Lui's eyes shot open, he was laying in some kind of pod or chamber, connected by a series of wires and electrodes to it's interior.
"He's up! Get him out of there!" Someone yelled.
Lui instantly felt every wire being ripped off him as he was pulled out of the pod.
"Where am I?" Luis asked, rubbing his eyes.
He noticed he wasn't in his monkey mask at all anymore, nor did he have any of his weapons on him.
"I'm Corporal Wilson, North American Federation. You're in an old CIA hideout." Wilson explained.
"Where's Vanoss and the others?! I have to get back there!" He demanded.
"Technically, he's both there, and here." Wilson answered, pointing to another series of pods.
"Oh, right. That." Lui remembered. This was where Mako, among others, had him and his friends stored during Project Immersion.
"According to the CIA documents we unearthed here, your friends were given bodies to transfer their consciousness to while running the simulations. Your Avatars. Your friends' bodies are still over here, but out there, it's a whole 'Sword Art Online' deal except there isn't any risk of you guys dying permanently. Something must have happened, otherwise you wouldn't have woken back up here."
Lui sat down, at least making an effort to take all of this in.
"Where's the nearest portal to Providence?" Lui asked.
"Providence, that's where all of these portals seem to end up. At least since yesterday, when The Admiral gave that speech." Wilson sighed.
"I know him! He's over there right now! Our ships just started attacking each other out of the blue after the teleporter thingies started. We crashed on Kalos whatever and had to fight..." Lui stopped.
"Fight who? What else happened there?" He asked.
"I have to get back there now! My friends are in trouble!"
----
Alpha looked over the reports in anger and disbelief.
Beta had been killed by Summer's Daughter and Sigma had been captured by the Boy. The other Inquisitors were either dead, captured, or unable to assist. That is, except for Gamma and Sigma's pupils.
"Alpha, Sir!" One of his guards ran, saluting.
"Speak, subordinate." Alpha demanded.
"The Coalition is en route to Tranquility Complex!! We aren't equipped to handle an invasion of that scale without serious losses!" He babbled.
Alpha seethed with aggression, unsheathing his sword.
The guard dropped the reports and backed away in fear before Alpha put away his weapon.
"What..?" The guard gasped.
"Activate the Flux Generator." Alpha ordered.
The guard's eyes bulged with fear.
"T-The Flux Generator isn't finished yet! The island will be plunged into a singularity, and so will our city!"
"Do you think I did not realize this? Activate the generator!" Alpha yelled.
"Y-Yes, sir.." The guard walked away, horrified.
Alpha let out a low, quasi-mechanical laugh.
"Alexander, you will die. One way or another!"
----
Alex put on his helmet again, grabbing the Battle Rifle off his back.
"Unity, we're 30 seconds away from the Drop Point. Expect anything and everything down there. We have about 3 million, they have four. And both of us have millions in reinforcements believed to be fighting on the other 2 Islands. Everything's going to go straight to hell down there, but we have our objectives. A: Shut down the base, let nothing in or out. B: Excecute Kill/Capture orders on all Inquisitors, identified or not!" Alex briefed.
"And once we're done?" Ember asked.
"We move in on the castle nearby. Alpha is believed to be in there right now. A team consisting of Alex, Vanoss, Ruby, Twilight will move in and kill the SOB." Mako recalled.
"15 seconds!" The pilot called.
"Vanoss and crew, Unicorns, and anyone else who can't survive a 9000 foot drop, put on a chute!" Kat yelled out.
The others put on their chutes, except the huntsmen and Alex.
"Can your Auras even support a fall of that height?" Twilight wondered.
"We have our own landing strategies. Well, most of us anyway." Yang shrugged.
"What do you mean?" Vanoss wondered.
"I have other plans." Alex simply replied, gesturing to the jets on his armor as he strapped a portable bass cannon to his shoulder.
"Moron." Mako dismissively shook her head.
"Pilot, before I do anything stupid, are there any Red Star in the air underneath us I should know about?" Alex asked.
