Chapter 1: Crash Landing

"Crew..." A soft voice rang in the human's head. He opened his eyes, half lidded. "Wake up you stupid human."

Crew groaned at his AI, the soft voice in his head. "Make me..." He said.

While he never understood how a robot could sigh, but she did. "As you wish Crew." Suddenly he felt his heart start to beat faster, and he was forced to take a deep breath in. "Are you awake now Crew?"

Crew coughed the air out of his lungs as he fell on to the floor in shock. He stood up to look in his mirror and saw his eyes were glowing purple. "Enough Alice..." He said. "I told you not to do that anymore..."

She 'humfed'. "Then don't say 'make me', and I won't. It is my duty and programming that-"

"Blah-blah-blah!" He shook his head, falling back on to his soft bed, thankfully it was still warm. "Dad didn't have to put those things in me you know? Send him another mail telling how I'm 'enjoying' the smart ass voice who can kill me if she wanted to..." He rested his hands on his face and made a fake cry of distress. "Why dad! Whyyyyy~!"

"Shut up already!" Alice shouted in his head, causing Crew to grab his head in pain. Whenever she shouted, it was like having an air horn go off right next to his ear drums. "Let me read out the list of things you need to do today before you go see your father at PannCo."

Crew waved his hand. "Go on...lets get this over with..."

"Today: You need to do your laundry, eat that turkey burger that's been sitting in the fridge for the past two days, mail your father about how much you hate going to his meetings, and run the final checks on...ugh...Franky..." If one could hear the disgust in her voice, it was like walking through a meat packing factory, and not the clean side either. "I still do not understand why you wish to name every machine you come across. I only choose to answer by your reference name because I can't do anything about it...but your jet? Come on?!"

Crew winced. "Alright-alright....stop yelling Ally..." He stood up from his bed. "Do you think dad will be mad at me if I bought a field of weed?"

"Wasting money is a bad idea Crew. What if...Franky needs a new dash panel? Or a new paint job?"

Crew rolled his eyes, walking out to do his morning chores and what-not. As he was walking down the halls of his home, he hummed a song he once heard before. He couldn't remember the name, neither did Alice, but the tune was enough to wash away the morning feelings.

The sun was now shining in the sky, sitting happily at the eight'o clock position and not a cloud was in the sky. He smiled to himself. "Perfect..."

Alice would have nodded in agreement. "Being with you for the past six years Crew, they've taught me one thing: Everyday is new."

"That it is Alice." He turned from is backdoor window-door.

His home was located on an isolated island, which made it easy to take off and fly for miles and miles. His father was the founder of PannCo. A internet service provider that basically owned everything that had to do with the internet. He spent millions on research for Nanotech and Biotech to improve his only son Crew. His name was Baron, not the most inviting name, but the man was or could be described as Jesus.

He spent more than billions to improve the global economy. Trillions more just to fund more 'science stuff' as Crew had described it. No one knew why he was so giving with the money he had, but no one really cared too much. World Peace was actually an idea that could be seen.

While Crew was an only child, he was far from alone. Alice was a massive group of controlled self-replicating nanites that was inside of his entire body. She was able to create more of herself, given he had enough iron, gold, and copper in his bloodstream. She could heal him without causing cancer to form in his cells. He was, in a way, a god, at least he thought that much. He could still age, but with 2021 medications, he wasn't going anywhere anytime soon.

"If I may ask. Why do you want to buy a field of 'weed'?"

Crew shrugged and laughed a little. "Because I want to find ways for my father to disown me."

"You know that will be hard to do. Your father loves you very much, and is the only family you have alive." A painful memory of his mother dying in a plane crash flashed. He too was on the plane, but Alice kept him alive long enough for doctors to help him. He looked down sadly. "I-I'm sorry Crew..."

He walked to a mirror to check himself out. He could have looked better, his blond hair was in a disarray, and his blue eyes had two small bags under them. "It's fine." Crew said in a serious tone. "Can you do something-" He motioned down his body. "-about this yet? You download that update?"

