did you really get that gun?" Straight asked. Alex paused.

"It was in my inheritance from my parents." Alex said, not facing Straight.

"What do you mean 'inheritance'?" Straight asked.

"You see..." Alex paused. He let out a sigh. "Someone broke into our house one night. They were carrying a knife. Unfortunately for my mom and dad, dad had left this gun locked in his room. They were both murdered, and I was alone in the house with the murderer. Fortunately for me, my mother was a very paranoid person, so she always locked my bedroom door. The next morning, the man was long gone and I had no idea what had happened until...." He paused again. "I saw them, on the floor. The were pale and they weren't breathing. When I saw my mother, a song came into my head. It was the lullaby she use to always sing to me."

"What was the lullaby?" Straight asked out of morbid curiosity.

"I don't know the name, but I know the lyrics. The birds are singing, singing, singing, go to bed, go to bed. I'll see you in the morning, morning, morning, rest your head." Alex said.

"How long have you had the gun?" Straight asked, a little concerned.

"Since I was sixteen. It came with a note he left me, it said 'use it to protect your friends, and your loved ones.' My parents died when I was six. I guess dad was smart with the decision to give it to me at sixteen, huh?" Alex said. He paused. "Do you know why I love motorcycles?" Alex asked.

"No, why?"

"My dad use to take me on rides with him. Ever since then, I was hooked. Now, riding brings back the happy memories. Memories of things I'll never be able to do again." Alex said. Alex sighed. "I've been declared a legal adult since I was sixteen. And before you ask, yes, that is possible. But only in curtain circumstances. I was one such case. But yeah, I guess you could say I had to grow up early." Alex said.

"Your not alone man. My birth parents are dead." Straight said.

"Well, at least you have adopted parents." Alex said. "Anyway, I'll see you tomorrow man." Alex said quietly.

"Yeah, see ya." Straight said. He watched as Alex drove off. "He saw all that? at the age of six? Man, I'm surprised he's not really messed up." Straight said.

Mise and Soul Arrived at Alex's house. Alex saw Mise take a quick drink from a metal flask. Alex sighed.

"Mise, are you seriously drinking?" Alex asked.

"Depends, do you seriously carry around a colt?" Mise said with a tipsy slur. Soul punched him on the arm. "Ow!" Alex went pale.

"How much do you know?" Alex asked.

"Everything." Mise said. Alex became even more pale.

"I think I'm gonna be sick." Alex said, he ran to the nearest trash can.

"Woah! You alright man!?" Soul asked. He rushed up to Alex.

"Yeah.. Yeah it's just nerves." Alex said. "Let's uh, let's not talk about that topic ever again. I was barely able to keep my lunch down when I told Straight." Alex said.

"Alright man. Anyway, what are we doing today?" Soul asked. Alex wiped off the corners of his mouth.

"We're painting the bike, and mounting the skull shaped air intake on the forks." Alex said.

"Sounds like a plan." Soul said.

"I knew someone with a plan. she ripped my heart out, and stomped on it." Mise said in his drunken state. Alex stared for a few moments.

"O-k? Well, we will start painting the parts soon. You won't get to see the bike when it's complete though, I want it to be a surprise for tomorrow." Alex said.

"Well, let's get to painting!" Soul said.

"I'm painting the fuel tank!" Alex said.

"Dammit!" Soul and Mise said in unison.

It was mid day, and Alex had already finished painting the fuel tank. Now it was a matter of waiting for the paint to dry. Soul and Mise were still painting, but Alex was on his laptop. He was looking around Amazon.

"What are you doing?" Soul asked Alex.

"I've decided to stop rocking the all black outfit. So I'm buying a tan leather jacket, some tan leather work boots, and blue jeans." Alex said.

"You in anything but black or grey? HA! that i need to see!" Soul said.

"Well, you may be seeing it soon. I selected the two hour shipping option." Alex said.

"They have a two hour shipping option?" Mise asked, still a bit hungover from his whiskey.

"They do if the manufacturer is really close by. I wonder who would be close enough for that though?" Alex asked. Soul scrolled down to look at the address that it's being shipped from. Him and Mise looked at each other.

"Isn't that Rarity's address?" Mise asked. Soul nodded.

"Ah, so it's coming from Rarity's shop! That makes sense!" Alex said.

"How long ago did you buy these things?" Soul asked.

"About an hour and fifty nine minutes ago." Alex said. The door bell rang. "That sounds like the packages. I'll be right back." Alex said.

"That was conveniently timed." Soul said. Alex was gone for a bit longer then the two expected. When he came back in, he was wearing the new stuff he bought.

"How does it look?" Alex asked. The two looked at him.

"Ok, I'll admit it, I didn't think that you would pull it off. But now that your wearing the stuff, I think it suits you." Mise said.

"And for once you don't look like a goth person!" Soul said.

"Wait woah woah, I looked like a goth person before, and no one told me!?" Alex said.

"Yeah, we were kind of scared of you at first." Soul admitted.

"Well thanks for telling me guys!" Alex said.

"Your welcome." Mise said. Alex facepalmed. Next Chapter: Time to build a bike! Day 2 part 2 Estimated time remaining: 60 Minutes
