The Real Best Night Ever
Spike walked through the doors last, just in time to slid in front of his friends, and yell, "Yeah!" at the end of there song,
"And tonight is gonna' be the best night ever, because we are all gonna' hang out and-" just as he was about to finish his sentence, all his friends ran off,
"Oh horsefeathers," he exclaimed, not feeling the satisfaction he wanted. He got up from his knees and walked over to the pony juice bar, up the staircase, in the party room. Everyone was dressed up, and he could spot out all his friends. Rainbow was hanging out with the Wonderbolts, Fluttershy was going out to play with the animals, Applejack was selling her apples, Twilight was talking with the Princess, and Rarity, his crush, Rarity was off flirting with, ugh, Prince Blueblood. He trembled at that name, trying to steal Rarity away from him.
He sat on the tall table wearing his dragon tuxedo with the blue rose on his right shoulder, and ordered a ponyrita,
"Shaken, not stirred,"
After a few more ponyrita's, he flipped a few coins towards the ponytender, and hopped off the seat. He waltzed over to the dance floor only to see all of his friends ignoring him. He was angry, he knew that they wanted to hang out with him, but they were so caught up with the party, the didn't get the chance. He threw a temper, he decided that if they didn't acknowledge him within the hour, he would leave. He walked over to the hor dourves table and tried picking out some of the shrimp and other small dishes. They were not the best, so he refused to eat anymore, stopping himself, and walked away. There was a large group on the dance floor as the music kicked in. Octavia was playing with her band, The Mayor was present, Hoity Toity, and Soarin and Spitfire were enjoying themselves, and to Spike's amazement, even Derpy Hooves was there!
"How did a pony like Derpy get here?"
He was still upset about the party. He didn't expect this to happen, he felt more left out then when he thought Owlowicious was taking his job. It had been well over an hour, and they hadn't even noticed him at the party.
"That's it, I'm leaving this place,"
He walked over where Twilight was standing, at the top of the staircase, but he couldn't directly talk to her from the massive crowed of ponies.
"Twilight! I'm heading back!" he shouted, but she didn't hear him. He was furious, he ran back over to the bar and grabbed one more ponyrita to go. "This one is on the house," the ponytender said,
"From who?"
"A friend," and that's all he said.
He walked over to the Royal Guards opening the doors, and when he walked out, they asked,
"Assistant Spike, will we be seeing you soon?"
"I wouldn't count on it," he snapped and walked away.
The Celestian Tile was cold to his feet, and he walked out into the big open kingdom square, no pony was there. It was like a ghost castle. Everything was happening at the main hall, no where else. He was extremely put down from the party, and he was getting hazey, every time he took sip from his drink. It was funny because he ordered this without alcohol, no elixer, nothing. He had to walk down the dirt path, surrounded by the trees of the Everfree Forest, then it would lead him back to Ponyville. He started his trek down the dirt path, over the bridge, underneath the waterfall. He was getting tired, and after he finished his drink, he tossed the glass cup on the floor, and it shattered.
The moon was glowing bright, and fireworks were going off in the distance. His vision was getting blurry, and his hearing was getting faint. He was walking along the dirt path surrounded by the trees, when his head started pulsing, and he went over to one of the trees, a big oak one, and tried to stop this massive headache. It was so incredibly painful that he tried not to fight it. He became numb all over, and his breathing became more relaxed. His stress melted away like an ice cube in the sun, and his head bobbed from his shoulders. Finally, he realized he couldn't stand it, and shut his eyes, unconscious.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
He blacked in and out of his sleep. He was being dragged across the grass and dirt. He felt hands in his tux pockets, removing the coins from them, and then he was thrown into a dark room. The whole thing took about an hour. All he knew is that he was possibly taken home by Twilight, or someone else took him.
He felt a rush of cold water on him. He was drenched by a bucket of the liquid, and woke up to find himself wrapped up in a chair. A hard wooden chair with splinters and bugs crawling on it.
"Where am I?" he asked,
"Where are you?" a voice mimicked , "You're with us,"
He looked at his arms, and he was being tied down with pieces of thick cloth, and he was not wearing his tuxedo. He was being held down by it.
