Fluttershy was being a jolly good Pegasus just chilling around nature and feeding the animals. All was going well until she noticed the cloud of smoke covering Ponyville.

"Oh... My..." was Fluttershy's comment.

Theme.

Fluttershy then trotted into Ponyville to attempt to warn the citizens of Ponyville of the danger that is smoke, one could only guess how well that went.

"Help. Help! Please? Help? There's-- there's a horrible cloud of smoke. It's headed this way and--*shrieks*" Fluttershy attempted to get their attention until Rainbow Dash swooped in bouncing a ball on her head.

"Oh don't be such a scaredy-pony. It's just me, future Equestria ball-bouncing record holder," Rainbow confidently spoke then started counting, "346, 347..."

"This calls for a celebration!" Pinkie matter-of-factly said rather than exclaimed.

"Oh, no, Pinkie Pie, this is no time for celebration. This is a time for panic, for--" Fluttershy tried to continued but...

"Ooo! I'm going to need balloons! One for every pony in Ponyville!" Pinkie popped in front of Fluttershy and excitedly exclaimed.

"There's-- there's smoke. And-- and where there's smoke, there's fire. And--" Fluttershy tried to explain while chasing down Pinkie Pie but then got flanked literally silly from Pinkie suddenly stopping. Luckily Pinkie's tail is fluffy.

Pinkie apparently started counting the citizens of Ponyville.

"Let's see, that's one, two, three, four..."

"354..." Rainbow tried to keep count but was getting interference.

"Five, Six..."

"355... No, wait..." Rainbow lost count.

"Seven!" Pinkie booped Rainbow in the chest.

Rainbow was now frustrated that she lost count, she put the ball in her front hooves.

"Pinkie Pie! Now I have to start over!"

"We're all going to have to start over, in a new village. Because ours is gonna be--" Fluttershy attempted yet again to continue BUT...

"Oh silly Rainbow Dash, you were off count ever since you started talking to Fluttershy!" Pinkie matter-of-factly cheerfully explained.

Rainbow blinked twice then flew off. Pinkie just hopped away with that same cheerful expression adorning her face. Fluttershy was now left alone in the middle of the Ponyville park. She made one last attempt.

"Oh, please, this is an emergency. I-I need every pony to--"... BUT... LUCKILY her friend Twilight Sparkle *Heroic Tone*, was here to finally explain to the villagers.

"Listen up! Smoke is spreading over all of Equestria," Twilight matter-of-factly proclaims.

Comments of "What?", "Oh no!", and "That's awful!" can be heard through the pony population.

"That's what I've been trying to--" Fluttershy tries to explain BUT...

"BUT don't worry, I've received a letter from Princess Celestia informing me that it is not coming from a fire," Twilight continues.

"Oh, thank goodness," this was Fluttershy's first coherent sentence in a while while she smiled.

"It's coming from a dragon," Twilight matter-of-factly finishes.

There was a collective intake of air known as a gasp that swept through the Ponyville population.

"A... d-dragon?" Fluttershy meeped in fear.

Transition to the Golden Oaks Library. The Mane 6, Apple Bloom, and Spike are all there.

"What in the name of all things cinnamon swirled is a full-grown dragon doing here in Equestria?" Applejack asked.

"Sleeping," Twilight matter-of-factly states.

The rest all went, "Huh?"

"According to Princess Celestia, he's taking a nap. His snoring is what's causing all this smoke," Twilight continued.

"He should really see a doctor. That doesn't sound healthy at all," Pinkie commented.

"Well, at least he's not snoring fire. What are we meant to do about it?" Rarity questioned.

"I'll tell you what we're meant to do. Give him the boot!" Rainbow exclaimed.

"We need to encourage him to take a nap somewhere else. Princess Celestia has given us this mission, and we must not fail. If we do, Equestria will be covered in smoke for the next one hundred years," Twilight corrected.

Fluttershy just gasped.

"Hmph. Talk about getting your beauty sleep," Rarity scoffed.

"Alright ladies, I need you to gather supplies quickly. We've got a long journey ahead of us. Let's meet back here in less than an hour," Twilight commanded.

"Okay, girls, you heard the purple book pony! The fate of Equestria is in our hooves. Do we have what it takes?" Rainbow psyched the group up.

There was an overall resounding "yes" response from them, all except for Fluttershy.

"Um, actually..." Fluttershy meeped out.

Montage of pony/dragon preparations of Mane 6 and Spike.

All of them had saddlebags with stuff needed, of course Spike had something he would like to call a "backpack" instead.

"Alright ladies! Listen up! Unlike the Prime Universe that threw physics out the window, the fastest route up the mountain will take at least two days to get up, but if we keep a good pace we'll be there in that time frame," Twilight ratted out.

There was an awkward pause until Fluttershy spoke up.

"M-m-mountain?" Fluttershy quivered.

"The dragon is in that cave at the very top," Twilight matter-of-factly spoke.

"Looks pretty cold up there," Applejack commented.

"Yep. The higher you go, the chillier it gets," Rainbow added.

"Don't worry girls, I packed scarfs for us all darlings!" Rarity reassured.

"Ooo! Pretty! I remembered the bedding and sleeping bags!" Pinkie chirped in.

"Ah got the food," Applejack said, "no, it's not all apple products silly."

"Well I am a walking flame to light our campfire," Spike added in.

"Awww yeah, now we're talking," Rainbow cheered.

Fluttershy, still quite terrified, tried to get out of it.

"Um, excuse me Twilight, but I should take care of the animals..." she tried to make up an excuse.

"Nonsense Fluttershy! Ah'm gonna watch the animals for you! After all someone has to, and you are the one with the animal skills, not me," Apple Bloom chirped in, "and are you seriously going to let a filly beat you now Fluttershy?"

Fluttershy was just in a bit of shock and wide-eyed for that.

Oh... my... Apple Bloom does make a good point, I can't let this be... but... but... eep!

Rainbow wasn't certain about bringing Fluttershy.

"Are you sure you want to bring Fluttershy along? I mean, that pony's afraid of her own shadow. She's just going to slow us down."

"Oh, she's just a little nervous. Once we get going, I'm sure she'll be fine... ALRIGHT GIRLS! LET'S MOVE OUT!" Twilight boomed.

"But... But...! *eep*" Was all Fluttershy could do.

All of them exited leaving Fluttershy and Spike alone.

"You know Fluttershy, I'm a dragon as well, and I did find that slightly offensive you know, the way you were acting when you found out it was a dragon," Spike commented.

"Oh, I'm so sorry Spike, I mean you're different since you're so nice, so sweet, so cute, so lovely..." Fluttershy sighed dreamily.

"You know Fluttershy, I could've been one of those dragons too."

"What huh? No way, you told me you were hatched by Twilight and she took care of you, you've been raised really well~"

Spike just sighed at Fluttershy being all strange, he then got an idea since it was quite obvious at this point.

"So then Fluttershy, would you want me to escort you up the mountain? If I'm apparently that nice, and also you know I'm interested to see another dragon for once, and maybe he isn't as bad as you think he/she is."

What? Did he just say that? yay~

"YES! Spike I would love to have an escort like you," Fluttershy gave a loving nuzzle which was done in a way that Spike got a whiff of her mane's smell which was that similar to nature.

Spike of course raised an eyebrow at that but was just amused nonetheless at how open the Pegasus could be around him.

Huh, so far what Twilight told me about all her friends having an interest in me seems to be true.

Spike held out a claw, to which Fluttershy put her hoof in.

His scales are so smooth~ *squee*

Fluttershy was smiling like a little derp. Spike had to drag her out of the Golden Oaks Library to get her on her way. Spike of course locked up before they caught up with the other 5. Twilight of course backed up a bit for a talk with the Pegasus.

"Interested in Spike?" Twilight plainly asked.

"Aha... *squee*" Fluttershy could only do.

"I'm ok with it too you know, Apple Bloom was a good addition anyways, you are one of my close friends too you know."

"Oh thank you so much Twilight! I won't let you down either!" Fluttershy gave Twilight a one-hoofed hug.

The Unicorn and Pegasus continued down their way up the mountain with the dragon in between. Fluttershy having been a lot more calm to know that a dragon and Unicorn are there to help her.

Maybe this won't be as bad as you thought, you silly Pegasus.

Fluttershy smiled contentedly at herself.

Transition to mountain climbing scene.

I can't do this! I can't do this! Ahhhh!

Fluttershy freaked out as she realized how high she was.

"Ahhh! I don't wanna die," Fluttershy spoke, sounding an awful lot like Twilight in Season 1 Episode 2.

"Fluttershy, you are a Pegasus. If there should be anyone worrying, it would be me," Spike spoke matter-of-factly.

Just then, a loud rumbling was felt and heard all around the mountain side.

"Well excuse yourself dragon," Rainbow scoffed as she pinched her muzzle and wafted the air in front of her.

"Rainbow, that wasn't a dragon fart. That was the dragon merely snoring," Twilight matter-of-factly stated.

"Nope, I still think that was a fart."

A few moments after the rumbling, a huge stink smell came over the entire group. Everyone coughed and gagged.

"Told ya so," Rainbow spoke through her hoof.

Pinkie was already wearing a gas mask and had more in her hoof.

"Everyone take one~" Pinkie chirped.

None of them argued and put one on.

"Well luckily for me I don't fart stink. I fart party!" Pinkie continued.

Just then a sound of a cannon could be heard going off. Out of Pinkie's rear came a whole bunch of confetti right in Twilight's face.

"I don't know how to feel about this," Twilight gagged.

"Oh Twilight, you silly filly, it's harmless you know~" Pinkie spoke.

All seven of them could only laugh, even Fluttershy had a good laugh and was snapped out of all her worry. They then continued climbing up the mountain. Fluttershy gained the bravery to the point that she even jumped over a small gap in the cliff sides. It then came to be nighttime on the peaceful mountain side. Spike was able to keep Fluttershy quiet enough so that no disasters arose. They found a nice smaller cave on the mountain side they were climbing up on. They were able to take off the gas masks as the air was clean and clear in the cave. Spike helped start a small campfire in the cave. The seven of them relaxed in the cave. Fluttershy was next to Spike, awfully close to the dragon.

"Fluttershy darling, might I ask why you are sticking so close to a dragon if you are afraid of them? No offense Spike," Rarity questioned.

"None taken Rarity."

"*squee* Oh no Rarity, Spike is much more than just a dragon, he's the nicest creature you'll ever meet, and I'm glad to be a part of his Harem, I mean he's been so helpful whenever I called for help, he's even my escort up this mountain side as of right now," Fluttershy sighed dreamily as she put a hoof around Spike.

*Record Scratch*

Rarity, Rainbow Dash, Applejack, and Pinkie Pie gave each other glances, but shrugged it off as best as they could, but still thoughts were running around in their head.

Looks like my fillyhood friend has gotten to him as well! What is going on? Why can't I get a dragon like him?

Oh, well Rarity, that’s interesting, beaten by the younger sister and the shy one.

So that's why she was so confident! Another reason to appreciate the fine drake~

Ooo! Fluttershy you sly~ I want to get some of that dragon too! *pout* But I was told to listen to my Pinkie Sense for the right time or one.

Twilight and Fluttershy were a bit worried from the blank expressions that were on their friends' faces.

"Ummm Rarity? Rainbow Dash? Applejack? Pinkie Pie? I don't mean to be a bother, but... um, you all are drooling," Fluttershy commented.

"What's that darling? Oh ewwwww! I didn't know I zoned out that much, thank you very much," Rarity magicked off the drool.

Applejack and Rainbow Dash ended up bonking heads and snapping out of it with a "squee" and a blush. Pinkie Pie ticked like a clock a bit then went "ding!" and snapped out of it.

"Ooooo! Fluttershy, Auntie Pinkie is so proud of you!" Pinkie cheered.

"I'm *Insert length of time less than a year here.* older than you," Fluttershy glared.

"Congratulations Fluttershy, make Spike happy and get along with my sister ya' hear? Ya'll part of the Apple Family in a way," Applejack commented.

"Yeah, what she said," Rainbow could only blab out.

After all the awkwardness, they watched the sunset to which Fluttershy was happily enjoying as her first with her drakefriend, then they cooked a good meal on the campfire, good ol' vegetable soup, comfort food. They all pitched in for the cooking and were satisfied with the result.

After eating that hearty meal, they then decided to set up camp. All of them laid out their bedding and sleeping bags. There were six in total. Spike clearly knew something was up.

“So… girls, where am I sleeping?” Spike just had a smirk on his face.

Twilight and Fluttershy had sheepish smiles on their faces and were rubbing their front hooves. Twilight had a flashback to earlier when she was talking to Pinkie Pie.

“Umm… so Pinkie Pie… can you just pack six sets of bedding and sleeping bags please?”

“Oh… I see,” Pinkie had a smug look on her face, ”you want Spike cuddles don’t you? Of course Twilight! You got it!”

What Twilight didn’t count on was that Fluttershy would be hopping on the Harem train so soon. But in all fairness, she knew what her answer as alpha mare would be.

“Fluttershy is the newest one, you can have his cuddles.”

“Oh… I mean… if it isn’t too much of a bother…”

“Come on Fluttershy, we’re all grown mares here, you know I get Spike cuddles all the time.”

“Well… in that case, thank you very much Twilight,” Fluttershy gave a sincere smile.

And that plan was so. Fluttershy wrapped her wings and hooves around the little drake as they slid into their sleeping bag.

“Spike, you are quite warm~” was the last thing the Pegasus said before giving Spike a kiss on the lips before dozing off to sleep.

Eventually the rest of them were able to get to sleep and all was peaceful that night in the cave of the mountainside.

Transition to the Next Day.

Spike arose in the morning. He tried to move but found him surrounded by the color cream. A small smile came on his face.

And Twilight said to me when I was young "easy there Casanova", yet here she is dating me along with a fine farm filly and now animal Pegasus.

Applejack, Rainbow Dash, and Rarity weren't up since the first two were athletic and needed rest and Rarity must always have her beauty sleep.

Spike woke Fluttershy up via nose boop.

“Good morning Miss Fluttershy,” Spike cheerfully greeted.

Fluttershy stirred from her sleep and opened her eyes and was happy to see Spike.

“Oh good morning Mister Spike, enjoyed the cuddles?” she giggled.

“Of course.”

Fluttershy gave a playful nuzzle to Spike before the two of them got up. Twilight already was awake as she was an early riser.

“Ah, good morning Fluttershy and Spike, I take it your rest was good?” the Unicorn greeted.

“Oh, yes, it was so much better with Spike around,” Fluttershy responded.

All of a sudden a cannon shot could be heard going off. Twilight, Fluttershy, and Spike turned around and saw Pinkie Pie with a sheepish look on her face.

"Aha... must be the soup, girls," Pinkie sheepishly spoke.

"None of us had gas," Twilight matter-of-factly stated.

"Oh."

It was from that cannon shot that the rest awoke.

"DARLIN-- oh," Rarity commented.

A sigh could be heard from Applejack. Rainbow Dash just grumbled and included a comment about how Pinkie Pie was firing the cannon every hour of the night. The other three then gathered to meet the four of them.

"Good morning dears," Rarity greeted.

"Mornin'."

"Good Morning."

