Chapter 6: Through the Ghost

"You can't have a conscience when you kill, Pinkamena. You have to be willing to be judge, jury, and executioner. You have to murder in cold blood if you want to survive the trials of this life."

Pinkie tried with all of her might to expell the nightmarish thoughts that threatened to overtake her mind. Blood. Pain. Death. Lust. She tried to ignore it all but to no avail. She remained curled in the corner of her hospital room, a thunderous storm threatened to crash everything and to break her spirit. She knew the truth behind everything, she was never going to be able to destroy the monster she now harbours in her black soul. Nothing and no one can save her now. She was to remain a blight on this world for as long as she was breathing.

Pinkie shaked and shuddered as she felt fresh blood on her skin. She could feel her brain splitting in shattered pieces. Her sanity slowly slipping away from her.

Pinkie nearly jumped out of her skin as she saw a figure enter the room. She heard the cocky and benine voice of her elder sister Granite Pie, "Well well, what have I found? A very attractive ambiguous murderer. Never thought I would put those words in the same sentence."

Pinkie shakily rose to her feet and said anxiously, "Y-you're not r-real."

The tall and curvaceous figure of Granite Pie was not reassuring to Pinkie. Her silver white hair put Pinkie on edge and so did her lust filled eyes. Granite cracked a half smile and responded, "I am as real as you want me to be."

Granite advanced towards Pinkie that caused a vengeful fire to begin to rise in the pit of Pinkie's stomach. Pinkie growled at her elder sister, "I watched you die in front of me. Don't make me think otherwise."

A sly chuckle escaped Granite's voluminous lips. Granite had a habit of taking after their mother, performing the dirty acts and manipulating people to get what you want. Whether it was family or others, it did not matter. Granite finally came within inches of Pinkie and her bright red smile shined in the moonlight. Pinkie braced herself against the wall. Granite stood a half a head taller than Pinkie and she was very muscularly toned, a perfect figure. Granite leaned in closer to Pinkie feeling her hot lust filled breath dance over the pores of her face as she said, "Don't pretend that you don't have a dirty side Pinkie Pie. You can't boil up your desires, they can destroy you."

Pinkie snarled, "Don't manipulate me."

Granite lightly glided her soft warm hands over Pinkie's sides underneath the patient's gown and caressed the areas with expert movements. As Granite worked her hands over Pinkie she leaned in closer and licked her tongue over the surface of Pinkie's cheek. Pinkie convulsed under Granite's touch. Pinkie always hated Granite. She never knew why, but she did. It might have to do with the fact she was so much like their mother. Granite whispered after another lick, "I don't manipulate those that want it."

Pinkie felt warm soft lips dance across her own. They were firm but soft to the touch, Pinkie turned her head away breaking the kiss. But Granite was persistent, she turned Pinkie's head back to face her and Granite again said, "I'm the only thing that is keeping away those murderous thoughts of yours. Be thankful."

Their lips touched once more, this time Granite was more forceful. She put more pressure into her lips and into her hands. Try as she might, Pinkie was not able to resist Granite anymore. Pinkie did have pent up aggrestion and tension that Granite only knew to release. And that's was makes Pinkie sick the most about it, the fact that she was actually giving into Granite's demands.

Granite raised her hands just beneath Pinkie's breasts and caressed the skin there, and as her hands did so her tongue escaped her mouth and threatened to invade Pinkie's. It was then that Pinkie had an idea. Surprising Granite, Pinkie accepted the tongue and pulled her in closer pressing their bodies together. Pinkie had learned a few tricks from her mother, on how to tell fantasy from reality. When faced with a desire fantasy, the seductor/seductress will only be there to seduce. If the fantasy is caught off guard then the fantasy will fade away. And that is just what happened. Pinkie Pie felt the illusion her mind played on her fade and the nightmarish thoughts return.

Pinkie opened her eyes and almost instantly crawled out of her own skin. She was currently locking lips with her savior, Rarity. Pinkie grew wide eyes, the same size as Rarity's. Their tongues hard pressed against each other and their warm bodies collided and pressing ever closer against one another. Pinkie quickly broke away from the kiss and said flinching under Rarity's surprised gaze, "I'm so sorry! Please, please forgive me! I...I...I..."

She could no longer let words come out of her mouth as tears flowed like streams out of her eyes. She felt her body grow colder as the nightmarish thoughts returned. She felt alone once again, she had quickly betrayed the not even established friendship. Even damaged another person in the process, not physically but mentally. And that is something even worse than physical wounds.

"Thank you! Have a nice day!"

Oh, not a nice day at all. Rarity has had better days, well considering what your definition of 'better' is. Seems like the more generous Rarity is the more it taxes on herself. She just paid half of what she had left on the bill and she barely has enough now to break even. Rarity did not need this stress in her life. To make matters even worse, she had to resupply herself. Joy oh joy. But in the long run this would pay off, it had to. Rarity had been generous before, but this was a whole other beast in itself. She could not help Pinkie if she remained callous, she needed a way to know what happened to her.