"I'll call 'em as I see 'em!" He replied.
"Remember, guys. Squat, Pray, Leap, 'Aaaaah', and Touchdown!" Vanoss joked.
"Doesn't that spell 'Splat'?" Ruby asked, smirking.
"Did you really just reference f**kin' Drake and Josh?!" Nogla cried out in disappointment.
"Hey, man. It's a classic."
"Guys, you're my friends and all, but your jokes are seriously the worst. I'm not even kidding." Vinyl groaned as the door swiveled out, revealing a massive fleet of drop-ships.
The red light over the door turned green as everyone ran out, leaping to the earth below.
Alex walked over to the door, set his jets low, and fell out.
He let the targeting systems and the Auto-Fire on the bass cannon do most of the work and blow up the fighters. The rest he hacked in two or shot at the cockpits.
He saw an Inquisitor battleship directly below him, he set the jets to high and careened through it, letting the flames envelop his armor as the ship fell in a heap to the base below.
He caught up with Weiss, the only member of Team RWBY still at his height.
'Um... I don't mean to alarm you, but there's a couple huge tanks keeping us from doing anything. Can you take care of 'em?' Kat asked.
He turned to the alabaster-clothed huntress knowingly.
"There's a couple tanks just below us, you have any ideas?" He asked.
"I might have something, get your sword ready!" She called back, summoning two rows of glyphs just below them.
Alex sped like a bullet to one of the tanks, he quickly set his blades to their saw modes and ripped the tank into shreds in mere milliseconds. Weiss landed directly on the second, a large explosion ruptured the tank's hull and blew it apart second later. She met with the rest of the group unharmed.
"You two sure know how to make an entrance!" Ruby smirked.
"That was f**king epic!" Vanoss added.
"Thanks, but we still have to destroy the base. Any ideas?" Alex asked.
"The base is filled with weapons, right?" Vanoss wondered.
"Yeah, what of it?" Yang wondered.
Vanoss's group smiled knowingly.
"Where there's weapons, there's ammo." Wildcat shrugged.
Alex face palmed.
"How the hell were they able to catch on before anyone else?" Alex groaned.
"That's suicide. They probably have the ammo guarded, and even if one of us can get through, the Red Star will catch on." Blake insisted.
"Then again, we might not have to..." Twilight smiled knowingly.
"Oh, god. She's planning." Kat groaned, picking her up and carrying her under one arm. Alex knew as much as Kat did that when Twilight was thinking hard about something, she was impossible to budge.
"Where's Kronos?" She asked seconds later.
"He's still inbound, I think." Alex shrugged.
"For a fire god, you'd think he'd be faster." Blake lamented
"The last thing this story needs is a Deus Ex Machina. Cheap way to end it if you ask me." Moo added.
"F**k it. We're going in." Vanoss slammed the bolt on his assault rifle and charged out, screaming and firing at whatever he felt was necessary to shoot at.
"Evan! You still have limited lives, you dumbf**k!" Nogla ran out, the rest of their group following suit.
Alex looked back at Ruby, who had the stupidest, widest grin on her face he'd ever seen.
"What are you smiling about?" Vinyl wondered.
Ruby then broke into a fit of laughter.
"Squad goals." She simply stated.
Alex, Kat, and Mako couldn't help but groan at that statement alone.
"F**k sakes." Alex shook his head in disapproval.
"So, are we fighting now or are we just going to sit here and yell at Ruby for making a Twitter reference?" Rarity asked, obviously itching to get revenge on her wounded/dead friends.
"Alright fine, but I'm still court-martialing her after this crap is over." Alex relented, charging out behind with Vanoss's crew, along with the rest of Unity.
----
Celestia had finally left the conference room, settling on moving the entirety of their forces to Tranquility Complex in Kalos to assist the already-crippled crews of the carriers.
She channeled her mind directly to the spirit realm whilst sitting in a small, dark room.
