Fluttershy was busy humming while she was gathering flowers for Princess Celestia's CASUAL visit to Ponyville. It was then that the esteemed animal Pegasus encountered what she thought was one of the most adorable creatures she had ever seen... okay then... This creature was a Parasprite.

Oooo! Sprite! I love lemon-lime soda! It goes great in cakes! Oh Fluttershy is going to regret that~

Fluttershy then took care of said Parasprite. She offered the Parasprite an apple from the bucket that she got from Applejack earlier. The Parasprite immediately gobbled down the apple, then proceeded to eat all the apples in the bucket.

"Oh... my..." Fluttershy could only comment, "I should show you to my friends!"

Theme.

Twilight Sparkle. Yes, that unicorn. She was busy cleaning up the library with her drakefriend's assistance. She was having a good time having him by her side while spiffying up the place for Celestia's arrival... well until she was getting too preoccupied with thoughts of making sure everypony else was doing a good job as well... at that point she just made Spike do all the cleaning of the library. Luckily as Twilight was leaving, Apple Bloom came into the library originally having the intent to help Twilight and Spike since... she had nothing better to do that day with all her friends being busy. She saw Spike struggling with the huge workload he was tasked with. Of course the little filly jumped right in to help the poor drake. Meanwhile, Twilight then went outside to check on the other ponies' preparations. Apparently one of the said decorations was a banner that said "Welcome Princess Celest".

When asked about why in their right mind they would put up an incomplete banner for the princess, they responded, "We couldn't fit it all in."

Twilight made a comment on how everything needed to be in tip-top shape for the visit and then essentially demanded for them to fix it. She then checked up on Sugarcube Corner. It was there that Pinkie Pie was apparently chowing down on cakes that were meant for the Princess. The Cakes were not so happy about such Pinkie-ness going on in their bakery.

Luckily while Twilight and Pinkie Pie were having a chat about NOT eating Celestia's oh so precious cakes, Fluttershy came in with the Parasprite. Correction, there wasn't just one Parasprite, but three. Apparently Twilight, wanted to keep one despite not knowing what it is... being overcome with its... cute powers... Unlike a Prime Universe Pinkie Pie who was focused on finding a trombone, Pinkie Pie went on a full rant on why Parasprites are bad and why she needed to find a trombone. Apparently Twilight and Fluttershy were to occupied with the cuteness of the Parasprites to even care about Pinkie Pie's actually for once logical ranting. Pinkie Pie just pouted and felt one of her Pinkie Senses that directed her to the Golden Oaks Library of all places.

Why would my sense lead me here... *GASP* Spike's here with Apple Bloom! So cute! *squee* What's that Pinkie Sense? Chat with them about the Parasprites? Oh... Okie Dokie Lokie!

So chat Pinkie Pie did, being sure not to leave out any detail about Parasprites since she was one of the ponies who actually had experienced a Parasprite infestation first hand on the rock farm she used to live on. Apple Bloom and Spike of course wanted some level of proof to know if what she said was true. All Pinkie Pie could think of is if they saw the Parasprites multiply or destroy crops. The young drake and filly agreed to those terms for when they would actually start helping Pinkie Pie.

Meanwhile, Fluttershy and Twilight went to check up on Rarity and her outfit making... since apparently that's needed for Celestia's visit. What they didn't expect though was the one modeling for the dresses. It was none other than... RAINBOW DASH! (*Dun dun dun*) Apparently Rainbow Dash lost a bet with Rarity and so had to model for her. When Rarity and Rainbow Dash saw the Parasprites, yes plural, that Twilight and Fluttershy had they immediately fell under the cute spell as well. Applejack trotted in with a delivery of apples for Rarity who ordered some for a sweet apple pie that she was going to bake later. Of course, the farm pony also fell under the spell and grabbed a Parasprite as well. Poor Pinkie Pie who just trotted in couldn't get the 5 of her friends' attention and just gave up with her ears folded back.

Later into the night, when all of the 5 took their Parasprites home, at Twilight's place which was now spotless, Apple Bloom having gone home after a nice day with Spike, Twilight sighed contentedly at Spike and Apple Bloom's good work. The Parasprite was sleeping in Spike's old bed since he now sleeps with Twilight... as in... not that. The content unicorn then climbed into bed with her already sleeping drake and cuddled up with him and dozed off, hoping that the next day would be very good... everypony knows what those words mean.

Transition to the next day.

Twilight awoke. Wake up she did. She was quite refreshed from that sleep and nice cuddle with Spike. She opened her eyes.

Immediately she said, "NOPE!" and went back under the sheets for a while.

Now why is that? What would make a Unicorn like Twilight Sparkle who is the protege of the Princess immediately cower from her own home's interior? Well esteemed reader, if one were to look very closely at this library down to the detail... one would see that every single book is out of place and all the furniture is toppled over.

Twilight decided to confront what she thought and gave herself a pinch to make sure she wasn't dreaming. She wasn't dreaming in the slightest since that pinch definitely hurt. There were Parasprites everywhere. Apparently Spike had already left the library. Twilight already knew Spike wouldn't do any damage due to the fact that the Parasprites got into the refrigerator and ate everything which is probably the cause that they multiplied like so.

Now, dear reader, it is time to look at what Spike is doing, well to be more specific, what Apple Bloom and Spike are doing. Spike and Apple Bloom both immediately ran to Pinkie Pie when they saw what was going on in their homes with all the Parasprites that multiplied and devoured the food in their places. (A similar situation as described above took place at Sweet Apple Acres with Apple Bloom and Applejack.) They had the proof they needed at this point to trust Pinkie Pie with her plan. They weren't held back by Applejack or Twilight since they were earlier risers than their older friends (surprisingly). They found Pinkie Pie in Sugarcube Corner in a tactical outfit.

"So, I see you have arrived Privates Apple Bloom and Spike," Pinkie Pie seriously spoke.

Apple Bloom and Spike decided not to question Pinkie Pie. One never questions Pinkie Pie.

"Alright Captain Pinkie Pie, what do you want us to do?" Spike spoke.

Pinkie blushed a little bit at how Spike was just playing along.

*squee* Isn't he dreamy? FOCUS CAPTAIN. You got this! It's good to know that certain ponies trust my word, especially Apple Bloom and him~

"Alright you two, the plan of attack, we gather up all the brass, wind, and percussion instruments we can find and we put on a 3 pony... errr 2 pony and drake show for the Parasprites and have them follow us back into the Everfree Forest!" Pinkie explained quite simply which was a first. Pinkie Pie knew the town was in danger so she didn't beat around the bush like her normal attitude would be. This was not unnoticed by Apple Bloom and Spike.

Never seen Pinkie Pie take things this seriously, but I like how she knows when enough is enough.

I like this side of Pinkie Pie, it shows that even for a fun filled pony, she still uses her knowledge to help others when in times of danger. Oh Spike, take it easy. Your Harem is getting quite sizeable... ok having that pink party pony wouldn't be bad... FOCUS, Spike.

"RIGHT ON IT CAPTAIN PINKIE PIE," both Apple Bloom and Spike saluted their leader and ran right out of Sugarcube Corner to start collecting instruments.

"Ummmm guys? I have most of the instruments... right... here... nevermind," Pinkie called out.

Maybe you should have said that first Pinkie... oh wells, at least I know they are serious about it.

Moving back to the destruction at Twilight's house now, the rest of the Mane 6 other than Pinkie Pie all showed up at the library and had their suspicions that it was the Parasprites all confirmed when they saw the similar destruction.

"My gowns have been ruined!" Rarity wailed. (The gowns were knocked over and wrinkled, NOT eaten.)

"These things don't know personal space!" Rainbow complained.

"They ate mah apples!" Applejack... well duh...

"Oh... my... house... kinda got flooded with them... I'm sorry girls, I really am!" Fluttershy squeaked.

Twilight knew it wasn't Fluttershy's fault for not knowing that was the Parasprite's nature.

"Don't worry about it my fellow companion, I know you didn't intend for this to happen, but still we have to fix it, so who's with me?" Twilight spoke.

Of course all the ponies unanimously agreed.

"So, Fluttershy, can you talk to them since they are animals?" Rainbow asked.

"Oh, sadly I tried everything from begging and pleading but nothing seemed to work," Fluttershy matter-of-factly commented on that question.

"Well that's out of the question," Twilight started.

"Twilight, how about you cast a spell so they stop eating the food since it seems that's what they are targeting," Rarity asked.

"That's actually a good idea Rarity. Rainbow Dash, can you go gather up all the Parasprites into Ponyville Square?" Twilight started.

"On it!" Rainbow replied and did as she was told.

