Time to build a bike! Day 1

The boys had just gotten everything out of the trailer and into the garage. They all let out a sigh of relief.

"Thank god the heavy lifting is done." Mise said.

"You can say that again." Artemis said.

"Well, since you asked." Treble said. "Thank god the heavy lifting is done." Artemis face palmed.

"I was being sarcastic." Artemis said. Treble grew a sly grin.

"Oh, I'm very aware of that." He said.

"Alright guys, let's get to work." Alex said.

"What do you want the paint job to be?" Richard asked.

"Hhmmm, I'm thinking a black with red flames on the tank. And maybe a chrome skull on each side of the fuel tank as well." Alex said.

"I like the way you think." Richard said.

"Well, it's time for a montage!" Treble said.

"Time for a what?" Alex asked.

"Hit it writer!" Treble shouted.

They began to put the engine in the bike frame, being very careful so they wouldn't break anything on the engine. Treble and Alex tightened some bolts on the engine, while mise and Artemis sanded down the parts that require paint. Straight and Richard were working on the rear suspension and the forks for the front tire. Alex stopped working for a moment, he looked at both sides of the engine.

"Hey Richard! This engine has dual air intakes right?!" Alex said, shouting over the sanding machines that mise and Artemis were using.

"Yep! Why?!" Richard asked.

"I'm thinking about something I can do with that!" Alex said.

"Like what?!" Richard said.

"Well, it looks like you forgot to buy a head light for this thing! So, instead of putting a headlight on the forks, maybe we can put a metal skull up there!" Alex said.

"Dude! That sounds awesome! What is it gonna look like!?" Richard asked.

"Imagine a chrome skull with angry looking eye sockets, and a perminately open mouth!" Alex said.

"Sounds cool, but what does this have to do with the air intakes!?" Richard asked.

"Well, the mouth will suck in air, and then a single tube splits into two separate tubes that feed right to the engine!" Alex said.

"That's my little bro! I'll start working on the parts tonight!" Richard said.

"Got it!"

"Continue the montage!" Treble shouted.

Straight had finished working on the rear suspension, and started installing the carburetor. Richard finished the forks, and began installing the wiring and battery. Alex installed the fenders and tail lights, while Treble worked on the gear shifter. Mise has finished sanding, and he was directed to install the rear brake. Artemis finished sanding not to long after, so Richard told him to install the clutch and brake levers. Richard had finished the wiring in a very short amount of time, so he started adding the chain that would drive the rear wheel.

The day was ending, and Alex's friends were leaving for the night. They had finished about three quarters of the bike, and were finished with preping the parts for painting. Richard was starting to work on the skull shaped, air intake. Once everyone but Richard was gone, Alex walked to the end of his driveway to retrieve his mail. He opened the mail box, and found nothing. Alex shrugged, and cast a quick glance down the block. He saw someone with blonde hair and some goons, and they were holding straight. The blonde one was hitting Straight repeatedly in the face. Alex sighed and ran inside his house, grabbing something and rushing back out. He was hiding it behind his back.

"Yo!" Alex called.

"Who are you?" The blonde one said.

"I'm one of Straight's friends." Alex said. "Why don't you just fuck off you little shit."

"Look kid, I don't want to be put in jail because you wanted to be a hero-"

"Oh, your not going to jail if you keep messing with him." Alex pulled the object out from behind his back, it was a colt 1911 silver star. "I'm going to jail." He put a clip in and wracked the slide. The group took off running. Straight regained his balance, wiping the blood from his nose. He looked at the group, then at Alex.

"Why the hell do you have a colt?" Straight asked.

"you could say it was a gift from my father. I mostly have it for self defense." Alex said. "Who were those guys anyway?"

"Oh, just Blueblood and some of his goons. Bastards." Straight said.

"I've seen people like them before. they'll hide from a distance, and jump out at you again when I'm not here." Alex thought for a moment. "Tell you what, I'll drive you home." Alex's said.

"Why do we constantly find these things out about you by mistake? First Richard Garret, now this!" Straight asked.

"I like to keep my friends on their toes. Any way, Richard!" Alex said.

"Yup!" He shouted from inside the garage.

"I'll be right back! I'm gonna take Straight home!" Alex said.

"Is he alright!?" Richard asked.

"Yeah, some guys were just messing with him! I'm taking the new bike out for a spin!" Alex said.

"Alright! Just don't get on the throttle to much! We haven't installed the custom air intake and we haven't broken the engine in yet!" Richard said.

"Alright!" Alex said. He grabbed the key to the bike and his black leather Jack. He put his jacket on while he held the key in his mouth. He turned the key and took a seat on the bike. He press the ignition switch and the bike roared to life for the first time. Alex smiled, the exhaust pipes were Harley Davidson pipes. So the engine didn't sound like it was whining like most other Sportbike's do.

"She sounds just like a Harley." Straight commented.

"She has the appearance and the sound of a Harley, but she has the heart and the power of a sportbike. Hop on." Alex said. Straight got on the back, and Alex lifted the side stand. They rolled out of the driveway, and drove off toward Straight's house. Next Chapter: Time to build a bike! Day 2 Estimated time remaining: 1 Hour, 5 Minutes