"I have, but you look better like this." She giggled. "Besides, you need to hurry. It's already nine."

Crew sighed. "You're killing me here Alice...." He turned away into the kitchen. After a rough search, he found nothing he considered edible other than that turkey burger he just didn't want to heat up. "I think a trip to the mainland is in order."

"Can you take a boat this time? You can't get as much with your jet."

Crew smiled. "Well....I ccccoooouuuullldddd, but jets are more fun."

"I want to smack you. Remind me later when you're fast asleep, to give you the worst adrenaline rush a human could have."

Crew scratched his chin while looking for his pilot's suit and helmet. "Maybe, but we could knock out two birds with one stone with this one."

"Oh?" Alice asked.

"Yeah, Franky needs a test run before we go fly for the StupidBowl. So while we're out, do a few quick tests, and go shopping for more filly cheese steak Hotpockets and some Tang." He smiled at himself. "I'm so smart."

"With me, yes, without, you are as dumb as a brick."

When he found his suit he just started throwing his clothes off to the side. He winked. "Love ya Ally."

"Shut up human..."

"Oh, ow, my feelings."

"What feelings?"

He blinked. "Oh! Right! I don't have any!" He started to laugh and Alice joined in. "Anyhoo, we should get going." Crew zipped up the coat and picked his helmet up.

"Let me prepare my systems for ASM for Franky." There was a long beep followed by a wirl. "Alright, Franky's engines are heating up."

"Thanks." He jumped into a sprint outside. There was a mile long pathway down from his front door to his hanger which was located near the beach.

Alice kept his oxygen levels at their maximum which helped with his body's aerobic respiration, preventing anaerobic respiration from creating harmful lactic acids building up. She also pushed out carbon-dioxide so it wouldn't cause any damages. His whole body was fit, but it still required some assistance to maintain the sprint down to the hanger.

A large smile was on Crew's face. Every time he went to his hanger, a bird he noticed many times before flew above him once again. He looked up at it and waved his hand at it. It made a loud cry before shooting onward ahead where he would meet it once again.

"That bird is so strange." Alice commented.

"Does it matter Alice? It's a bird!"

"Would you like wings too?" She asked him, knowing his answer. "Too bad I can't make them. You don't drink enough milk too make up for the calcium needed to build new bones."

As the pathway began to curve he started to hoop-and-holler. "WOO!" He sped himself up, running as fast as his body could move his legs. There was a small ditch ahead he never felt like filling. His eyes narrowed and he grinned. When he felt like he got close enough, he jumped. However, his timing was never always right, and he ended up under shooting it and tripped over the other side and hitting the ground hard.

Alice mock laughed at him for his fail. "You ate shit..."

Crew got up and brushed the dirt off his suit. "Well, that ruined the moment..." He decided against running again, instead taking it a bit slower. He wasn't far now, maybe a quarter of a mile left to walk, perfect to let his heart rate drop a little.

The pathway he walked had a roof of leaves from the trees around him. His home was on a small island about six by eight miles in area. His house rested on a large hill that gave him a good view of the entire island. Most of the island was covered in a dense forest, but behind his house, maybe two miles away was his very own solar farm with twenty-six solar panels generating power. The pathway he was walking on was made of cobblestone, the ditch was caused by small flood during the last raining season. The ground became too wet and the stones sunk into the ground.

When he arrived at the hanger he saw the ice-blue jet sitting proud on the runway. It's hatch sun orange opened remotely by Alice, and an extendable and retractable ladder moved down to the ground. In his mind, Crew was thinking of Fire and Ice.

"An interesting song choice Crew...However, I do not think it is fitting as you might think."

He waved his hand to Franky. "Look at my jet, and tell me that again Alice."

She didn't anything for a few moments. Then, he could hear a sigh. "Shut up, and get in the damn machine human."