The Alicorn's eyes shot open, pupils dilating as they adjusted to the sheer brightness of the spirit realm.
"Prophet! Where are you?" She called out.
Immediately, the white cloaked seer stalked out of the fog, casting a reproachful look at the Princess of the sun.
"Yes, Celestia?" She asked, showing the same amount of compassion as she had all those months ago, with a slight edge of concern in her voice.
"You told me that my people would be safe and that this problem in my kingdom would be taken care of!" Celestia yelled hopelessly at her,
"I only said if you did not interfere, that the problem would solve itself. We both know the choice you have made, Celestia. You've taken a course of action unbefitting of your otherwise caring nature by contacting the Inquisition." The spirit explained.
"I did not summon the Inquisitor." Celestia held back tensely.
"Celestia. We both know who really allowed Winchester to contact Sigma." The ethereal being spoke.
Celestia held her head in shame.
"Do not worry. Your forces will conquer the Rogue Guard. The deaths of your innocent citizens shall not be in vain. It has not been a fool's errand thus far.." The spirit summoned memories of Alex and Ruby killing the treacherous Iron Talon, and the destruction of the Knight's Myriad moments later.
"Tell me, spirit. Why have you allowed all of this to transpire? And furthermore, who are you?" Celestial demanded once more.
The spirit only smiled, and pulled it's hood tighter.
"You will understand soon... But now is not the time to converse with the dead.." The being replied.
White fog filled Celestia's vision once more, her eyes shot open, and she was back in the dark room she resided.
----
Alex threw a Red Star soldier off his back and into Crescent Rose's now blood-soaked blade. Ruby spun her weapon, dispersing and scattering the crimson drops around the battlefield.
Twilight slammed another soldier to the ground, pointing the man to her side, protecting her from MG fire as she ran for different cover. Vanoss noticed and pulled out a sniper rifle, pegging the machine gunner in the skull before pulling out a minigun and obliterating more Red Star.
Weiss summoned glyphs under Red Star soldiers and pulled them into view, where Kat could easily finish them off.
All around them, Coalition and Red Star alike shot each other and blew them to bits, be it from land or the skies above. Air squadrons from either side occasionally turned their attention to ground targets and annihilated them with brutal accuracy.
Mako slid under another Red Star soldier's leg and hacked it off before finishing him off and rolling into cover.
"Mako, darling! There are Red Star riot squadrons inbound! Do us all a favor and mark their position!" Rarity yelled, holding one at bay with a modified sewing needle.
Mako tossed a smoke grenade and pressed a button on her comms.
"Riot Squadron marked by red smoke, see what you can do!" She demanded.
'Roger, Atlesian Reaper Missiles inbound.' a pilot answered.
"Incoming!" Mako yelled, hiding beneath a destroyed Technical as missiles blew the riot squads apart.
Blake hacked apart another Red Star soldier, tossing him to the concrete.
"Traitor!"
Blake turned around, noticing the White Fang Lieutenant Weiss had encountered in a previous exploit.
He tugged sharply at the ignition for a chainsaw, holding it in front of him menacingly.
Blake herself prepared for a brutal clash with her ex-comrade, pointing the pistol components of her Gambol Shroud at him.
The lieutenant was blown aside by an RPG rocket, obviously Vanoss's doing.
The gamer-turned-soldier perked up suddenly upon noticing Blake scowling at him.
"Oh, sorry! Was he yours?!" He asked sarcastically, loading another rocket.
The Lieutenant leapt at him, enraged at his intrusion.
He narrowly avoided the chainsaw's blade by mere seconds. It embedded itself into the concrete below, giving Blake an opportunity to strike, leaping high in the air and severing his arm.
Vanoss then bombarded him with shotgun blasts, decimating large chunks of his Aura before Blake went in for a killing blow, leaping and hacking at his chest. He fell to the ground like a stone.
Blake panted in exhaustion, this battle would never seem to end.
"By the way, Evan?" She began.
"Hm?" Vanoss looked up.
