Ruby patted Lyric on the back before getting to her feet and began walking away. "Where are you going Ruby?"

Ruby stopped and turned to her brother. "I've just got to meet with a friend. I'll be back soon don't worry. In the meantime, why don't you go speak to Sapphire?"

"W-Why me? Wouldn't mom and dad be better at talking to her about all of this?"

Ruby shook her head and walked back over to the timid boy, kneeling down and playing a hand on his shoulder while looking into his eyes. "Lyric, you are the most soft spoken and kind of all of us in the family. You know what to say when someone is down. She's your sister Lyric, mom and dad would probably go easy on her due to parental affection. What Sapphire needs is someone honest and string willed like you to talk to her."

"But I'm not strong willed! I'm not-" Before he could complete his sentence, Ruby gently placed a finger on hai lips to silence him while looking him in the eye with a soft smile.

"Yes, you are. You fought Rage one on one and came out without a scratch, meanwhile the rest of us were desperate to find some way to beat him out of dad. You stood up for us, you protected us from an enemy that should have sent fear running down your spine, yet facing him didn't phase you. You're much stronger than you know Lyric, it's time to stop doubting yourself." She cupped his cheek and gently kissed his forehead before disappearing, leaving him by himself.

Lyric just stared at the spot that his sister used to be in and sighed. "How am I even going to do this?"

Sapphire placed the orange egg in with the others back in the now repaired Castle of Friendship. She gently placed the egg in the basket after carrying them from the battlefield after Nathan had ran off to help Metal.

She wiped a tear from her cheek before gently rubbing the sides if the large eggs. "I'm sorry guys. I tried to keep you safe, but only pit you in more danger." She stopped and looked through her weapons...nothing left but her wrench. "What kind of big sister am I if I keep get you into these situations?"

"Sapphire?"

Sapphire turned to see Lyric standing in the doorway who was slightly sweating in nervousness. "O-Oh...hey Lyric...what's up?"

Lyric took a deep breath and sighed. Walkimg forward in silence Sapphire only watched as he reached her with his head slightly lowered. He lifted his head and looked her in the eye, now seeing how red they were from all of her crying. "Sapphire...I...I've come to talk about earlier...with you and dad."

Sapphires hands began to visibly tremble in nervousness. "W-Why would you want to,talk about that?"

Lyric slowly reached over and took one of her hands in his before doing the same with the other. "Because I want you to have honesty."

"Huh?" Suddenly Applejack popped her head in through the door. "Somepony say somethin' about honesty?"

"Trying to have a tender moment here Applejack." Lyrics response just caused Sapphire to look at him strangely.

"Oh, right, sorry. Carry on." Applejack closed the door and continued on her way, leaving the twins to their business.

"Since when are you like this? I didn't think you'd ever respond to someone like that."

Lyric rubbed the back of his neck nervously and looked away slightly. "Well...after turning into Legendary Lyric and becoming Melodrain with Amnesia...I guess I've been thinking over a lot of things...and somehow I'm not really as shy as before." Lyric quickly shook his head and returned his attention to his sister. "But that's not what I'm here for. You need to talk about This with someone that won't go easy on you like mom and dad. I may not be the toughest of our family but I know how to be brutality honest when the time comes."

"Like dad would actually go easy on me for this..."

"He would, and he will. Sapphire, you and I both know that dad cares about us just a little too much, he'll do anything to make sure we're happy and safe. But he can't provide the necessary honesty in these situations because he himself has never experienced that."

"Lyric, listen. I know I screwed up, big time. I put our brothers and sisters in a lit of danger and I jumped the gun. I understand all of that, I know I'm out of control, there's nothing else to talk about."

As Sapphire tried to walk away Lyric grabbed her by the arm and turned her around again, now visibly sweating with nervousness. "Yes there is...what are you going to do now? How do you actually feel? What do you want to say to dad?"

Sapphire stopped, thinking over his words for a moment. When she didn't answer Lyric sighed and sat her down.

"Let's just...see what we can do about this."

Meanwhile

After returning to Rubys side, both the future girl and the demonic robot hedgehog made their way into a few miles away from Ponyville. There was someone they had to speak to after the battle, someone from their broken timeline, the new that had sent them back to the past in the first place.

"I was wondering when you'd show up." Symbols voice echoed throughout the area before a glowing white portal appeared in front of them and a figure stepped out. It was a young man that look,ed to be around nineteen. His hair was long and was glowing white, everything except for his skin was white, his skin being tan. He wore a white trenchcoat with a t-shirt underneath that had a grey symbol of the sun on it. There were two crystalic wings griefing out of his back and there was white mist seeping out of his hands. "Hello again you two."

"Hello, Master Symbol." Ruby greeted as she gave a small bow.

"What have I said about calling me master? You may be my student but there's no reason for such formality." Symbol said with annoyance while folding his arms. "Anyway. You're here about what happened during that battle with Rage and Epidemic right?"

"I am, yes. It's about my training."

Symbol frowned. "You want to do,e back here to train more?" He asked reluctantly. Not because he disliked training her, he loved her like a daughter and would willingly teach her again.

"No, I don't."

This caught the void dweller by surprise. "Oh, why's that then?"

"I feel like I can grow stronger here than in your care, mill be able to learn from experience rather than training sessions. I'll be able to face different opponents and adapt from those battles. Branching off from your tutorship will allow me to explore other options of combat and knowledge."

Symbol just smiled and placed a hand on her cheek. "Well, there wasn't much that I had left to teach you anyway. I could only teach you my fighting styles, but now you shall be able to develop your own." He patted her on the cheek before pulling away and letting his smile fall. "Now...there is a second reason why you've called me back isn't there?"

Metal got into his back legs and nodded. "Indeed, there is something that isn't right about this timeline. Nightmares showing up when they shouldn't be, strange feelings of unbalance and historical inaccuracies to be precise."

"So what you're saying is, someone else has been messing with the main timeline..."
