The Nightmare Continues
Chapter 2: The Second Dream-Chaper Two
Previous ChapterDreams are a powerful thing. If the force is strong enough, the evil/good can effect the pony's waking world. Although the dreams that effect a pony's waking world are generally nightmares. Luna managed to save numbers ponies from evil forces that could hurt them in real life. Sweetie Belle, for example had been saved by Luna in one of her dreams where an evil Rarity figure tried to kill Sweetie Belle with a lightning rod. If Luna had not came at just that time, then the filly may not have woken up from that nightmare. If Nightmare Moon showed up in another one of Luna's dreams and decided to try and put up a fight, who would save her? Nightmare Moon was a lot more powerful than Luna and could hurt her with ease. Nopony-not even Luna-knew how these dreams worked. It was another one of the worlds secrets, never to be explained.
Luna flew around Canterlot with her sister that night. Not a word was spoken, only the flapping of wings and the occasional rustily of an animal walking on the ground below.
"Luna, you are so quite. Is something bothering you, little sister?" Princess Celestia asked with genuine concern filling her eyes. Luna didn't want to share her dream with her sister. She was the princess of the day. Surely she wouldn't understand. Besides, Luna didn't want to upset her kind sister.
"O-Of douse not, sister. What makes you say such a thing?" Luna asked.
"Well, you just seem quiet. Like something is bothering you. You don't feel overshadowed again, do you? Because if you do, there is certainly a way we can fix that," Celestia smiled at Luna. Luna smiled back.
"No, I feel greatly loved. I just don't think I got enough sleep," Luna reassured her sister. Celestia smiled.
"I'm glad. Now I have to go back to the castle to get some rest before I raise the sun tomorrow morning," Celestia put a hoof on Luna's shoulder and flew back to the castle. Luna was happy that her night came again, but something felt wrong. The navy alicorn felt as if she was being watched. She looked around to see if anypony was watching her. Sometimes Canterlot ponies would do anything to talk to the great and powerful Celestia. Luna really didn't mind if she still didn't shine as bright as her sister. It was better then going back to the moon for another thousand years, anyway. I cannot believe I have all my power to Nightmare Moon. Luna thought.
"Is anypony there!?" Luna shouted in her royal Canterlot voice. That sixth sense that you sometimes feel when you're alone that something is watching you was what Luna was having. But Luna remembered something that Nightmare Moon told her the previous night. She said that she was watching Luna. Was she still? Maybe. But Luna knew that Nightmare Moon was a ghost in the real world and didn't really exist. Evil forces that were defeated could not exist in the real world, like King Sombra, for example. He still existed as a ghost, making the Crystal ponies still have horrible nightmares about him

Luna climbed into bed again, fearful for the dream she may have tonight. However, her royal duties relied on her getting enough sleep, so she must stay loyal to Equestria. The blue alicorn put the blanket over herself and closed her eyes.
This time Luna was not in a garden of shadows, but on a beach. There was only brown sand, and a lake of a red liquid substance, of what looked to be blood. Luna was getting scared. What was waiting for her? The atmosphere in this dream was much more sinister than last night's dream. Perhaps Nightmare Moon was waiting for her again. "H-Hello?" Luna muttered. Suddenly something flying came out of the sky down to greet luna. No surprise, it was Nightmare Moon again.
"Yes, hello Luna. I apologize I was late. I had other-buisnesses- to attend to," The black she demon of the night chucked. "Now, Luna, I just want to ask you if you'd like to join me once more. You are a great pony for joining me. And ponies will see your night, and you shall be adored like you almost were, Luna. Now last night I was nice, but now I will be a little more strict,"
"No, no never! I love my sister, and I love Equestria, and I don't feel my night is underrated. I will never join you again, so LET ME GO! I DO NOT WANT TO JOIN YOU AND I NEVER WILL!" Luna shouted.
"Really? Are you sure, Princess Luna? Well, you'll change your mind. Now Luna, I will see you again tomorrow," Nightmare Moon smirked.
"Is it really time for me to wake up now?" Luna asked.
Nightmare Moon shook her head. "No. But I am sending you into a different dream, and it will taunt you until you are ready to join me again," Nightmare Moon used her magic to teleport herself. Everything faded into the colours of blood red and black. Luna was left alone. she walked down what seemed to be an endless hallway with no atmosphere at all, just deep red on the left, and black on the right. Poor Luna couldn't deal with Nightmare Moon taunting her. She had to get out of it.
