It was a   quiet week, just kicking back and relaxing, having Luna around was a bonus because she can wise crack vagainst celestia without trouble, giving us a good laugh now and then, the others got used to their exoskeletons better and had fun with then, pitting one against another in different things like a modified form of football, which I taught them.

After a whole week of doing nothing important we started to get ansy and wanted to do something important, so it was a good thing that we got word of a attack when we did.

It was a quiet morning, I had just gotten back from grazing when we hear a knock on the large door in the antechamber, which I hadn't even been in before, and were greeted by about a dozen royal soldiers, all in their uniforms and armour, and all frantically talking.

"Your majesty, we have received Intel that the entire elkondrian army is going to attack the southern shores, we came as soon as we heard", soys the one that I think is head guard, he has more medals than the rest, " if true we will have to be ready, elements go and prepare, guards your welcome to reside here until the attack" replies celestia, looking slightly distressed.

The guards entered the castle, about ten of them I think, not a dozen, boy they were surprised to see me pop out of a picture.

I pop into the cnormal world through a tapestry right in front of them, landing on my side because I didn't plan the exit properly, they guards took a step back and stared at me, trying to figure out what happened, but before they could ask celestia scolds me.

"Tesla, we have to prepare, stop goofing off and get to work?" She says, eyeing me from the corner of her eye as I stand up, so I go and pack for a epic battle.

By a hour later I was packed and prepared for just about anything, well anything I needed to fight anyway, two electromatter swords, nine electromatter shurikens, full electromatter armour, and to top it off a dose of the hyper potion I had made a couple days back during some free time, which when used would allow me to move as fast as electricity, so about ninety percent the speed of light.

"Everyone ready?" Celestia asks us, "as ready as well ever be" replies twilight, looking kinda uncomfortable in her armour, "then gather around, you to guards", celestia instructs, Luna sticking close to her, and with a pop we were off.

I landed somewhere far away from the rest, so far I could see the entire continent, yes I had landed in space, and without control I was hurtling towards ground, and I struck with extreme force.

For once I didn't pass out with the team, but I was totally ,awake as I hit the ground, forming a nice crater, and to top it off I had landed in the middle of our group.

" what in the name of Celestias fuck just happened?" I hear twilight say, "if my fuck had a name it would be strange, watch your language, but what was that?" I hear celestia say, "I don't give a fuck what it was, that hurt!" I hear rarity say, and one by one they appear around the ring of my crater, looking down on me as I struggled to get back up, "whoops!" I hear from celestia, and I was finally able to get up.

"I landed in space, good job"I say, pulling myself to my hooves and flying out of the crater, " well im sorry, but your energy signature is so strong I can't control it." Celestia replies, not looking sorry at all, "fine, lets just get prepared then" I say, making sure my stuff wasn't  damaged by the impact.

I was steaming about being teleported into space for about a hour, but when pinkie stuck her head into a golfer hole and got covered in spiders it cheered me up, we were about a mile or so away from the coast and I could see the shapes of atleast fifty massive ships, in our normal battles there was only two or three, so I knew this was going to be a epic fight.

I had moved out onto a large boulder that was a ways away from where our campsite was going to be for the night, the battle in the morning, when celestia comes up besides means speaks.

"Tesla, if your still mad at me for screwing up the teleportation spell I understand, but I need you to say some good byes before the battle." Celestia says, her voice low and sounding kinda sad, "what do you mean?" I ask, not understanding her, "I had a dream, you are going to die tomorrow, I just want you to have a final moment of joy" she replies, looking more sad by the moment, " I'm going to die!?!?" I say, in a state of shock, "yes, simply put, and its on a scroll I found in the catacomb, it reads that the power of destruction with be no more, he will die in battle to save this land, these ideas, these freinds and loved ones" she says, starting to cry, so I get off the rock and go with celestia to say my goodbyes.

When we walk into the camp they knew something cwas wrong when they saw celestia crying, and as twilight starts to ask what's wrong I hug her, silencing her instantly, I let go and hug fluttershy, then applejack, then rarity, then pinkie, then finally dashie, and as I do so I break out in tears, not wanting to let go, but I force myself to be strong, not wanting to have doubts or other thoughts than fighting for equestria, fighting for the right, so I speak.

"I'm going to die tomorrow, I want you all to know I love each of you in special ways, when I first landed here I was afraid, scared, and confused, but you took me in, made me a element, if you hadn't I would've died sooner, for that I thank all of you, and as my ultimate thank you I will give my life for this country, for what it stands for, for the good that resides here," with this I leave, headed for the rock celestia had talked to me on, and from behind me I could hear commotion, celestia in the middle of it, trying to explain, but I tuned them out while I watched the sun set fade into the darkness of space.