Whenever she got mad at Crew, Alice called him human. This told him that he had earned a victory against machines everywhere. He smiled as he hopped into the cockpit. He put his hands on the controls, feeling the hum of the jet engine as it waited for him to drive it into the sky.

"She's feeling fine..." He said with his eyes closed. There was something and him with machines. He could hear if it was broken or breaking. Whether it was happy to see him or not. "The air pressure's a little off Alice, do you think you could fix that?"

"On it, just a moment." She went to work, fixing the air intake. Instantly Crew felt the engine hum at a more even pace. "How's that?"

He waited to reply, wanting to make sure it didn't start back again to the weirder humming. A grin across his face, he said, "Wonderful Alice, thank you very much. She seems better now. Run full diagnostics, ten seconds."

"Right!" He could hear a happy tone in her voice. Crew knew very well that Alice loved to be praised for her work, quite a personality she had. As he waited he closed the hatch, and saw a full rainbow out in the distance. It was only to top of it, but it was a huge rainbow. "She's ready to go!"

"Everything's functional?"

"At one-hundred percent! Energy levels are max, hydrogen fuel is at max, wings stabilized."

Crew put on his air mask, and strapped himself into the seat. "Contact mainland, tell them I'll be arriving within an hour at sound."

"In a rush?"

He nodded and laughed. "I want to go back to sleep."

"Lazy bum...I'm on it."

Crew chuckled as he set the throttle up. As he moved down the runway, he felt a tingle in his back. Alice had said it was just the jet, but he thought differently. He thought it was strange to feel it as he did. It made him jump a little in his seat, surely the jet didn't cause this. Crew went on with the lift off anyways, really wanting to go back to sleep.

A few minutes later, once he got to cruising altitude, he leaned back in his chair. Thinking once again on the strange feeling he had a few moments ago.

"Are you sure everything's fine Alice?" He asked her, a slight hint of worry in his voice. "That hasn't happened before..."

She hummed, checking over everything once again. "Strange, there's actually an energy serge two miles north of here. Try going sound and getting away from that."

Crew looked out over to the full rainbow. It would be cool to reach sound as he passed through it. He leaned forward in his seat, and pushed it. Accelerating at a rapid pace, he felt the Gs push against him, which made him want to push for more. The more Gs, the better. He wanted to feel the air try to slow him down, but he wasn't having that. He looked over to a small red switch to the left of him. He flipped up the glass case, and turned the switch on.

The jet engines wined into overdrive, and the jet jumped. Already Crew was near the speed of sound, or 'sound' he called it. The air around the cone was starting to move closer to the wings. The speed dial told him he was reaching it, just in time too.

He heard the crack of the barrier snapping behind him as he was only about a mile away from the rainbow. Then, he felt the weird energy again, his eyes opened wide as he tired slowing down. He knew something was wrong! He tried to pull up, but he was too late. His jet jumped in a wrong way, as he cross through it. What he saw then was shocking to say the least.

From being in the middle of open ocean, he was now falling towards a massive white castle resting on an even larger mountain. He couldn't get a handle on his controls.

"ALICE! HELP!" He tried hitting the eject button, but it wasn't working. It must have been jammed by the jump.

"WORKING ON IT!" She shouted back. She started to use all of her processing power to remotely turn the jet, but none of the transponders were working. "Crew! I want you to lean to the left and stay there."

Crew did as he was told, and asked. "We're going to crash!"

"Don't worry! I'll save you!" He heard her say before everything went black from shock.

Only seconds before...

"That was another wonderful performance Rainbow Dash." Celestia said with a warm smile as they and the other Elements of Harmony walked into to castle's throne room. Luna was happily talking with Fluttershy quietly. "Seeing you perform the Sonic Rainboom is truly amazing, I do not think it shall ever get old for me."

Rainbow Dash paused in midstep to stand proudly. "Heck yeah Princess!"

