She turns her attention to the priests who are watching and the head of the church. Around them are news crews and leaders who came to watch the chosen one save the world by convincing their goddess to save it. Plant life all over the world is dying and the the air is becoming poison, their only hope is in their goddess who has long since given up on them. But she decided to give them one chance to prove her wrong with a chosen one to show her that the world is worth saving.

“I gave you one chance to prove me wrong that, you people deserve another chance. But this, the one who I personally mark to be the one to show me that, I’m wrong. The… only… chance… you… had… one,” Celestia said staring down at the head of the church.

She made screens appear in the sky all showing the young man since childhood being beaten and having the dogma beaten into him. Starved till he submitted to the priests and priestesses wills. They train him to only think and breathe the dogma of their faith. “

“One chance and you fucks went and ruin it. He isn’t the chosen one, he’s a parrot to you faith, disgusting,” Celestia said.

“My goddess he’s the prefect chosen one,” the head priest said.

“No he’s not, he never had a choice. Anytime he question the lies your faith tells that is my will. He doesn’t love me or this world, you and your church force him to give false love. He doesn’t love anything, he just does it to stop your people from beating him,” Celestia said.

“But he’s completely loyal to you,” the priest said.

“No he’s loyal to your church and faith,” Celestia said as she made the first holy book of the faith appear in front of the chosen one on a table.

“That’s the first book,” the chosen one said.

“Yes it is,” Celestia said as she made a fire pit appear next to the chosen on. “Burn the book.”

“My goddess,” the chosen one ask.

“Burn the book, and I might just give this world a chance,” Celestia said.

“Burn the… holy… book…?” the chosen one ask as a screen behind him showed him being trained to never allow any holy book to be damaged.

“Yes burn it,” Celestia said.

“No…. No… No!” the chosen one said kicking the fire pit over and grabbing the book holding it close to his body with a craze look on his face.”YOU'RE NOT THE GODDESS, YOU'RE A DEMON!”

“You train him well, a beaten dog who can’t think for himself. I will not save this world and once you’re all gone I can start over,” Celestia said as she disappears.

”I saved the book,” the chosen one said his face still in the crazed look as he holds out the holy book to the head priest.

The chosen one was punch by the head priest followed by him choking the young man for damning them all to death. The chosen one was beaten with all of his bones broken and was covered in oil. The useless book placed on his chest as he was lit on fire. With the chosen one screaming that he did as he was told to always protect the holy books and that anyone who damages them is a demon.

The world died slowly as the church was destroyed and followers left in mass. All because the chosen one was thought to believe in the belief of the faith, and not the one the faith follows. (1)

Celestia looks at the soul of the chosen one in disgust. She has it dump into the recycling machine where the souls that come out wrong or are just too old, or she just find’s disgusting is toss in where a new soul is made. She turns to her mortal counterpart who came to her universe looking for her Sunset.

“So what is it like being me?” goddess Celestia asked.

“Exhausting,” Celestia said having taken over for her goddess self and being able to use some god powers to handle the tasks in the to do pile.

“Yes, being the top means lots of responsibilities,” goddess Celestia said.

“Are you going to start a new planet?” Celestia ask.

“Yes and this time, I try another race,” goddess Celestia said.

“Some worlds I have visited has a nice world. But it’s nothing without Sunset,” Celestia said.

“This will take you to where you can find Sunset. Maybe, I try having my own Sunset,” goddess Celestia said handing her mortal self the portal device that will send her to where her Sunset is.

“Don’t make my mistake with her,” Celestia said using the portal and stepping thought.

1 - This is what happens when someone only believes in the belief of a god. Where even when the god of the faith is base around tells the believer to burn the holy book of the faith. They just doubles down and will tell the god to their face that they’re not their god and must be a demon. As they refuse to accept that the belief they either believe in or raised to, is the only truth and nothing else.
