Rush walked up to Rarity’s door, knocking on it. “Hello?”
“The door is open, darling! I’m a bit busy at the moment, so please let yourself in.” A voice came from within the shop.
Opening the door, Rush walked inside. He looked around the tidey shop, noticing the various beautifully made dresses and suits. “Wow…” He said quietly, his eyes widening a little. Hearing noises come from the back, he made his way through the door separating the two halves of the shop.
“Ah! There you are, darling. I need your help rather drastically. If you would please undress yourself?” Rarity asked, rifling through a chest.
Rush stared at her for a moment, before finally stammering, “Uh… s… sure.” He shakily undressed, making sure to keep his underwear on. “D-done.”
“Wonderful! Now, try this on,” Rarity said, tossing a bundle of folded clothes at Rush. He nodded, quickly putting the suit on.
A few minutes later, he was finished. “Got it.” He said, fiddling with the tie.
Turning from her latest project, Rarity looked him up and down, blushing at how well it defined his figure. “Excellent, darling. Now, would you kindly take that off-and please fold them back- so as to try these on?” Rarity asked, holding out a pair of overalls.
“Alright.” Rush nodded once more as he carefully took the suit off, after a few minutes he handed the folded bundle back to her and took the overalls, bending over slightly as he put the on.
Unbeknownst to him, Rarity had yet to turn back to her chest of clothes, instead using her time to take in the view, ogling Rush’s firm behind through his thin pair of boxers. Just before he finished putting on his overalls, Rush glanced back at Rarity, catching her in the act of staring.
Noticing that she had been caught, Rarity coughed, her face turning as red as a tomato. “Ehm...d-darling there w-was something on the bottoms, and I was thinking of how to get it off!” She said.
“Oh… well thank you then.” Rush smiled.
Her eyes widening, Rarity said, “You bought that? I-I mean! Ehm...no problem! Just...being generous and all that.”
Rolling his eyes while she couldn’t see, Rush turned back around to show her how the overalls looked.
“Oh...oh my Celestia…” Rarity said, trailing off at the sight of Rush’s chest. The suspender straps of the overalls covered his nipples, but other than that, all of his chest was revealed. In the brief seconds she had to look, Rarity noticed that his chest hair was a mite fluffier than most others she had seen. “It looks amazing, Rush. Now, take those off, too, I’ve a few more you need to try on.”
Rush looked behind her, his eyes falling on the large pile of folded clothing just to her side.
He sighed. It was going to be a long first day.

“Well, that seems to be all. The only thing left on the agenda seems to be an errand I need completed. Would you be a dear and complete it for me?” Rarity asked, handing Rush a slip of paper.
Rush nodded, saying, “Sure, I’d love to.”
“Thank goodness. I’d do this myself, but I’m terribly busy today. Now, head down to Barnyard Bargains. I’ve placed an order for silk there, and that slip of paper is the receipt for it. Just hand it to the clerk, and they should hand you a roll of pure white silk. Then, walk it back here and set it down on that plastic tarp over there-she pointed to an area of the floor covered in clear plastic-, and that’ll be the end of your first day here! Seems simple enough, yes?”
He nodded again, “Yeah, it does.” He took the paper from her, walking to the door.
“Rush?”
Rush turned around and looked at her, “Yes?”
Walking up to him, Rarity draped her arms around his neck, kissing his cheek. “Be safe. We’ve come a long way, but some ponies are still bigots, and some of them work there.” She hugged him before letting go, walking back to her sewing machine with a small sway in her hips. Rush stood there silently for a moment before quickly turning back around before she could notice his face turning red.
“I’ll… be back soon.” He said quickly. Just as quickly, he walked out of the store.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Rush slowly walked into Barnyard Bargains and approached the main counter.Spotting the mare manning it, he said, “Hello? I’m here to pick up a roll of white silk.”
The cashier took the receipt from his hand, looking at it for a brief moment before saying, “This is supposed to be handled by the assistant manager, sorry. He should be over in the office to your left.” The mare handed him back his receipt.
Rush waved as he walked towards the office, “Alright, thank you for your time anyway.”
“No problem!”
Rush walked up to the door to the office, knocking on it.
After a moment, the door opened, and Rush saw a smiling stallion open the door. However, as soon as the stallion saw Rush, his smile disappeared. “Hello, sir, and welcome to Barnyard Bargains, where our deal is making you one. How can I help you?” He said in a bored tone of voice.
“I’m here to pick up a roll of white silk.” Rush explained, holding out the receipt.
Looking down at the receipt, the stallion quickly said, “Nice try, zebra. Who’d you steal this from, hmm?”
