Alex dodged the attacks of numerous drones.
This was a small, essential part of Canis' training that has been implemented into Alex's daily schedule. His goal was to take out as many of them as he could without using his abilities. It served to enhance his natural strength and speed for a better outcome in the future.
The main problem was the fact that his mechanical arms and legs worked exactly like natural muscles, and with his arms and legs hacked off, he would have to start from the ground up if he wanted to be strong enough to take on Cinder. The good news was these new arms and legs were able to get much stronger than an average human's in a much shorter amount of time.
"Keep at it, boy! You've gotten soft! Is Fall really goin' to let you take a breather durin' your grudge match?!" Canis ordered.
Alex ducked to avoid a drone's leg, grabbing both limbs and knocking it onto it's back. Alex stood up, he robot still in his hands, and spun it around, taking out as many robots as he could before stomping on it's neck.
"0% Remaining, damage to neck and spinal cord." the robot chirped as Alex reared his fist back, punching the robot square in the chest and ramming his foot through the robot's chassis.
"0% Remaining, chest cavity ruptured." The robot crumpled to the ground.
"Damn.." Canis gaped.
Alex got on his hands and wrapped his legs around a drone's neck, twisting sharply and pulling it to the ground.
"0% Remaining, damage to neck and spinal cord."
Alex got hit in the back, causing him to stagger to the ground. Enraged, he charged at the drone, punching it in the face repeatedly and denting the chassis.
"0% Remaining, damage to skull and brain."
"Alright, that's enough for today, Walker." Canis turned off the drones, letting Alex get up.
"Ok, what's next?" Alex asked.
"Always the inquisitive one, you are. You'll be having a guest teacher for the next two weeks. You'll be transferred to another universe temporarily to train with this guest teacher." Canis recalled.
"Okay.. Who's my guest teacher?" Alex asked.
Canis shuddered.
"Popo.." Canis nervously said.
"What?" Alex asked.
"...Popo.."
"I can't hear you, Canis. Can you speak up?" Alex asked.
"He's talking about me." A voice said behind Alex.
Alex turned around to see... Alex wasn't sure how to describe this person.
"Hiiiiii..." The figure greeted.
"Um... Who is that?" Alex asked.
"That is.. That is Mr. Popo.." Canis fearfully said.
"TFS version or Original?" Alex wondered.
"Abridged version." Canis answered.
"Oh... Oh dear god... Is this really canon?" Alex asked.
"For your sake, I hope not." Canis replied.

"...And that's how I ended up with Mr. Popo. I thought my nightmares were bad already, but holy shit, I almost can't sleep at night knowing those eyes are peering into my soul..." Alex shuddered.
"So, what did this 'Mr. Popo' guy make you do?" Yang asked, curious.
Alex hyperventilated, tearing up slightly.
"Um... Alex?" Yang asked again, concerned.
Alex let out a small whimper.
"C'mon! Just tell me what happened so I can help you! I swear, you haven't changed from when we first met.." Yang muttered, rolling her eyes.
"FIRST RULE OF POPO'S TRAINING: DO NOT TALK ABOUT POPO'S TRAINING!!!" Alex cried, yes, cried.
"Alex, tell me all about why you're crying, okay buddy?" Yang comforted him as best as she could, pulling him into a hug.
"SECOND RULE OF POPO'S TRAINING: DO NOT EXPLAIN POPO'S TRAINING!!!!"
Author's Notes:
Yeah, I have some good news to those who enjoyed this tale of a kid in way over his head. But bad news to those who either didn't like it, or those who have already gotten through about 35 chapters of my crap only to discover there is more crap.
The Sequel has Landed!
By now, there are eight chapters, some of the promises I made for this have been kept, and at this point, I'm just trying to get the word out for it.
'till next time!