"What should you be doing right now?" She asked, pointing at an armored vehicle that the other eight of Vanoss's friends were fighting.
The armored vehicle fired a multitude of shells, blowing up a number of his friends, most of whom respawned, that is, except for Terroriser and Moo Snuckel.
"NOOOOOO!" Delirious screamed.
"Evan! Get over here, you dick-cheese!!!" Wildcat yelled.
Vanoss ran to find more cover, sliding past the girl he saw from the camera store...
"Aw, shi-" Vanoss groaned as she kicked him onto his back.
She walked over to him, with a silver-haired kid roughly Yang's age went next to her.
"Where is she?" The boy demanded.
"Which 'she' are you talking about, 'cause there's like, a dozen girls here, not to mention a couple little horses-"
The boy grasped his neck as the girl pointed a blade at his neck.
"You're running out of time." The green-haired girl spat.
"Wait! I just realized who you were talking about-!!" Vanoss gasped, his hand reaching behind his back.
Both smiled, casting a glance towards one-another.
"If you tell us where Cinder is, we'll let you live.. For now." The boy informed.
"She's right... Here!" Vanoss kicked him in the crotch, pulled out a tracking beacon, and threw it at his chest before pulling out a Carbine Rifle and running off, firing numerous rounds at the pair.
"I marked an Inquisitor-looking motherf**ker, see what you can do!" He radioed into another pilot.
'Solid copy, launching a Death-bringer Missile at the marked location.' A pilot reported.
Vanoss kept running as fast as he could, eventually hearing a massive explosion behind him. The boy flew past Vanoss, slamming into a wall, somehow still intact.
"Y-You...." The boy gasped, clawing at the ground towards him. His legs were severed at the knee joint, and both legs were robotic about halfway up his thighs.
"Damn, son. You got taken out like a bitch." He mocked, pulling out a Heavy Revolver.
The boy gasped, coughing blood.
"E-Emerald!" He called weakly.
Vanoss stepped on his back, and held the revolver's barrel against the back of his head.
"Hey, you!" The girl, Emerald, yelled, somehow..multiplying herself?!
She split from two, to ten, to seemingly hundreds as she got closer and closer.
"Well, shit-.. Oh, wait." He fired the revolver in the direct middle of the crowd, and the clones disappeared in a flash.
The girl held an injured arm, still unfazed. The bullet hadn't made a noticeable mark.
"How the hell did you know where I was?" She asked before pulling out another sword.
"I've seen this shit in Black Ops 3. It's kinda on you since you ran in a straight line towards me."
Emerald blinked.
"What the hell is..?" She shook her head, "It doesn't matter. We're still taking your last few lives, as well as your friends' as well."
Vanoss pointed the revolver barrel down, shooting her little punk-ass friend in the head. His blood flew straight up and splattered onto Vanoss' pants legs.
Emerald looked shocked at what Vanoss had done to her partner in crime.
"Oh, come on! Don't act like you haven't done it either!" He mocked.
Her eyes grew bright with rage.
"W-Why you..." She gasped, her breathing ragged.
A grenade suddenly hit her, sending her flying into another building.
"We took care of the tank, you asshole!" Mini yelled.
The whole crew held Machine Guns, Grenade Launchers, RPGs, Miniguns, and the like as they ran in line with Vanoss.
"Right. You see that bitch that blew up?" He asked.
"Oh, yeah! That was me!" Delirious chuckled.
"We got this! FOR LUI!!!" Wildcat screamed.
"FOR LUI!!! FOR ARNOLD!!! FOR EARLY BIRD!!!" The rest of the, yelled, firing indiscriminately at the building, which was soon covered in a cloud of gunpowder-y smoke.
"How the f**k are we even doing this much damage?!" Nogla yelled.
"We're just that awesome, amigos!" Droidd yelled back.
Eventually, they had run out of ammo, and had to reload.
Emerald staggered towards them, clutching a wounded arm and spitting blood.