"What did you do to my tux? This was extremely expensive!" he shouted at the unknown characters,
"I wouldn't worry about the tux," it snapped back,
"How did I get here,"
"Does 'shaken, not stirred' ring any bells?"
"You tricked me," Spike realized. He felt so stupid, he was tied up in the Everfree Forest by a gang of unknown raiders or thieves that took him. He could have been spending time with Twil-, oh, then he remembered, Twilight didn't want to hang out with him, nor any of his friends.
"What were you doing out there, dragon?"
"None of my friends wanted to hang out with me at the Gala, and my name is Spike,"
"The Gala?" One voice asked, and then there was mumbling coming from the corner of the dim lit room.
"It's a party," Spike shot out, but then, a hoof came flying out of nowhere, and SMACK! Right across Spike's scaly face,
"What the hay was that!?" he shouted,
"Shut up, dragon!" a voice called out, then they went back to mumbling, Spike wasn't too sure that leaving the party was a good idea.
"You stay here, dragon, and we will deal with you later," they said, and then shut a door, leaving Spike alone in the room, with the darkness and bugs crawling around him.
He tried to free himself, he tried budging and smacking, and the screws of the chair were fidgeting out of the slots . The door opened, and the same group of unknown characters, obviously ponies, now, because he could hear the hoofsteps on the ground, and they spoke,
"You do realize we can't just let you go,"
"What are you doing down here?" Spike asked,
"We came here for one thing only, the rumors told around the forest are that there is a massive stash of gems, diamonds, and gold in a temple not to far from here,"
"Why are you telling me all of this?" Spike asked again,
"Because we thought you were trying to go for the treasure too, but to our mistake, you had no idea. So, know that you do know about the treasure, I'm afraid we have to execute you before we leave to go hunt, to make sure you won't follow us,"
Spike turned cold, and had to get out of there fast, and the whole time they were talking to him, he was able to loosen both of the arms on the chair.
They left the room, but left a piece of paper down on a table in the room away from the chair. The chair was dry now, and so was the cloth holding him down, he could be able to break out! When the group walked back in, they had saws and machetes with them. They were hooked up to there backs with straps, they turned on a light with an old light switch, very rusty. They pulled the blades on Spike, and that got his blood pumping, and he torked his arm up, and broke off both the arms of the chair,
"He's free, get him!" they all exclaimed,
Spike dodged the first swing, and then took one of the arms of the chair, and threw it at the light bulb, breaking it. The room was pitch black now, and Spike took the other arm of the chair, and blew on it with his fire breath, leaving just enough of a spark to start up a torch. He waved it around and slammed it down on the vines growing on the walls. The caught on fire, and soon did the rest of the room. The three murderous ponies we stuck in the room,
"You dragon, look what you have done! You are a monster,"
"The only monsters here are you three, hope you burn," he replied with a straight face. He never felt so much hate flowing through him, he needed to calm down. He grabbed the piece of paper off the table, and shut the door. He locked it, and left the murderers to burn in the fire. He walked out of what he though was an exit, and he stumbled out of an old shack of a house. It was very small, and was catching on fire. The ponies escaped out the back window, charred and burned, they tried to sneak away from him, but he spotted them. He let them go, he couldn't stand watching them die, he would never get over himself for doing the deed. There were no trees around the house, it was in the center of an area surrounded by tree's. The whole house soon collapsed, and the fire was put out by the extremely wet grass. The Gala was still going on at the castle, and Spike was going to head back, but then, he looked at the piece of paper in his hands, and saw that it was a map leading to the stash of diamonds, gems, and gold. There were pictures of a temple, a door, and many other things, and it told him where to start.
Was it the Gala, or an adventure of a lifetime. He imagined what it would be like if he found all of those gems. He would be rich, and he would be admired by everyone. He decided to follow the map, determined to find the treasure. He couldn't wait, and to think he would have just been sitting, watching all of his friends have the time of their lives, but this night was his night. He trekked through the tree line, and started his journey.