They then enjoyed a good breakfast of cupcakes that Pinkie Pie somehow managed to preserve through the climb to the cave. They then packed up everything and continued their climb up the mountain. They then reached the crevice that the dragon was taking his nap. Fluttershy started trembling again. Spike held her hoof to keep her calm to remind her that he was also the same as them anyways or can be.

"Ready to go in Fluttershy? We've got a job to do," Spike asked.

Twilight also was to join them in persuading the dragon since Twilight is Twilight. The three of them then went in, the other four watching from the exit of the cave. They approached the dragon.

"Mr. Dragon," Twilight tried to begin.

Nothing.

"Excuse me."

Nothing.

"Mr. Dragon."

The dragon stirred.

"Oh, good, you're awake. Please allow me to introduce myself. My name is Twilight--"

The dragon yawned and sent a very stink breath across the trio. Even Spike's eyes were watering from it.

"Augh! Puh! Sparkle, and my friends and I are residents here in Equestria. Ponyville, to be exact. We've come her to ask that you find another spot to take your nap. It's just that you seem to be doing an awful lot of snoring, and every time you do you send out a terrible cloud of smoke. *coughs* Equestria simply can't survive a hundred years in a dark haze. You understand, don't you?"

The dragon saw Spike and saw him as a threat, he snorted loudly which sent the three of them careening out of the cave and knocking over the four ponies waiting outside like bowling pins. This was enough to cause Fluttershy to snap, no one hurts her dragon or anyone in the Harem for that matter.

"How dare you... How dare you! Listen here, mister. Just because you're big doesn't mean you get to be a bully. You may have huge teeth, and sharp scales, and snore smoke, and breathe fire. But you do not-- I repeat-- You! Do! Not! Hurt! My! Friends! You got that?"

This is going down... HARD. The dragon could only whimper that it was being yelled at in such a way.

"Well?!"

"But that dragon is a threat," was the dragon's response.

"And I am very sorry about not considering that. But you're bigger than he is, and you should know better. You should also know better than to take a nap where your snoring can become a health hazard to other creatures."

"But I--"

"Don't you 'but I' me, mister. Now what do you have to say for yourself? I said, what do you have to say for yourself?"

The dragon could only cry, it realized what it did wrong. Fluttershy softened her tone.

"There, there. No need to cry. You're not a bad dragon, you just made a bad decision. Now go pack your things. You just need to find a new place to sleep. That's all."

The dragon obliged and flew off to find a new napping place, surprisingly leaving behind all the gold and jewels... on second thought the dragon scooped it all up and took it with him causing money to rain down over places in Equestria including Ponyville. Rioting happened and Apple Bloom was just amused and giggled at the nature of the Ponyville residents. Still, Apple Bloom picked up a few gems to give to her drakefriend for when he returns as he deserved a treat for being a good dragon.

Happy with their success at getting the dragon out, although Rarity was a bit sad not to have some gems, the septet then made their way back down the mountain, again stopping at the cave for the night, eating, resting, and finishing their journey back down. They were greeted by Apple Bloom as they trotted/walked into Ponyville.

"Fluttershy, how do ya put up with this bunny?" She asks as she points at Angel Bunny.

"Eh... you get used to it I guess?" Fluttershy giggled, "oh, and also I have news for you."

"Yes?" Apple Bloom asked.

After Fluttershy told her about her also joining her and Twilight in the Harem, Apple Bloom was quite excited. She commented that they should hang out one day in the future. Lastly, Apple Bloom treated Spike to the gems she picked up earlier to which he happily gobbled down.

"So where'd you get these from?" Spike asked.

"Oh Spike, these rained down from when you seven got the dragon to leave, you should have seen the scene down here."

All eight of them laughed at the silliness that is Ponyville citizens.

Dear Princess Celestia,
I am happy to report that the dragon has departed our fair country, and that it was my good friend, Fluttershy, who convinced him to go. This adventure taught me that sometimes you'll need to have a friend to count on when you are scared. A true friend will always be there for you when you need them the most, and they can help you even overcome your greatest fears.
