The Rise of The Changelings
Chapter 5: Hay Stable
Previous Chapter Next ChapterAuthor's Notes:
Just a little little background on an important OC, reading is advised but not mandatory.
What is there to say on Hay Stable? Seriously, he grew up in Saddle Arabia and spent a lot of time with the zebras like the rest of his village. I suppose he was the son of governor and received private education. Okay, so he's rather important he's just not my favorite. He was also regent to the young ruler of Saddle Arabia and if unfortunate tightenings were to befall upon that ruler, Hay Stable would probably inherit all Saddle Arabia. Something bad did happen to that ruler but I'm getting ahead of myself. His rule would've been easy one at that. He had few enemies, political ones at least. Only some extremists reject him for his more progressive but balanced thinking. However, the disaster stuck, leaving little behind. He led many survivors to his private land. He calmed to reinvent the fallen nation. He called his band of survivors "Hayiopia". Hayiopia, really? Here I thought Mt. Kaisash was a stupid name (at least spellcheck dose). I wonder how that conversation went...
"Sir?"
"Yes?"
"Have you came up with a name for the group yet?"
"You know, I have, now that you mentioned it."
"Oh, what is it?"
"'Hayiopia' is perfect! It carries my legacy and says what it is, a utopia."
"Hayiopia?"
"Yes!"
"...Hayiopia?"
"HEY! That's what I'm calling it!"
"Sir I must-"
"Silence!"
"Sir-"
"Quite!"
Oh, that's how.
Laughs and giggles aside, Hay Stable's is a fairly tall earth pony who is a little dark green and has a charcoal black mane and tail. His mane, is kept short and flares out. He also has a full medium length beard. His eye irises are a light brown. He wears a military uniform which is a darker shade of green than his coat. He speaks with a firm, authoritative voice. His cutie mark is is of two scrolls on either side of a justice scale.
"So, we're not alone."
"No sir, the scouts say they were dissuaded to go west, whatever it is their hiding must be of some importance."
"Maybe so, but it would be unwise to take hostile action, we may only bolster our defences, that is all."
"Yes sir."
It won't be easy.