She laughed warmly, then her ears turned towards a strange sound. Everyone then had seemed to notice it. "PRINCESS! GET DOWN!" A guard shouted, flying into the room.

Her reaction was instant with a solar shield, Luna followed with a Aegis Shield, a favorite of hers. They waited only two seconds before the wall  to the right of them blew open as a massive blue metal object crashed through it. Rocks of marble and shards of stained glass were incinerated on impact of Celestia's Solar Shield.

Everyone had their eyes closed until they knew the dust had settled. The shields dropped in suite.

"Is everypony alright?" Celestia asked worry in her voice.

"We're fine." Twilight said, looking to her friends, but it seemed as though Fluttershy had fainted from the shock. "Shaken, but not stirred."

All three princesses looked over to the massive blue object made of metal. "What in mother's name?" Luna asked, angry that her wonderful conversation was interrupted by this blue thing crashing into their castle, their throne room no less!

Twilight ran towards it where she saw orange stained glass. Being one to find answers, she believed she found it, but what she saw was something she had never seen before. Something was sitting inside a small space with two chairs. It wasn't moving either.

"Princess!" She cried. "There's some kind of creature in here! I don't think it's fine!"

Celestia ran towards where Twilight was, and saw something inside. "I think we need a medical team! FAST!" She yelled in her royal voice. Then she looked back inside the metal thing. Using a spell to see if it was alive, she found that whatever was inside of it, had something inside of the living creature. All she could tell were very, very small metal balls inside of him. Thousands at least, more than she was old. They were doing something, acting as though a very powerful healing spell. Her eyes narrowed. "It's powerful...No creature this size could heal so quickly..."

Twilight did the same spell and got the same results and more. "Princess, it doesn't have any magic! I don't think that's possible!"

Celestia turned to the massive hole in the throne room's wall. Her eyes widening. "Such destruction..." He turned back to the creature inside the cause of the destruction. "Twilight, please help me get this creature out of....whatever this is."

Twilight nodded, and both powered up their horns. First they pulled the glass shield off, and lifted it up. Right as they set him down on the ground, laying as flat as possible, a group of unicorn doctors ran into the throne room. First they saw the damage that was done, then saw the princesses standing over a creature who had blood spilling out of it's nose.

"What is it?" One asked.

"Doctor Stable Heart, thank you for arriving so swiftly. We do not know what happened other than this creature inside of that-" She pointed to the blue object. "-and we do not know if it will survive. It is healing, but there is much damage done to it's body."

Stable Heart did a quick medical scan. He found that there were a few things odd about the creature. It was much like a monkey, but the spine and skull were not as fine as it's. He scanned deeper, his horn glowing brighter. His bones were broken, many of them were, but the area where its vital organs were healing at nearly impossible rates!

Stable looked at the princess, shock written on his face. "P-princess, it will live. From what I see, its healing is amazingly fast. IMPOSSIBLE EVEN!" He looked down at it, still in shock. "This is strange as nothing has ever had this ability. However, we might need to take it to the hospital. From what I found, the minerals in its body are being used faster as well. We'll need to IV it until it wakes."

She nodded sternly. "Then do so at once."

He bowed, and teleported out with the other doctors. Celestia turned to the Elements with a frown. "I'm sorry girls. As much as I had enjoyed our little get-together, it seems issues have come up."

"That's a bit of an understatement Sister." Luna said looking to Fluttershy. "Poor girl...she might as well be out until it wakes up too."

Celestia nodded and said, "You all may stay until things have calmed down. We might need you if this turns to be a threat."

"As you wish Princess!" Twilight bowed. "I'm just glad Spike's at the castle..."

Rarity put a hoof on Twilight's shoulder. "Everything's going to be fine darling. Just you wait."

"I sure hope so..."

Unknown to everyone else, Rainbow Dash was still staring at the metal object. She could feel the heat around it from a glowing red bit at the back of it. There were wings on it too, fins at the back too. Her eyes narrowed, "This thing flew in here..." This didn't seem good at all.