"You'll... You'll all pay for what you did..." She spluttered.
"You started it." Vanoss muttered as he pulled out a musket.
"Wow. Remember how you described what it's like to die by that thing?" Nogla asked, laughing.
"I can't even remember, I think it was like 'getting smacked in the face with a dick and dying', something along those lines." Vanoss shrugged.
Vanoss aimed for her head, his finger on the trigger.
"And... Kapooyah." Vanoss said, firing of the weapon.
Emerald fell over, a gaping hole in her head splattering blood everywhere as she finally hit the ground.
Yang suddenly landed next to Delirious, scaring the shit out of him... Literally.
"Hey! I heard there were Inquisitors here, where are they?" She asked.
"There's one asshole there," Terroriser pointed to the silver haired kid, "and Vanoss just 'Old Yeller'd' that other asshole right there." He pointed towards Emerald now.
Yang blinked.
"How the hell'd you even..?" Yang shook her head in disbelief.
"Bullets. And rockets, and grenades.." Basically explained.
"I launched a missile at 'Silver Bells' over there." Vanoss pointed to the other corpse.
"I'm...actually impressed..." Yang scratched the back of her head.
"Bad news is Moo and Terroriser finally bit the dust." Mini said.
Yang sighed.
"You'll make 'em all pay. You already killed those two." Yang reassured the group.
"It's a shame you cannot save yourself.." Someone else said.
Vanoss looked straight to his right to find the, unfortunately familiar, face of Rufio Vincent.
"Sit the f**k down!" Wildcat shot him with a marksman pistol.
Rufio suspended the bullet in the air and flung it right back at Yang. Hard.
He sent the rest of the crew flying backwards, suspending them as the Red Star ripped them apart. This time, Mini and Droidd stood suspended, never to respawn.
Yang staggered up, seeing two more of their crew dead, likely forever.
"Why you..!" She launched herself at the Inquisitor, who held her in the air for a period of time.
"I will not kill you, Yang Xiao Long... Not immediately." Rufio tightened his grip, choking the life out of Yang and depleting her Aura fast before finally decimating it, leaving her unable to heal for the remainder of the battle.
He finally drew out his blade, and pulled her towards him fast, slashing her in the side and leaving her there.
She clutched her side in agony, holding in her blood.
"You are young and strong. So I'll give you at least thirty minutes before you bleed out entirely."
"Y-You... Son of a b-bitch.." She gasped.
"Yang!!"
Rufio turned to find Twilight standing, wings extended, horn glowing bright purple, and eyes bright with fury.
Rufio let out a hearty laugh.
"We meet again, Sparkle Horse." He flung his weapon, flinging Yang's blood off of the blade.
"You won't get away with this alive!" She fired numerous bolts of her magic at Rufio, or rather, Gamma.
Alex fell in to assist, infuriated at his close friend's maiming at the hands of this scumbag wizard.
"And the golden boy wants some too!" Gamma mocked him.
"YOU WILL DIE WHERE YOU STAND!!!" Alex kicked him in the face while Twilight fired a flurry of spells at him.
"Take care of him! I'll get Yang out of here!" Alex ordered running off, firing a shot at Gamma's leg. While it did little more than anger Gamma, it felt good to at least try and pay him back for hurting her.
"Yang!" Alex yelled.
"Hold here!" She coughed, guiding his hand to a point above the cut.
He inspected the damage meticulously. Her Aura was all but destroyed, and the cut was practically gushing blood.
"Medic!!!" Alex ordered.
"Listen... Get... Get back out there." Yang demanded.
"Not until I'm sure you'll be fine!" Alex yelled back.
"I'll... I'll be fine..." She blinked.
"Not now, just rest!" He demanded.
A Ryder medical team ran to them, Ruby in tow.
"Oh, shit." Alex thought. Ruby shouldn't see this... She didn't deserve to..
"Yang!!" Ruby ran for her sister like a bullet.