Rarity slowly advanced through the very bare and eye soring bleakness of the hospital walls. Rarity scoffed, "One would think that at least someone would fix the dreadful decor of this place."

There were only a few things in this world that can set Rarity off the edge. Poor decorations and bad taste in color. Clearly, the decorators did not have the same mind set as her. Looking at the bleak light green walls allowed her time to think and relax, despite the poor taste in color. She felt a sense of longing, like she was missing something inside of her. What could it be? So far she had everything she has ever wanted. Her father was sent to jail, her career as a seamstress was at an all time high, and she nearly had enough money to buy the old town hall. Everything was going according to her schedule. Aside from missing her rent. But she could not shake the empty feeling she felt within herself.

She had been given a fresh set of clothes to give Pinkie once she was ready to leave. That poor girl. Rarity had to be careful bringing up that part, it was the first milestone in finding out how to help her. It was the only way, and she could not screw it up.

Rarity found herself once more at room 13, the room that harboured poor Miss Pie. Rather abruptly she opened the door and came in and said, "Okay Pinkie, the doctors said that you can leave whenever you want. I have filled out the paperwork and payed the bill, here is your fresh set of clothing."

Rarity looked up and saw Pinkie bracing herself against the wall mext to the window and anger was kept on her face. Pinkie Pie hissed, "Y-you're not r-real."

Rarity set the clothes on the bed and carefully sidled over to Pinkie and said raising her arms, "Pinkie Pie, it's me Rarity. The one that saved you."

As Rarity got closer her anger seemed to steam and she tightened her grip on the walls, turning her knuckles white. Rarity was surprised at her sudden anger at her, then it occurred. Perhaps Pinkie was not talking to her at all. Maybe she was repeating what happened on the road. Rarity placed both her hands on Pinkie's cheeks and said gently, "Pinkie Pie. It's me Rarity, you're...Hmfh!"

Then Pinkie Pie forcefully pulled Rarity in for a long kiss on the lips. Pinkie was very slow and very experienced with her kiss. Very experienced. Rarity had not been kissed like that at all, especially from a woman. This was the first time she found herself getting kissed by a woman. Rarity tried to escape her grip but she was too strong. Pinkie pulled her in closer and their chests collided and softly pressed against each other, eliciting a high pitched squeak from Rarity. Pinkie's hands moved seductively down Rarity's back letting an involuntary moan of pleasure to escape her mouth. Rarity slowly got into the kiss and her eyes started to close then Pinkie pushed Rarity away. Rarity's eyes became saucers once more as she saw Pinkie shudder and she asked with remorse in her eyes and hurt in her words, "I'm so sorry! Please, please forgive me! I...I...I..."

Pinkie let tears flow out of her eyes again and she fell to the ground. Rarity caught her and soothed like a mother talking to a child, "Hey. It's alright, I knew you weren't being yourself there darling. I forgive you."

Pinkie raised her head out of her hands and in a surprised voice she asked, "But...why? Why do you forgive me? I j...I just...I just made out with you, and you're just willing to forgive me for that?"

"Well, yes." Rarity answered very calmly and collectedly, "You were not being yourself. You lost yourself in your mind. You were facing a fantasy that you pulled yourself out of. Not a lot of people can do that. I saw it in your eyes."

Rarity hesitantly moved her hand up and gently combed a strand of hair out of Pinkie's face. As she combed it away Pinkie said very innocently, "You really are a good person."

Rarity pulled her hand back and rested it on her knee, she leaned in and gently kissed Pinkie on the cheek. Rarity replied with a smile, "That's what friends are for, darling."

Pinkie remained silent after Rarity pulled herself back. Rarity helped her stand, as the wounds were not fully healed yet. Rarity quickly braced herself and Pinkie Pie nearly toppled over, Rarity caught her and said, "I got you darling."

Pinkie looked up at her with reassurence in her eyes and finally stood up. Rarity did not fully break down the emotional wall that still remained firm between them, but she had removed the first brick. Rarity said, "I will wait outside while you change. Just call out my name if you need a hand."

Rarity gave a quick smile and walked out of the room, as she pressed her hand to the cold door handle she turned as Pinkie called out, "Rarity wait!"

Rarity carefully turned and met Pinkie's innocent gaze and said, "What is it darling?"

Pinkie answered timidly, "Can you wait for me in here? I...I don't trust myself alone..."

Rarity smiled and removed her grip from the handle and returned, "Sure thing darling."

Author's Notes:

High you guys! Here's another chapter for ya! I know it is not like the others. But this is the way I intend to write the rest of the story. A good chunk of chapters taking place in the past and a chunk taking place in the present. I have never really written a story in this style before, so I wanted to try it out. If you have an opinion on it, positive or negative, let me know and I might make the requested changes. But as it stands so far I'm writing the fic like this.

So, there you are.

See you guys next chapter!:raritywink:
