A New Beginning
Chapter 2: Reunion (Part One)
Previous Chapter Next ChapterYou stare in disbelief as Adagio stands in front of you. "Sunset. Why didn't you tell me you were talking to Anon?" Adagio asks with a look of surprise on her face.
"I forgot that you guys knew eachother." Sunset replies as Adagio sits down next to you. "I remember him bumping into you when I was giving you and the others a tour of the school, but I thought that was it."
''Yeah, that moment really changed my life." You reply as you feel Adagio brush her hand over yours. She giggles after hearing that. "Well, this is actually the first time I've seen Adagio since the Battle of the Bands."
"I see." Sunset says as she looks toward Adagio. "Well, should I bring him up to speed or shall I let you do it?"
"I'll do it." Adagio replies. "Could you be a dear and fetch some drinks while Anon and I catch up?"
"Sure thing." Sunset says as she gets up and goes over to the counter. Adagio watched as Sunset walked over to the counter before turning her attention back to you. Without warning, she plants a kiss on your lips as she pulls you close in a warm embrace.
"I've missed you so much." Adagio says after kissing you while she hugs your body tightly. "Its been so long since the last time I saw you. Aria and Sonata will be so excited to hear you'll be living with us."
"Where have you guys been since that night?" You ask as Adagio loosens her grip on your body. "I showed up to your house like I said I would that Friday night. But I saw the sign and I instantly thought you guys just vanished."
"Well, I might as well start at the beginning then." Adagio says while looking slightly away. "It all started that morning after the concert. We received numerous phone calls about unpaid bills and our electricity got cut off. Soon after, we had a man knocking on our door, said that he represented the realtor service that we got that we got the house from."
"I think I know where this is going."
"Yeah. You remember asking me how we could afford such a nice house?"
"Yes."
"Well, we've been hypnotizing them ever since we got the house into letting us stay there for free. So you can imagine how angry they were the moment our spell wore off. He even had police officers with him, ready to take us to jail."
"Woah! How did you avoid getting locked up?"
"We offered the realtors a deal. In exchange for not pressing charges and avoiding jail time, we agreed to pay back what we owed to them."
"Which was how much?"
"Well... considering we've been there for five years.... roughly $800,000."
"Holy shit!"
"Yeah. We've all had to get jobs just to start paying them back. I'm currently a massage therapist for the spa. Sonata is an assistant manager at the Taco Hut. And Aria is working security for some nightclub called the Horse Shoe. With all of our checks going towards paying off the realtors, we had nothing left to live off of. Thats where Sunset came in. She saw us at the homeless shelter and agreed to take us in out of the goodness of her heart. But we didn't account for the fact that four people living in a one bedroom apartment would be cramped."
"So how exactly are we going to afford a house if three of the five are stuck paying $800,000?"
"Thats just it. We've paid it back." A look of confusion appears on your face.
"How in the fuck did you guys make over $800,000 in just a few months?"
"Well, each of us got a lottery ticket once a week from the gas station. It took many, and let me point this out, many tries before one of our tickets matched all five numbers on the lottery. Guess how much we won."
"$10 million?"
"$25 million."
"Woah! Thats alot of money! So you guys are pretty much in the clear from all that trouble?"
"Pretty much. After paying back all the money we owed to the realtors, the electricity, plumbing, and other things, we were left with about $20 million. So we have that stored away in case we ever need it. We've still kept our jobs to help Sunset pay the bills. But now that we've been freed of our debt, we can afford to get our old house back." She then places a hand under your chin, making you look into her eyes. "And you know what that means, don't you?" She says before giving you a wink. A feeling down below starts making itself known as the memory of Adagio in her light purple bikini floods into your mind. She looks down toward your crotch before inching close to your ear. "I'll take that bulge in your jeans as a yes." She whispers as her hand gently rests on top of it. "But anyways, its so nice to see you again Anon. I can't tell you how many times I've thought about that night in the hot tub." She plants another kiss on your lips and hugs you tight again as Sunset comes back over to the table with three mugs of apple cider. "Thank you Sunset." Adagio says as she hands a mug to you while taking one herself.
"No problem." Sunset replies as she sits down with her mug. "So Anon, I'm sure Adagio has already told you about what we're going to be doing. All I have left to ask is this. Do you want to join us?"
"It would be my pleasure to live with you guys." You reply as you raise your mug. "How about a toast?" Sunset and Adagio each raise their mugs in response. "A toast to old friends reuniting and for a good future."
"I'll toast to that." Adagio replies.
"Same here." Sunset says as the three mugs clink together.
"Down the hatch." You say as you chug the entire contents of the mug in less than 10 seconds. You look back to see Adagio and Sunset stare with their mouths wide open.
"Very impressive." Adagio says as she drinks her cider. "I can't wait to see the look on Aria and Sonata's faces when they hear you'll be moving in with us."
"We'll have to add on to the house in order for it to accommodate all five of us. I'll have to look at different construction companies that can help with that." Sunset says as she drinks her cider. "Two more bedrooms and one more bathroom. I can't wait to get our things moved in. How much stuff do you need to move out of your apartment Anon?"
"My bed, dresser, recliner, and a tv. Most of the plates and pans can just be tossed. I'll have to rent a moving truck or maybe ask Big Mac if he could help me with moving. But all that can wait til the house is bought. Til then, how about I let Adagio and the others crash at my place while you sort out all the details."
"I'm not objecting." Adagio blurts out upon hearing your suggestion.
"Well... I suppose as long as you still have your apartment, we could make use of it while we can. Plus it'll give me a chance to straighten the place up." Sunset replies as she drinks the last of her cider. "Thank you for agreeing to be our roommate Anon. Its really helping all of us out."
"Its no problem at all Sunset." You reply. "Now, how about another round of cider on me?"
"I'll take you up on that offer." Adagio says as she puts her arm around your waist.
"Same can be said for me." Sunset replies with a smile.