"Ruby... Go... Go with Alex." She said as Ruby ripped off part of her already-tattered cape.
"Tie here." Alex pointed to the cut, moving his hand while still keeping pressure at that spot. Ruby quickly tied the cut, pulling the knot tight at the other side.
"Get her to safety! Make sure she lives!!" Alex ordered.
"Sir..." One of the medics gasped.
"I've been through worse! GET HER SOMEWHERE NOW!!" He yelled louder.
"Yes... Yes sir..." The medics lifted her onto a stretcher.
"W-Wait!!" Yang demanded.
The medics stopped dead in their tracks.
"Alex... Ruby... Come... Come here.." Yang coughed.
Both stepped close to their friend, or sister.
"L-Listen... You two... Vanoss... And Twilight... You... You have to defeat Alpha.. It's the only way.." She gasped.
"We'll kill the bastard, I-" Alex began.
Yang grasped Alex's arm.
"You have... To promise me you will.... Promise!!" She demanded.
Alex nodded.
"I swear on my life that I'll kill Alpha, and keep you all alive." Alex added.
Yang smiled weakly.
"That's what I wanna hear... Take.. Take these.." Yang detached Ember Celica off both of her arms, handing them to Alex, along with four extra belts of ammo.
"What are you doing?!" Ruby gasped. A huntress' weapon was theirs alone! What was she doing?!
"I.. I can't accept this." Alex stuttered.
"It's.. Not like... I need them right now..." Yang coughed, "Just give those back... When you're done..."
Alex nodded, surprise still overwhelming him.
"J-Just go.. Go!" Alex ordered, voice still raw with shock.
He looked back at Ruby, who Alex suspected had mirrored his own reaction.
"Look... I don't get it either.. I could take them if you-" Ruby began.
"Get to your teammates, Ruby," Alex ordered.
"What?" She asked.
"Weiss and Blake probably have their hands full out there!! Just go!!!" He yelled.
As Ruby looked at Alex, she saw the same fire in his eyes as her sister's. The two were uncannily similar, now that she thought about it.
"Ruby! Where should you be right now?!" He ordered again.
"M-My teammates..?"
"YOUR TEAMMATES! THEY NEED YOU NOW MORE THAN EVER!! GO NOW!!!" Alex screamed.
Ruby nodded, speeding away like a bullet.
Alex looked at his mentor's, his friend's, weapons, eyebrow's furrowed.
"What the hell is she thinking, lending me these?" Alex pondered to himself, hands shaking. He respected her, yes... And maybe even...
"AAARGH!!! Why the F**K AM I STILL THINKING?!" He shook more violently.
Memories flashed through his mind, of their first meeting... Their secret mission... The hours spent training... Seeing her come back on the ship... And that moment in the break room...
Alex's mind snapped in realization.
"Dammit." Alex groaned, ripping off his Suit's standard gauntlets and replacing them with Yang's weapons. There was still work to do. If he recalled, Twilight was still dealing with Gamma...
----
Twilight evaded another deadly blast from Gamma's fingertips, firing one of her own and flying into cover.
Vanoss and his remaining friends kept shooting at Gamma, at least four of them at a time.
"Get F**KED!!" Wildcat yelled, firing his Assault Shotgun relentlessly.
Rarity herself was also in the fray, launching sewing needles at him. He dodged most of them, but at least 10 sunk into his arm. He recoiled, firing another blast at the unicorn.
"Got your back, white horse!" Nogla shoved her aside, shooting an AP Pistol at their enemy.
"Twilight, I'd run if I were you!" Vanoss yelled.
Twilight nodded, flying away as the entire crew bombarded the Inquisitor with their last couple RPGs.
She took cover at a roof, hoping to get a chance to breathe. Her hopes were eventually dashed aside as a brigade of Red Star jets flew in towards her.
She recoiled, using her wings to shield most of her vital organs.
'TWILIGHT.' a loud, booming, voice called to her from what seemed like her own head.
"W-Who-?" She gasped.