"Tesla?, Tesla?, wake up" I hear, I must have fallen asleep on the rock because applejack was next to me, waking me up, the sun was about to rise and I could see the ships were going to make landfall soon, so I walked back to the campsite, a eary silence was the only thing in the air.

As I entered the campsite I didn't make eye contact, nor did I speak, I grabbed my weapons and went to leave, but right as I start to leave I was tackled forcibly to the ground by a crying dashie.

"Tesla, please don't die, please please please don't die" dashie says between sobs, her tears running down her cheeks and dripping off her chin, "hush now, hush, don't worry, if I do die I'll be in a better place, hush, everything will be OK" I say, trying to calm her down, but only calming need a little bit, mostly from my hug, reassuring her everything will be fine, and as I stand up to leave celestia speaks.

"Tesla, saying you do die, how do you wish to be buried?", celestia asks me, almost in tears, "simple wooden box, no decoration, no headstone" I say, turning to leave, but not before dashie got in another hug.

I was now in the meadow that overlooked the beach, watching the ships approach shore, my elemental necklace on, waiting for the others to put theirs on. They were about a hundred yards down from me and they didn't know where I was at, I watched them put theirs on and I stepped farther into the woods so I wasn't spotted as I changed, going elemental for the last time.

I felt power like I had never felt before flood through my body, activating every ability I had, even ones I didn't know about, like camouflage, courtesy of discords power, which I gained when I killed him, and I was about to make use of both his power of chaos and mine of destruction to take on this army.

I had taken off all my armour, the faster I could move the better, nothing but my weapons strapped to me and my wits to help me.

It seemed like forever until the first ship made landfall, its thousands of occupants rushing out, I was the first on the scene, cutting and dicing elkondrian flesh with my swords, frying it with lightning, ripping it apart with pure rage.

It happened so fast, before I could even comprehend it thousands of elkondrian bodies lay on the ground, one huge mess of blood and gore, the others hadn't even gotten half way there and I had already wiped out its passengers, but I couldn't rest, eight even larger ships were landing.

I don't remember what happened for the next thirty minutes to well, just being soaked in blood, blades flashing, screams of dying equestrians haunting me as I tore them apart,then I got struck.

It's so clear, I was hit in the shoulder blade by a javelin of sorts, ripping it out of my flesh and sending it back where it came from, seeing it had impaled nine elkondrians in a shish ka Bob, then getting struck again minutes later by a  elkondrian sword, it slashing me while I was swarmed by elkondrians, killing thousands of elkondrians a minute out of rage and pain, then the third strike, into my side, cutting my arteries along my heart,killing more elkondrians before I was finished off by a javelin to the heart.

I don't understand it fully, but I could see my body, full of holes, a javelin going through my entire side and poking out the other, the cuts from swords, lying there, motionless.

I see twilight spotting my body, holding me tight then in a poof my body was gone, twilight shed a single tear before she rejoined the fight, striking with renewed vengeance.

I watched the fight take place, my mind not completely functioning because I knew I was dead, but here I was, watching the battle, when it hit me: I was a ghost.

My mind went into a feedback loop while I watched the other elements drive the elkondrians back, it went:ghosts are not real, yet I am a ghost, ghosts are not real, yet I am a ghost, I just shut down my mind while I watched so I didn't blow my mind.

I watched the battle as the elements drove the elkondrian army back until they retreated, ships leaving the shore quickly, but there was no celebration.

I stood next to dashie as they regrouped on the shore, heads down and mood somber, dashie was crying, sobbing at my loss, celestia was silently shedding tears, the rest were grimfaced, trying not to show emotion, failing as the occasional tear rolled down from their eyes.

They silently gathered around as they prepared to teleport back to the castle, I gathered around, hoping to go back with them, but when they disapeared with a pop and I was left  alone I knew this was going to be a long flight home.

I arrived at the castle after about two hours of flying, and was met with a saddening scene, celestia and Luna were nowhere in sight, applejack had her hat pulled down covering her face,but I could see tears getting the lining of the hat, twilight was in the corner, sobbing slightly, pinkie was lying face flat on the floor,tears wetting the tile, rarity was trying to hide her emotions with liqour, a bottle of something similar to vodka next to her as she slept, the bottle was empty so she was heavily intoxicated, fluttershy was similarly passed out, curled up with one of her rabbits, and then there was dashie, crying her eyes out in her room, sobbing heavily, so heavily I thought she might pass out from lack of breathing, but she managed to stay conscious with the little breath and took, so I sat next to her, wishing she could see me.

After about twenty minutes dashie must have cried herself out because she went into her room and came out with a bottle of the stuff rarity had drunk, quickly drinking herself to sleep.

I sat next to her, wishing I could fall asleep to but it seemed that ghosts don't sleep, so there I sat, stroking the outline of dashies mane, although my hoof could pass right through her flesh like air, but it grave me time to think about my predicament, mostly about what's it going to be like to be a ghost forever.