Rush was taken aback by the stallion’s behaviour, it was even more clear as he spoke, “What? I didn’t steal this from anypo-”
Cutting off the zebra, the stallion said, “Don’t even try to convince me that you didn’t. I hand all of these out myself, and I’ve never given one to one of...your kind. Now, if you tell me who you stole it from, maybe, just maybe, I won’t call security on you.”
“I’m telling the truth! I’m running an errand for my boss, Rarity! She’s a seamstress, that’s why I’m picking up silk!” Rush said defensively.
“A likely story, better than most I hear. But I know for a fact that Rarity doesn’t have any other workers, she never has.” The stallion said, slowly smirking.
“She just hired me!” Rush retorted. “This is my first day!”
A well dressed stallion approached, almost angrily questioning, “What’s going on over here?”
“Ah, thank you for coming over, sir. I was just stopping this thief from stealing somepony’s receipt. He walked in, saying he was doing an errand for somepony, Rarity I think, as if she would ever hire help fro-”
“Just stop.” The second stallion said as he glared at the other. He then turned to Rush, “I’m completely sorry about this colt’s behaviour. You must be Rush, I’m Filthy Rich.” He stuck his hand out.
Rush smiled and shook Filthy’s hand, saying, “I am, and it’s fine just as long as I can finally get the silk.”
Filthy Rich smiled, “That you will.” He turned back to the other stallion, “And I’ll want to see YOU in my office for your final paycheck right after I’m done.”
“Wh-what? That’s completely unreason-”
“Unless you don’t want that paycheck.”
Closing his mouth, the ex-assistant manager fumed, walking back into the office and slamming the door.
Turning back to Rush, Filthy smiled, saying, “Again, I’m terribly sorry that you had to deal with that. My sincerest apologies.”
Rush shrugged, saying, “It’s fine… I just don’t understand why anyone would be accusing someone of being a thief… It really doesn’t make any sense.”
“It’s...it’s complicated. Some ponies are still rather… unaccepting of other species, per se. Sadly, he seemed to be one of them. Now, what was it that he was so callous about?” Filthy said, leading Rush to his own office- the head manager’s.
“This.” Rush said as he handed Filthy the receipt. “I need to pick up a roll of white silk.”
Looking over it for a moment, Filthy smiled. “Oh! Rarity and I were just talking about this the other day! She said she was sending someone to pick it up- I presume it was you?”
Rush nodded. “Yeah. That would be me.”
Filthy chuckled. “But of course. Now, all that’s left to do is get the silk itself. Rarity told you it was pure white, yes? Well, being that it is, she wants it to stay pure white, so she’s paid extra to get a spell put around it that temporarily keeps all dirt, liquids, anything really, to be repelled from the surface of the silk. However, this spell does have its limits, one of which is quantity. I must urge you not to let the roll of silk touch the ground. The spell would recognize the whole of Equus itself as a mass, and try to repel it! Instantly failing, of course. Now,anything else that happens to it should be fine, short of a tidal wave of mud and the likes. The only other thing worth mentioning about the order is that the roll of silk is rather heavy. Would you like a wagon?” Filthy said, quickly becoming serious.
“No, I’ll be fine.” Rush assured.
Looking at him warily, Filthy said, ‘If you’re sure. Now, let’s head over to the back and get you this silk, alright?”
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Sitting at her sewing machine, Rarity hummed a tuneless song, merely making noise to occupy herself.“Hmmm dum dummm...stitch by sti- oh? What was- Rush! Oh my Celestia, are you alright?” Rarity said. Walking through the door was Rush, his mane dripping with sweat, all over his shirt(which was thoroughly soaked with it already).
Rush panted quietly, “I’m… fine… Just a little… tired now…” He walked over to the tarp, shakily setting the silk down on it.
“Oh dear! Rush, darling, please sit down! And, before you do, please take that disgusting shirt off...I’ll run and grab you a glass of cold lemonade, okay?” Rarity said, quickly heading into the kitchen.
Rush nearly collapsed into a chair, barely managing to get out, “Sounds… nice.” He managed to pull his shirt off and continued to take in deep and heavy breaths.
Rushing back out to the living room, Rarity was nearly floored by the smell of sweaty zebra, the musk assaulting her nostrils with the strangely delicious smell of sweaty zebra. “Ah...R-Rush, did you carry that roll of silk all the way here? That must be a hundred pounds, and the walk is half a mile, at least!”
Rush chuckled, “Seemed… a lot… longer.” He let out a sigh, “Next time though… I’m definitely taking a wagon…”
“Yes, that seems li-” Interrupted by a knock at the door, Rarity glanced back at Rush before opening it, finding one little unicorn standing there, another on its back.
