Chapter 27: [Epilogue] Two Years Later...

Previous Chapter

Hero, welcome to the end of our tale. You have done well to reach this far, despite the many mistakes and errors the creator has made. I think it's only natural that you should be given a reward for your efforts. However, I'm not too sure what... Oh, why don't I tell you how this world has fared since then two years afterwards? Seems okay? Good. It has been two years since the defeat of the Shagaru Magala. Since then, everyone's been doing very well in their lives, but I think you would rather see them for yourself, would you not?

Let us begin with the lunar princess, hmm? After the defeat of the Gogmazios, none saw her leave. Like a specter, she disappeared without a trace, but I can safely tell you she went back to her village of Hollow Shades. None saw her after these two years, but everyone knew she would return one day...

Luna wandered around Hollow Shades, looking at all the villagers setting up defenses for the town. A small smile came to her face, as well as a feeling of accomplishment. It had taken many years, but she was finally able to bring courage to the townsfolk's hearts and help them fight invading monsters.

"Cherry, could you move that fence over to your left?" she called out to one of her female villagers.

"Of course, Miss Luna!" Cherry nodded before going off to complete her boss's orders. The lunar princess took a deep breath in and sighed. This was how the village should have been years ago to her. This is what she was supposed to do.

"Luna, we have a problem!" called out a young male villager as he ran towards his boss "Like, a super huge monster problem! BIG monster!!"

"For the love of..." Luna shook her head and sighed "How big?"

"Um... Maybe kinda sorta... Rathalos big..." the villager quivered in fear. The Alicorn perked up at this monster's name. It was no doubt one of the grown-up chicks Twilight found just before fighting the Zinogre.

"Send in the ballistics. I'll be there shortly" she answered after a moment of thought.

"Of course, Miss Luna" the villager nodded before rushing to prepare the defenses. Luna walked back to her room and opened her blue hunter's chest, revealing a full set of Brachydios armour, as well as her Brachydios charge blade. She stared at that armour for what felt like ages.

"It's been a while since I used this set" she said before a small smile came to her face "Perhaps one day, dear sister, once everypony has been trained, I will return."

She took her clothing out and got dressed immediately. After looking in her mirror to make sure she was adequately prepared, she ran out of her home only to see the Rathalos had gotten through the defenses with complete ease. Luna did nothing but shake her head letting out a disappointed sigh.

"I truly hope you have a high patience level, dear sister..." she spoke before grabbing her charge blade again with her magic, switching it to axe mode, and charging straight at the Rathalos "...because I might be here for a while."

While Luna was quite happy in her village, she was saddened she couldn't see her sister until Hollow Shades was protected and safe. Nonetheless, she loved being the one who could teach ponies with such potential. Now, onto more endings, hmm? Far, far away, in the kingdom of the Crystal Empire, there lived a mare, a stallion, and a filly foal. I don't think it takes a rocket scientist to know who they are...

"Rage Quit, get your ass down here, or so help me!" Unity called up her husband over the sound of their daughter wailing "You know I'm not good with kids!"

"Then why did you want them, huh?" Rage Quit flew down the stairs to meet with his wife.

"I didn't, you did!" the Unicorn argued "Yet I was the one who had to carry her everywhere I went, vomit every two second, and constantly get angry with you!"

"I see not much has changed" he snickered.

"Just take care of her while I get dressed for my meeting tonight, okay?" Unity sighed before kissing Rage on the cheek and going upstairs to fulfill her claim. The light blue Pegasus walked over to where his daughter was crying like a maniac.

"Hey there, Razor Wind" he spoke calmly with a smile, stopping the foal from crying. She was familiar with that voice, she had heard it so many times in the past. She quickly began gurgling in affection. Rage picked his two-year-old daughter up and began playing with her, making her laugh.

"Still a daddy's girl, eh?" he chuckled as he bounced around his green coated, white maned Pegasus daughter "Lemme tell you, you're gonna go on to do great things. I just know it! You'll become a better Monster Hunter than your old man! Heck, you might even go off and save the world!"

Razor Wind simply laughed at this. Suddenly, Unity, who had come back from upstairs, wrapped her front hooves around Rage Quit and hugged him.

