Night of the Eternal Dragon.
Chapter 2: Ch.2- Discovery
Previous Chapter8 years later
'Make it stop...' Celestia silently begged. Barely two hours had passed since the start of the day court and already Celestia felt bored out of her mind. The nobles just kept complaining. 'They won’t. Stop. Complaining.'
Celestia felt a strong urge to facehoof each time a noble opened his mouth. Their complaining were none Celestia's concerns in the least. Each selfish claim made Luna's insistence on bringing back death penalties seem more and more tempting.
On the inside, Celestia was screaming for this torment to end. On the outside though, she remained stoic and regal. The perfect princess…
Celestia was snapped out of her thoughts when she felt a strong magical surge from the Everfree. 'But where on the Everfree?' Celestia felt the surge again only this time much stronger. 'It's coming from the.... My old castle?'
Celestia turned her attention back to the noble. He kept talking with closed eyes and nose high up in the air He was completely oblivious to the fact that the princess wasn't even paying attention to him. It was another thing that annoyed Celestia. Nobles never seemed to notice what's happening right under their noses, unless it affects their bank accounts, of course.
"-and that's my honest opinion, wouldn't you agree, princess?"
' Uh oh…' the noble's word went completely over Celestia's head, and now she was trapped. On one hoof, she could agree, and potentially give the 'go ahead' signal to something immoral and unjust. And on the other hoof, she could disagree and avoid the potential disaster.
The magical surge came again, only this time the whole walls started shaking, the windows started to crack, the noble lost his balance and fell face first.
Celestia turned towards the nearest window and saw a bright purple light coming from the old castle. Celestia turned her neck and addressed the noble with a fake smile. "I'm sorry for this mild inconvenience. Please feel free to petition your offer so that I may have a better look at it."

Everfree Forest
Ow. My head really hurts. Mom never said I’d get a headache when the spell was over.
Hiya I'm Chron. I’m eight-years-old and recently just started the next level of magic training. My mom always told me I shouldn't put to much energy onto my horns, or I might get a major headache like the one I have right now.
"Chron?"
I opened my eyes and saw my mom in front of me, looking very worried.
Her worried expression quickly turned into one that was annoyed. "Chron, I told you, you shouldn't put to much energy to those horns of yours." Mom sighed in relief, after seeing that I was okay, the blue bag still held firmly by her mouth. She stopped and lowered her neck, gently laying the bag on the ground.
As it opened, a small light radiated from the inside, Mom plunged a paw inside and came out with-
"Gems!!!"
My mom chuckled. "Yes gems dearie, you've been working so hard lately, I decided to give you a reward."
I plunged towards the delicacy, and ate them all without any signs of stopping.
Mom reached back inside the bag and took out a salmon for her self. My mom isn't really like other moms, first of all she's a cat named Nyx, which is kind of weird if you think about it, a cat being the mother of a baby dragon, but hey my uncle is a vulture, so ya I have a weird family, but I wouldn't trade them for anything.
Mom's ears twitched, she turned towards the door with a scared look. "Chron hide."
The sound of clopping on stone caused my ears to turn towards the door, I run and hide behind one of the thrones and shut my eyes, listening, hoping I wouldn’t be found out.
The doors slammed opened, a tall white unicorn came out, on closer exception she also had wings! Maybe she's a pegacorn!, or maybe a Unisaus! (Mom never did bother with teaching me about ponies, said that they should be avoided.)
'She's just like that tall blue one, that came here last year.'
The tall white mare also had a sun mark on her butt. ' I think ponies call them Butt Marks! I think I'll call her Sunbutt until I find out her real name.'
'Sunbutt' looked around the throne for awhile, before walking closer to the throne.
'I hope she doesn't see me.'
"Your tail is sticking out."
I yelped, before tucking my tail in. "Uhh, no it isn't."
Sunbutt raised an eyebrow. "You do know that I already know your there."
"No, I'm not!" I pointed the other side of the room. "I'm over there." Genius Chron.
Suddenly, without warning her horn glows with some yellow aura and I hear that shimmering sound. However, I’m not thinking about that, because I feel my whole body surrounded by that strange tingling feeling I’d felt on my horns before, only different this time. Not only that, but I’m lifted into the air and held there. No matter how hard I struggle, I can’t get free.
I look to Sunbutt, wondering what’s going on, before my heart leaps into my throat. She's just staring at me 'menacingly', a small smirk stretch across her face. "Hello there little one, where are your parents?"
