I sat at the table, watching as the human rifled through a book. "The Journals don't say anything about you! What, or rather, who, are you, and where are you from?" The boy stood, looking pissed off.

"I-I come from equestria. My name is Derpy Whooves, I'm a mailmare from ponyville! I'm not sure how I got here, but I'm hungry. Got any muffins?" I said, trying to answer all of the questions thrown at me. He sighed, going to the cupboard.

   "Here."  He tossed a muffin at me. In between bites, I asked him what had happened to make him so sad. He glared at me, before speaking. " My sister is gone, maybe dead. She made a deal with Bill Cypher to protect me. He claimed his end of the bargain, now she's gone."

"Huh. Bill sounds a bit like Discord." The boy looked confused.

"Discord? Who is that?"

I quickly set about explaining how discord had been an evil dick, and the boy looked less confused. "Hey, I never introduced myself! I'm dipper, and you said your name is... Derpy? Why is it Derpy?" To answer his question, I rose to my hooves, and walked across the room and back. He frowned." Ohhh! I see. I'm sorry that you have problems, so do I. I'm weak. If I weren't weak, Mabel would still be here. Teenaged emotional issues." He sighed, looking sad. He looked at me for a couple of minutes. "Why do you have bubbles on your butt?"

  "Techincaly, it's a flank, and that's my cutie mark. It shows my special talent. Mine is blowing bubbles, although I have seen that they also represent frailty. I always take care, because I'm sick in a way that affects my front hooves, not just my eyes."

  The boy looked curious. "What would a cutie mark be for a mystery solver?"

   "Don't we have to save your sister?" The boy looked crestfallen. I hopped down, and using my wings, gave him a hug. "I'm still hungry."