"You're so good with kids" she whispered in his ear before turning him around and forcing him to look at her new dress "Well, what do you think? Am I sexy enough?"

The Pegasus had no words as he simply stared at his wife with Razor in his wings. She was beautiful with her curly orange mane, red lipstick and long black dress over her grey coat. Finally, something escaped from the stallion's mouth.

"Beautiful..." was all he said.

"Thought so" Unity giggled before winking and sticking out her tongue playfully "Well, I shouldn't be long. Just gotta make this as quick as possible and we'll be off on our little date. Which reminds me, is the babysitter still on tonight?"

"Hmm? Oh, right" Rage snapped out of his trance "Yeah, Butter's still on. He's just gotta finish things up at Dracoville's bar and he'll come dashing here faster than light."

"Rightio!" the mare nodded before heading for the door "See you two later. Love you!"

"Love you too, honey" the stallion smiled before beginning to play with his daughter again. Just as Unity closed the door, a certain Lagombi bounced right onto Rage Quit, knocking him over but keeping Razor safe with his wings. The monster, now half-way grown, licked his co-owner's face affectionately.

"Geo! Geo!" Razor laughed as she touched George's soft fur.

"Hahaha! Okay, George, you can stop that now" the light blue Pegasus laughed before the rabbit monster hopped off him "Boy, you sure are getting big, aren't you? Soon enough, we'll have to make the entire backyard your home."

George growled playfully before walking away somewhere else in the house. Rage Quit just rolled his eyes with a smile before rubbing his daughter's head.

Rage and Unity's family are doing quite fine, but I'm not sure Rage Quit was joking about George's new place to live. In any case, I suppose you'd wish to move on, correct? In a village close to a volcanic wasteland, there lives two brothers and an unsatisfiable amount of customers. The younger was enjoying life normally, but the elder was about to have something amazing happen in his life...

"NUMBER 34, ORDER UP!!" shouted Butter Hero as he slid a completed meal down the side of his cafeteria counter "That's the last one you're having, Striker."

"Yeah, yeah, don't git yer panties in a bunch..." Striker rolled his eyes as he placed the tray with food on it on his back and walked away.

"Keep that attitude up, and that'll be the last one you have indefinitely..." the light yellow Pegasus muttered to himself before turning back to the crowd of ponies desperately wanting his food "Alright, who's up next?"

"That would be me" Dark Thunder approached his younger brother.

"Ah, Dark! What do you fancy, today?" Butter asked his elder brother.

"Same as always."

"One heaven bread sandwich with Kirin butter, coming right up!" the Pegasus nodded and immediately went straight to work. With his knife in his right wing, he chopped the veggies, sliced the butter and pressed them all into two warm slices of bread. He then gave his work to Dark.

"Thanks, bud" the Unicorn smiled before heading off to eat his meal in peace.

"Come back soon!" Butter called out waving before redirecting his attention back to his customers desperately awaiting their orders to be taken "Whoa, whoa, okay, I get it! It's the Shagaru Festival and all that jazz, but please try to stay in an orderly fashion... oh, who am I kidding? FOOD FOR EVERYONE!!"

The crowd of ponies let out a cheer of happiness as they tossed up their hats and helmets, if they had any. Butter regretted his decision immediately, but anyway to get back home and celebrate the defeat of the golden death was okay by him.

Outside the cafeteria in the dark of night, Dark Thunder smiled as he heard the cheers of each and everypony, villager and hunter alike, celebrating this joyous day. He took another bite of his sandwich and sighed. He loved his days with his brother and fighting monsters, but he wished for a bit more excitement in his life. An adventure was what he needed.

Suddenly, he heard the rustling of bushes near him. Fearing it to be a monster in the village, he levitated over his longsword and prepared himself for battle. The rustling continued around him for a while longer until it finally stopped. Hoping whatever it was had screwed off, he went back to his sandwich with a hungry smile on his face. However, his sandwich was no longer there. Another rustle of bushes was heard, and he just caught a leg with his eyes heading back into the wild.

"Hey, get back here with my sandwich!" he called out as he sheathed his longsword and gave chase. The creature ran and ran for a while, surprising the Unicorn. However, the creature tripped and let out a small feminine gasp of shock before falling to the ground. Dark finally caught up with it only to find out that...

"P-Please don't hurt me..." the female Changeling about his age cried desperately "I'm s-so cold and hungry..."

"A... Changeling?" Dark questioned.

"J-Just let m-me have this one t-time, okay?" she continued to cry "M-My entire colony w-was obliterated by a great f-flaming elder d-dragon, and I was t-the only one to escape..."

"Only you?" the Unicorn asked, him as well feeling a tear down his cheek, but keeping his posture "Can't you go to another Changeling colony?"

"N-No..." she shook her head "They would j-just kick m-me out... I'm n-not one of them..."

"Would... would you like to, y'know..." he inhaled before asking his question "...like to stay with me?"

"What?" the Changeling curiously asked.

"Well, just for a little while..." Dark rubbed the back of his head "But we have food, and water, and love! You need those, right? We also have comfy beds, and an amazing chef, and-"

"Thank you..." she smiled before giving him a hug.

"You're welcome" the ash grey stallion smiled as well "The name's Dark Thunder, by the way. What's your name?"

"My name?" the Changeling questioned before giggling a bit "My name is Fuchsia. Very nice to meet you, Dark Thunder..."

"You can just call me Dark" he laughed. An adventure, he thought. Perhaps this was the adventure he was looking for after all? Only time could tell...

Both the smell of food and love was in the air there, and even I wasn't sure what would happen to Dark and Fuchsia. But they pulled through. Oh, was I not supposed to tell them that? A thousand apologies. What I meant to say was they would find a way to live somehow... but let's face it, you all knew they'd find a way. Now, onto the next story, hmm? A team of elite hunters was just stationed at Whitetail Woods after sightings of a terrible monster were recorded there...

"Ugh... Do we have to hunt tonight?" Rainbow Dash complained "It's the Shagaru Festival, and I want my cider!"

"Rainbow Dash, I must insist that you stop your bickering" Rarity hushed her teammate "We will get to the festival soon enough, but if the monster here is a terrible as it was said to be, we might have a serious problem on our hooves."

"Ah gotta agree with Rares on this one, Dash" Applejack agreed "This monster 'ere ain't gonna kill itself, an' who knows ifin it's some kinda elder dragon?"

"Pffff! Yeah, right!" the cyan Pegasus laughed "An elder dragon! In Whitetail Woods! That would be the day, huh?"

Rainbow Dash was interrupted from her laughing when a gust of wind blew her out of the way, forcing her back onto a tree. Shaking her head a bit, she looked up to see that stormy clouds have cast themselves over the forest. However, a huge gasp of shock came out of her mouth when she saw the black shadow slowly descend. As it came into view, she noticed its gleaming metal body and spiky scale, not to mention its ginormous wings. The beast landed on its four feet and let out a haunting mechanical roar.

"A Kushala Daora!" Rarity gasped in surprise before turning back to the fallen mare behind her with a devilish grin "You were saying, Rainbow Dash?"

"Yeah, yeah, you were right and stuff..." the rainbow mare rolled her eyes "But now's not the time for that! We have to beat this thing before it does some serious damage to Ponyville!"

"Couldn't agree more, Dashie!" Pinkie smiled before aiming her heavy bowgun and firing away at the metal dragon. The beast simply reflected these shells before firing a shot of icy breath at the five, knocking them down.

"Well, I mean, it IS a metal dragon" Rainbow shrugged before getting back up and pulling out her dual blades "But now, I think it's time for ol' Kushie here to go to sleep. Permanently!"

The cyan Pegasus rushed forward and striked the elder dragon on its leg, causing little damage to it. However, she put her blades away for a brief second to use her wings and fly up, right before unsheathing them again and cutting off a few of the Kushala Daora's pointy head scales. This attack also scarred its face, leaving it blind on one eye.

"Ha HA!!" Rainbow laughed as she pointed her blades at the dragon "Take that, you overgrown tin can!"

(Music Stop)

The Kushala Daora did nothing more than roar at Rainbow Dash before turning around and flying away, the dark clouds following it soon after. She took a deep breath before her friends came to her aid.

"Rainbow, are y'all alright?" Applejack asked in a concerned tone.