She suddenly felt powerful, more powerful than when she absorbed the Princesses' energies from when Tirek was still terrorizing Equestria.
She suddenly realized just who was speaking.
"K-Kronus?!" She gasped.
Her horn began acting by itself, spewing her magic, as well as what appeared to be pure, elemental fire magic. The brigade's individual planes eventually exploded, one by one, until there was little left but smoke.
"Child. Your bravery and faith in your comrades is commendable. So much so that I will allow you to wield my power until the battle has ended. Due to certain complications, I cannot appear before you. But I assure you. I am here." Kronos said to her.
"T-Thank you..." She bowed.
"Sparkle!!" Gamma yelled again.
Twilight looked down at him, only to find her adversary completely horrified.
"T-Those markings on your coat!! Kronos is here?!" He gasped.
Twilight looked to herself to find that her coat had darkened into an ash-ier shade of purple, that is, save for the orange, flame-shaped marks scattered all over her. Her wings had also become pure flame at the end. A quick look in a mirror she summoned had shown that her eyes had also changed color. Her irises were orange at the outermost.
She flew at him fast. Firing spells, bucking, throwing him to the air, anything she could to damage him.
It seemed to be working, with each attack, Gamma's magical energy depleted more and more. She just needed one final blow..
She bucked him aside, charging her horn for a very famous, very specific, attack.
"What are you doing?!" Basically backed away, fast.
"FIRES OF KRONUS!!!!"
The blast was immense, so much that her whole view had been covered in elemental fire magic, she could feel the spell's heat against her, and a part of her enjoyed it..
When the spell had lifted, Gamma had completely vanished, as well as most of the buildings in that path... Thank Celestia they were facing away from the rest of the complex, otherwise her friends likely would've suffered the same fate as her opponent's.
"What the hell was that?! And who are you?!" Delirious gasped.
"It's me, Twilight!" She yelled.
"Twilight? You look kinda different... Did you lose weight?" Basically asked.
Twilight face-hoofed in response.
"Maybe Kronus actually did show up, but he's actually giving power to Twilight.." Delirious figured.
"How did you know that?" Twilight asked.
"My name might be Delirious, but I'm not a dumbass." He replied.
"I dunno, man. Years of experience is saying something else.." Vanoss joked.
"Oh, f**k you!" Delirious retorted.
The whole group found Alex running as fast as he could to them.
"Where the hell is Gamm- WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED HERE?!" Alex screamed upon noticing the path of scorched earth trailing as far as the Ocean.
"Oh, hey Alex!" Wildcat waved.
"Where were you, Darling? And why are you wearing Ms. Xiao Long's Gauntlets?" Rarity asked.
"Oh, shit. He is!" Vanoss noticed.
Kat and Mako walked up to the group, with Vinyl in tow.
"Wait, Alex is wearing Yang's gauntlets?" Mako wondered.
"Aww!!! That's so sweet!!" Kat smiled brightly at him.
Alex groaned, this time, he was 101% sure he was done with all of this.
"Later. But first, tell me what's up with your coat, Twi? Byzantium is a good color on you." Alex wondered.
"Kronus gave me his power for the battle. I guess it changes my coat the same way Rainbow Power does." She shrugged.
"I'm sorry, Rainbow Power?" Wildcat broke out laughing.
"Don't laugh! Magic Energy is a serious business!" Twilight scolded.
"Aside from whatever Tyler was implying, why are you wearing Yang's Gauntlets?" Nogla asked.
"She was wounded by Gamma when you guys got separated. I got her out of there, and... She gave me these..." Alex looked at Yang's signature weapons again.
"How romantic!!" Rarity swooned.
Alex sighed, annoyed.
"Oh, please, Darling. Anyone with a brainstem could see the chemistry you two-" Rarity continued until Alex sent a threatening glance at her direction.
Ruby, Weiss, and Blake eventually made their way to the group.
"I thought there were more of you guys." Blake scratched her head curiously.
