Fireteam Crimson is tasked with a listening post detail, to try and find Jul Mdama. The world they find themselves on, however, is very different than they ever thought... and on the brink of war.

Fireteam Crimson, on a deep reconnaissance mission, finds a world unlike any other, and are then tasked with saving that world who's own greed has doomed it. The fires that forged their war machine run deep in the past, and manifests in their future. Only time will tell if they are worth saving, despite the damnation that follows in their wake. With Equestria being on the precipice of war, the whole world is ready to ignite. It only takes one match to light the powder keg... a crimson match.
Get the Halo 4 maps by doing a file search for "FoE Crimson" on Waypoint or in-game. These are the areas described in the book, made to the best of my abilities in Forge.
