"So you finally came to me, after all these years," Sunset said to a much older Lisa Simpson.
"I heard you're opening a factory here and I'm looking for a better job," Lisa said who came to the site where a new factory is being built and ran into Sunset who owns the factory.
After college Lisa continued to work at the burger place for years. Trying to find a better job but because of how widespread her name had become, with her being against just about everything. The videos of her marching with a sigh that had 'No Fun Allowed' on it didn't help her image, resulting in her being not hired over and over again. Forcing her to continue to work at the burger place, which she only allowed to keep because of Bart being the owner.
It pains her that Bart is doing better then her. He hadn't gone to college like her but went into the weed business and did very well for himself. He told her that he never did well because of her always being the center of attention when they were kids. He had gone and ruin himself when he wanted to be a cop for her and not once since then has she had ever done anything for him that was made it worth him losing that path of being a success. (1)
Which she haven't done anything of worth in her life proves it. And the only reason why he's letting her keep her job, is because when he brought the burger place he didn't know she was working there, he just takes pleasure knowing that while he's living a good life she's stuck working a job that has her grinding meat for a living. (2)
"And why should, I give you a job here? It's a slaughter house, where the leftover meat is made into pink goop that's used as meat flavoring and filler," Sunset said. "You are a vegetarian after all, even if the meat here is made from the leftovers from other plants, you be protesting outside calling it murder. Only caring about yourself, not caring about what happens to all of those workers who be affected by a factory closing down, or what happens to all the farm animals who are bred for their meat, what happens to all of them? No as long as you're not the one who has to deal with what happens when the farm animals can't be sold for their meat, what to do with all of them. Do you even realize that the ethical food you want everyone to eat no matter what, it was also far more unhealthy than red meat. Plant-based foods that are heavily processed to resemble or replace meat is just as bad or even worse than eating real meat and it's damaging your body simply for the sake of the environment. Which is ok when you choose to do it, but you're the kid in school who will resort to forcing everyone in school to convert to a healthier more organic diet instead of actually packing their lunch themselves. Because it's all about you."
"What do you want me to say?" Lisa asked lost for words thanks to years of working in a job she hates.
"I want you to admit that it’s not about meat. You’re actually just a narcissist and a contrarian, and being a vegetarian is about setting yourself apart in order to feel superior to the rest of us. It's always been that, since I first met you. You don't care about any of the causes you protest for. You care about making yourself feel superior, and special to escape your miserable life you made for yourself. I'm superior and special for unlike you, I actually did something with my life, I'm businesswoman and use my money to help causes. While you on the other hand, have done nothing with your life that would have any lasting effects. I'm going to have an impact on life for generations to come, while you on the other hand have nothing to show all those years of standing on a soap box till you finally had to support yourself and get a job," Sunset said. "It's true, I wasted everything, I was given for things that don't matter at all in the long run. My pride is completely worthless," Lisa said.
"Wow being beaten by the realities of living on your own and taking full responsibilities for yourself has really changed you," Sunset said surprised.
"Yes it has and it's time for me to turn my life around," Lisa said smiling.
"Too bad it took you till you're in your 60's to do it," Sunset said who is 60 herself but took much better care of herself then Lisa did.
"I know," Lisa said sadly. (4)