"Dead." Vanoss spat.
"What?!" Weiss gasped, sympathetically.
The intercoms around the base suddenly screeched.
"Who?" Vanoss wondered.
"Alpha." Alex realized.
"Members of the Equestrian-Remnant Coalition! Are you ready to meet your fate? Are you ready to fade out like your predecessors on Kalos Ultra? It is no secret what you intend to do with the base after you have conquered it. I almost applaud your instant need to use a 'Scortched Earth' tactic, but we've beaten you to the punch yet again." Alpha scathingly explained.
"Oh, no.." Twilight gasped.
"The hell?" Alex wondered.
"I have been working on a personal project on the island for the past few years called a 'Flux Generator', A device with the power to move this entire Island, Fortress, City and all, to any location in space and time. Unfortunately for both of us, it is not yet complete, but I still have some use for it. I believe you're all familiar with faulty dimensional transporters. For those who do not yet understand, an unfinished transporter of this magnitude will open cracks in the dimension, causing whomever finds themselves inside one to end up in any random universe due to the unstable nature of the unfinished device. Within an hour of it's use, it will become a singularity, A black hole, if you will." Alpha explained.
"Is he insane?!" Rarity gasped.
"Alpha's going to kill us all!" Ruby gasped.
"If you are going to stop me, Descendants, I suggest you get on with it. If you can." The intercom screeched, before growing uneasily silent.
"Alex... Wha-?" Rarity turned to Alex.
"We have to go, Now!" Alex yelled.
Suddenly, the ground around them shook as deep violet cracks appeared on the ground, in midair, on the sides of buildings, everywhere.
"We have to get out of here!" Delirious screamed, running for a crack.
"Are you out of your mind?! He said any random dimension! It might not have oxygen!" Twilight yelled, pulling at her friend.
"If anyone has a plan, they better get to it!" Blake yelled, seeing more cracks spawn in.
Another, bright white crack apparated directly in front of them.
'Come inside, children. You will be safe in here.' a voice reassured them.
Alex turned to the rest of the group.
"Anyone agreeing with this one?" Alex asked.
"I... Don't know about this one.. I'm not leaving Yang behind!" Ruby yelled.
"We can't turn back our friends." Twilight assured.
"I am with Twilight and Ruby on this one. Applejack and Yang would not leave us behind. Especially not now." Rarity said.
"I'm kinda with them, Alex.. We can't be sure where this will end up.." Vanoss rubbed the back of his neck nervously.
Alex turned back to the white crack.
'This will only take a minute.. We will lead you to the fortress after..' The voice beckoned..
Alex looked on, uncertain. On one hand, he knew he needed to stand by his friends, but on the other hand... He wasn't sure...
'There is little time. The Descendants at least should speak... We will lead you to Alpha..'
"Vanoss, Ruby, Twilight?" Alex turned to them. He knew exactly who they meant.
"No way, man! I'm not going anywhere near that shady-ass portal!" Vanoss yelled.
"We need to stay out here and help!" Twilight assured.
"I... I don't know... It seems like the quickest path to Alpha.. Maybe we can shut down the generator and stop this..." Ruby wondered.

"I should probably go too...." Twilight sighed.
"F**k it. You guys are good. I'm going too. Besides, we might be able to end this shit now." Vanoss begrudgingly groaned.
"Ruby..!" Weiss yelled.
Ruby turned to her teammates and friends.
"Just... Make sure you give Alpha one from us, got it?" Blake asked.
"Ah, fock it. We don't always need you for success on our channels." Nogla shrugged.
"Twilight... Do be careful." Rarity demanded.
"I 'Pinkie Promise'. Cross my heart and hope to fly, stick a cupcake in my eye!" Twilight answered, repeating the motions.
"Mako, you have the most experience as a leader. You'll have to keep most of them alive. Got it?" Alex asked her.
"No problem. I don't think I even need to ask the same." Mako nodded.
"Alright... Let's get moving." Alex nodded.