“Hi Rarity!” Sweetie Belle said, “The rest of the CMC got picked up from Sugarcube Corner, so we decided to wait here until Mr. Rush came home. Dinky got really tired on the way here, though, so I told her I’d carry her here.” Walking inside, Sweetie screwed up her face in determination, slowly levitating Dinky over to the couch so as to not wake her up.
Rush stood up, preparing to take her home. Before he could get very far, though, Rarity ran up to him, putting her hands on his chest to stop him for a moment. “Now, I know you need to take her home, and while it may not be the end of the normal workday, I’ll let you go home to stay. Her bag is just by the door, and...here is your pay!” She said, levitating a hefty bag of bits into his pocket.
“Thanks.” Rush smiled as he slowly picked Dinky up, cradling her sleeping form. “I’ll see you tomorrow then.”
Making sure Sweetie was out of the room, Rarity quickly walked up to Rush, gently pressing her lips to his nose for a brief moment. “Thank you for being so nice,” she gave him another small peck on his cheek, “patient,” the other cheek, “and so very helpful.” And with a final kiss, this one to his lips, Rarity walking to the kitchen, getting ready for dinner. Rush was motionless for a second time today, his mouth hanging open slightly as his mind reeled back into place.
“Th..anks…?” He mumbled uncertainly as he stepped back. He slowly turned around and carried Dinky to the door, scooping up her bag moments before leaving the store and walking back home. After a few minutes he arrived at the house and opened the door as best he could and silently carried Dinky back to her room before walking back out to the living room to await Derpy. As he sat down he pulled the bag of bits out and set it down on the table in front of the couch. He just stared at it, still thinking about what had happened just a few minutes prior.
The front door opened, and the next thing he knew, Rush was enveloped in soft, warm, pegasus teat. “Oh, I missed you so much, Rush!” Derpy said, unknowingly smushing Rush’s face in her cleavage.
“MMPH!” Rush’s voice was entirely muffled by the breasts surrounding his entire head.
“Rush? Didn’t you miss me t-...oh.” Finally realizing what had happened, Derpy leaned back, pulling Rush’s face from her tits, then pulling him back up into a passionate kiss. Rush relaxed and hugged her, though she noticed his grip was a little weaker than usual.
Breaking the kiss, Derpy managed to pant out, “R-Rush? You seem a… bit more… tired than usual. Is somthing… wrong?”
“Just tired. Nothing’s wrong beyond that.” Rush assured her with a soft smile. “Never thought I’d be carrying a massive roll of silk on my first day.”
Derpy giggled, “Well, you’re day sounded excited… and exhausting.” Thinking for a moment, she smiled, saying, “You know what? Why don’t you go take a nap, hmm? You deserve it. Don’t worry, I’ll wake you up for dinner. Sound good?”
“Sounds good… but, um, first… I think Rarity was acting a little strange.” Rush started to explain.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
After he was done, Derpy sat there with a crease on her brow, thoughts racing through her mind. “Huh...well, I’ll just have to talk to her, then. But before anything else happens, I want you to go to our room and take a nap. MY big, strong teddy zebra worked hard today, and he needs his rest,” She said, kissing his nose. Rush kissed her back, gently nuzzling her.
“I can’t wait to have my beam of sunshine right beside me.” He smiled as he got up from the couch, reluctantly letting go of her to walk back to the bedroom. As he stumbled into the room he nearly tripped over his bag, catching his balance he saw a spray bottle sitting in plain view. “Huh?”Reaching down, he picked it up. He read the label on it, “L.G.P…” He paused for a moment and his eyes widened as something clicked in his head. “Oh... my... “ He mumbled. “That’s… what caused… oh… oh sweet Celestia... “ He quickly reached down into his bag, pulling out a slip of paper. His eyes darted over it, reading, ‘From mom, I hope you find some of these useful, though there are some I wish your father hadn’t decided to send along.’ Attached directly to the note was a small list with various acronyms in his native language, though two were written in Equish and both clearly his dad’s handwriting, ‘L.G.P- Low Grade Pheromone, used to entice the opposite sex into more meaningful and close contact.’ “No… no… no no…” Rush mumbled. Right below it on the list it said, ‘H.G.P- High Grade Pheromone, this is a VERY powerful aphrodisiac, only use when you need to increase sex drive in the other partner(s).’
Rush took in a few deep breaths. “Okay… n… no harm done… just… tell her tomorrow…” He put both the note and the bottle back into the bag and closed it, shakily climbing into bed and laying back. “Right… t… tomorrow.” He repeated as he felt his entire body grow heavy, “Tomor…” He trailed off as his eyes closed and he passed out.
