I was sitting on a train reading a newspaper again. I looked around to see my herd, excluding Zecora she had some business back home and couldn't come, they were practically bouncing around I just sighed and continued to read my newspaper.

"What's gotten your tail in a twist Mickey?" Dash.

"First off I don't have a tail and second I don't like Canterlot."

"What's not to like? The fashion, the architecture, the food. It's so wonderful." Rarity said.

"The fact that every time I sleep out of my house I almost get raped in my dreams, it's the home to the rulers of the country that want to either kill me, fuck me, or both. There's also the part where the unicorns think that they're so superior to every other race because they can do magic. Need I continue?"

"Well I suppose there is that." Rarity said quietly. Pinkie then bounced into view.

"Don't worry Mickey if there's anything Pinkie Pie can do is make a pony smile. I will make you smile in Canterlot even if it kills me!" She declared.

"Don't go that far, I don't need to explain to your family how you wound up dead. They'll kill me for being in the general area and being your stallionfriend." I said without looking up from my newspaper. "I already met Maud, and she only cares about your safety. It did hurt when you told her that she was going to be an aunt. I got the ever loving collective shit beat out of me. I may be a boxer but I'm not going to hit a girl, so I stood there like a man and took it."

"More like laying down and crying." AJ snickered.

"When you grow a pair of testicles and get kicked in them by a pony that can demolish rocks with her bare hands, you would be crying too." I replied I still had bruises from that confrontation. She did apologize afterwords when Pinkie explained things to her. I couldn't tell if she meant it in that monotone voice of her's but I took Pinkie's word for it. She just asked for me not to betray Pinkie, or else that beating I took would have been spring break compared to what she would've done. "My point still stands, Canterlot is just a place full of racist bigots, who care more about themselves then the hobo on the street begging for change."

"What about me?" Twilight asked. "I was born in Canterlot, do you think I'm a racist bigot?"

"You're different." I said as I looked up from the newspaper.

"How so?"

"You changed, from what Spike has told me you used to be the polar opposite of what you are now. That's what makes you different, your family is the same way I can respect your brother and parents for wanting to protect you. The others I couldn't give two shits and a fuck about. I wanted to know, where will we be staying?"

"The castle." Twilight replied

"Great spending who knows how long with immortal alicorns that could atomize me at any given second. Will your brother be there as well?"

"Yes he will."

"That's not all folks we'll throw in an angry captain of the guard that can and probably will murder me for being his little sister's stallionfriend, what a great deal two for the price of one all for the low price of just 14.99 plus processing and handling." I replied once more. "Fluttershy could you please come here?"

"W-why?" she asked.

"Because I need some snuggle-wuggles for my boo-boos." I said cutely and with my arms stretched out, as soon as I said that Fluttershy and Pinkie were closer to me than siamese twins. I grabbed on to my necklace and rubbed it it had the letter A on it, I dwelled on the past for a little bit longer. "How much longer until Canterlot?"

"About an hour." Rarity said while reading a magazine. So I got comfortable and took a nap between my shy girl and my pink baker.

I woke up and looked out the window, Canterlot was fast approaching and there was nothing I could do about it. I got up and stretched my back. The train slowed to stop and the girls were ready to leave the train as soon as I stepped my foot out the train car with my luggage in hand there was the blaring of a horn.

"Now presenting the elements of harmony." I looked to see that they had literally rolled a red carpet out for my girls. I just zipped up my jacket and put on my hat and walked behind them while they did meet and greets. I carried my luggage as the girls were put into a carriage I was about to get in, but was then stopped by a guard. "Sorry sir, you're going to have to wait for the next carriage." The girls were looking at me I could see there was ample room but I didn't want to argue with what were considered the police.

"Okay." I acquiesced, "Be safe girls." I waved them off. I sat down on a bench and waited the crowd dispersed and I was left all alone except for the guard. Who was called to the castle to report back to his regular duties. I waited and waited, I don't think there was another carriage coming for me. I wiped the tears out of my eyes and started to walk in the direction of the castle. It wasn't that hard to find, it was huge kind of obvious where it was. I grabbed my luggage and rolled it behind me down the street. This was disrespectful, it was obvious that I was with the elements and they up and leave me! I just kept walking, I hope the girls were waiting for me....right?

Two miles! I had to walk two fucking miles to get to the castle. I never knew Canterlot was so big, it made me even more pissed that I had to carry my luggage behind me, and I spent half my bits on a tofu dog that tasted funny. I got to the castle gates and said to the pair of guards. "Mickey Young I'm with the elements of harmony."

"Do you have any proof?" The guard asked.

"I'm their herd mate. Go ask them."

"Yeah I'm not buying it. Hit the road jackass."

"Oh wait maybe he could be with them, as their trained pet monkey."

I lost it at that point and knocked that guard straight the fuck out. I started kicking him. "Who. The. Fuck. Are. You. Calling. A. MONKEY!" I said between each kick. "Wait a minute where'd the other guy-" I didn't get to complete my sentence because I was knocked out, when I came to I was looking at the bars of a cell. I rubbed my head. "Aww shit." I hung my head in shame. Why'd I have to go and do that? I should've turned the other cheek. I should have tried harder to get to the girls, I'd probably end up in the same situation but it'd been less shameful. I heard footsteps approaching and then stopped in front of me. I looked up to see the solar princess looking down at me. "Come here to gloat, now that you have me by the balls."

"No I haven't." She said, opened the cell door and sat down next to me. "I don't get you. You actively seek out to defy me, why?"

I sighed. "Ever since I came here, when I first met you. You looked down on me, back where I come from you'd get punched in the face for that. No matter where you are or what position. You degraded me before you even knew me just because of rumor, and when you made me that breeder offer. It told me I'm nothing that a prostitute. I'm a soldier, I saw a lot of things in war saw my friends killed. I was considered a hero to some. It left a lot of scars, when you told me the things you did............. I was disrespected it hurt me on more than an emotional level."

"I'm sorry. I didn't realize it, to be honest I had a rough day that day. That shouldn't have effected the way I approached you that day. I shouldn't look down on others because of who they are. Mich-Mickey I'm sorry. You shouldn't have been treated the way you were and that's what led our dislike of each other."

"I'm sorry too, I just- everything happened so fast and was confusing, things happened to me without my consent and I was angry. I shouldn't have lashed out and I apologize."

"Do you want to start over?" She asked.

"I'd like that."