All the Parasprites were gathered into Ponyville Square via Rainbow's "Rain-blow Dry". Twilight of course cast the spell. What she didn't factor in was that all the spell does is just stop the Parasprites from eating food. So what do the Parasprites eat then? Well, they ate everything that wasn't food, that includes buildings. Chaos reigned in Ponyville as citizens were running around trying to keep their belongings safe from being eaten from the now object-eating Parasprites. Whoops. Twilight had a Plan B though.

"Screw it! Rainbow, gather them up again and lets roll them on over back to the Everfree Forest," Twilight suggested.

"Alright!" Rainbow replied again and did.

Na na na na na na na na na Katamari Damacy... Yeah, Rainbow indeed was making like Katamari and rolling up all the Parasprites into a ball. Twilight, Rarity, Applejack, and Fluttershy were escorting the big ball of all the Parasprites that Rainbow rolled up back to the Everfree Forest. Unfortunately for Rainbow Dash, the Parasprites dissapated again right near the outskirts of Ponyville and entering the Everfree Forest.

Back at Pinkie Pie headquarters, Spike and Apple Bloom returned empty handed since neither Twilight or Applejack would own such instruments.

"Aha... sorry Pinkie Pie, Ah didn't find anything..." Apple Bloom solemnly spoke.

"Me neither," Spike added.

"Silly filly and drake! I have instruments right here!" Pinkie Pie responded, "but still thank you for the effort."

Pinkie Pie gave them both a hug.

And there's another reason to love that dragon~

"Alright! Let's equip and start polka!" Pinkie chirped.

Spike equipped cymbals while Apple Bloom equipped a drum since she was a quadruped. Pinkie Pie... equipped all the remaining instruments from Trumpets to Harmonicas, somehow fitting all of them on her. They took to the streets and started the polka together while following the Parasprite trail left behind by the ball that Rainbow rolled. The Parasprites all followed of course.

Meanwhile Twilight Sparkle had to take care of the Princess' arrival. Yes, Princess Celestia arrived to the outskirts of Ponyville since that's where Twilight was. Twilight was just trying to be cool about it. She made small talk with Celestia while trying to keep her cool down. Luckily for Twilight, the two pony and drake polka of Pinkie Pie, Apple Bloom, and Spike all passed by bringing all the Parasprites along with them back to the Everfree Forest. Celestia, being the trolling princess she is, thanked Twilight for the parade in her honor. Celestia then asked Twilight if she had learned something today, well duh she did.

Today I learned that sometimes the solution to your problems come from where you least expect it. It is a good idea to stop and listen to you friends' opinions and perspective.

A good lesson indeed. Celestia then had to go to Fillydelphia to account for a similar situation. Of course that situation was dealt with via instruments as well. Back in Ponyville Twilight couldn't stop thanking Pinkie Pie, Spike, and Apple Bloom for saving their town... sorta...

"Thank you so much Pinkie Pie, I'm sure I would have been glue if it weren't for you," Twilight hugged Pinkie really tightly.

"No problem Twilight! Sometimes the best course of action when in doubt is just to do it!" Pinkie responded happily.

"Is there any way I can repay you Pinkie Pie?" Twilight asked.

"Oooo!" Pinkie replied, knowing full well in her heart what she wanted.

Pinkie Sense! Heart fluttering, batting eyes, and weak knees all at once?! It's time! Here we go Pinkie Pie!

"I want to join Spike's Harem!" Pinkie chirped matter-of-factly.

"Hmm? Why?" Twilight and Spike asked.

"Well for the reader, Spike, you were there to take care of me when I had the 'baked bads' and even stroked my mane *dreamy sigh*, and as of right now he trusted me with my solution for the Parasprites," Pinkie spoke calmly and very unlike the normal chirpy Pinkie.

"Well what do you think Spike?" Twilight, Fluttershy, Apple Bloom, Rarity, and Applejack all asked.

What exactly did that dragon say? This is "Friendship is Spike". DUH, of course the drake said yes. Also who can resist such a cute and peppy pony like Pinkie Pie? Just as long as she isn't hurt she'll be one of the greatest... (I said that too many times...) marefriends Spike could ever have. They all cheered and they all came in for a hug. Oh yeah... poor Rainbow Dash. (Whoops.)

"Hey! Earth to the Harem! Hate to break your bubble but can you look at the state of Ponyville?" Rainbow complained.

Ponyville was in shambles. Buildings had holes all around them. Rebuilding needed to be done. The 8 of them could only sigh as they went in to start rebuilding Ponyville.
