The Ballad Of Glass: Spring
Chapter 7: Jewel
Previous Chapter Next ChapterI sat at a tiny kids play table, head resting in my hand, elbow propping me up. "God...what happened?" I rubbed my face as Jewel walked about, clad in a tiara and a dress. She levitated a tray along beside her, setting up a few stuffed animals around the other edges of the table. She set down a glass of milk before me and a few empty cups around the animals. "...Thank you."
The filly flicked her tail at me and sat down across from me at the plastic table. She nodded at me, flashing that rich maroon mane at me. She levitated her glass up, sipping loudly before closing her eyes and humming.
I looked around the prissy white room. "...Sorry about the bed." I turned my head to face the stripped off sheets. I'd spent the night half on and half off the filly's bed, unable to find my way back to my own room. "I'll make you something good for breakfast, promise." I rubbed my face, carefully drinking the cold glass of milk. "Milk might have been a bad choice." I felt my skin creep as the thick substance passed down my gullet. I shook myself hard, pulling back a sickeningly warm burp. "I'm gonna go get some water...."
Jewel put her hooves on the table and stood up. I watched the filly walk around my side, hurrying over to the door. Once again I was left alone in the young filly's Elk-Tsar inspired room. "...Should I be alone in here?" I looked around, the strange styles a bit unfitting with the rest of the high Canterlot style. "...Feel like I should watch for an Elk crossing." I rubbed my face, my cheeks burning as I tried to hold back the swilling feeling in my stomach. "God...Darcy was right."
Jewel popped back into the room with an entire pitcher of water. "Oh...you're an angel." I held my hands out, letting her levitate that blessed water into my hands. The heavy mess quickly lightened as I poured the gallon down my throat. The cold sensation cooled my throat, then my cheeks, then my forehead, then my entire body. It must have been how metal felt when getting quenched. I closed my eyes, listening as something squeaked.
"He does drink a lot."
"Yeah, too much maybe?"
"Did he pee the bed?"
I stopped drinking, letting my eyes pop open and shoot down to the filly. "...Wot?" I looked around, Jewel was sitting calm, mouth completely shut. One of her animals, a stuffed rabbit bounced on its chair.
"Oh...he heard us." The rabbit bounced in place. Glowing a thin rosy purple as Jewel levitated it up and down.
A stuffed human doll started banging its arms on the plastic table. "So what, he's just a big dumb who doesn't know how to be nice!"
A pony doll started waggling its ears, the filly switching from doll to doll to talk through them. "But he said breakfast, and he didn't be mean."
I stared directly at the filly. "You can talk. Your mother said you couldn't." I scratched my head, the heat starting to rise in my body again.
The filly shrugged and started levitating the human doll around. "Rarity said, talk nice, be good filly, don't do this! Jewel doesn't want to be a good filly all the time! Jewel wants to have fun!" Still the filly's lips never even moved.
I rubbed my face with my fingertips. "Filly, you're weird."
The pony doll waggled its ears again. "You're weird too!"
"I know." I rubbed my brow with my wrist. I let out a long huff and moved my hand up to my forehead. My eyes stung from every little source of light, down to the filly's magical grip. "I'm gonna go shower and start breakfast...what do you want?"
The filly looked around coyly. Her lips pursing for just a moment. "Chips." her lips barely opened, but sure enough her voice was exactly what I was expecting, rich, proper, but with the childishness that a filly her age always carried.
"Fried? I uh...sure, why not, I'll make hash browns or something." I stood up and brushed myself off. "Sound good?"
The filly looked away from me, towards her bed. "Yes." She threw the pony doll at me. I scrambled to catch it, nearly falling backwards as the soft cotton toy was hurled at my head. "Don't tell mom, please. You're my friend, so don't tell her, or I'll tell her you slept in my bed."
I cringed hard. "Ooh, blackmailing so young?"
The filly shook her head. "I'm not little! I'm ten!"
I smiled at her. "That's pretty- pretty youung." I covered my mouth and dropped the toy. "Oh god--" I whirled around and pushed my way out of the room. I threw myself into the hall, slamming against the oposite wall with a loud thud.
"Oh dear, Mr. Glass!?" Rarity's proper voice cried out from below. "Are you--"
I ignored it and started scrounging my way towards the bathroom. I flung the door open and tossed myself against the edge of a bathtub. I leant my stomach over and let forth a torrent of bile, draining my body of the disgusting funk in mere seconds. It burned life battery acid, with a soft coolness on the tail end as the milk came up as well. I closed my eyes as I vomited into the tub, simply waiting for my body to be done tossing itself up and down.
I spat out a few strings of bile, my insides burning like crazy. I did my best to ignore the horridly acidic taste of vomit. "Fuck--" I spat again, throwing my arm out to try and find the water. "Please...gods above, help me." I groaned loudly and slapped the faucet on. A rush of ice cold water splashed over my head and down my back, seeping into my shirt and dripping down into my waistband. My ass went cold as the water dripped down my body, sending a sharp chill up my back. "Oh god... Celestia, whoever, thank you."
I felt my head grow heavy as the water soaked in, leaving me cool and clean. I pulled at my mouth cutting off a few strands of saliva. "Sweet mother above...." I fished my head out of the tub and squeezed the water out of my mane. I turned off the showerhead and scrambled back over to the sink, ducking my head into it and letting the water rain down into my mouth.
My lips burned, my mouth was sticky, my eyes hurt and my throat ached. A rough night indeed, but nothing I couldn't bounce back from. I felt a bit like a water balloon, each chug of pristine water started to clear my mind, cool my body, and wake my soul. I let out a strange moan and pulled away from the sink. "Fuck...everything." I splashed some water on my face and started to pull my hair back. "Just...dicks, cocks, dicks, and butts." I turned off the sink and walked back to the bathroom door. "Oh...please, just.... Body, you need to stop." I closed the door again and turned to the toilet. "Please...stop leaking!" I fished myself out and let it flow.
I stood there, leaned against the wall as the sound of rushing piss sounded off. "...Alright...." It continued, pouring more and more bright yellow into the toilet. "...Okay, come on now." I leaned my head against my arm against the wall. "It's enough! Let off it! Alright, I bloody get it!"
"Glass, who are you talking to?"
I looked down at the floor. "Uh, no one! Just, rough morning." I finally finished up, tucking myself away and sorting myself out. Hand washed, mouth clean, a quick finger tooth brush, hair sorted. I was finally fixed, but completely empty now. "I hunger--" I cut myself off and slumped forward. "Eurghle." I turned back to the door and hurried out, finding Jewel standing with her pony doll on her back. I made sure my fly was up and fixed my shirt. "...Not a word."
Jewel threw the doll at me again. "Potato."
I grabbed the doll and held it under my arm. "You have a promising future as a ventriloquist."
Jewel stared at me, then gave a quick look around. "What?"
I shook my head and nudged my head to the stairs down. "Nothing. Food, now come on. Bloody starving."
The pony doll lit up in my hand. "Jewel's not food!"
I smiled at the filly. "Food for a monster."
The filly's ears went flat, her sharp maroon mane flipping up for just a moment as her ears flicked. "No...."
"Uh huh."
"No."
"Big ol--"
"No!" The doll was ripped from my hands. "No monsters!"
I clenched my hand hard as the doll ripped away. I thought back to her father, Rarity's leg, the barrens. "I'm just playing...now, come on, something to eat will start the morning off right. Okay?"
The filly covered her face with her doll, keeping her blue eyes focused on me. "Okay." Next Chapter: Escape Estimated time remaining: 2 Hours, 49 Minutes