"Oh, I hope that bad old dragon didn't hurt you..." Fluttershy checked her cyan friend's body for any wounds.

"Nah, I'm fine..." Rainbow chuckled off her pain before looking in the direction the Kushala Daora went "But that Kusha... When I find it again, I have a score to settle with it... Now, how about we get some cider to ease off the night, eh?!

"YEAH!!" the team cheered before rushing off back to Ponyville.

These five had begun a brand new adventure after the defeat of the Shagaru Magala. The monsters were tough, and the trials were near impossible, but they pulled through every time. But even adventurers need a break, and that's where our final ending comes into play. Three mares are enjoying their time at the festival. To most, it was a happy time. But to these three, it was, simply put, the best day ever...

"Jaggi plushies!" Sun Stone shouted in a chipper voice "Get your very own Jaggi plush! Limited offer, 20% off!"

"Wow, she's really pulling through as a salesmare, huh, Twilight?" Teal smiled as she watched her sister sell her toys like hotcakes "Who knew she had a knack for it?" she stopped when she realized her marefriend wasn't speaking to her anymore "Twilight? Twilight?!"

"Over here, Teal!" the lavender mare called out from a hill not too far from the teal Pegasus's location. The latter raced over to her and landed beside her, giving her cheek a nuzzle.

"Hey babe, what's up?" she grinned cockily.

"Just looking at the stars..." Twilight answered "I always found them to be so beautiful... What about you?"

"Eh, I suppose they could be better" Teal shrugged "Alright, ready for a corny joke? You're the brightest star in MY sky, Twilight... Wow, can't believe I just said that!"

"I'm not sure anyone would" the Unicorn giggled "Hey, Teal? I've, um... I've been meaning to ask you something..."

"Hmm?" the teal Pegasus wondered "Sure, shoot!"

"Well, you see, I-"

"Hey you two!" Sun Stone called out as she approached her sister and friend "Having a bit of a romantic date, are we?"

"You could say that, yeah" Teal laughed "But, wait, aren't you supposed to be-"

"Those plushies sold, like, super fast!" the light brown teenaged mare laughed "I got some time off until those Felynes can restock them. Cheers to cat slavery!" she let out a giggle "Nah, just kidding. I pay them."

"So... Twilight..." the teal mare awkwardly spoke "That question?"

"Ah, right, sure!" Twilight nodded "Look, Teal, we've been together for a while, and, y'know, I was just wondering-"

"Oh, spit it out already!" Sun kicked the lavender Unicorn's flank, causing her to yelp and shout the last few words.

"WOULD YOU MARRY ME?!" she quickly covered her mouth and blushed deeply. To these three mares, the world went silent from those four words spoken. Sun Stone simply stared in shock, but Teal looked at her marefriend with both sparkles and tears in her eyes.

"I-I mean, um..." Twilight nervously laughed as she ruffled through her saddlebag and pulled out an earring of yoldspar she helped craft herself "I made this for you, as a sign of-"

Teal did not care what her marefriend was about to say. She simply rushed forward and kissed her passionately on the lips. While at first being very surprised by this action, Twilight soon kissed back. It got to the point when they fell over and began rolling down the hill, continuing to kiss. Sun Stone merely watched them and giggled.

"How cute..." she smiled with a small tear in her eye "They were pretty much meant for each other anyway. Well, I better get the wedding ready or something like that. YO! YOU TWO GONNA STOP ANYTIME SOON?!"

Their body language told the teen no.

"Well, have fun then, you lovestruck losers" she giggled jokingly before walking off back to her plush stand.

Were those endings to your liking? I hope so. This world has done so much since I had first created it alongside my sister. However, I fear this peace will not last long. I sense a great calamity arising again... Hmm? You wish to know who I am? While I would very much love to tell you, I must not. Even I know the dangers should I tell you this particular information. However, you will learn eventually, I promise you that. Now, this story has come to a close, and while I do not wish to say goodbye, I must... for now, at least. Until next time, hero. May your adventures soon pierce the Frontier.

Author's Notes:

And with that, the story finally, truly comes to a close. Thank you one and all for reading, and may your adventures continue in the sequel...
